Because I am a complete mess of a person, I forgot to put a few on my original list, so good news for the person who suggested Wizard from Stardew Valley a bit late: Because of my stupidity, he is now on the bracket!

We have a total of 104 contestants! This will be a standard single-elimination tournament. Match-ups were completely randomized, although for the first round I did not allow match-ups between two characters from the same franchise.

Looking for thoughts on Andromeda character stuff

SO I have been thinking a lot about my characters lately. AND I will be talking about two characters in particular. so first and fore most about AUGGLES, I debated for a really long time, really hard about bringing Aug to Andromeda, mainly because I have a bunch of AU's and other random pics with him, but I never actually decided on a canon verse for him. Well after talking with some friends I have decided for Aug cause his story doesn't really feel complete. SO this is CANON from here on, I'm keeping his written and unwritten parts of his backstory and all other verses with him are crack/AU and would like y'alls thoughts and imput. Augus was the middle child and had his meh childhood, his dad screwed up his career some (Aug didn’t become an officer when he should have) Aug's first real boyfriend was when he was 19, he and Caal (c) feranta on FA dated for a couple years and Aug loved him. But they end up splitting up because they get transferred to different places and couldn't make long distance work. Aug was heartbroken about it and it's why he tried so much harder and made things work with long distance with Terius. @happenstance-tragedy And they had a good life together even with dealing with stupid family drama. The time they spent together was so passionate and real. They had their daughter and in the blink of an eye, they were taken from him. Aug was of course DEVASTATED; his family and friends turn their backs on him. Terius' family who Aug considered more family then his own, all blamed Aug for their death. Not because of the police stuff but because Aug blamed himself, bringing work home with him and the grief and shock of it they now had someone to fault, because they entrusted their child to his mate, entrusted his safety and Aug unfortunately let them down, it sucks but I couldn't say I wouldn't blame him either. Then it was the captain of the ship that turned everyone else against Aug. That was because he thought he knew what happened made assumptions and didn't want Aug on his ship. It's just like his story feels soooooo unfinished, so I have been thinking, for CANON will say fuck this universe, this life and go through the Andromeda initiative for him it would be a REAL CHANCE to overcome and move on completely and for him to find happiness again, too have a new home. Cause he'd be frozen for 600 years he'd get that fresh start and a real chance to heal away from it all. Right now in his life, He doesn't want to forget them, but he feels the need to move on for himself and I really don't think he ever truly does that I think he genuinely tries but like.... Aug holds onto this feeling of guilt for wanting to heal and move on because he knows he needs to but that holds him back too. So when he finds out about the Andromeda Initiative, I think for him it’s like a beacon of hope. He sells everything that won’t fit in his bag and signs up for it. THING NUMBER TWO: my new OC specifically made for andromeda is actually a crossover character. I'm merging Mass Effect and Titanfall 2 because I love that game so much. this OC is still a work in progress but here you go. So a bit about him Name: Detis Nicknames: D, Big D (he will punch you for that), Call sign Relay Date of Birth: August 15, 2140 Age: 45 Eyes: Bright Blue Height: 6’2” Weight: 210 lbs Sexuality: Demisexual Family:{Unknown} Current Residence: Andromeda Military Career: he enlisted and was selected to become an Army Sniper. He served in the contact war. After which he was moved to Spec Ops. Because of his physical and mental prowess he was selected to become a pilot for an Experimental Bipedal Armored division. He loved it but the Project was SCRAPED. He was allowed to Purchase his Mech which he went into debt to do so. shortly after he Completed mandatory service and became a Freelance Contractor, where he was able to make enough money to pay off his debts. His Mech is linked via a neural net through his helmet, which while he is in the mech it is an extension of his body. His mech had a VI, something that just assisted with piloting and combat. It had three core protocols: Protocol 1: Link to Pilot Protocol 2: Uphold the Mission Protocol 3: Protect the Pilot Well after he purchased the Mech he had it reprogrammed switching protocols 2 and 3. While talking with @narqwibqwib we came up with On his last mission, he found a weird-looking piece of technology it was several thousand geth programs that were stuck without a connection to the collective and during his years in cyro it merged with his VI so the rules of the base program of the VI are ingrained in the geth progamming now he has a Geth AI with hard wired protocols Protocol 1: Link to Pilot Protocol 2: Protect the Pilot Protocol 3: Uphold the Mission

I’ve been tagged by @a-cosmic-elf for a little share-a-snippet-of-your-wip-game! Thank you very much for this and at this point just thank you for being such a lovely person! <3 

Here is a snippet of my current WIP from my fanfiction “Mass Effect Andromeda: Phoenix”, a Mass Effect-Shadowrun-crossover.

Samuel kept quiet as he entered the observation deck. He knew that Thantos was meditating, but he did not know if he had finished, as Samara had not been able to tell him. Thantos was probably aware of the soft hiss of the door, apparently not reacting to it, but after Samuel had entered and the door had closed behind him, the drell spoke in a low voice a few moments later.

"You are back."

Samuel took a few steps and then, bowing his head, knelt as the samurai had once done before the emperor to pay their respects and homage.

"Shaday." He spoke. "The run - the, the mission. It went differently than planned. I made a bad decision."

"Did you?" Thantos asked quietly, motionless.

"Yes, I have taken lives because...I wanted to pay off my debt fas-..."

Thantos interrupted him.

"You have made your decision. Don't justify yourself for something that had to be."

Samuel looked up.

"Had it? I let myself be tempted to do something evil, something cruel."

"Evil." Thantos murmured. "We don't live in a world of absolutes, things that are done are not always just good or evil."

“Yes, but…” Samuel was interrupted again.

“There is no ‘but’ – when you do something, do it, don't do it halfway, don't hesitate, do it, be sincere in your deed, however bloody it may seem."

"A saying from ‘The Way of the Holism of the Soul’ of the Drell." Samuel remembered.

"No, not a saying. A truth." Thantos stated.

He sensed very well the restlessness and turmoil in his soul brother, beckoned him towards him and Samuel rose briefly to kneel down right beside him. Thantos turned to look at him, but Samuel did not raise his eyes. The drell continued to speak.

„Remember what I once said to you when we were discussing different deities and beliefs? Do you remember when I told you about the Adversary? An embodiment of rebellion he is an anarchist, a symbol if defiance, everything you're not supposed to be, if it's about me.

He, however, is also a proud idol, utterly of itself an its mission. That said the Adversary can be interpreted in different ways, just like many things and views.“

Samuel nodded. „Yes, I remember it a little, we had a debate about good and bad. And I said that the Adversary is bad as a result.“

„There are, as said different ways to interpret the Adversary’s mission and not all of them are malevolent. After all, rebellion can be a positive force. You decided to go the rebllious path in not following an order, given by someone who is not me. It was your choice to kill that person. It was your choice – bad for the person for she didn’t know who she was messing with. Good for you. It would have been bad, she would have killed you, I would have lost my property and my brother.”

„It all sounded a lot less complicated before I talked to you.“ Samuel sighed.

Thantos shrugged his shoulders. „We live in a complicated world, ask your sister how complicated.“

Samuel was silent and Thantos studied his features and put his cool hands to the elf's cheeks so that he lifted his head and looked at him. Dejection, tiredness, a resigned look. He knew that look on his face, the one that returned whenever Samuel had done something that reminded him of the past - the past his mind remembered.

"Something of you has remained in the shadows. You are a shadowrunner, that part belongs to you, to your past, Samuel. But that doesn't mean you are condemned to pay for it for all eternity. You do not exist for a life of endless torment and self-torture. I've been trying to teach you that for so long - with moderate success, I know."

Thantos spoke to him in a fatherly loving tone, it was comforting to hear. Samuel sighed softly and leaned his forehead against the drell's.

"Thank you, Thantos." He whispered.

Okay that might have been a long snippet, sorry xD but I thought the whole scene was important.

Le 10 cose da sapere su Anthem

Anthem è il nuovo titolo di BioWare e sembra meraviglioso. Dopo la delusione avuta con Mass Effect Andromeda cerca la rivalsa e sembra riuscirci. Andiamo a vedere 10 curiosità su Anthem.

Anthem arriverà su PC, PS4 e Xbox One (quindi niente esclusiva Xbox) in una data ancora d’annunciare e non vicinissima di sicuro. Si tratta di un Action RPG su una base all’Open World e con un occhio in più per il multiplayer cooperativo. Ma ha anche altri punti interessanti, andiamo a scoprirli.

Due diverse visuali

Anthem propone due diverse visuali per il controllo del proprio personaggio. Sarà inquadrato in terza persona durante l’esplorazione del mondo di gioco, per passare poi in prima persona nell’hub del gioco, ovvero i posti in cui si ottengono missioni. Tutto il contrario dell’altro attesissimo gioco Destiny 2, dove si ha la prima persona nell’esplorazione e la terza persona negli hub.

Storia, ambientazione e mood

Aaryn Flynn aveva dichiarato in precedenza che la trama di Anthem ci vedrà come membri di una sqadra speciale di nome Freelancer, con l’obbiettivo di salvare l’umanità. Flynn ci tiene a sottolineare che Anthem è un gioco Science-Fantasy. Non si hanno altre notizie a riguardo della trama, ma quello che sappiamo ci basta per convincerci che avremmo a che fare con bestie aliene di cattiveria disumana.

L’Open World

BioWare ha insistito in modo chiaro sulla natura dell’ Open World di Anthem. Il titolo può sembrare molto smile in alcuni punti con Destiny, e implementare un Open World non può che essere un punto a favore. Se il mondo è bello come sembra dai video di alcuni gameplay, ci sarà da divertirsi.

L’exotute Javelin

I Freelancer avranno a disposizione una tuta particolare chiamata Javelin che ricorda molto quella di Iron Man. Le Javelin possono essere potenziate e arricchite con oggetti ottenuti nel gioco e sicuramente saranno il fulcro vero e proprio del sistema di sviluppo del proprio pesonaggio su Anthem.

Si vola

L’abbiamo visto nel video di gameplay che i nostri Freelancer possono volare grazie all’exotuta Javelin. Ma offre anche una potenza di fuoco elevate e la possibilità di andare sott’acqua, cosa che si sposa alla grande con la natura Open World del titolo. BioWare ha inoltre confermato, se  c’era bisogno, che i momenti di volo saranno del tutto sotto controllo del giocatore. Piccoli aviatori crescono.

Multiplayer

Molte attività saranno svolgibili in solitaria in Anthem, ma il nuovo titolo sarà fortemente incentrato sul multiplayer cooperativo. Novità su un possibile bisogno di una connessione anche in solitaria non ci è data saperlo, ma sicuramente sarà cosi. Anthem vuole essere il Destiny di EA e per ora sembra riuscirci.

Il numero di giocatori in contemporanea è 4, ma non sappiamo se questo numero sarà alla base di tutte le attività possibili in Anthem o se ci saranno distinzioni. Esempio: come in Destiny dove per i Raid si gioca in 6 giocatori, mentre tutto il resto in 3 giocatori. Nel mentre aspettiamo novità e/o conferme mettetevi d’accordo con gli amici per creare un team vincente.

Il drop

Il drop sarà una parte chiave di Anthem. Il drop di oggetti di valore servirà per poter potenziare l’exotuta e ad arricchirla. Nel trailer del gameplay quando i due amici s’incontrano c’è un dialogo che fa ben sperare ai videogicatori che uccidendo mostri si possano droppare armi o quant’altro d’interessante.

Curiosità

Il Director del gioco, Aaryn Flynn, lascerà BioWare alla fine di luglio. Al suo posto tornerà Casey Hudson, che dopo tre mesi passati altrove , torna alla casa madre. Non sappiamo se lo sviluppo di Anthem subirà variazioni.

La grafica fa vermente paura

Si la grafica fa paura. Presentato come uno degl’esempi massimi di ciò che può fare Xbox One X su uno schermo 4K di ultima generazione, il videogameplay di Anthem è davvero impressionante. Se avete un tv in 4K, con l’app You Tube, non vi basta che andare sul video di Anthem e gustarvi i dettagli. I vostri occhi ringrazieranno.
