okay i almost never address the very small amount of internet fame i have. and sometimes yes it sucks. people often repost my work, or clip it out of context, or flat-out steal it. but like it can be very funny. once a follower dm'd me to say a guy on hinge was pretending to be "inkskinned", and actually had even started his own insta. when she said "i've followed her for years i don't think you're her", he said - actually r.i.d is like seven people, we just made those initials up. (rude). when i found his insta and messaged him, he begged me to just lie and say he was r.i.d because "it's hard for men to date."

once someone said she should be allowed to plagiarize my work because she was a body-positive influencer and that if i "made a big deal" about this and "got her cancelled", i would be doing damage to my own community and i was never "actually" an ally.

i bear these things with the aura of a martyr, the way my catholic father raised me to. i message privately. i handle things quietly and quickly. i do not complain because i am very, very, very, very blessed and i know that. mercy and gentleness literally pour out of me every morning when i wake up, and then i have to mop the floors for how very Good i am.

however today is the first time i have ever had a very specific problem that neither requires me to correct this person nor throw them to the dogs but is somehow worse than years of hatemail, reddit thread death threats, and pinterest reposts:

someone quoted me and just got it, like, a little wrong.

As far as carrying you is concerned, Phainon is an all-rounder. He can do the princess carry, the piggyback, the ‘throwing over the shoulder like a sack of rice’, the parcel-carry and whatever other forms of this practice are there. But, his favorite has to be making you sit on his left shoulder and holding you still with the adjacent hand. So that his right hand can be free in case of him needing to use his weapon. You get a nice seat and good view of your surroundings and he gets to hold you while having a route for emergencies. Win-win in his book.

Mydei prefers hauling you up on his right shoulder and picking a brisk pace to... wherever you're going. He reasons that it's faster and more efficient — especially if you happen to be in a situation that involves running. If you voice out the discomfort factor of this a few times though, he'll switch to keeping you balanced on his right arm, a one-hand carry basically. As it happens, his left side doesn't attain many comfort-points due to his armory and he isn't ignorant to that. However way he carries you, he'll prioritize swiftness, efficiency and your comfort.

You carry Anaxa. I mean, can he... carry himself? Granted, the scholar doesn't look the part and in his current state, probably doesn't have much stamina to carry around another person. However, I'd like to believe he's much physically stronger than he looks like — observing the way he handles his gun. He prefers cradling you, so that you won't fall face-first into the ground, like a stack of books almost. So, the closest candidate is a princess carry. But is definitely a bit awkward as he isn't used to it.

Seeing a bunch of writing posts lately like “it’s okay if you only wrote a couple hundred words today :))”

As someone with a full time job, diverse hobbies, and a commitment to proper rest/self care, I would amend that. It’s okay if you don’t write anything at all on MOST DAYS OF YOUR LIFE. You’re still a writer if you’re passionate about creating stories and putting words on paper when time allows. Life is busy and full of possibility, and that’s beautiful, actually. Kill the hypercapitalist productivity demon in your head.

This painting was a visualisation of what I think it’s like to dream. My dreams are always disconnected and nonsensical, almost like watching scenes flicker from one to another. In a way, it reminds me of being a passenger on a train looking out the window as the view goes by.

We don’t really have control of where we go or what we dream, so we sit aboard the train each night and watch wherever it takes us. It’s in these few hours when we sleep and dream, that we seem to no longer be bound by the limits of the real world, but instead become passengers to our subconscious, riding along with the waves of our imagination.
