Currently trying to wrap my head around the incessant fanfic theme of Sam being Dean's safe space. According to fanon, Dean trusts Sam so much he would allow Sam to top him, facilitate xyz risky sex act, help him vet guys to fuck him blindfolded, etc.

My doubt about any of these events happening aside, Dean does not trust Sam like this. He just doesn't. Canonically, Sam is the last person Dean ever wants to confide in or be vulnerable with. 15 seasons of Dean sharing his dirty secrets with everyone EXCEPT Sam and this is where we've ended up.

We don't hear a thing about Dean's feelings or vulnerabilities unless Sam is out of earshot, and then he's just spilling all over- Gordon, Bobby, Castiel, some girl he just met, Charlie, anybody but Sam.

#Sam being the person Dean lets down his walls with is pure fanon #if (and that's a big if) Dean ever did want to try bottoming then Sam is the last person he would pick to try it with #he'd find some stranger and make sure he had a gun under his pillow just in case #there are so many instances of Dean saying Sam can't be trusted on his own/to take care of himself #if anyone needs help doing the heavy lifting it's Sam #Sam's church meltdown was fully based on how Dean canonically treats him for their whole lives #just banning his little brother from certain activities or hunts. shooting down his ideas left and right...#wincest #spn meta #dean winchester #sam winchester #top!dean #bottom!sam
