The reason why they want you to think that is literally either: 1. they are someone who has fallen down a radical pipeline and not reflective of the greater trans population by a long shot OR 2. they are a psyop / cop / mal-intended disrupter.

There's no in between. That's how radical queer ideologies have always operated on Tumblr and it's how they will continue to operate on Tumblr probably forever.

Dumb little headcanon I’ve had rattling around:

The monkeys of Flower Fruit Mountain share the feelings of whomever their master is… which currently happens to be Sun Wukong.

What he feels, they feel. What he thinks, they think.

It’s an instinctual, ritual link between the de-facto king of the mountain and his fuzzy little subjects.

If there’s a certain way he’d like to act but restricts himself from, the monkeys acts on those instincts without refrain.

If he likes someone? They like that someone, too.

And if he really likes someone?

Well.

So. One day Wukong goes missing. Maybe heads out with a goal in mind and stays out a little longer than he expected.

It’s an inherent magic that can’t be turned off or delayed. As long as at least one person is on the mountain, the monkeys have a king.

So, without the Monkey King on Flower Fruit Mountain, there’s only one other person that responsibility can fall onto, only one person who reasonably can serve as (temporary!) ruler of the mountain.

Macaque.

Without his knowledge, he’s been given the “reins” to FFM, which now seems to bend to his whims as he pleases, showering him in convenient stretches of shade to brood and whine under, tossing peaches and bananas into his open hands, peeling pebbles from before his step with each foot forward.

But it goes a little further than even that.

Now the local little fireballs acting like the resident wet rat, pouting and kicking rocks as they grumble in their little monkey language, cowering from the sun and conversation and generally being unpleasant and annoying.

Until Sun Wukong comes back, that is.

And the transfer of power from ruler to ruler on the mountain goes a little slower than usual, and suddenly all these sullen little monkeys are flying into his arms with squealing hoots, nuzzling his cheeks, pressing little monkey kisses to his nose and ears.

After all- they feel the same way that their master does.

honestly as much as i dont like angel for a whole laundry list of reasons, i do actually find his character hella amusing sometimes. like the guy's a sopping wet paper bag with absolutely zero self-control or basic sense, even after two hundred years of living. he couldn't even kiss a sixteen-year-old girl for a few seconds without vamping out and throwing himself out the window like a common criminal. every other second of the show he's going 'but we can't!' and then he will immediately do the thing he just said he couldn't do. most of his screentime is taken up by him standing in one place looking awkward as hell - and somehow he is even standing badly. he tries so desperately hard to pull the whole romeo and juliet thing with his only two prevailing expressions because it's his only way to hook a superpowered teenager into being his 'redemption'. like alskjfdlksd. is he okay in the head. this man should not be around children. he is the most pathetic boyfailure of all time, and not even in an attractive way. but ragging on him is fun as hell it has to be said. so he's not the worst i suppose.

As we enter back into an era where technology is used primarily as a weapon against you by the United States and Russian governments, (welcome back 1980s! 😍) let’s go over some tips to consider if you are a queer, bipoc, or otherwise an “enemy from within” as trump so lovingly and hypocritically put it, to protecting your identity and privacy through the internet so that you can continue to resist this cultural shift safely and resiliently!

• stop posting identifying information on social media like your full name, place of residence, and pictures of yourself or other at risk people, and go back and delete posts in which you might’ve already.

• disable location tracking services and camera and mic access to apps, services, or websites that you know to be compromised by the influence of shady overseers, such as X, Instagram, Facebook, Google, and TikTok. I know it’s convenient to use these but it’s a MAJOR security hazard.

• Turn your phone COMPLETELY off when discussing sensitive subjects with friends or when you are making plans of resistance and gathering your communities, or when you are discussing personal feelings on such subjects with family, friends, or a doctor/therapist. Basically all mobile phones now have live mics that are constantly listening to you.

• Create a new email under a fake name if you haven’t already to use as your primary email address, in order to further protect your true identity.

• use an alternative browser like DuckDuckGo or brave in place of google, preferably with a VPN on top of it to even further secure your browsing history and to bypass potential IP blocks of websites from the government.

• if you want to watch YouTube and don’t want a recording of your watch history, log out of your account and watch that way, preferably you would just delete your account entirely but I understand why some might not want to.

• pirate content from streaming services via piracy websites, again so that your watch history can’t be used to make assumptions about you if that data were ever sold to the government.

These are obviously just some of the ways to bypass data collection and ti protect your real identity online, but there are many others I’m sure I’m not aware of. Please add to this if you can, and stay safe out there, because anything you say can and will be used against you in the future of this country. But: We have survived this kind of shit before, we can again, if we are careful. Loose lips sink ships, and that goes for the internet as well.

Damn I just wanted to say the tags on your post really hit me…almost word for word I relate to all of that and I’ve been struggling trying to find a job to keep myself sane. I had a lot of those same thoughts and especially over the pandemic and it was unhealthy and awful and I lost a friendship that meant a lot to me bc of the same feelings you express in your tags. I’ve gotten a lot better, or at least I like to think I have, but learning to live with the knowledge of how you used to be (or at least being more aware of how not to be like that), and knowing you can’t turn back time has been hard. Seeking validation and attention…oof that all just hits so terribly home.

I think a lot of people developed a very unhealthy relationship with the internet over the pandemic - thankfully I was an essential worker so my pause in employment was super brief.

It IS hard to reconcile that that was also you but at the end of the day the best you can do is acting different and making a difference in the positive direction. You can't UNDO those actions - so really...moving forward is the ONLY thing to do. & while it doesn't excuse your actions, I do believe some grace needs to be given when it is coming from an unstable place such as mental illness.

I will admit I still have a very unhealthy relationship with validation. Not just online but it is turned up to 11 due to the whole dopamine hit of comments and likes. It used to be BAD, it would make me cry if a post flopped because I felt like people didn't care. It's an INCREDIBLY tough cycle, especially for someone mentally ill, but even for someone neurotypical it's common to descend into unfathomable toxicity in hopes of getting love from internet strangers. I mean recently there was a pretty prominent Vtuber scandal that was the most HORRID behavior all for the sake of being a popular streamer.

The internet is both a place that can really abate loneliness while worsening it in other aspects.

Michael Sheen, as Nye, arguing for a social safety net and against austerity

This is the second clip I recorded because these are the exact same issues which we are still facing.

A scene that takes place in Parliament. Aneurin “Nye” Bevan, played by Michael Sheen, is speaking against austerity and advocating that the government should help people and not just large businesses. He asks all those present if they’ve ever been means tested- ever had to go through the indignities that struggling people have to to prove they need help, in order to get meager assistance, if any.
