You're Taken Care Of: Soft Black Woman Era Series
Tumblr media
Standing in front of your house, Chromeskull caresses your sides as your arms wrap around him. You'd just made your relationship official, with him asking through the most romantic display of tulips ever displayed. Although he could have asked you through his talking keyboard, the emotion would have been lost behind the automated voice.
"How much left do you have to pay on your house?" he suddenly asked, his strong hands returning to your side to pull you close.
You weren't sure of the exact amount..although you did pay it last month. Trying to see the number pop in your head, you start to answer, "It should be around $78,-"
"$78,906. It's been taken care of. Do you own the property?"
Flabbergasted, you answered. "Uh...no, I was going to ask the owner if-"
Again he interrupts with yet another blessing in your life. "It's yours now. Tell me all the debt you have and transfer it to me. I'll take care of it, Princess."
Years- past present and future- worth of tension dissolved through the puff of air you exhaled.
You never have to pay for anything ever again.
Chrome wanted you to be soft, to live. Not to just survive.
He adored you. Wanted you as his wife. But he can't do that too quickly.
He figured this would be the perfect move to show he was husband material. Maybe you'd want to marry him quicker than usual
A man could dream. And Chromeskull only wanted to dream of you. Pampered, pretty, and in his house.
To never have to pay for anything, unless you really wanted to or you were by yourself, was extremely relaxing
Finally, the life you deserved
You'll never need for anything. Your money is yours. His money is your money.
Patrick Bateman
Tumblr media
"What are you doing?" Patrick whispers as you dig into your purse. A perplexed expression adorned your features as your hands slow to a halt. "I'm about to go pay for this dress..?"
"Why?" Patrick asks, his face upturning into faint...disgust?
"I mean, I want the dress and it needs to be-" you started. And yet, you weren't upset when he interrupted with a sentence you always wished to hear.
"You're taken care of. Put the purse away, " he softly commands. You gawk at his statement and quickly shut your purse. Patrick marches you up to the register and pays for your pink Marni jacquard dress.
You'd never have to dig into your purse for your card(s) with him. He's quite disgusted with the idea of you paying.
The yuppie was inundated with wealth, and as 'The Man', he had to take care of his lady. It wouldn't be dignified to do so, especially in front of the
other yuppies
Your outfits, skincare, and other appearance-related materials were taken care of.
He's sent you to various specialists for tailored products for you. If you ran low, another bottle would appear the next day
Although he controlled what you wore to special events, you got what you asked for—well, as long as it was stylish.
Does his skincare side by side. If he's feeling romantic, he will do your skin routine for you. His soft hands glide against your smooth skin, gently rubbing in the product as he adores you
Hannibal Lector
Tumblr media
"To us, my dear", the clink from the glasses reverberated as you both took a sip of his very fancy champagne. It was a 'gift' from a past friend of Hannibal's. A vintage, 1961 Moët & Chandon Dom Pérignon I Charles and Diana. An excellent choice to pair with tonights menu.
'Duck' Leg, Orange, Scallion, Burnt Carrot Zucchini, Romesco, Hazelnut, Truffle 'Veal' Agnolotti, Honey Nut Squash, Foie Gras, Black Truffle Toasted Rice Millefeuille, Koshihikari Rice Cream, Hazelnut Cream
"To us..." you state softly as you look at your loving husband. There was no special occasion to celebrate. The level of meal preparation was standard for Dr. Lector. Hannibal wasted no chance of celebrating your presence. You're his queen.
To pamper you was a treat.
When you were pampered, you were amazingly fluorescent. Your smile had his heart pounding. He thinks the Louvre is missing a painting when he observes you lounging in the garden.
Hannibal relaxes at the sight of you relaxing
He will do anything for his loving wife. Anything.
You had what you wanted. Hannibal gladly gives you his card when he's off somewhere else. You'll wake up to find it on the nightstand with a glass of water.

In love with a 2-D Character?! Hotarubi Edition!
Blurb: In which you are a character in a popular game the Tokyo debunker boys are coincidentally in love with.
Tumblr media
↪ Subaru Kagami
Another one on the list "does not play games".
But he does! This game in particular catches his eye because everyone has been playing it.
He does not have the idea of choosing a character at the beginning, it's too stressful and what if he likes some other characters?
He's going into this knowing it's an otome game (it's not but characters have the power to ignore it. *cough Haku cough*) and poor guy is just worried if he'll lose a route if he chooses a character.
If he's starting the story + if it has routes, he needs to see all the routes.
Chooses you because you're so...he can't put it into words. You're suspicious but you're also very comforting in a way.
Is financially responsible. Does not feel the need to gamble.
"Oh no, I didn't get the character." *2 seconds later* "It's okay, I'll get them on their rerun."
F2P throughout!!!
Apologizes when his character apologizes too, he feels so bad for them but then him and his favourite character are seen together so little, it's kind of sad :(
He wants to see more of you! But the game said no so he turns to the next best thing.
Fanfiction. Writes only for your character alone, has done numerous character studies, directed your personality, even going as far as to find tidbits your voice actors may have left for you
He's a chill player, does not worry much but does very a lot in the story if he's about to die.
No, he's not used to almost dying in every chapter.
Tumblr media
↪ Haku Kusanagi
Where do I begin...?
THIS MAN FLIRTS WITH YOU
you're a character on his screen, he's a human who flirts with you after you say your automated line.
Is a bit nsfw but he means well
Commissions? Art commissions?
He's the king of yume.
Has his own fanpage dedicated to you but no one knows it's him because yeah, how will they know?
You know those "Timely Character" accounts? Yeah, he has that.
+ another one to defend you from any haters.
SPEAKING OF SELF-SHIPPING/YUME, he has likely commissioned every artist he knows + likes the art of to draw him (not his OC) and you together.
Will also get into drawing because 1) he wants to make fanart for Subaru's fics. 2) he wants to draw you.
Merch? Babe he's the creator of merch.
You know that one Hatsume Miku deodorant being sold at a Comicon? Yeah, he's going to do that but with you instead.
Jewellery inspired after you? oh absolutely. Body pillow of you? No. Plushie he made after you? Oh hell yes.
He's a keeper, but he pulls on every character. Has insane luck + cracked builds.
Claims he doesn't know how to build anyone except you (but he does)
Tumblr media
↪ Zenji Kotodama
Can he hold a phone...? Does it go through him or isahukvas anyways!
First and foremost, he writes bloody good flowery fanfiction.
He chooses not you, but his brother's favourite character! Eventually meets you in Chapter 5?
BAWLS HIS EYES OUT AFTER KNOWING YOUR FATE
you were so young :( how could the clash cut your life short?
Is your biggest fan ever, only pulls on your banners and if he doesn't get you, he's discreetly using Darkwick's money to pull on your banner.
Don't ask me how he got the card details, he's a ghost, he can get places.
You're on his home screen and because he doesn't need sleep, he's constantly hearing your voice lines in game
Eventually, the biwa in Hotarubi was accompanied by the voice of a character.
LIKE, KEYCHAINS!!! Biggest fan of Keychains, will hold them around everywhere displaying them to the world. He's your biggest fan!!
and if someone else claims that title, he's fine with it! More people love you right!! That's all he cares for.

Epiphany chapter 2
thunderbolts X reader
Bob Reynolds x reader
okay buckle up this is a longgggg one but we'll deffo be seeing some familiar faces next chapter!
Gina found herself stood outside the avengers tower. The subway ride she just travelled had her questiong whether she should be doing this? At every stop her brain screamed at her to get off and go home. But her body persisted.
She took a big breath and looked up at the skyscraper above. Very shiny. Very new.
She remembered her first time seeing the tower, she had just turned 11 and was terrified of it. Benji used to tell her stories about what happened in 2012 when the chitari had invaded the city. He used to tease her, threatening that they were going to come back and get her if she didn't give him extra goes on their shared Wii. Obviously looking back on those memories, Gina found it hilarious that she believed his childish threats.
She allowed those thoughts to appear in her brain and slowly fade as she glanced back at the doors to the tower. She looked at the time  "11:25".
She had time.
Walking into the building she didn't know quite what to look at first.
There were workers everywhere running around keeping the busines going. Tour groups of school children being relayed from display to display. Employees talking into phones, trying to convince the person on the other side of the line whatever they were preaching was important. An automated announcement declaring tour times, opening hours and what was the latest deal in the merchandise were.
"Organised chaos" Gina reassured herself.
Or just plain chaos.
Approaching the reception desk she pulled the card out of her pocket, keeping it close to her side.
The receptionist was ferociously tapping at her keyboard. Gina cleared her throat "excuse me"
The receptionist didn't look up. She had her coily hair slicked back into a bun, her charcoal blue pansuit buttoned neatly to the top. She looked pristine and well ironed-putting the "organised" into the contrasting chaos.
Gina cleared her throat once more "excuse me?"
The receptionist glaced back up "Good morning, welcome to the avengers tower! How may I help you today?".
"I have an appointment with Director de Fontaine"
Gina The receptionist politely smiled back
"Okay could I take your name?"
Gina paused for a moment. She technically didn't have an appointment, but Valentina had told her to come back any time. She figured her name would come up in bright red flashing letter, signifying that she needed to be seen immediately.
"Gina Nicoletti"
The receptionist smiled, aggressively typing Gina's name into the system. She looked back up, "I'm sorry we have no appointment for a Gina Nicoletti"
Gina felt a relief wave over her. Maybe this was a bad idea, maybe she should just turn around and go.
"It could be under Gianna Nicoletti?" She blurted out against her brains wishes.
The receptionist went back to her computer.
"I'm afraid nothing is coming up. You are welcome to make an appointment with our help team, unfortunately director de Fontaine isn't taking appointments for the next 12 weeks"
Gina has come to learn she is easily convinced.' It is what it is" was her mantra, a way to take control of her unpredictable life.
"Maybe this is a sign" Gina thought. She glanced behind her, a qué had now formed
"I think it's time to go" her brain convinced her.
"Okay thank you!" She interrupted as the receptionist was reciting people she could make a further appointment with.
Gina turnered at her heel and made her way to her exit.
I shouldn't have come! What if someone saw me? I don't need help I can do this myself!
'What ifs?' Raced around Gina's brain.
She was getting closer to the exit .
10 steps away and she would be free.
9 steps
8 steps

"Gianna?"
"Shit." Gina turned slowly to address the figure who has spoken her name.
"It is so great to see you, I take it you've changed your mind!'
Valentina Allegra de Fontaine stood tall and proud. She wore a tailored blazer and a government style pencil skirt. She looked powerful, and although slightly shorter than  herself, Gina found herself intimidated by the director.
"I want to help." Gina admitted as she met Valentinas eyes.
"I need help"
Valentina nodded as she looked at the young woman Infront of her. She examined her, specifically how much Gina's body had changed since they first met. She was taller, ever so slightly. Her face was contoured with fatigue, her frame still the same but folded in ever so slightly, as If the young woman's worries were all pilled on her back.
"Why don't you follow me." Valentina declared as she led the girl to the elevator.
..................
"Again I'm so very sorry about your step brother" Valentina SAID
"A horrible accident, just horrible" she emoted placing down the tea pot.
Gina sat in the soft padded chair. As if she was a child being sent to the principals office.
"Thank you" was all Gina seemed to get out. "It's fine really"
It wasn't fine Gina screamed in her head. It just wasn't particularly why she has found herself in Valentinas office.
Valentina took her place on the throne that was her office desk "so Gina. How are the suppressants working for you?"
"They're fine I guess" Gina stated as she picked up the tea Valentina had laid out.
"Any side affects? Nausea? Fatigue? Val integrated "Clearly not death as you're sat here! Looking as dandy as a daisy!" She laughed grasping her hands together.
Gina pursed her lips "I feel okay, they just keep me awake. Like I've drank a gallon of coffee at every meal"
"And the issue Gina? No more-well - you know what I mean."
Gina paused. The concoction that Val's team had created for her was supposed to suppress something inside her. Something bad. Dangerous. Something that she couldn't control.
"That's actually why I wanted to see you" Gina looked up from her tea.
"I dont want to hide it anymore-like you said."  Gina began.
"I want to be able to control it. Help find others like me, who have these... Mutations."
Val grinned, rising from her office throne.
"I am so happy you've come to your senses"
Val had taken her to the 10th floor, a floor not advertised on the neverending tour announcement.
As they stepped off the lift a pungent smell encased them. Sterile. Clean. It reminded Gina of the long, tiring hospital visit she endured as a child.
"So we can take two routes to harness your brilliance" Val stated as she lead Gina through her laboratory.
Gina studied the vials and bottles all lined up of shelves.
"We can admit you to an in-house stay or you can come it bi-weekly however.."she explained as they reached the last room of the floor.
"The latter is more lengthy than the former. Now it is up to you but I do think the quicker-"
"I can stay" Gina decided.
Val smiled "I'm so happy we've come to that agreement"
The room was spacious but small. A small bed facing the window, with a sink and toilet hidden by a door. The blinds, closed at this point, were painting the light a warm yellow hue. It reminded Gina of home.
Val turned back to the door,"Okay I'll let you make yourself comfortable. Well run a series of tests first thing this evening. I have some business things that I need to attend to, I'll have Mel send over some initial documents, you know standard medical things, nothing crazy"
Gina looked back from the window "Wait."
Val forcing a smile, reversed her moves. Opening the door.
"I want to go home and let my dad know- I'll tell him something, something that won't make him worry too much?"
Val paused, for a moment Gina thought she'd say no, and that shed lock the door and through away the key.
"Sure thing" Val said glancing at her watch "I'll get Mel to send a car. We'll let you know when it's ready."
And with that she closed the door. Leaving Gina alone, once more.
OKAYYY LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUY'S THINK
I'm so excited for chapter 3 we're finally gonna see some familiar faces x

Better Not to Know + Pt. 2

KYLE GAZ GARRICK x FEM READER

Summary: It's been months, but you've not been able to forget the stranger you hooked up with in a night club bathroom. Then again, it hard to forget someone who left such a lasting impression.
Warnings/Tags: no serious warnings, mild profanity, no smut this round, no use of Y/N
(Notes: This one wouldn't leave me alone either, so here's a second installment. Bit of a cliffhanger at the end. Yeah, I'm a literary sadist.)

March comes in a like a lion, the wind and rain making it a misery to step foot out-of-doors. Small wonder that your boss decides to send you to pick up his dry cleaning for him instead of doing it himself. Why risk ruining his tailored suits and Italian shoes, when he could just send you, who bought your clothes off the clearance rack?
Umbrella clutched in your fist, you hurry along the sidewalk, dodging puddles and people as you make your way to the dry cleaners. You're relieved to see there's not a line, counting your blessings as you step through the door. An automated chime announces your arrival— bing-bong.
"Hullo. Can I help you?" A young woman with colorful tats sleeving her arms and teal hair gives you a customer service smile from behind the counter.
You pull the ticket from the pocket of your raincoat and slide it over with a tight smile. "Just a pick-up."
The young woman picks up the slip of paper, heavily lined eyes scanning the ticket before flickering over your damp, bedraggled form. "Be just a tick, luv," she murmurs, disappearing through a curtained doorway.
With nothing better to do, you drift over to a display of travel-size stain remover sticks, not bothering to turn around when the door opens, a gust of wind fluttering the hem of your coat. The automated chime sounds, drawing Tattoo Girl out of the back with what you assume is your boss' dry cleaning held aloft in one hand.
"Well, hullo, handsome!" she greets her new customer with a wide, toothy smile. "Got your uniform ready. Just need to take care of this lady first."
You don't look back to see who she's addressing, all your attention focused on fishing your boss' credit card out of your pocket. You do absently notice that the new customer smells nice. You catch notes of sandalwood and pine, a hint of musk, definitely masculine and strangely familiar. You also don't fail to notice how Tattoo Girl keeps glancing over your shoulder as she rings you up, the remnants of her wide smile still lingering.
"Here you go," she says, handing over the dry-cleaning bag and receipt, her eyes already focused on her more desirable customer.
"Thanks," you mutter, drawing the bag over the counter and draping it over your arm. Pulling the sides of your coat together, you turn, curious eyes flicking up to catch a glimpse of the man who has so distracted the pretty cashier, then almost trip over your own feet as you stumble to a halt.
"No bloody way," you breathe in a shocked whisper, staring up at the face that's been haunting you for the last five months.
His eyes widen at the same time yours do, recognition clear in his expression. "Christ, I don't believe it," he mutters, a mystified smile curving his sensuous lips. "It's really you."
You feel the same way. You can't believe it's really him, the gorgeous bloke from the club, Mr. Tall, Dark and Dangerous himself. "Um— wow. H-Hi."
His soft brown eyes register surprise but also pleasure as they lock with yours and his mega-watt smile appears. "Long time, no see, pet. How ya been?"
You gaze up at him dumbfounded, shaken all the way down to your sensible shoes. It's really him. Holy shit! "I, uh... I'm g-good. And you?" Christ! When did you develop a stammer?
He steps closer, his smile turning into something softer and intimate. "Been doin' alright." His eyes dart over your face, taking you in as if he still can't believe you're real. "This is bloody mad, innit? You wouldn't believe how many times I've..." He lets his words trail off, shaking away his dazed expression. "Ah, never mind. 'M just beyond chuffed to see ya again, pet. You look— lovely."
At least he's pleased to see me again, you think. That's a good sign, isn't it? You adjust the dry-cleaning bag in front of you, suddenly feeling self-conscious.
Tattoo Girl clears her throat, drawing your attention back to the counter. You glance over to see a perturbed little frown on her face, her eyes bouncing back and forth between you and the gorgeous man standing by your side.
"Oh! Sorry," you apologize, stepping away from the counter. You glance back up at him, feeling flustered and more than a little overwhelmed. Gripping the dry-cleaning bag closer to your body, you ignore the fact that you're probably wrinkling your boss' clothes.
"Ha. Making a right nuisance of myself, aren't I?" you murmur with a nervous titter. "It was, um, nice seeing you again, uh..." You give him a sheepish little grin, feeling terribly awkward and thoroughly embarrassed. "I-I'm so sorry. I don't think I ever got your, uh... name." God, how embarrassing...
He shuffles his feet and grins, looking a bit sheepish himself. "It's, uh, it's Kyle," he answers in a soft voice, holding out his hand. "Kyle Garrick." He dips his chin down to meet your eyes, giving you a teasing little smirk. "I don't think I got your name, either."
Taking his hand, you utter your name with a dazed expression as his touch sends warm tingles of awareness shooting up your arm. Neither one of you let go until the Tattoo Girl clears her throat again and sniffs in irritation.
Kyle's brows tick together in mild irritation as he shoots a quick look in her direction, then flicks his gaze back to you. "Would ya mind waiting while I take care of this? It'll just take a moment," he says, sounding anxious. "I'd really like to catch up with ya, maybe buy ya lunch or a coffee?"
Your head bobs in eager agreement. "Yeah, sure. I've got time."
Honestly, you didn't, but to hell with your boss. This is far more important to you.
Stepping out of the way, you wait by the door for him, your mind racing. As you stare at his broad back, your teeth worry at your bottom lip, wondering what he will have to say, then fret over what you're going to say to him. Is he just hoping to hook up again or does his interest go deeper than that? The way he's acting, it seems like it's more than that, but who knows? It's not like you really know him that well. Or at all, really. Jesus, this is nerve-wracking...
By the time Kyle has paid for his dry cleaning and is turning around, you have worked yourself up into a jittery mess. His smile dims as he takes in your nervous expression, concern plain on his face.
"Ya alright, pet?" he asks, stepping close to grasp your elbow. "You look like you're about to be sick."
Shaking your head, you offer him a weak smile. "No, no, I'm fine. I just feel a bit peckish," you lie, not wanting to make a scene. You can see Tattoo Girl staring daggers at the two of you, a petulant frown on her face. "Could we go ahead and get that coffee now? I think I need to sit down."
"Yeah, of course, love," Kyle murmurs, caressing your arm with a worried look. "C'mon, let's go."
He takes your umbrella from your numb fingers and opens the door, holding it for you as he snaps the brolly open over his head. Lifting his arm, he lays it across your shoulders, pulling you into his side as he shifts the umbrella to shield you both from the rain. Casting another worried glance down at you, he leads you to a nearby sandwich shop and quickly ushers you inside.
"Here we go," he murmurs, guiding you over to a table. He takes the dry-cleaning bag from you and drapes it over the back of a chair with his own. "Here, love. Let me take your coat," he offers as he steps behind you, and you're so flustered that you let him slip the coat from your shoulders before realizing your mistake. Quaking in your shoes, you turn to face him.
Kyle stands frozen, his mouth open to say something, his eyes now riveted on your waistline. You glance down as well then stare up into his shocked face, your hands going to your stomach to splay over the gentle swell of your baby bump.
A pained grimace twists your features as you whisper in a shaky voice, "I suppose I should explain."

"BEEP!" The ship's detection alarm woke her up but she kept her eyes closed and didn't move from her nap spot in the cockpit. She figured when the robotic woman's voice kicked in it would simply point out a meteor in the path and that the auto-pilot would re-direct. "Wreck detected. Scanning ship." Well, that wasn't how that was supposed to go. She opened her eyes and looked to the screens that displayed the exterior surroundings. On the screen that displayed what was to the east of her, there was a Pony Express delivery ship. "Hahh, Pony Express? There should only be one ship out since they went out of business." She walked over to the cabinets and took out the search and rescue binder than listed all of the ships that would be active during the year of her trip and when they were estimated to arrive at their destination. "Identification found. V-I-N Number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Analyzing damage." (i certainly dont know enough abt vins to make one up and i couldnt find if the pony express ship has one)
She flipped to the page that would have that VIN if it was in service that year and confirmed it was the only active Pony Express ship. "External damage: seventy-six percent. Survivability chance: thirteen percent."
She laughed internally. "No way any one on that ship survived knowing Pony Express. Might as well check anyway." She shrugged and sat back at the seat, turning the auto-pilot off and setting it to dock at the Pony Express ship's boarding door. The auto-pilot kicked back in with the ship's new instructions. After a moment of calculations, the ship began slow movements to dock.
She left the cockpit to put on her suit in case the inside of the ship wasn't safe to breathe. Or, considering it was a Pony Express ship, it could not be safe to touch.
"Docking success. Making connection."
The intercom voice sounded through the ship just as she put on her helmet. She made her way to the boarding door and checked over herself to make sure she was set while she waited for the bridge to finish connecting. "Connected." The doors to the bridge opened and she stepped out onto it. She waited for the door back to her ship to close to prevent any possible contamination before approaching the Pony Express ship.
"A code?! I have to input a fucking code to get in? They really were setting their workers up for failure." She scoffed. "No wonder they went out of business, if it weren't for the automation of large deliveries, it would've been the lawsuits that continue to increase even after they went out of business."
She took her pocket sized toolkit out and fumbled with it before getting frustrated and taking her gloves off. She messed around with the code input section until it the screen come off and she could get to the innerworkings. From there, it was more fumbling, tinkering, and swearing at the complexities. When the doors finally slid open, she let out a sigh of relief and prayed there was something worth her time inside. Whether it was people or valuables, she didn't care much.
She walked through the halls, taking note of the many mouthwash bottles and the foam. It was a good idea in concept, but Pony Express' execution and need to cut corners made it do more harm than good. She picked up one of the empty bottles of mouthwash and looked over it, taking quick note of the nutrition label.
"Jesus- that amount of sugar would kill an old victorian child. This isn't cleaning anything!" She tossed the bottle behind her and kept walking.
Most hallways and doors seemed to be completely foamed over or locked shut. She figured she could do a quick look over the easy access places before trying to get into any of those. As she got closer to what was labelled as the living area on blueprints she had seen, she heard hushed noises. She couldn't tell if they were people talking or random noises from the ship. When she entered the living area and looked in, she immediately noticed the three living people sitting together and they noticed her.
"Holy sh- I didn't expect there to be anyone alive in here!" She said in shock.
"We're saved!" A boy with light hair and dark roots shouted as he ran to her and hugged her.
"Daisuke! You can't just grab random people like that." An older, scruffier looking man yelled at him. "Sorry..." He said with a sheepish grin and let go of her.
There was footsteps behind her and she turned around to see a man who looked like the one listed for the Pony Express ship's co-captain on her documents.
"Who are you?" The presumed co-captain asked her in an accusatory tone.
"I am Captain Arabella and I work with the No Boundaries Search and Rescue team. I was on patrol and your ship appeared on my radar. The company provided documents lead me to believe you are the co-captain Jimmy?" Arabella held out her hand for a handshake.
"I'm the acting captain currently. Curly is in no position to lead." Jimmy told her matter-of-factly as he shook her hand.
He had a firm grip but it still seemed off. Certainly felt like someone who had the makings to be a captain but something made her feel like he wasn't a good one. She couldn't help but wipe her hand on her suit after he let go and she couldn't tell if it was from phantom dirtiness or actual dirtiness. "Well, you all can board my ship and I can redirect to the nearest planet. I'll notify the landing crew and they'll have medics ready to look at everyone by the time we land." She tries to give them a reassuring smile but the weight of the co-captain's eyes on her made her uneasy. "We really are saved!" The boy from earlier, Daisuke, pumped his arm in the air triumphantly.
thats all for now folks

Good girls. A venomous smile is framed by crimson red lips, the television in her suite displaying the start of the game and calls all players to the lobby, automated voice loudly announcing the request from all speaker sources. The Beach has become the game venue for Ten of Hearts, the final out of the 40 that have been played and won. How fast time could fly when you were having fun~ Mira had almost forgotten. It’s bittersweet to think things might come to an end, but music to Mira’s ears hearing the panic ensue just outside her window, the mad chaos brimming beneath the surface as players rush to get to the lobby and obtain their precious devices that’ll give them answers.
Her phone is collected, and confusion bubbles through the crowd over Momoka’s death… name of the game and rules declared so swift and matter-of-fact it’s left her puppets stunned. Arguments begin, finger pointing as fast as she’s calculated, and soon the Militants are using the Witch Hunt as an excuse to kill every person at The Beach.
Tumblr media
With a place to watch the lobby chaos continue below, a voice calls out to her, naturally low and honeyed, and Mira’s disappointed he’s not already dead, somewhat banking on Niragi to do the job for them all. Too smart for his own good, and a problem from the start, protected by Hatter as one of his top players, Diamond minds as valued as the real things back in the real world. And quiet, lurking in the shadows but hidden in plain sight, bright white hoodie a beacon to catch eyes like moth to flame. Mira schools an expression of worry and concern. “Fun? In all of this chaos? They’re killing each other without blinking an eye! If we don't win, we won't get the last card... and that ruins our chances of going home.” A faux stretch of horror takes over Mira’s doll-like features next. “Are you having fun, Chishiya…? Is this the sort of game you find entertaining?” She could kill him too, make it look like an accident, throw him over the banister and watch his head go deadweight first and catch his fall. But that’s not how she plays. Besides… if he survives, he’s also, unfortunately, a prime candidate for her.

Pay Traffic Ticket Online in California
Traffic violations are a common occurrence for drivers in California, and receiving a ticket can be stressful. Fortunately, the state offers a convenient online system to pay fines, check violations, and even contest citations without visiting a court in person. Understanding how to navigate this process can save time, reduce hassle, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Understanding Traffic Tickets in California
California issues traffic tickets for various violations, including speeding, running red lights, illegal turns, and failure to yield. Each ticket includes details such as the violation code, fine amount, due date, and court information. Tickets are categorized as infractions (minor violations), misdemeanors (serious offenses like reckless driving), or felonies (e.g., hit-and-run). Most traffic tickets fall under infractions, which can typically be resolved online.
Eligibility for Online Payment
Not all traffic tickets qualify for online payment. Eligibility depends on factors such as: - Violation Type: Minor infractions are usually payable online, while misdemeanors or felonies require a court appearance. - Court Jurisdiction: Some counties may not support online payments for certain violations. - Contesting the Ticket: If you plan to dispute the citation, you may need to appear in court or submit documentation online.
To confirm eligibility, check the ticket or visit the court’s website listed on the citation.
Steps to Pay a Traffic Ticket Online
1. Locate Your Ticket Information Before paying, gather the following details from your ticket: - Citation number - Driver’s license number - Vehicle license plate number - Court name and address
2. Visit the Official Court Website California’s Judicial Branch provides a centralized portal (www.courts.ca.gov) to access county-specific payment systems. Alternatively, search for your county’s traffic court website using the information on the ticket.
3. Enter Required Details Input the citation number, driver’s license number, or other requested information to retrieve your case. Verify that the violation details match your ticket.
4. Review Fine and Fees The system will display the total amount due, including base fines, penalties, and assessments. Some counties offer reduced fines for early payment or financial hardship programs.
5. Select Payment Method Most courts accept: - Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) - Electronic checks (bank account transfers) - Payment plans (if eligible)
Note that processing fees (2–3% for credit cards) may apply.
6. Confirm Payment After submitting payment, save or print the receipt for your records. The court typically updates the system within 24–48 hours.
Alternative Options to Pay a Traffic Ticket
If online payment isn’t available or preferred, consider these methods: - By Mail: Send a check or money order to the court address listed on the ticket. Include the citation number on the payment. - In Person: Visit the courthouse during business hours to pay at the clerk’s office. - By Phone: Some courts accept payments via automated phone systems.
Consequences of Not Paying a Traffic Ticket
Failing to pay or resolve a ticket by the due date can result in: - Additional penalties and late fees (up to 300% of the original fine). - A hold on vehicle registration or driver’s license suspension. - A warrant for your arrest in extreme cases. - Negative impacts on your driving record and insurance rates.
Requesting an Extension or Payment Plan
If you cannot pay the full amount, contact the court before the due date to request: - Deadline Extension: Some courts grant 30–60 day extensions. - Payment Plan: Split the fine into monthly installments (may require a down payment). - Community Service: Perform volunteer work in lieu of payment (subject to court approval).
Traffic School and Dismissal Options
Attending traffic school (if eligible) can prevent points from appearing on your driving record. To qualify: - The violation must be a minor infraction. - You must not have attended traffic school in the last 18 months. - You must pay the fine and an additional school fee (typically $50–$100).
Check the court’s website for approved online or in-person schools.
Contesting a Traffic Ticket Online
If you believe the ticket was issued unfairly, you may contest it by: 1. Pleading Not Guilty: Submit a written declaration or request a court trial. 2. Providing Evidence: Upload documents (photos, witness statements) supporting your case. 3. Awaiting a Decision: The judge will review your submission and notify you of the verdict.
If found not guilty, the fine is waived. If found guilty, you must pay the penalty.
Common Questions About Paying Traffic Tickets Online
Can I pay a ticket online if I lost the citation? Yes. Use the court’s online search tool or contact the traffic clerk with your driver’s license number to retrieve the citation details.
Will paying the ticket admit guilt? Yes. Payment is considered a guilty plea, and the violation will appear on your driving record unless you attend traffic school.
How long do I have to pay a traffic ticket? The due date is typically 30 days from the issue date. Late payments incur penalties.
Can I pay someone else’s ticket online? Yes, if you have their citation number and court details.
Conclusion
Paying a traffic ticket online in California is a straightforward process that saves time and avoids unnecessary court visits. By understanding eligibility requirements, payment methods, and alternative options like traffic school or payment plans, drivers can efficiently resolve citations and minimize long-term consequences. Always verify your ticket details and court policies to ensure compliance with state laws.

Just A Fling: Invite
Written for the Peyton / Dany "Just A Fling"-AU. Peyton belongs to @wildfaewhump.
References this and this.
[Just A Fling Masterlist]
Content warnings: implied past assault (partly within a relationship), gaslighting, victim blaming; Peyton is an asshole.
The invitation card Dany can't stop staring at is settled right on top of a stack of other mail.
Business correspondence, all of that, she's sifted through it already; a signed copy of their collaboration agreement with a major freight airline, offerings from consultancies, the preprint of the upcoming issue of a logistics magazine featuring her in its cover story about their new automated container terminal. All items that should demand her attention.
All items that have ceased to exist in the instant she pulled the card from it's heavy white envelope, and all she can feel is dread pooling in her stomach.
It's a carefully designed layout, maritime imagery, golden letters in an elegant yet fancy font, all set around a photo of Peyton Montgomery looking casually stunning.
Just like Peyton had looked casually stunning leaning in the doorway of his house the last time she'd seen him, when he had shrugged and rolled his eyes at her and told her nothing she remembered was real. I think you need to take some time to figure yourself out, he'd said, and closed the door.
She hasn't even managed to get herself to hate him.
If anything, she hates herself. For accepting her defeaf, for allowing him, them, to be in control. Control of the narrative. Control of her.
It takes all of her effort to reach out for the card. It trembles slightly in her hand, as she turns it around to read its back.
The details are printed in golden letters. Party of the year. Peyton Montgomery's 30th birthday. His yacht, Davenport Marina. Next month.
It's not even a clerical error that she's receive one, not his office sending out a bunch of impersonal invites to an anonymous mailing list. No. It's personal. Dany, is handwritten on top of the card with an undoubtedly expensive fountain pen, and it makes her stomach turn how easily she recognises Peyton's handwriting from dozens of notes he's sneaked into her pockets during the few months of their affair.
Dany,. Nothing else.
It's a punch in the gut.
As if nothing happened.
No. As if what happened didn't matter.
The number next to the RSVP isn't his. She knows it from one glance, easily, because she knows too horribly much about that man.
Before she can think it through, she hits call on her phone, and his intitals light up on the display, over a photo of his hand holding a drink. Just a guy with no face. Just a casual fling. That's what they were always supposed to be. Not more.
Not less.
"Dany," Peyton answers, almost cheerfully. Dany. Just like on the fucking card. Just like she hears his voice say in her nightmares.
"What the actual fuck, Peyton?"
She hears someone talk in the background, and his voice muffled when he replies something, about wine coolers and ice cubes and tables, before he's back with her.
"Sorry, Party stuff. Event planner keeping me on my toes. You know how it is. So, what's up? Did you get the invite?"
She focuses on her hands, forces herself to stay steady. "Peyton," she presses through clenched teeth. "Are you even fucking aware of what happened at the last party we went to together? Hint, that was the one where you let your best friend spike my drink so that the two of you could have your way with me, and I wouldn't even remember."
His tone sounds like he's rolling his eyes. "Please, that didn't happen. Don't come if you're going to be a bad sport, but i thought you'd be over that ridiculous story by now, c'mon."
"Oh yeah?" Dany's fingers clench the phone, while she tries to control her breathing. To let the anger win, not whatever else it is she's feeling. "Pretty sure even Geoff remembers that different from you. Or Valerian. They - I -" She closes her eyes, trying to ban the images from her memory. Tears are stinging in the corners of her eyes. "That night," she starts again, "the two of you shattered me to fucking pieces. Nothing, nothing's been the same. I can't sleep. I can't feel safe. You took that from me. And now you expect me to rsvp to your fucking birthday party?"
The other end of the line goes quiet, the event planner shooed away.
"Fine." Peyton's voice is chilling, suddenly. "Consider your invitation rescinded. And I'll let my security know, so please don't show up and cause a scene. I really thought you'd be more mature about this, Dany. We had fun that night. You got drunk and high and scared yourself, and you've been on a crusade to blame me ever since. Don't call me again."
"Fuck you," she hisses. "I've kept fucking quiet about this everywhere, Peyton, because Geoff and you made sure your fucking lies are airtight. A crusade? That's the fucking opposite of this."
"You're lucky you're so fuckable," he sneers. "Because I certainly wasn't seeing you for your personality. Goodbye, Dany. You'll hear from my lawyers if you try to contact me again."
Dany stares at the phone for minutes, after he disconnected.
Slowly, there's something icy settling inside her and she allows it to grow; a cold rage gathering under her skin, a barrier settling over the dread and heartbreak and self loathing.
She's going to call her own lawyers, too.
But before that, she's going to make another call.
Her gaze flicks to the birthday card again. His yacht. Peyton's fucking proud of that thing, as proud as he is of his mind blowing parties.
She won't ever go on a crusade against him publicly, they both know that.
But there's one thing he doesn't know.
Her company doesn't just own commercial harbours.
She presses the button that connects her to her assistant. "I need to talk to the head of operations of Davenport Marina. About an event next month. The matter is confidential."
She'll never get back what Peyton took from her that night. He's won. But at least, he's given her opportunity to take something of his, something that signifies more to him than she ever did.
It's petty, it's small, it's beneath her; but at least it's something she can do.
She's going to take his party.

The Five of Spades. Tag with a twist. Get caught by the tagger and you were dead. Fail to disable the bomb rigged to explode before the timer was up and you were also dead.
The rules were so plain and simple that even a complete imbecile would understand them. And although not an avid Spades player himself given his lack of psychical strength and refusal to carry out a task in anything other than a leisurely manner, Chishiya figured that this one particular game could be somewhat worthwhile attending if not for some good entertainment. Spades games were always the most brutal out of the four suits, deaths wracking up sky high from the moment the automated voice announced ‘Game Start.’ Diamond games were more his forte given the genius he was. Still, it was too late to back out now, already registered and locked in. Did he regret his decision to join? Absolutely not. Anyone who knew Chishiya knew how much he revelled in the chaos and bloodshed. And this? This was almost certainly going to be a good one.
Not everyone was as enthusiastic as him though, apparently. Cat-like eyes searched the sea of other players, all of which wore the same anxious expression as they nervously awaited for the reading of the rules to finish and the countdown to begin. Stoic to the core, his own expression displayed one of nonchalance. Perhaps it was the fact that he had little to no self preservation or fear of dying.. but the blond just couldn’t find it in himself to care about what was coming.
However, there was a slight shift in expression when his gaze landed upon a familiar face who’d tagged along with him from the beach— no doubt requested by Hatter to chaperone him throughout and keep a close eye on him in case he got the sudden urge to steal the card at the end of the game. With a lazy smirk tugging at the corners of already naturally upturned lips, Chishiya slouched back against the wall to regard the taller being with a condescending once over from underneath the shadow of his hood.. almost as if he were judging them.
“..Feeling as psychically inept as you look? If so, I’d highly suggest throwing yourself of this here balcony before you embarrass yourself in the game.” Spoken in monotone, Chishiya made a point of jutting his chin toward said balcony as if daring them to actually do it. “I won’t stop you.”

Mobil - Attleboro, Massachusetts.
It was a warm night driving back to Massachusetts from Providence. The familiar orange light on my dashboard had turned on while still within the Creative Capital's city limits. Most of the gas stations I drove past on the way to this one were unbranded, meaning that there was no guarantee of fuel that meets the standards of Top Tier certification. Prices were also not spectacular, particularly for the no-name locations, which are usually at least cheaper than Top Tier counterparts. Determined and certain that there were better fueling points out there, I consulted a mostly trusted price finder application, which as predicted displayed this Mobil as having the same price per gallon as most of the other locations - $3.40, rounded up from the vestigial price ending in nine tenths of a penny. There would be no issue relocating either, as the dash light comes on when there are still around three reserve gallons of gasoline left in the tank.
I arrived as the sole patron of the business. Submitting myself to surveillance capitalism, I inserted my ExxonMobil Rewards Plus card into the reader, earning 42 points for my purchase of 13 and a half gallons of regular unleaded gas at the end of the transaction. Afterward, I accidentally hit the capacitive button that answered "no" to the question of whether I wanted a receipt. Since I was taking it slow that evening, I went inside and asked the kind cashier for a copy of the consumer ephemera, who confirmed the amount, handed me the document, and wished me a pleasant day, even though it was not day. As I exited the convenience store, I held the door open for a fellow nighttime patron, whom I can only imagine was similarly pleased at the positive difference across the state line between the fuel markets, especially seeing as his SUV sported Rhode Island license plates.
The photo above was taken while I was fueling, in an attempt to capture the quiet peacefulness of this essential business, most pronounced at night when it is one of few places in operation. At most Massachusetts gas stations, one can lock the gas pump handle in place while fueling, freeing up both of the driver's hands, although the legal code displayed on all pumps throughout the state prohibits leaving the nozzle unattended. As such, I was able to properly frame the scene, following the rule of thirds in order to keep the boxy car wash building in the lower left ninth of the picture. I was also able to adjust the exposure, minimizing light bleed from the overlit canopy, while still revealing the source of brightness for the artificially illuminated parcel, visible in the shadow cast on the first letter of the Car Wash sign. The tunnel itself harkens to a time before refinement culture, when an automated and unmanned wash was sufficient for most vehicles, instead of the increasingly experiential, subscription-based business model catering to those who want the ultimate car wash experience, whatever that means. Given the trend away from these types of washes, and my incomplete curiosity, the tunnel may or may not be closed - the boarded menu hints that it is - as has been the case at other Mobils. The tall sign behind it, signaling to highway passersby the presence of the station, stands humbly among coniferous trees, its northernmost neon burnt out. The iconic red pegasus, largely retired from present-day marketing, is still prancing on the side of the cookie cutter Mobil Mart.

blog reintroduction
the last time i used this account was when i was still a teenager. didn't feel like deleting and remaking on this handle though so uh. hey, i'm robin. i'm a married butch lesbian in mn. mostly logging back in so i can archive stuff on here where other people can see if they want
stuff i might post abt (under the cut)
managing physical/mental disability (my wife and i both have eds)
being broke and maintaining sanity/quality of life
it stuff. i have a cluster of servers at home running a lot of stuff to automate life. some stuff replaces subscriptions but i also do some budget smarthome stuff to make our living situation a little more accessible. i've also dabbled in backing up my personal healthcare record
more generally, extending the lifespan of (sometimes much older) tech & bending it to your will
some interests, though i tend to stay out of fandoms: trigun, dunmeshi, pokemon, ffxiv, persona series (but i dont touch that fandom with a ten foot pole) and a few others im sure i cant think of rn
also, feel free to send me asks about random tech things. i'll post some of my stuff later, but a quick rundown of my daily stuff
JUST replaced my phone. i only got my head out of the apple brainrot very recently, but my phone is a refurb'd note20 ultra that i intend to use for a very long time
desktop i built on the cheap. i5 (dont buy intel new, theyre zionists), intel arc graphics for video encoding
working on moving from a 2018-ish macbook air that's somehow barely runing to a 2010 thinkpad i salvaged from an ewaste bin. it's running pretty well on arch with a cheap SSD but it needs a new battery and a better display (and a modern wifi card eventually)
my server cluster that i've built over the last 10 years or so:
the manager computer is a 2017 imac i cut open to put more ram in. it was my primary computer until this year
2 raspberry pis that the manager dishes out tasks to. one is hooked up to an 8tb hard drive that it serves to the other 2 computers. the other has a zigbee receiver to handle cheap smarthome devices
3rd raspberry pi dedicated to networking. outside of the cluster, hosts a vpn so i can get into my stuff from anywhere without exposing it to the internet
salvaged two acer EEE laptops that i really want to convert into parts of the cluster bc i'm running out of cpu. they didn't come with power supplies and i have yet to get them to turn on
part of my goal for being active on here is to put some accessible resources on home servers out there. bc imo theyre insanely useful and learning how to do this stuff in general is good in the age of technological walled gardens
ok bye. follow me if you want ig, send me asks abt it stuff and i'll probably have something to say
