Planned Action for LGBTQ+ & Allies in Response to Democrats Capitulating on Trans Rights
November 25, 2024 by Julia Serano, who writes: "I propose that on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024 (the first day that both the House and Senate are back in session), all of us who are invested in this issue and have a platform (whether it be a blog, newsletter, column, podcast, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.) publish a piece with the shared title: “LGBTQ+ People Are Not Going Back.” Yes, I know, it’s a cheesy title, but it holds Democrats accountable to their own talking points and makes it clear that backsliding on LGBTQ+ rights is nonnegotiable for us."

Update and disclaimer:
I have tried and have not finished going through the fraysexual hashtag. However, I have reported more posts as spam under this tag than I had to report as spam under the frayromantic tag. There are more polls too. Someone has tagged the history of the ace flag + word origin of the asexual label under the fraysexual tag…and then, these kinds of posts which are not fraysexual related get boosted under the fraysexual tag.
Tell me why the fraysexual community is supposed to care about asexual history when the ace community doesn’t care about the fraysexual community, makes no effort to raise awareness for the fraysexual community, and actively harms/makes it harder for the fraysexual community to get awareness by doing things like relabeling Asexual Spectrum Awareness Week to “ace week”? It’s frustrating bc you all seem to have no problem with demi awareness, inclusion, education, etc, which is why the demi option on these polls I am re blogging is so high.
Moving on, some other things I have noticed in the fraysexual tag so far is how people, particularly uneducated aces (it seems) will do things like “@/user” is an exclusionist! They believe [exclusionist rhetoric]. Or, I literally saw a post where someone was like “telling someone I was asexual was emotionally draining/hard enough for me. Now, I’m just grasping how vast the asexual spectrum is! Wow. Omg”. Posts like that aren’t fraysexual related and shouldn’t be tagged in the fraysexual label. Keep the fraysexual tag out of posts like that, because it comes across as “gawking” at fraysexuals and treating them like a zoo animal for being so different for you. Maybe if fraysexual awareness, inclusion, and education was normalized, grasping how diverse the asexual spectrum is (and why the ace community needs to do a better job with awareness for acespec labels) wouldn’t be such a surprise.
In other words, I reported a lot of posts as spam. Another thing that was lowkey pissing me off was the art. The only fraysexual art I had seen was bulk/collection posts, where they have tons of labels and do tons of tags, which ultimately boosts their posts. Although it was disheartening to see to posts like this as the only fraysexual art, I really didn’t like how fraysexual was portrayed as the last option, or sometimes even literally “smaller” than other acespec/aspec/queer art options. It really seems to be communicating a vibe of “insignificant” or how fraysexual was quite literally “barely included”, and is the first to be excluded (since it is the last option). How are fraysexuals supposed to feel pride in their identity when it’s treated like this? And if labels like asexual already have the privilege of having the most awareness out of all acespec labels, why are you making them the biggest, first, and most prominent option? When is the fraysexual community feeling included and welcome going to matter? When is pride in fraysexual going to matter? Can we stop spamming the fraysexual tag too on ace posts, while we are at it?
Bottom line: I haven’t witnessed any fraysexual pride (from fraysexuals) on tumblr. I have seen artists, sellers, and aces spamming the fraysexual tag with irrelevant or depressing content, which I have done my best to report those posts as spam so far. This culture needs to change; amplify fraysexual voices and fraysexual-focused art instead of focusing on the maximum number of notes for your blog.
Disclaimer: don’t harass anyone whose content I am reblogging. If they want to read my reblog, they will. Otherwise, it’s probably best to just accept these people don’t have empathy or don’t care about/value acespec/fraysexual awareness. Keep in mind 1) there’s still self-hatred about being asexual. Someone who hates themselves cannot uplift others in their community. 2) the garlic bread culture. There’s a non-serious, silly, “joke” culture that makes it difficult for aces to have serious discussions. Not saying this is an excuse for no acespec awareness or fraysexual exclusion; I am saying some people are not willing to listen or willing to have discussions like this. Do not harass anyone. You may agree or disagree with me on my blog.

April 7, 2024 My novella "Dreams of Loki" is now also available as a print. It is about spirituality, modern paganism and the struggles and joys of being queer. The Norse deity Loki plays an important part in it and some of the characters are witches.
🔥 Why did I write this novella? Several times, I heard stories about people who left a conservative or fundamentalist Christian cult or congregation and later explored a pagan path. But I do not know any fiction books which deal with this topic, so I decided to write such a story myself. This is also a devotional work dedicated to Loki. 🔥 The ebook and print on Amazon:
Amazon.com: https://www.amazon.com/-/de/dp/B0CZ7G16S5/
Amazon.co.uk: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0CZ7G16S5/
Amazon.com.au: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0CZ7G16S5/
Also available in all other Amazon shops worldwide.

Been a minute since I drew one of my own characters, huh? This is my protogen, Ieuan (pronounced E-yey-an (tis Welsh)). He's a gay Welsh punk who is not afraid to start (and finish) a fight. Strong sense of justice. Hates cops. Doesn't own up to anything. He's a good guy.

This is urgent, please sign, if you are a European citizen. If you are not, please reblog. The deadline for signing is May 17, 2025. The website is also available in other European languages.
Ban on conversion practices in the European Union
quote from the initiative: "We call on the European Commission to propose a binding legal ban on conversion practices targeting LGBTQ+ citizens in the European Union:
Conversion Practices are interventions aimed at changing, repressing or suppressing the sexual orientation, gender identity and/or gender expression of LGBTQ+ persons.
Such practices, due to their discriminatory, degrading, harmful and fraudulent nature have been qualified as torture by the United Nations, and are currently being banned in a growing number of States.
The EU plays a key role in the protection of fundamental rights and should take actions to fight against all inhuman practices. The Commission should propose a directive adding conversion practices to the list of euro-crimes and/or amend the ongoing directive on equality (2008) to include a ban on these practices.
Furthermore, to fight against the legislative moratorium, the Commission should also enforce a non-binding resolution calling for a widespread ban of conversion practices in the EU.
Finally, we call on the Commission to amend the Victims’ Rights Directive to establishes minimum standards on the rights, support and protection of victims of conversion practices.
All member states should introduce a ban on conversion practices or review their current ones."

no one needs that many "identities" and all it tells people is that you have no idea who you are beyond them
first of all, hiii :) i think that you can assume that, but not just say it as a broad statement as if it was a fact. disagreeing with people is okay but not sending them hate! i need those identities bc they are part of me, and i always feel the need to label things.
apparently it also tells me who i dont want to be friends with bc they assume that idk who i am beyond them, and all the people i would like to be friends with know that i am not "just" my identities bc i put them on my pinned post, its called gender euphoria and pride and you cant take that away from us
you sending me hate honestly made me laugh bc i was bored and i loooove debate, so ty <3 (it doesnt bother me at all if you keep on doing that it and would honestly be fun, BUT PLEASE DONT DO THAT TO OTHER PEOPLE BECAUSE MOST OF THE TIME IT ACTUALLY CAUSES HARM AND A LOT OF SELF-DOUBT, PARTICULARLY WITH TEENS)
also, if you wanna debate more profoundly about gender, sexuality and all that stuff, feel free to message me instead of sending anonymous asks, its probably easier and that way, you can actually try to answer and its a real debate where both can speak freely :)

And happy Pride to the disabled queer people whose healthcare providers don't respect or provide safe preventative care around their identities, whose educators haven't bothered telling them about queerness, and whose families don't believe that they can be queer.
I'm wishing a very Happy Pride Month to all the queer people who:
are disabled
are chronically ill
can't celebrate for health reasons
disability gets in the way of their gender representation
disability got in the way of a relationship
don't have anyone to celebrate with
have homophobic caretakers
Happy Pride Month to all disabled queer people

Today, I would like to show you two books that I have read for research for my novella „Dreams of Loki“
„Leaving the Fold: A Guide for Former Fundamentalists and Others Leaving Their Religion“ by Marlene Winell Ph. D. (from 2006)
This is specifically about leaving Christianity and not much is said about changing to a different spiritual path but rather leaving spirituality completely. However, the book is really insightful, it offers a lot of advice about how to get rid of „spiritual baggage“ so to speak and is recommendable in my eyes.
Tumblr media
„Changing Paths“ by Yvonne Aburrow (from 2023)
This book is basically for anybody who is contemplating to change their spiritual path, be it from Christianity to paganism, from paganism to something else or a different kind of spiritual journey. The book offers some theological theories and general thoughts about what spirituality/religion is and why it can be enrich your life. Other topics include reasons for leaving a specific path, religion and gender, ethics and more. There are exercises included, for instance journal prompts and guided meditations. I think this book is recommendable too.
There is just one point I do not agree with. The author emphasizes more than once that it is very important to find a spiritual community and meet like-minded people in person. Of course this can be beneficial, but on the other hand, there are also solitary witches and pagans who explore their spiritual paths by themselves, without a spiritual group or a coven etc. My novella gets published as a ebook on April 1, 2024 (no joke) in all Amazon shops and can be pre-ordered.
The print version will be available on April 7, 2024, also in all Amazon shops.
Here is the book cover and the blurb:
Tumblr media
The young lesbian woman Vera leaves a conservative Christian cult, starting a new life in Hamburg. There she must find a place to live and a job. But Vera has an additional problem: in her dreams, a mysterious person appears who finally reveals to be the Norse deity Loki. Vera mistrusts this deity – is this some kind of demon? In Hamburg, Vera gets to know more queer people and also a Norse pagan …
A novella about spirituality, modern paganism and the struggles and joys of being queer. There are also some witches in the story.

INTRO POST
[PT: Intro Post. End PT]
Hii! I'm @kitsflagz/@me0wk1t, but I'd rather be called Host for this blog, they/he/[ERROR] as pronouns. Here I'll reblog (lio)mogai labels/flags related to object shows!
Tag me in any object show related (lio)mogai post!
No DNI as archiving goes past that, i won't share my personal views
The tagging system will be: "media: [general, BFDI, II, etc.]", "type: [gender, orientation, etc.]", "theme: [character, concept, etc.]" & "character: [x]" when the label relates to a character. I'll also include "no id" & tw/cw for labels that need it!
Reblogs appreciated! + IDs in alt text

what i wouldve needed someone to tell me earlier <3
My best advice I can offer to anyone questioning their gender (or sexuality or romantic orientation); choose whatever label fits best or don’t choose one at all. You don’t have to define it if it’s too confusing or complex.
I saw a post somewhere and forgive me because I can’t quote it word for word because I forgot so Ill paraphrase, but it basically said that labels won’t always be 100% accurate and it’s okay to choose ones that explain your experience only 25%/100, or 75%/100, it all just depends on you. And I think that’s the best advice I could’ve heard because I was questioning my sexuality and romantic orientation once again during the time I read it. The weight was lifted when I found a label that works but doesn’t describe my experience completely, it’s as close as I’ll get, and I reminded myself that that’s okay.
Sometimes labels make us feel better and it’s valid to want to have one, but remember that they don’t always have to explain what you’re feeling completely. But labels are also only tools, so if you don’t need them or can’t find one that works then don’t use them. Or just create your own if you want to be creative.
yeah!!! im gonna pin this because it sums up the exact bit of advice i always struggle to get across and it needs to be said more often.
