Streamlining Operations and Cutting Costs with AP Outsourcing
For businesses seeking to improve efficiency and reduce expenses, payables outsourcing offers a highly effective solution. By shifting accounts payable operations to specialized providers, companies can cut costs, improve accuracy, and focus internal resources on growth-driven activities.
One of the most significant benefits is finance cost savings. Maintaining an in-house accounts payable team involves salaries, training, software subscriptions, and infrastructure. Outsourcing eliminates many of these overheads and offers scalable pricing based on transaction volume, making it a cost-effective choice for both small and large businesses.
Automation is another cost-cutting factor. Through invoice automation, outsourcing partners can process large volumes of invoices quickly and with fewer errors. This reduces manual workload and rework, speeds up approvals, and minimizes late fees—ultimately lowering the total cost of AP operations.
Additionally, AP efficiency improves dramatically with outsourcing. Expert providers bring in standardized processes, real-time reporting, and automated tools that streamline the entire workflow. This leads to faster turnaround times, reduced cycle times, and better financial planning.
Another overlooked advantage is the improved ability to measure outsourcing ROI. With detailed reports and KPIs, businesses can easily track performance metrics, compliance rates, and cost savings, proving the value of their outsourced payables investment.
In conclusion, payables outsourcing is more than just a tactical move—it’s a strategic cost-saving measure. From reducing headcount and automating invoices to enhancing AP efficiency and measuring outsourcing ROI, businesses can significantly reduce operational costs while improving financial control and visibility.

Automation’s Dynamic Role in Managing Accounts Payable Workflow
In the accounts payable space, success is defined by efficiency and accuracy. This transformation has been ignited by the emergence of automated Accounts Payable (AP) solutions.
Automated AP process unravels the intricacies and inefficiencies that once burdened financial operations. It ushers in an era where efficiency is no longer an aspiration but an everyday reality. The symphony begins with the capture of invoices, as businesses embrace centralized and automated methods, dancing effortlessly through data extraction and validation techniques that leave no room for errors. Yet, amidst all this, we must not forget the challenges that arise along the way.
Integration of existing accounting systems and data security may become obstacles, but in the face of innovation and adaptability, these challenges can potentially become stepping stones to success. Across industries, from Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) to auto care, retail, and restaurants, businesses are embracing automation to streamline their AP processes and enhance their overall financial management.
In this blog I will comprehensively unveil the challenges and strategic insights that lie at the intersection of automation and payables prowess. Welcome to the future of AP workflow, where efficiency meets ingenuity.
Challenges in Complex AP Workflows
Efforts to streamline intricate AP workflows bring to light a set of well-recognized challenges, each representing a puzzle waiting to be solved. These challenges, while formidable, offer a gateway to a more efficient and effective future. As we explore these challenges, let’s delve a bit deeper into their significance:
Integration Struggles: A noteworthy 75% of organizations concede that integration of automated AP solutions with existing systems poses a substantial hurdle. The task of weaving together different technologies and platforms is akin to assembling a complex jigsaw puzzle, requiring careful consideration and coordination.
Balance Between Automation and Expertise: Striking the delicate balance between the efficiency of automation and the nuanced expertise of human insight is no simple feat. In sectors such as construction and auto care where precision is paramount, this challenge takes center stage. It’s a tightrope walk between harnessing automation’s power and maintaining the irreplaceable touch of human judgment.
Data Security as a Bedrock: For industries handling sensitive data, the challenges are twofold, adopting automation while ensuring stringent data security measures. This issue is not just about implementing new systems; it’s about fortifying digital fortresses to safeguard invaluable information against evolving threats.
Reshaping Workflows: Embracing automation requires reshaping established workflows to fit the demands of the modern business landscape. It’s like molding clay into a new form – a gradual and deliberate process that demands creativity and a keen understanding of your organization’s needs.
Harmonizing Technology and Workforce: Implementing automation isn’t just about deploying new technology; it’s about managing change and ensuring that the human workforce adapts seamlessly. The challenge lies in nurturing a culture that embraces innovation while empowering employees to thrive in the new digital environment.

"Kristina Smithe was running the California International Marathon in 2019, grabbing cups of water to stay hydrated, when she started to think about how much waste such events produce. On the flight home, she did the math: 9,000 runners, 17 aid stations and something like 150,000 cups used once and thrown away.
“I was just shocked that, even in California, it’s not sustainable,” Smithe said.
That sparked her idea for something more durable — a lightweight, pliable silicone cup that could be used again and again. After working out a design, Smithe ordered her first shipment and tested them at a race in 2021.
Now her business, Hiccup Earth, has 70,000 cups that Smithe rents out to interested races to replace the typical white paper cups that can pile up like snowdrifts at busy water stops.
Billions of disposable cups are used around the world each year. These cups are often made of plastic, but even if they are made of paper, they typically have a plastic lining that makes it difficult for them to biodegrade. And making these cups, and disposing or burning them, generates planet-warming greenhouse gas emissions.
“That’s just a small subset of the amount of plastic waste that we produce, but it’s a pretty visible one,” said Sarah Gleeson, solutions research manager and plastics waste expert at climate nonprofit Project Drawdown. “It’s something that generates a lot of waste, and waste — depending on what exactly it’s made of — can really last in landfills for hundreds of years.”
As she was getting her business off the ground, Smithe emailed race directors to ask if their event used disposable cups.
“The answer was always yes,” she said. Her response: “If you’re looking for a sustainable solution, I have one.”
Now, she rents out the cups by the thousand, driving them to events in massive totes and leaving bins with the company logo for collection after use. Smithe picks up the used cups and washes them in a proprietary dishwasher.
At the PNC Women Run the Cities race in Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota, in early May, Smithe helped quench the thirst of thousands of runners, dropping off 17-gallon tote bags full of her flexible blue cups.
After that race, Smithe, 35, estimated she’s taken her cups to 137 races and spared 902,000 disposable ones from the landfill. She also says her washing process needs only 30 gallons (114 liters) of water per 1,500 cups. An average efficient household dishwasher uses 3 to 5 gallons (11 to 19 liters) for far fewer dishes.
“It’s just a solution to a problem that’s long overdue,” Smithe said.
One trade-off is that the cup rentals cost race directors more than other options. Disposable cups might run just a few cents each, while 10,000 Hiccup cups would rent for about 15 cents each. That price drops if more cups are needed.
Gleeson, of Project Drawdown, sees the reusable cups as just one of many ways that innovators are looking to cut down on waste. Such solutions often have to be rooted in convenience and grounded in local or small applications to get more people to adopt them. Some cities, for instance, are experimenting with reusable food takeout containers that customers return to nearby drop-off spots later on.
While no one solution can fully tackle the problem, “The scalability is there,” Gleeson said. “I think in general, high adoption of these kinds of solutions is what is able to bring costs down and really maximize environmental benefits that you could get.”"

To be Hero X Agencies
So I've been thinking alot after Ep. 4 (for....reasons 🥲) but opened up and brought attention of somethings.
One of them being that we get to see more of other Hero Agencies, glimpses of how they operate, and what each of their "brand" is for the Hero Commission.I'd like to dedicated this post on the info that we know and my on personal theories on them.
TREEMAN
First off, we have the Treeman Group whose CEO is Mr. Shand. For their employed Hero/Villain rooster so far has featured:
Nice
Moon
Wreck
Firm Man
Blankster
Lin Ling ( new recruit )
Translated desc.- "a hero agency that makes good use of marketing to shape the hero's personality" (@tbhx_officialCN)
From what we've seen, the mangers and staff take in precaution on how their heroes are depicted on stage, their meet-ups with fans, as well as crafting a boosting narrative for their heroes trust values to grow in the eyes of the fans. They are not above bribery, coercion, and stunt casting in order to push their quota ( as seen by the actions of Miss.J )
Also from what I've seen and gathered, it seems that Treeman possibly owns much of the real estate and city development in this world cause much of their promo features a lot of residential areas and shopping districts with their brand on them.
So maybe them hiring people to play the part of villains is because they are the ones who are able to rebuild plus reshape how fans live and consume.
FOMO
Up next is FOMO, which literally stands for "Fear of Missing Out". Their CEO seems to be this young guy named Zac. Their rooster so far consists of:
Loli
Ahu
Translated desc.- "provides ordinary people with opportunities to speak out and become famous" (@tbhx_officialCN)
So from their general description they seem like the mostly are in tune with what regular people are doing, and finding out what's new and fresh.
From the look of their office space, FOMO it's the most colorful and lively of the 4 agencies. It gives off what a lot of start-up tech, social media, and web HQs like Google and Youtube.
It's possible that most, if not all, of their heroes started out as Influencers or people that became heroes through viral moments on the web. Maybe their dark side is that their heroes have to keep coming up with more new, and exciting acts or content to please their fans to keep raking in Trust Value.
It could be more possible that FOMO has the same guide lines like YouTube, Twitter, and Twitch. ( Which would be pretty bleak ^^')
MIGHTY GLORY
Third, we have Mighty Glory whose CEO is the mystery guy right here. Their rooster, as far as we know, consist of:
E-Soul
Ghostblade
Dragon Boy
Translated desc.- "The ace hero organization Mighty Glory has successfully cultivated many high-ranking heroes" (@tbhx_officialCN)
Just looking at the main heroes they have, this agency mainly focuses on acquiring heroes that have a wide-ranged of fighting and physical skills.
They also seem to have morally gray code and ethics. Some not against pummeling or killing those that they deemed "deserve it".
My theories on the CEO is that he is collects and sees their heroes how a Roman Emperor does with Gladiators. They are valued solely on their combatant attributes and merciless displays, but are kept in line behind the scenes like wild animals or slaves.
DOS
And lastly, we have DOS. I have yet to find what it the abbreviation means, but this is their CEO, Mickey. Their hero rooster, so far in the show, consists of:
Queen
Lucky Cyan
The Johnnies
Translated desc. - "DOS pursues high efficiency by acquiring a large number of small hero companies to grow stronger." (@tbhx_officialCN)
So it seems like they are the largest AND most powerful agency out of the collective 4. It has a very...Disney way of acquiring more heroes to cultivate it's company.
They have means to tap into different markets of branding for their heroes.
On one brand, you can appeal to animal lovers and sell marketable mascot plushies, and on the other, you can appeal to pop star and music fans who want to see their favorite idol to succeed.
Not to mention they hold one of the strongest powerhouses to take the title of X.
O_O!!
Disney Evil! This company is willing to obtain and cultivate their heroes so it can become the most controlling Hero IP out in the world (This CEO is Steve Jobs and Bob Iger rolled into one).
So if their was ever a chance or motive for these agencies claim to dominance. it's DOS.
So I hope you enjoyed my on-the spot, collective analysis and ramblings on the agencies so far. I'm still holding on to some other theories and little details I spot that I want to post soon (hopefully a shorter one ^^')

hii!! here to request rafe and forehead kisses. can be as wild as you wanna make it (it’s you so ofc it’s gonna be amazing 😚)
i’m a sucker for forehead kissies. and i’m in dire need of my imaginary rage rn 😫
UGH MADDI I’m such a sucker for forehead kisses I’ve been wanting to write a concept like this for quite some time and I decided to incorporate it with your req!! I hope you like it <3 I would love to know your thoughts on it xx
no one noticed
PAIRING: soft!rafe cameron x nerd!reader
SUMMARY: rafe gets to see the side of the nerd, quiet girl of his class no one has seen before.
WORD COUNT: 1.5k
WARNINGS: high school au; really soft and sweet rafe (so if ooc rafe isn’t your thing this fic isn’t for you!); really quiet and nerdy reader, top of her classes, super shy, kind of cliche; a lot of comfort :)
EDITH SPEAKS: this goes out to anyone who is being pressured so hard in life, no matter what the field, but doesn’t feel seen for their efforts. just know you’re doing your absolute best and i’m incredibly proud of you 🌟 a lot of inspiration for this fic and the dynamic is drawn from this drew bot!

The breeze blowing past Rafe is almost soothing to his otherwise heated skin in the summers, and the sun is beginning to slump down the horizon which welcomes an array of pinks, yellows and oranges in the sky.
Rafe’s fingers gently grip the railing in front of him as he looks out at the city, but his mind is solely focused on the figure standing next to him.
You and Rafe were paired for a project, and it’s an understatement to say it’s the oddest pairing. Rafe: the popular guy, knows everyone, the captain of the basketball team; all those clichés.
And you: the quiet nerd, the one who just preferred to stay away from everything overcrowded. Again, all those clichés.
So, Rafe ever so kindly invited you over to his house, Tanneyhill, to work on the project together. You did say you were okay with working in the school library after school too, but Rafe said something about that place being “too boring” and it makes him wanna “sleep each time he goes there”, so you ended up agreeing to his offer of coming over to his place.
You and Rafe have spent a few periods together working on the project, and this what he’s gathered about you so far: you don’t make any conversations unless you’re spoken to, your quiet nature makes you extremely observant, you’re highly efficient with your tasks, and you’re also super creative with your ideas.
As much as Rafe thought he’d be bored throughout the project, he’s actually enjoying working with you and getting a brief insight on how your brain works.
And is he also maybe developing the teensiest tiniest crush on you?
Maybe… but he has too much pride to actually admit it.
But even then, he catches himself looking at you often in your common classes, in the hallways, and the cafeteria where you’re usually with your best friend, otherwise alone.
“So what I’m seeing here is…” he begins to speak and you turn your gaze to him, “if I won’t speak anything to you, we’ll just be silent the entire evening?”
You feel a twinge of heat beginning to spread in your cheeks, causing you to diverge your gaze away from him. “That’s not true,” you say softly.
Rafe can’t help the gentle laugh that leaves his lips. “Well, I like it. It makes me curious to know what goes on in your head,” he says. He does often wonder what you are always thinking about, the way how it seems like you’re always deep in thought.
You stay quiet, and both of you opt to gaze out the skyline, but Rafe can’t help himself catch glimpses of you often.
“So… how are your classes?” He asks. He knows you’re in AP classes, but the real question is why wouldn’t you be? He doesn’t know anyone smarter than you.
He hears you inhale a sharp breath, your gaze now focused back on your hands on the railing. “They’re fine,” you mumble quietly.
Hm.
Your response has Rafe thinking. It doesn’t feel like something you’ve answered on the spot, but it instead felt robotic. As if it’s rehearsed.
As if whenever you’re asked this question or something similar, this is what you always say.
Or maybe he’s reading too much into this.
Still, he can’t help but feel intrigued to know more.
“Yeah? That’s good. I am like, in only two APs and I’m already getting my ass kicked in the current testing week,” he says with a small laugh. “How was your English Lit exam?”
“Hm, good,” you murmur out.
“Yeah, you’re one of the best in our class,” he says warmly. It is true, you’re a stellar student. But you’re just quiet. You barely speak up in class; only when the teacher specifically asks you for the answer. Rafe thinks most intelligent kids want to be the center of attraction, that they want everyone to know they know things the rest of the class doesn’t.
Rafe sees how you remain quiet at his words. He thought maybe you’d say a ‘thank you’ at his compliment, or maybe even a small hum or something, but you remain utterly quiet.
Now he’s sure something is different. And he is definitely feeling concerned.
“Hey, you okay?” He asks softly. “You’re quiet– I mean, you’re almost always quiet but this is… different,”
Rafe keeps a gaze at you, and watches how you just keep your gaze kept down. He braces himself for yet another automatic answer, something like “I’m fine” or anything along those lines.
“I had my AP Chemistry exam a few days ago,” you begin speaking quietly, and Rafe’s breath almost gets trapped in his chest from how quickly you obliged. Maybe something really serious is bothering you. “And I got the results back today.”
“Was it what you were expecting?” He asks, keeping his tone as gentle as possible, and trying to show you that he’s not being pushy at all. He genuinely just wants to help and lend you an ear.
“It was a 92,” comes your quiet voice.
Hmm, that’s really, really good. He thinks. But why don’t you seem happy?
“I was called by my teacher in her office,” you begin speaking before Rafe can say anything. “I thought I did good. It was a tough exam, and the topics were just as tough. To be honest, I was shocked I got over a 90. But my teacher… she wasn’t happy,”
Rafe furrows his brows at your words. “You got a 92 on a tough test. That is good. I don’t see why she wasn’t happy,”
He watches how your fingers tighten their hold onto the railing, as if it’s the only thing keeping you anchored.
You shake your head in response. “Apparently it wasn’t. Apparently it was the worst I’ve ever done. Apparently she can’t believe I did that test, when anyone could’ve gotten that grade,”
Rafe feels his heart almost break at your words, with the way your voice is quieter than ever before and how he can practically feel how your throat is closing up.
“She, and all the other teachers, they expect… so much from me. I’m studying for hours on end to impress them. I’m not sleeping enough just so I can get the grade that makes them happy,” Your voice breaks down by the end of your sentence and Rafe now knows tears are beginning to slip down your face.
“Hey…” he murmurs softly, keeping a cautious hand on your shoulder. He expects you to repel his touch, but instead, much to his relief, you don’t pull back in any way.
Rafe gives you a gentle pull and you turn to look at him. He sees tears silently flowing down your cheeks, your exhaustion evident in your eyes and on your face. He feels his heart shatter into tiny pieces at seeing you cry, and he tells himself he never wants to see you like this ever again.
Carefully, he pulls you into a hug. He wraps his arms around your figure, wanting to provide you warmth and comfort. For the first few seconds, you don’t reciprocate his actions, but after that, you wrap your arms around his torso, tight, as if this is exactly what you need.
“Shh, you’re okay…” he murmurs softly into your hair when he feels you hold onto him tight and let out sobs against his chest. “You’re doing really good yeah? Absolutely amazing.”
He leans back just a bit to press a soft kiss to your forehead. The action seems almost subconscious, as his body is acting before his mind can catch up. But you don’t seem to have any complaint, so he presses another one onto your skin near your hairline.
“You’re one of the smartest students in our grade, okay? You are taking too much pressure,” he murmurs, running a gentle hand over your back. “Those teachers should recognise your efforts more. You’re doing just fine, sweets. Just fine. You’re going to burn out at this rate. You’re allowed to step back, yeah? To take a break every once in a while. You deserve it,”
Rafe keeps on murmuring soft words of comfort to you and gives you a small forehead kiss ever so often. He feels your crying beginning to die down, but he lets you hold onto him for as long as you feel like.
After a few long moments have passed, you lean back from him and look into his eyes through your blurry ones. Rafe brings his hand up and gently wipes the years collecting in the corners of your eyes. He watches you subtly lean into his touch, so he presses his hand against your cheek, letting you nuzzle against it.
“Thank you,” your murmur, sniffling quietly.
Rafe shakes his head. “No need to say that. I’m here for you, yeah? Always.”
He leans to press another kiss to your forehead, and watches how your body begins to relax in his hold.
He’s willing to be there for you whenever you want him there. And he’s willing to do anything for you.

HPD Attachment Roles
(from the community to describe certain experiences since FP is BPD exclusive)
• Attention Person (ATP/AP): Someone whose attention feels especially meaningful, intense, or “superior.” The pwHPD may become deeply attached to them, even with minimal interaction, because their validation hits harder or fills their emotional need for attention more efficiently. Often meaning their attention is highly prioritized.
• Spotlight Person (SLP): Someone the pwHPD deems worthy of sharing their attention or “spotlight” with. This person is considered important enough to be included in the pwHPD’s social presence or performance.
• Attentive Person (ANP): A person who provides consistent attention to the pwHPD. Their attention may not be seen as superior, but it is reliable and fulfilling, helping the pwHPD maintain emotional balance.

Accounts Payable: Is Outsourcing a Better Option Than In-House Teams?
For many businesses, deciding between accounts payable outsourcing and in-house processing is a key financial decision. Both methods have their pros and cons, but when it comes to efficiency, cost, and scalability, outsourcing often takes the lead.
Let’s start with the AP process comparison. In-house processing requires a dedicated team, regular training, and constant oversight. It can be effective for small volumes, but as businesses grow, the process often becomes inefficient. On the other hand, accounts payable outsourcing provides access to experts and advanced systems that streamline operations and reduce the need for internal oversight.
One major advantage of outsourcing is cost efficiency. Maintaining an in-house AP department involves fixed expenses such as salaries, software licenses, and hardware. In contrast, outsourcing offers flexible pricing based on usage, which can lead to significant savings—especially for growing businesses.
The outsourcing benefits also include reduced risk of late payments, improved compliance, and faster invoice processing. Service providers often have robust systems in place for tracking, verifying, and paying invoices, leading to better accuracy and fewer vendor issues.
Speaking of vendor management, outsourcing partners are equipped to handle communications and disputes efficiently. They ensure vendors are paid on time, which helps maintain strong supplier relationships and may open the door to early-payment discounts.
Ultimately, for companies seeking scalability, improved performance, and long-term savings, accounts payable outsourcing is a clear winner. While in-house teams may work for some, outsourcing offers professional-grade solutions that adapt to your needs and free up resources for core business activities.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump administration plans to eliminate the IRS’ Direct File program, an electronic system for filing tax returns directly to the agency for free, according to two people familiar with the decision.
The program developed during Joe Biden’s presidency was credited by users with making tax filing easy, fast and economical. But Republican lawmakers and commercial tax preparation companies complained it was a waste of taxpayer money because free filing programs already exist, although they are hard to use.
The program had been in limbo since the start of the Trump administration as Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency have slashed their way through the federal government. Musk posted in February on his social media site, X, that he had “deleted” 18F, a government agency that worked on technology projects such as Direct File.

[I look after you.] [POTA headcanons!]

Summary: Random acts of service I think each ape would do for you!
Characters: Caesar, Noa, Koba, Maurice Rocket, Blue eyes, Lake, Cornelius, and Dar.
Warnings: Caesar and Noa's are meant to be romantic. Dar and Cornelius are platonic as well. The others could be read as platonic or romantic, though!
A/N: These are all just random thoughts I've had today. Some will be shorter than others due to just how many characters I tried to include, so bare with me!

Caesar has a sixth sense as to when you're gonna get hurt, it's uncanny.
Humans are clumsy and more fragile than others, he knows as such because of his grandfather and Will, seeing them trip and fall over nothing, stub their toe and curse, it's almost as if they didn't have spatial awareness at times.
His reflexes are faster than his words.
So he knows when you're about to slam your forehead full force into a wooden beam, immediately throwing a hand up to soften the blow.
You instinctually let out an "Ow!" Before realizing you're okay, your mates warm hand against your skin. The Chimp raises an eye bridge up at you, looking towards you and then his hand.
"Oh."

Koba doesn't do anything nice for you without the expectation that you will do something for him in return.
One thing he will do is protect you against yourself, mainly out of pure pity.
Your center of gravity is different than his, and the woods are not meant for you, so get used to Koba yanking you back from a steep drop.
He isn't gentle about it, fist curled into your jacket and roughly dragging you backward, letting out a shrill against his knowledge.
You knock against his chest, his body immediately giving off its warmth to your own.
You're too scared to look up at Koba, knowing damn well he's gonna be glaring down at you, a comment ready to go.
Unfortunately for you, he does it regardless if you meet his gaze or not.
"Should have. Let you fall." He growls, hoping you can't somehow feet his heartbeat pumping out of his chest.

Noa enjoys caring for you, making your life easier by any means necessary, whether it be by learning how to make you tools that help you fish easier, cooking your meat for you, knowing that your anatomy is different, to teaching you to the best of his ability how to hunt more efficiently.
It's his love language, not that he'd be aware of it. It makes him feel like a good mate, and that boosts his ego.
He gets so mad if you try and wave him off, scoffing at the thought of you not needing him.
What do you mean you're fine on your own? Nuh uh.
Has pouted before and got huffy if you get off of your horse without him helping you down, turning his back to you childishly as he sighs as long as possible.
I hate him.

Maurice lets you cuddle into him for warmth. His fur is longer than the others, and he runs warm. He worries for you when the winters get rough. There's only so much they can do other than set a fire up and wrap you with animal hides.
Sometimes, it's not enough, and shivering yourself to sleep isn't fun.
Maurice considers you family, being the first first ape to truly take you in, he'd never turn you away from when you need him most.
Never needing permission, you quietly make your way to the Orangutan's nest, trying your best not to step on any leaves or branches.
Gingerly taking your time to settle next to Maurice, lowering your body down.
Taking a glance at Nova resting on his other side, you don't catch his eyes peering open, a hand coming up to sign slowly.
'Come.'
Lifting a long arm, he allows you to curl into his side, finally granting you a good night's rest.

Blue eyes always makes sure you're apart of the conversation, if he and Ash are goofing around, and you're standing off to the side, he's gonna immediately poke small fun at you to get your attention.
The second he has it, he's gesturing you over to their little circle at the camp fire, asking you what humans think of whatever subject they're talking about.
Baby Blue will shove his shoulder into Ash if he tries to make fun of you, knowing well that you may not take it as friendly banter just yet.

If you're gonna be with the colony, you'll need a protector, and who else is a better, more loyal one than Rocket.
No ape is being disrespectful towards you on his watch, you're important to Caesar and while that was in fact originally the reason he made it a point to keep an eye on you, he's come to love you himself.
An Ape comes up to you, asking something wildly inappropriate?
Rocket gets up in their face, making direct eye contact and puffing out his chest for them to back the fuck off, daring them to make a move, all while making sure you're well hidden behind himself.

Lake enjoys braiding your hair for you, the different texture offering a welcome challenge compared to her own.
She's so gentle and light handed, her fingers weaving the strands to the best of her ability, fingers much too large.
It's a bonding experience between the two of you, her downtime, after working with the little ones for hours previously.

The littlest ape prince is no stranger to clinging on to you at any point in time. Even as he grows older and gets to be too heavy to sit on your lap or climb up your back, he does it anyway. Wrapping his arms around your neck and hiding his face against your skin.
He does it when looking for comfort, but also for when he's being a little shit and his dad is searching for him to chastise.
Cornelius knows that when you're near, you're gonna spoil and baby him, and that's exactly what he wants, hiding behind you.
He is observant like his father, always in tune with your emotions and knows when you need to have company so you don't stew in your own head.
Drags you off to play with the other apes, not taking no for an answer even if you try to. He pulls those puppy dog eyes and it's damn near impossible to deny him.

Taking on a motherly role for you comes with ease, Dar slipping into it once Noa vouches for you.
She makes sure to take you under her wing, teaching you their ways of life in the a view point of an elder, not just Noas.
Please don't imagine that she'd make you your own shawl, matching her own, literally don't bc I teared up.
She'd be ecstatic to see you wear it around the colony, staring at you. She's so proud of you from how far you've come.
Dar will blatantly introduce you to others as her child, no matter what another ape says. Which wouldn't be much to begin with, became who is gonna argue with her? She won't hear a word of it, waving them off.

Oliver Willis at Daily Kos:
Elon Musk traveled to Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Sunday and handed out checks to Wisconsin voters in an attempt to sway the upcoming election in favor of conservative state Supreme Court candidate Brad Schimel. Musk gave out two $1 million checks to voters during a town hall and said the outcome of the upcoming race would be “important for the future of civilization.” Musk claimed the voters were spokespeople for his political group, an attempt to work around Wisconsin laws against vote-buying. Referencing a possible case before the court that could lead to redistricting of congressional seats, Musk openly worried that a liberal majority on the court could lead to Democrats being elected who oppose his ongoing efforts to attack the federal government through his so-called Department of Government Efficiency. That’s because the state is still recovering from a vicious Republican gerrymander, and electing Schimel could jeopardize that recovery. Susan Crawford, the liberal candidate in the race, has called Musk’s efforts to buy the result of the race “immoral.” Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul, a Democrat, accused Musk of breaking anti-bribery state law and filed suit against Musk’s America PAC. The state Supreme Court declined to hear the case after it was also rejected by a county judge and the state appeals court.
[...] Musk’s brazen attempts to use his enormous fortune—he is the wealthiest person on the planet—to pervert the American electoral system has come under intense criticism. Writing about the Musk gambit in a guest column for Daily Kos, Wisconsin Democratic Party Chair Ben Wikler asked, “Are we feudal serfs of the richest man in the world, Elon Musk? Or are we free?” At the presidential level, Musk’s payoffs in service of Trump have led to the billionaire wielding enormous influence on American life, even though nobody voted him into office. DOGE has infiltrated multiple government agencies, purged thousands of employees, and has been repeatedly ruled against in court for violating laws. Despite his actions, Musk bristled at criticism, showcasing once again that the billionaire has extremely thin skin.
Elon Musk’s attempts to bribe voters ought to backfire at the polls in Wisconsin.

How do you know so many things? What do you read or how do you keep informed? Thx
I watch a couple of nightly news shows with my dad and read a few headlines on the AP news website once in a while. That’s mostly it on a day to day basis for news.
There’s also a couple issues relevant to me and my interests and hobbies like transgender healthcare or crypto scams and sometimes I go on Google and search a few key words related to that on the news tab, generally only clicking on trusted news sources and not random websites.
I also at least try to be pretty diligent about fact checking so when I see a claim on social media I usually do a quick google about it and can usually find out if it’s real pretty quickly. It’s a skill I’ve gotten pretty good at over time. I learn a lot from fact checking social media posts and YouTube videos.
The thing that actually initially taught me how to be so efficient at general fact checking is this series of videos from crash course about navigating digital information. I recommend it to people all the time. Taking a couple of hours to engage with this playlist I think is a great investment of your time because it teaches you how to efficiently engage with information in an informed way.
Also for information on certain things I study as a hobby I do in fact read books.
I’ve also learned other things by just engaging with the interests and backgrounds of people I care about. Like in recent years I’ve made a lot of friends from India. That’s made me more interested in Indian cooking and religion and politics. My brother is studying to be a software engineer and knows a lot about technology. I’ve learned a lot about digital privacy and the history of computers from him. I’ve got friends who speak Spanish and family members who speak German and in my efforts to learn their languages I’ve also learned a lot about the cultures that speak those languages. You can learn a whole lot of stuff by engaging with things that are important to the people that are close to you. And if they’ve got a similar attitude they can also learn a lot from you.
