sorry if you’ve answered something like this before, but how do you get over the fear of posting fics? like i feel like fandom is so toxic now im so scared to put myself out there. especially because my fic is a rarepair. it’s so scary

i think rarepairs actually tend to be less scary? when you're posting for a rarepair i think it's more likely you get the peopl who truly Want to engage with them, whereas with something more mainstream like wolfstar it feels like there's a lot more hostility.

but really it's just Doing It! posting and then letting it fly. you're creating for You because You enjoy it, and whilst the negativity is very Loud, there is 10000% more positivity !!!

which isn't very helpful advice i know, but i think most people still get a bit scared posting. the positivity always overpowers the negativity though !!
