Nightsilver [Mickey 17] scene parody

I saw the movie Mickey 17. I loved that scene so much that I had to draw it with PeterKurt. 🥵

Peter in his thirties looks at himself in ten years. He has a much more relaxed expression, a slicker look, and is in much better shape than he is. Peter in his thirties is anxious...😟

The Apocalypse pt.28

"Now we should find a place for the night," Mickey said, trudging toward the houses. "Hey, wait, are you mad?" Ian asked, jogging after him. "No." "Isn't it nice here? The air is so fresh." "Yeah, fucking fantastic." They approached a house with boarded-up windows. It looked reasonably safe. Suddenly, Ian swept Mickey off his feet and carried him bridal style. "The fuck are you doin’, asshole?" Mickey asked, shocked. But Ian grinned from ear to ear. "You're my apocalypse-husband, and I'm carrying you over the threshold!" Mickey couldn’t suppress a smile, even though all his alarm bells were ringing.

i have been working nonstop on my gallavich apocalypse au and i just wanted to share a snippet of one of my favorite scenes

“Think we could have a life here?” Ian asked, sitting down next to Mickey, his legs hanging off the roof of the house the two had claimed as their own. In his hand, he held a bottle of beer, the sides of his middle and ring finger on its neck.

“Maybe,” Mickey said, taking the beer from Ian and chuckling when the redhead began to pout. He took a swig before sighing and leaning his head on Ian’s shoulder, the boy instantly wrapping an arm around his waist. “Depends if the dead stop walking.”

Ian let out a sigh. “If I’m honest, I don’t think they will,” he admitted, leaning his head against Mickey’s. “I believe in Lip. I believe in those fuckers down in Atlanta, but it’s been what, almost a year now? If they had something, I’m sure word would have gotten to us somehow.”

“Yeah. Somehow,” Mickey said, taking another swig of the beer before carelessly throwing it down on the ground below. He watched as it fell and shattered, a small flame of satisfaction rising in his belly at the noise when it reached his ears. “I don’t think we can ever truly be safe,” he said, his chest tightening as he finally spoke the words he had wanted to say for days. The words that started playing in his head over and over again the moment Mandy turned. “As much as I want to believe in a cure, I don’t think there will be one.”

“What makes you say that?” Ian inquired.

“From a scientific standpoint, the fuckers need to be fresh, right? As you said before, the virus has been affecting the world for almost a year. It’s probably been evolving rapidly, and there’s no way to pinpoint the original strain. How are the assholes in the lab able to tell the difference between the new strains and the old ones? Hell, are any of the dead from the beginning of the outbreak still walking?”

The outbreak was sudden and swift; whole cities gone in a matter of days. Anyone who was fortunate enough to escape just ran and never looked back.

According to the desk calendar that Ian swiped from a store a few states back, they’ve been on the road for eight months. Long enough for each of them to add another year to their lifelong tally.

Today, it’s Mickey’s turn. Twenty-nine. Who would’ve thought he’d make it this far?

Ian looked through half a dozen ransacked mini-marts to find it: “The world’s last Snickers bar. Happy birthday, baby.”

It tastes like heaven.

Someone needs to make a Post-Apocalyptic book or show or something where there's religions and cults based on legally distinct parodies.

Can you imagine 4,000 years in the future, you have people worshipping Mikeus Disner, the Rat of Tales? Or Talier the Swift, goddess of songs? We all know for sure that there WILL be fans that somehow survive and push what they loved onto other survivors. Think of Sierra from Fallout, but make her 10x worse and being the leader of a Nuka cult

A cult fan base dedicated to Taylor Swift or Disney, and it shifting to an actual genuine religion sounds plausible. How many religions are there already based on real figures? How many are exaggerated tales?

This can be done with ANYTHING, too. Doesn't have to be just TS or Disney

"What do we want in a martini bar?" Mickey frowned.

"Get drunk, obviously. What else?" Ian bounced up and down like a kid in Disneyland.

"Nah," Mickey said. A sign caught his attention: ‘Oak Forest Health Center.’

"We’re supposed to check that hospital tomorrow morning to see if they have your shit."

"I wanna drink martinis, like people did back in the '50s."

"How 'bout we stay in the present first, take care of your meds, and then you can have your martinis?"

Mickey tensed up, but Ian nodded.
