I can’t get over how good shapes Izzy and Oscar make in this wee moment. And I am heartset that jester and cad have lovely cleric cuddles on the regular, they both fidget throughout - jester wiggles and tippy taps her fingers on cad and plays with his fur and hair whilst cad rubs his face against her (they definitely both nuzzle but I think she picks it up more from him) and occasionally does tight squeezes with his hands either in bunches of her clothes or just on a bit of her (like fore arm).

basically - they do stimmy cuddles. I love stimmy cuddles.

There is something truly special in seeing yourself represented. In any way.

I can still remember the first time I watched a film about a trans person. A film about a transmasc kid, specifically, and I couldn't even identify then the reason why that film hit me in the heart like a truckload of bricks, but it did.

Recently I got into a show that features an openly gay character that is written so obviously as autistic, and I grew obsessed, and still - when I realized that he and the sassy ballet dancer he gets paired with actually get to get together and kiss?! On screen?!! Even though we live on 2025, that still surprised me. Because representation of queer experiences, or any marginalized experience, is still so rare. So every single time I get to see myself represented on screen I still get that same feeling I got when I was, what, 13 and watched Tomboy at CinéFête. I felt that way when I watched the first season of Heartstopper, whilst actively experiencing the heartache of pining for somebody I then thought would never return the feeling [note on that: past me was wrong]. I felt that way watching Pride with my parents, I felt that way watching Bohemian Rhapsody, I felt that way watching Young Royals, and I saw the TV glow, and the Fraggle Rock episodes The Glow and I am Pogey. I felt that way watching Étoile.

And I don't like attaching expectations to my own storytelling, I don't like having a plan what I want my art and writing to make people feel - but if I have just one goal, or wish, or hope for my storytelling, it is to be able to evoke that same feeling in somebody. If even just one person can look at the characters I play or read something I wrote, and feel the same way I feel watching Tobias and Gabin kiss, the same way I felt hearing Caduceus Clay explain his aroace identity, the same way I felt watching I saw the TV glow -

Then I've done something right.

the mighty nein, post battle/adventure all lying in a heap, grumble stimming together

(how I am referring making groany/grummbly/humming/gentle screechy noises that feel good)

Their certainly not harmonising but it all blends together into a big achy glad noise stew as they all try to ease themselves into rest whilst feeling like even that is too tiring.

It feels good to make unflitered rumbling noises and find blissful reassurance in hearing each other all grumbling and groaning away.

They can also feel all the vibrations as they lie ontop of each other - caduceus makes the best rumbles, (jester is always vocally eager and stakes her claim but everyone else loves it too when they find a spot in the pile where they can press an ear near cads upper chest to really feel them) super low and resonant and lovely kinda rough and Caleb does a very good impersonation of a purr.

Jester does scrunchy screechy muffled squawky noises in the back of her throat and yasha does a long low tuneless hum.

Beau and fjord both do different sorts of strong huffs, beaus more in her soft pallet and fjords lower in his throat.

Veth does Burbly sort of snarls that are a bit inspired by back when she had gobliny teeth.

Essek sounds like a radar doing little quiet periodic hums.
