Whistlemonth day 2 - kittens! <333

Whistlepaw meeting Leafkit, Grasskit, and Branchkit for the first-ish time!

I was planning to draw Stretch and Rustle and they will show up in future pictures, but I realized I *had* to draw Whis loving on her unborn baby siblings 💗

So here is very happy momma Featherpelt with an excited Whistlepaw :')

I've also included sketches of what the kits will look like when they're about young-apprentice-aged!

I headcanon that Whistlepaw talked (and talked and talked and talked) to the babies so much before they were born and Featherpelt found it amusing and adorable. :) <3

I'm realizing the framed photo thing is becoming a habit and sort of even part of my art style lol which happened here, and I think this turned out quite cute - and definitely decorated by Whis, with little hearts made of the things the kittens are named after.

WindClan (headcanon) family tree draft 1

So today I scribbled a family tree of most WindClan cats that aren't from CotC (and with some from the prequels set before TsR), because the canon wc family tree is just so..... barren?? generations missing, huge numbers of random cats with no parents popping up, nobody is related to each other and STILL there's like 3 distinct bloodlines in canon that are inbred to hell and back. Either you're related to everybody, or nobody, I guess. Anyway I shuffled some cats there to different families, filled in the void and used some su susann non-canon cats (that's drizzletrickle, rustlefern and cranberrynose) and saved some random dead kittens (adderdusk and buzzardglow) because it STILL wasn't enough cats!!! Anyway it looks like tangled computer wires

Green highlight is for cats that don't have parents decides (but most of them don't need to, also, i have ran out of cats so they aren't getting any anyway), yellow is for cats outside WindClan, and red is for foundlings/cats that joined WindClan on their own.

(Anyway just because two cats are parents of kits doesn't mean they're necessarily together, friends co-parenting is pretty common because I've decided that. Gorsetail and Onestar for example were just really good buddies and both wanted a little guy. Currently I added two polycules in wc: Breezepelt/Heathertail/Harestar, and Featherpelt/Hootwhisker/Oatclaw. But I have to like add them sparingly since they can really fuck up the three later. You know, three separate lines to track)

I really want Larkwings kits, Brookkit and Stripekit to become Slightfoot and Featherpelt’s apprentices when they come of age. I made a whole AU with this as a piece and now I’m really attached to that idea.
