Anyway I finished rereading Wicked today (for the sixth time? at least sixth) and what I actually can't stop thinking about is during the scene after Elphaba "kills" Madame Morrible and she goes to Avaric's house to tell him about it and they get drunk and rowdy, and Avaric tells her that after she didn't come back from the Emerald City, Glinda went through "another slide" like the one she went through after Dr. Dillamond's death

and Dr. Dillamond's death, the illness of Ama Clutch, and the realization that Madame Morrible is a whole lot worse than she knew was the most traumatic thing that Galinda had ever gone through, to the point where she had to literally change her name and become a new person just to cope with it. like it was HUGE personality shift for Glinda.

and Avaric just said that Elphaba leaving caused her to go through that again to an extent that its noticeable to someone who barely seemed to care about Glinda in the first place and for him to remember it decades after the fact

That’s really interesting — if they mean the Nessie and Pina comic, I found it sad, but not nauseating/viscerally upsetting. It seems like two well meaning people that care for each other very much who are not properly communicating their wants and feelings (Nessie especially) which is very real for someone dealing with depression from trauma which can’t be treated just with antidepressants since there’s still untreated core causes. I hope for the best for them! I just was intrigued because my emotional response was so extremely different. To me it just felt reasonable and sad but not at all unfixable.

now the question is will I let them fix it or will I doom them to suffer in the most incredibly cringe way possible

Funny story, I originally wanted to color these sketches, but I found that most of my traditional art supplies are unusable (the pencil colors has a very faded color, and most of my markers have a diluted yellow coloring lmaoooo ToT). I haven't been using them from 2019 and it really shows.

Can't stop thinking about Benson finding Randy full body sobbing in the closet or walk in cooler, and he never finds out why, but he asks later after the movie events when they're on the road and Randy just starts crying again and it all comes out as he admits how his mom's been touching him since he was a kid and that had been one of the worst nights, his mom had really hurt him, like bruised him up and full on raped him instead of just touching/jerking him off/making him touch her and Benson wants to kill her so bad...he just holds Randy as he cries until he falls asleep...

ohhhhhhh </3 randy and benson closing together and benson notices randy takes abnormally long putting things away in the walk in so he goes to check on him and randys just a wreck.. full body sobbing, red eyes, ruddy tear stricken cheeks, snotty face, bitten up lips— a full mess.. and benson doesn’t think he’s the best at comfort people but he tries his best, keeping his distance from randy and not touching him because he knows he wouldn’t want that for himself,, but benson puts on a soft voice and asks randy what’s wrong.. poor randy can’t get a word out without hyperventilating, chest heaving in and out, hands shaking as he tries to breathe properly..

eventually benson gets randy to sit down, telling him to count, and randy looks confused because what do you mean? but benson explains “it’s some therapy bullshit i learned awhile ago.. helps panic attacks n’ shit..” and whit that being said randy starts counting, benson listening to his voice fill the cold walk in,, near the tail end of the 100s randy starts to calm down, voice becoming the tiniest bit more steady, finally being able to take in huge gasps of air.. and with that benson gently pats randys shoulder before leaving, telling him he’s gonna go wipe down the tables and count the register (randys task),, before randy could even protest benson shut the walk in door leaving a shaken up randy on the floor…

when bensons counting the register he doesn’t question why randys crying but he definitely has an inkling why, he notices the way he tenses up when chris touches him, looking all pale when chris pries about his sex life, randy near vomitting when chris calls him a ‘mommy’s boy’.. yeah :(
