A Master and an Apprentice
Obi-Wan x Reader
MINORS DNI
Tumblr media
After the death of your master, Obi-Wan Kenobi has been appointed to take her place. Between his constant criticisms and your secret crush for him, your feelings are incredibly conflicted.
tags: mild age gap, teacher/student relationship, oral, p in v, light mdom/fsub, praise kink, creampie
raaaaaah, i finally wrote an obi wan x reader fic!!! this man was my literal first crush, i wasn’t even in middle school when i realized i liked him that way. i love tpm obi and his mullet era in aotc, but rots is like his peak look. Do not argue with me on this he looked so damn FOIIIIIIIINE!!! 😩🙏
You sat crosslegged in the meditation chamber with your recently appointed master, eyes closed. You were a Jedi apprentice, a few years into adulthood. Your previous master had died before your eyes at the hands of Count Dooku. Despite the Jedi code’s strict forbidding of attachment, you took her death extremely hard, suffering in silence. You were too afraid to let anyone know you were struggling, especially the Council. To admit your grief was to forsake your way of life.
You were assigned a new master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. At your age it felt like an insult not only to you, but to the memory of your departed master. You knew you were more than ready for the trials, but the Council insisted otherwise. What made it worse was that Obi-Wan’s former padawan, Anakin Skywalker, had completed the trials and ascended to knighthood at a younger age than you were now. Granted he was the chosen one, but regardless you still felt your pride wounded.
It wasn’t solely because of this that you felt contempt for your new master, you had other reasons. You hated how he never seemed to trust your judgement, how he never gave you space to do things on your own, how he never seemed satisfied with your efforts.
As much as you hated him, there was a part of you, an aggressively loud part of you, that harbored feelings for him. He was incredibly handsome, wise beyond his years, and even if he never gave you room to breathe, the way he was protective over you felt… attractive.
Your feelings only made you more frustrated with him. You already wrestled with the unacceptable sadness over the loss of your first master, so to develop such a strong attachment to him felt like he was pulling you away from the only life you had ever known.
Tensions had been rising. It seemed more and more often that you were scolded for one thing or another. You were sick of it, if he corrected you one more time you were going to lose it on him.
Obi-Wan led you with his instructions.
“Concentrate, young one, let the will of the Force flow through you. Feel its energy, the way it guides you, how it-“
“I could if you’d stop talking.” You huffed.
“Now, there’s no need to be difficult. If you would heed my instructions you would find this to be far less arduous. Focus.”
“Are you insinuating that I don’t know what I’m doing?” You questioned, fully offended.
“I have said no such thing, you’re obviously distracted and I’m simply suggesting that you could give a little effort for once.“
You stood. You had no clue why something as small as this got to you, perhaps it was just the final drop in weeks of criticism to make your cup run over, but something in you snapped.
“You really don’t think I’m capable, do you? Everything I do, that I’ve ever done, it’s never good enough for you. I will NEVER be good enough for you!” You shouted.
Every single ounce of held back emotion came forth in the form of tears. You turned away, unsuccessfully attempting to hide that you had broken. Obi-Wan rose to his feet and put a hand on your shoulder.
“Y/n, I’m so sorry. I didn’t realize how hard I’ve been pushing you. I only want what’s best for you. I see your potential and I know you have so much more to offer than you let show. You’re extraordinarily intelligent, quick witted, virtuous, and you’re incredibly beauti-“
He stopped, realizing immediately that he had said too much and gotten ahead of himself. You turned to face him.
“I’m what?”
His cheeks became dusted with a slight pink. He took a deep breath.
“There’s no sense in hiding it. I find you astonishingly attractive. Everything about you draws me in, almost as if by the will of the Force. By day my thoughts are occupied with you and by night I see you in my dreams, shameful, lust filled dreams. If the Council ever knew how I felt about you, I fear they would never let me be in your presence again. It’s so wrong, thinking of my own padawan this way. I’ve tried to bury my feelings, but cannot live this lie any longer. Not at least without telling you how I truly feel.”
You put a hand to his chest.
“Obi-Wan… I feel the same way. It’s frustrating and confusing, but I-“
He cut you off, kissing you passionately. He cupped your cheek with one hand, the other finding the small of your back and pulling you closer. You tangled your fingers in his hair. He sat on the meditation seat and pulled you onto his lap to straddle him, you felt him grow hard against you.
“You don’t know how intensely I’ve longed for you, the things I’ve done to myself at just the thought of you.” He whispered.
His hands slipped your robes off of you, exposing your breasts. He kissed you and you pulled back.
“Wait, no. What if someone comes in and sees us like this?”
“No one is to be in here for another hour. Relax, let yourself enjoy this.” He said, leaning down to pepper kisses to your breasts.
He slid your trousers off your legs. His hands moved between your thighs, stroking your clit.
“How does that feel?” He asked.
“Mmmnn, incredible.” You whimpered.
“Good girl.” He purred.
Ohhhhhh sweet Maker, you were going to savor his voice saying those words forever.
Obi-Wan laid back and pulled you up to straddle his face. His hot breath lingered on you for a moment before he took your clit in his mouth. The pleasure was indescribable, he knew exactly what he was doing.
In your teens you had a habit of sneaking out of your dormitory to meet with a boy who lived in the city. It was no more than a fling fueled by hormones and curiosity. Obi-Wan was leagues more experienced than him it seemed, which normally would make sense at his age, but given his status as a Jedi master this left you with more than a few questions.
“H- how are you so good at this when you’re supposed to be sworn to celibacy?” You moaned.
“There are things about me even the Council is not privy to.”
His tongue worked your clit at a steady rhythm.
“Your taste- oh stars- your taste is incredible.” He moaned against you.
You rocked your hips, you were edging closer to orgasm. Obi-wan could sense it.
“Getting close, are we?”
“Mhm.” You whimpered, too wrapped up in pleasure to form a single coherent word.
Your breathing became heavy and you moaned loudly, coming undone on him. You panted, shaking as your orgasm ran through you in waves. He pulled you off of him, moving you back down to his lap as he sat up. His beard was dripping with your cum. You ran your tongue along the whiskers on his chin before kissing him, tasting yourself on his tongue.
You sank to the floor in front of him, he watched you intently. You pulled out his long, thick cock from his trousers. He throbbed in your hand. You licked him from the base of his shaft to the head and he shuddered in pleasure. You took him past your lips, stroking what you couldn’t manage to take your mouth.
“In the name of- where did you ever learn to do such a thing?”
“You’re one to talk, master ‘there are things about me even the Council is not privy to’ Kenobi.”
He laughed. “Fair enough, princess.”
You moved your mouth up and down his length, running along his shaft with your warm tongue and swirling it whenever you made your way up to the head. You continually pumped his shaft through all of this. Obi-Wan kept a hand on your head, fingers in your hair.
“Ah, if you keep doing that you’ll make me-“
You moved your mouth faster, your hand matching in speed. Obi-Wan gently pulled your head back by your hair.
“N- no, stop. As much as I love this, I need to be inside of you. Please, y/n.”
“Of course, my master.” You cooed.
You rose and straddled him, positioning yourself over his cock. Obi-Wan held the back of your head, pressing his forehead to yours.
“Take it slow, don’t overwhelm yourself.” He instructed.
“Do you doubt my ability, master?” You whispered in his ear.
You sunk yourself onto him at a purposefully fast pace. You winced and failed to stifle a sharp breath as every inch of him stretched you wide.
He chuckled. “And this is what happens when you don’t follow my instructions.”
“How dare you try to lecture me right now.”
“Perhaps my cock inside you will give you the proper motivation to- nngh- listen for once.” He said as you began to lift and drop your hips.
He wrapped his arms around you and pulled you against him, kissing you passionately. He bucked himself up into you. He dipped his head down to your neck, sucking the soft skin and scraping it with his teeth.
“I must know, my sweet girl, have you dreamt of this as I have?”
“Y- yes, master. There were nights I spent with my hand between my thighs, cumming with your name escaping my lips.”
He kissed you.
“Stars, what I would do to witness that.”
He picked you up by your thighs, setting you on your back on the cushioned seat. He hovered over you, hooking your legs over his shoulders and pinning your wrists above your head.
“I’m sorry my young padawan, but I cannot resist. I’m going to fuck you until you see stars.”
He thrusted himself inside you and fucked you at an intense, aggressive pace. For someone as prim and proper as he, seeing this side of him almost felt strange, but incredibly arousing. You knew that he must have trusted you a great deal to reveal this part of himself to you. You had never been fucked this hard before, you loved it. You tilted your head back, moaning loudly.
“Do you like this?” He asked.
“Yes, my master. Don’t stop, don’t ever stop.” You begged.
“That’s my good girl.”
His words made you tighten around him with a whimper. He cocked an eyebrow and gave a smirk.
“Hmm, I believe I may have found a way to keep you engaged in your training. If I were to offer my praise, tell you how much of a good girl you are, would that make you finally listen to me?” He asked, still thrusting at the same speed.
You nodded fervently.
“I need to hear your words.” He commanded.
“Y- yes, master.” You moaned.
“Now, that’s better. It’s refreshing to see you so obedient for once, had I known all it took was fucking you like this I would’ve done so sooner.”
You bucked yourself back against him in rhythm with his thrusts.
“Such a good girl, you’re taking me so well.”
His breathing began to hitch. He released your wrists and moved his hands to your hips, his pacing increased.
“I’m close sweet girl, where do you want it?”
“I- inside me, p- please.” You begged.
“Then tell me. Tell me just how much you want me to cum inside you.”
He moved himself even faster, purposefully overwhelming you.
“I- I c-can’t, fe-els too- hhhnn- good.”
He chuckled. “Just moan louder for me then, my dear.”
Up until now you had been doing your best to control your volume to some extent, but you couldn’t refuse your master’s commands. You moaned his name obscenely loud, you didn’t care if the whole Council heard.
His grip on your hips tightened, pulling you against him, burying his full length deep inside you as he came. His cock pulsed with every rope he shot into you, you felt its warmth flood your insides.
Obi-Wan pulled out and stood over you, watching as his cum slowly dripped out of you.
“Look at you, absolutely beautiful being claimed by me like this.”
He gave you time to breathe before helping you to stand, your legs shook.
“Now, get dressed and let’s continue our meditation.”
-
After finishing the meditation Obi-Wan pulled you onto his lap once again, his lips finding yours.
“I think you could still do with further instruction. Tonight, why don’t you visit me in my quarters for a lesson of… similar nature.” He whispered between kisses.
“Yes, master.”
You heard the door suddenly slide open, quickly breaking away and attempting to scramble off of Obi-Wan as you were greeted with your master’s former padawan.
“Master, great news, General Grievous has been spo-“
He paused, the sight of you halfway on your master’s lap and both his and your disheveled hair finally registering. You slid the rest of the way off Obi-Wan.
“What uh… what were you two-“
“Meditation.” You both said, trying to act as casual as possible.
Anakin gave a knowing smirk.
“Seems like some mediation. Sorry to interrupt, my news can wait.” He said, turning to leave.
“Now hold on just a moment, Anakin. It’s not what you think.” Obi-Wan said.
Anakin laughed. “Don’t worry master, your secret is safe with me. I think this makes us even now.”
You had no idea what he meant by that last part, but at the very least it seemed like his lips were sealed.

Have YOU got an old Windows PC Microsoft has told you can't run Windows 11? It's time to give it a new life!
How to install Windows 11 on unsupported PC Hardware using Rufus. You can also disable some other Windows 11 bullshit like data harvesting and needing a Microsoft account.
It has been in the news a lot lately that Windows 11 isn't allowed to be installed on PCs without certain requirements, including the TPM 2.0, a chip that was only included in PCs made in 2018 or later. This means that once Windows 10 stops receiving security updates, those PCs will not be able to (officially) run a safe, updated version of Windows anymore. This has led to an estimated 240 million PCs bound for the landfill. Thanks Microsoft! I get you don't want to be seen as the insecure one, but creating this much waste can't be the solution.
(I know nerds, Linux is a thing. I love you but we are not having that conversation. If you want to use Linux on an old PC you are already doing it and you don't need to tell me about it. People need Windows for all sorts of reasons that Linux won't cut.)
So lately I have been helping some under privileged teens get set up with PCs. Their school was giving away their old lab computers, and these kids would usually have no chance to afford even a basic computer. They had their hard drives pulled so I have been setting them up with SSDs, but the question was, what to do about the operating system? So I looked into it and I found out there IS actually a way to bypass Microsoft's system requirement and put Windows 11 on PCs as old as 2010.
You will need: Rufus: An open source ISO burning tool.
A Windows 11 ISO: Available from Microsoft.
A USB Flash Drive, at least 16GB.
A working PC to make the ISO, and a PC from 2018 or older you want to install Windows 11 on.
Here is the guide I used, but I will put it in my own words as well.
Download your Windows 11 ISO, and plug in your USB drive. It will be erased, so don't have anything valuable on it. Run Rufus, select your USB drive in the Device window, and select your Windows 11 ISO with the Select button. (There is supposed to be a feature in Rufus to download your ISO but I couldn't get it to work.?
Tumblr media
Choose standard windows installation, and follow the screenshot for your settings. Once you are done that, press Start, and then the magic happens. Another window pops up allowing you to remove the system requirements, the need for a microsoft account, and turn off data collecting. Just click the options you want, and press ok to write your iso to a drive.
Tumblr media
From there you just need to use the USB drive to install windows. I won't go into details here, but here are some resources if you don't know how to do it.
Boot your PC from a USB Drive
Install Windows 11 from USB Drive
If you had a licensed copy of Windows 10, Windows 11 will already be licensed. If you don't, then perhaps you can use some kind of... Activation Scripts for Microsoft software, that will allow you to activate them. Of course I cannot link such tools here. So there you go, now you can save a PC made from before 2018 from the landfill, and maybe give it to a deserving teen in the process. The more we can extend the lives of technology and keep it out of the trash, the better.
Additional note: This removes the requirement for having 4GB Minimum of RAM, but I think that requirement should honestly be higher. Windows 11 will be unusable slow on any system with below 8GB of RAM. 8GB is the minimum I think you should have before trying this but it still really not enough for modern use outside of light web and office work. I wouldn't recommend trying this on anything with 4GB or less. I am honestly shocked they are still selling brand new Windows 11 PCs with 4GB of ram. If you're not sure how much RAM you have, you can find out in the performance tab of Task Manager in Windows, if you click the More Details icon on the bottom right. If you don't have enough, RAM for old systems is super cheap and widely available so it would definitely be worth upgrading if you have a ram starved machine you'd like to give a new life.

btw when windows 10 goes out of service, move to windows 11 or linux. by staying on an OS which doesn't get security updates, your computer is much more at risk for attacks.
also yes everyone hates windows updates it makes you restart ur computer or whatever but please do them for security reasons. it is also a good idea in general to restart your computer once every few days regardless.
Windows 11 is perfectly fine for me as long as you:
DO NOT link a microsoft account to it
Remove all the copilot and ai crap and revert a few things like the right click menu. you can do it registry tweaks but winaero tweaker is a much easier GUI option. it works for windows 10 as well i would recommend it
i cannot stress this enough (assuming those two things), other than some UI stuff it is literally the same exact operating system and i got used to the change almost instantly
The settings app is a lot better on windows 11, and the control panel is still there and still the same
It's not any better or worse performing for games or productivity.
Nothing that i previously used on windows 10 broke, and there wasnt any huge annoyances or issues that windows 10 didn't also have.
I AM AWARE of the TPM 2.0 chip requirement. TPM 2.0 has been standardized for 10 years now, if your computer's motherboard was made in that time, it very likely has it. Windows might say you dont have a tpm 2.0 chip, you probably do, it's just not enabled, mess around in your bios, look up guides and stuff.
if you actually don't as your computer is quite old, i would try out linux honestly it is much nicer towards older hardware and can run much better on it (basically any hardware actually).

got influenced to read jedi quest so here's what caught my attention in the first book:
-friendless anakin getting in fights to the death in junkyards at 2 am to avoid lying awake feeling guilty about abandoning his mother
-both obi-wan and anakin being very fixated on the idea that anakin is inadequately self-sacrificing (seems unfair given his recent-ish actions in tpm)
-little signs that there may not actually be a style guide on yoda syntax, which makes me feel better about my own attempts to write yoda syntax
-bail organa mention 🥳🥳🥳 for being the only competent member of the senate
-for how much he criticizes anakin’s “strong will,” obi-wan seems awfully comfortable making big decisions in an instant without consulting the rest of the group
-classic “you’ve poisoned her against me” line from the villain after his treachery destroys a lifelong bond

Do you want to start reading The High Republic books, but aren't sure where to start? This reading guide has you covered!
The High Republic era has given us so much material to explore and enjoy, but that also makes it a bit daunting knowing where to start and what order to follow.
This will serve as your, maybe not quite one-stop, but hopefully very comprehensive guide to getting into all things High Republic!
[Note: I say this isn't quite a "one-stop" reading guide, as I am certainly not the first person to have made such a list. The official Star Wars site has a reading guide (though it is out of order; so if you use it, pay close attention to the publication dates. Helpful, though, for seeing the covers of everything, if you're a more visual person). I personally have found the Wikipedia guide to be incredibly helpful. And (especially for the comics), please feel free to do some of your own research into other reading guides; I did my best to list everything, but there are more detailed comics reading guides out there.]
TL;DR: If you want the shortest answer possible of where to start, Light of the Jedi by Charles Soule. It was the very first book published in this project, and is the perfect entry point into The High Republic era.
For more details and the full reading guides, keep reading below the cut.
Let's get into it!
Tumblr media
First things first, What is The High Republic?
The High Republic is a multimedia project, which includes books, comics, manga, and audiodramas (audiobooks but they have a full cast of voice actors + sound effects and music.) This era takes place hundreds of years before the prequel trilogy, during the golden age of the Jedi.
The High Republic has been published in three phases:
PHASE 1 (Light of the Jedi) takes place about 200 years before The Phantom Menace. [COMPLETE]
PHASE 2 (Quest of the Jedi) takes place roughly 150 years before that, so ~350 years before TPM. [COMPLETE]
PHASE 3 (Trials of the Jedi) goes back to the Phase 1 timeline, so ~200 years before TPM. [INCOMPLETE at time of posting. The final three novels and remaining comics are set to be published this year in 2025]
Do I need to read ALL the books, including YA and middle-grade?
Short answer: it depends! If 24 books is really daunting, or you just aren’t sure you’re going to have the time to dedicate to all of that, i would say no, you don’t have to read everything. You could read just the adult novels (which is the main-main storyline for everything), and be just fine!
However, if you are looking for a more well-rounded, full picture of this story, more characters to enjoy, or just want to read as much of this era as possible, than yes, i definitely recommend reading everything! the YA and middle-grade books have been just as well-written, and while you don’t need to read them to understand the main storyline, they fill some gaps in, introduce a lot of really fantastic characters, and make the story as a whole more full and fulfilling.
Now, where do I start?
I definitely recommend starting with Phase 1, Book 1: Light of the Jedi by Charles Soule.
This was the first book to be published, and is 1) a fantastic book, and 2) a great introduction to the galaxy at this time.
From there, I recommend going in order of the Phases, which would essentially be publishing order.
HOWEVER: this is not the only way to read the books; this is just my recommendation. I started with Light of the Jedi and it pulled me right into this era. But I know others have gone in timeline order (ie reading Phase 2 first, then Phase 1, then Phase 3) and really enjoyed that reading order as well.
(for more insight about starting with Phase 2, see this post.)
Tumblr media
READING ORDERS
NOVELS ONLY READING ORDER
[*Though I did not include the dates, the following list has the books in publication order, and is the suggested reading order.]
 READING OPTIONS
You for sure will want to read at least all the adult novels. At the very minimum you could read just the adult novels for Phase 1 & 3, and get a full story. I do really recommend reading the Phase 2 prequel novels, but reading is individual, so go with whatever reading amount and order will bring you the most enjoyment!
If you know you want to dedicate to more than just the adult books, you can add YA and Middle-Grade books into your reading order as it works best for you.
Level 0.5 - Phase 1 & 3 Adult Novels Only (TOTAL = 6 Books)
Level 1 – Adult Novels Only (TOTAL = 8 Books)
Level 2 – Adult Novels + YA Novels (TOTAL = 16 Books)
Level 3 – Adult Novels + YA Novels + Middle-Grade Novels (TOTAL = 24 Books)
PHASE 1
Light of the Jedi by Charles Soule (adult)
A Test of Courage by Justina Ireland (middle-grade)
Into the Dark by Claudia Gray (YA)
The Rising Storm by Cavan Scott (adult)
Race to Crashpoint Tower by Daniel José Older (MG)
Out of the Shadows by Justina Ireland (YA)
Mission to Disaster by Justina Ireland (MG)
The Fallen Star by Claudia Gray (adult)
Midnight Horizon by Daniel José Older (YA)
Phase 2
Path of Deceit by Justina Ireland & Tessa Gratton (YA)
Quest for the Hidden City by George Mann (MG)
Convergence by Zoraida Córdova (adult)
Quest for Planet X by Tessa Gratton (MG)
Cataclysm by Lydia Kang (adult)
Path of Vengeance by Cavan Scott (YA)
Phase 3
The Eye of Darkness by George Mann (adult)
Escape from Valo by Daniel José Older & Alyssa Wong (MG)
Defy the Storm by Justina Ireland & Tessa Gratton (YA)
Temptation of the Force by Tessa Gratton (adult)
Beware the Nameless by Zoraida Córdova (MG)
Tears of the Nameless by George Mann (YA)
Into the Light by Claudia Gray (YA) [Publishing April 1, 2025]
A Valiant Vow by Justina Ireland (MG) [Publishing May 6, 2025]
Trials of the Jedi by Charles Soule (adult) [Publishing June 17, 2025]
Tumblr media
NOVELS + EVERYTHING ELSE READING ORDER
This list includes all novels, a short story volume, audiodramas, manga volumes, and comics.
If you have the time to dedicate to reading everything, the audiodramas are really well produced and the comics + mangas have been incredible. All these other publications typically follow characters that aren't in, or are featured very little, in the novels, so the stories remain fresh and new and aren't rehashing what's in the novels.
I know all of this additional material (especially the comics) can be a bit overwhelming. Here is a continuation of the reading levels above, based on what I will be easiest to add into your novels reading order:
Level 4 – Adult / YA / MG Novels + Audiodramas (TOTAL = Audio x3)
Level 5 – Adult / YA / MG Novels + Audiodramas + Manga (TOTAL = audio x3 + manga x6)
Level 6 – Adult / YA / MG Novels + Audiodramas + Manga + Comics (TOTAL = audio x3 + manga x6 + comic TPBs x27(ish))
[Note: for the comics, I divided them up based on trade paperback (TPB) volume, instead of individual issues, to keep things simpler. For the separate volumes, I placed them after the "wave" of books they coincide with. There are a few one-shot comics I didn't include, because most of the one-shots are included in the TPB volumes. So whether you buy the TPB or check it out from the library, those one-shots will likely be included and make it so you don't have to track it down separately. (and if you've got a library card, the Libby app has all the High Republic comics!)]
[Note #2: Star Wars: The High Republic and Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures are the main storyline comics that have run through every phase. To distinguish which Phase they are part of, the year of the first comic in that Phase's run has been included (Phase 1 = 2021 / Phase 2 = 2022 / Phase 3 = 2023). This does not mean all comics in that run have been published in that years, just the first one.]
Phase 1

A Test of Courage

how old can the Stranger conceivably be?
we don't know - and aren't supposed to know - at this point, possibly ever.
but with the recent-ish releases of The Visual Guide (reference book by Pablo Hidalgo) and Wayseeker (novel by Justina Ireland) we can narrow it down!
I: show-only extrapolation
the Stranger was Vernestra's student. at some point he left the Order in a way that made Vernestra assume him dead. he also has old scars matching Vernestra's signature weapon, suggesting a confrontation between the two.
Vernestra is pretty old. not only does she have a position of authority within the Order and with Republic leadership, we know she remembers middle-aged Sol as a shy youngling.
Osha came into the Jedi Order 16 years ago, and left 6 years ago, by the time of the show's present-day events. the Stranger very strongly suggests his departure was old news by the time she joined.
assuming he was at least a teenager when he left the jedi, and stretching Osha's unawareness of him to her not remembering the confusing drama around the time she joined as a little kid, he's at least in his 30s (with no real upper limit from the show itself).
II: taking into account the High Republic books
(i think the books can't be used to answer the show's mysteries, because the show is meant to stand on its own, both from a creative and economic standpoint; however, everything suggests the creative team is taking their lore into account and won't conflict with them.)
Vernestra is 16 years old at the start of the book series, which takes place 200 years before The Phantom Menace, and around 20-ish when they end (the exact chronology of the latest books and upcoming finale of the series is not firmly established yet).
the show doesn't clear up the exact year it's set in within its text ("one hundred years ago" referring to first THR book events in the flashbacks, "a hundred years before the rise of the Empire" in the opening text) but was described as set 100 years after the beginning of THR and 100 years before TPM prior to release. assuming very roughly a century since the books would make Vernestra around 116, let's say 100 to 125, during the show.
Vernestra's first Padawan, Imri Cantaros, reaches Knighthood around the time she is 19, towards the end of the book series (yes, the circumstances are special).
it isn't unheard of to take a student older than yourself (Grogu and all that), but we don't tend to see this scenario with human Padawans.
i'm gonna make this weird and say that with the THR books and show in mind it's conceivable the Stranger is around a hundred or even older. likely? fuck no. but the dark side is a pathway to many abilities some would consider unnatural.
III: incorporating Wayseeker
(the book was written after the season was done but before and while it aired, and on a pretty hectic schedule, by Justina Ireland - Vernestra's creator. it was also written before the show got cancelled. there are allusions to Vernestra's last apprentice but nothing specific, and the timeline is pretty wishy-washy.)
we learn that the Stranger was the final one in a series of Vernestra's Padawans as of the book's timeline (presumably going on into the show - Mog is notably not her Padawan). however, this doesn't really narrow the timeline down at all; we only know she had at least three (though probably more) students over the decades. how long one stays a Padawan is highly individual, especially in newer media, not to mention frequent examples of a master dying or otherwise leaving and another Jedi concluding the Padawan's training.
Vernestra had a falling out with a colleague around or slightly over a decade before the book, and had recently marked "another" anniversary of her last student's death at that point. that suggests he has been presumed dead for at least 12 years during the book's events.
we don't get any significant hints at how long ago this might have been beyond that - the characters who discuss the possibility of Vernestra taking on another Padawan referencing her tragic experience are fairly old themselves, and don't give us any more context.
Indara is 26 at the start of the novel, and the plot of the book takes place over several weeks. while the show itself doesn't give us Indara's age, i think it's reasonable to say she might be in her 50s during the present-day events (Carrie-Anne Moss' age during filming), and several years older than Sol. let's go with very roughly 20-35 years between Wayseeker and Indara's death in the show.
Vernestra's age in Wayseeker is not specified beyond "nearly a century" in her own internal narration. the events of the book series, during which she was a teen, are also described as (nearly) a century ago several times. since i trust Vernestra's knowledge of her age over the historical precision of several characters, i'll say the oldest she can be in the book is 99 years old.
it has been at least 3 decades since the Stranger's presumed death as of the show's timeline, likely closer to 4 or more. continuing the reasoning that he was at the very least a teen at that point, the youngest he could be in the show would be in his late 40s (this approximation already contains several edge-case assumptions, so i'd say it's highly unlikely, but we're keeping our options open). keeping Vernestra's age as the upper boundary, the oldest the Stranger can be during Wayseeker is in his 90s - adding the 2-3 decades to get to the show, he could be well over a hundred years old.
IV: considering The Visual Guide
(material for the book was collected during the show's production and airing, and many minor pieces of information were clearly decided after the fact. the book incorporates information from the Kelnacca comic and Wayseeker for character biographies. it specifically omits information that Lucasfilm doesn't wish to reveal yet - or ever - including the Stranger's age, which is listed as "unknown".)
Indara's character page includes a timeline of her life, giving us a concrete way to anchor Wayseeker to the show: she was 26 during the book and 54 in the show's premiere. the book therefore takes place 28 years before the show's present-day events.
Kelnacca's page has a similar timeline of the last century of his life, giving us a way to relate show events to THR's chronology. we know he was 149 years old when assisting in the Starlight Beacon recovery mission (which occurred at the end of THR Phase I, around 2 years after the books start; Vernestra would be around 18 at that time, and it would be over a year later that she reconnected with her missing Padawan Imri and knighted him). Kelnacca was 248 at the time of his death in the show, and 231 during the Brendok mission (seemingly dating the show flashbacks 17 years earlier, though this is perfectly fine - the mission took months, and we don't know when his birthday is). the show is therefore set around 99 years after the Starlight Beacon's fall (which would also put it 99 years before TPM).
since some 28 years passed between Vernestra's Padawan being at minimum 12 years gone and the show, the Stranger could be at the very least in his late fifties, likely older. Vernestra is around 117 years old in the show, and there doesn't seem to be anything directly conflicting with the Stranger also being over 100, though it would be very unusual.

Star Wars: The failed mentor and the fallen Chosen One
His inability to train this kid properly effectively turn Anakin into Darth Vader and drives the rest of the stories. Not only he lets his mentor(Qui-Gon) down, but it plays into the collapse of the Republic. This is why he feels obligated to rectify the situation with Luke.
At the end of the film, TPM, Obi-Wan takes on the obligation to train Anakin one that he can´t really fulfill because it´s over his head.(George Lucas about Obi-Wan Kenobi)
One of the reasons why I always enjoyed star wars so much is that it made me remember those classical stories we all read as kids, those stories resonate with us because they tell the old battle between light and dark at a cosmic scale but also a very personal one.
In the case of Anakin and Obi-Wan that´s no different, Anakin is the chosen one who fell to the darkside and Obi-Wan was his failed mentor but Lucas goes a little farther than just condemning them for their choices, he brings in TPM a whole context from which their choices made sense from the beggining.
In Obi-Wan´s case, he is described as the guide who is a support and companion of Qui-Gon in his adventures, he doesn´t like the fact Qui-Gon likes to bring "beggars" to their journey because he is very mission focused and believes they will only slow them down(sounds familiar?) but Qui-Gon believes it´s ok to bring on the beggers because they can be useful, in fairytales the beggars often become central to the story and even the one element neccesary for the heros to win, that´s the role of JarJar and Anakin. They don´t seem like much purposely, because their potential is hidden but it´s there and in Anakin´s case he is central to solve the current confrontation between the Jedi and the Sith but he isn´t part of either group, he is a neutral in the fight and he depends on the guide he receives to go to one side or the other.
So at the end Qui-Gon dies, Obi-Wan feels "obligated" to take on Anakin to fulfill his mentor wishes but he is going to fail at it, because he is over his head, he never wanted to bring in Anakin, he believes he is dangerous and too powerful, the main reason why he is going to train him is because of his promise to Qui-Gon, Yoda himself warms him about this because that´s not how one begins a mentor relationship but Obi-Wan is decided to go this path and it costs him everything.
So Obi-Wan trains Anakin badly, they often can´t agree, we don´t see him trying to guide Anakin into the self reflection neccesary to use his powers and make decisions wisely the way he did with Luke in the old trilogy or even the way Yoda did it, he only gives orders to Anakin, he expects to be him to obey, not reflect, this only makes Anakin more resistant to his authority because Anakin was a slave who relates to masters as the ones who give orders and his mother/Qui-Gon mentor as the ones who guide with love and care but also give him the chance to make decisions and ask him for his pov, after his mother and Qui-Gon deaths the only person who fits this description is Palpatine(You must do what you think is correct, Palpatine tells Anakin in ROTS ) so Palpatine ends up becoming to Anakin what Obi-Wan was to Luke in the OT, he is his mentor but it´s a poisoned mentorship, he means to destroy Anakin´s sense of self, use his power, make him his slave and destroy the republic alongside him. Anakin is a thing to win for Palpatine and he gets him at the end of the PT.
So Obi-Wan feels directly responsible for Anakin´s fall to the darkside, not because he believes he is responsible for Anakin´s actual actions but because his training was insuficient and was full of conflicts he carried from his previous relationship with Qui-Gon and he messed up when it was his turn to train Anakin.
He does considerably better ad Luke´s mentor but he no longer trust himself to train him personally, neither does he has the time but he manages to inspire in Luke what he failed to do with Anakin, trust in the force, trust in himself and teached him how to make his own choices.
But Obi-Wan is also kind of Palpatien like for Luke, because while he is a good mentor who means Luke and Leia well he has hidden motives, from the beggining his plan is to point Luke agaisn´t Vader(Luke´s father) as the way to correct his first mistake in training Anakin and when Luke discovers this he recents obi-Wan´s actions, he feels manipulated by his favored mentor and Obi-Wan decides to be honest with Luke, something he could never do with Anakin, he tells Luke he truly believes Anakin is death, Vader must be killed, the Emperor must be defeated for the galaxy to be free.
Yoda shares many of those sentiments but after discovering Vader himself told Luke he was his father, Yoda understood Vader´s feelings for his Son were genuine, so he wasn´t as supporting of the idea of having the Son kill the father as the beggining, unexpected that was indeed.
Obi-Wan is a better mentor for Luke that he ever was for Anakin but he is still hurting from his experiences and it´s flawed and it´s alright.
Luke understands Obi-Wan´s actions came from a place of love and hurt and decides to seek the best path ever for their dilema, treat his father with compassion and love because unlike Obi-Wan, Luke has been able to sense those feelings from Vader because Vader only is able to be open and vulnerable to Luke.
So we end up back to the beggining, the thing that allows Vader to wake up Anakin and become a Jedi once again is undoncitional love and just like his mother and Padme were inspirations for Anakin in the beggining, Anakin is old and tired enough to recognize Luke as the best possible future for everybody, because Anakin before and after falling, wanted to make justice, wanted to help everybody, this wish was buried deep in him but it was still there and if Luke could forgive even him he could not let him die.
Obi-Wan realizes his friend was still alive and while he could not save his body he still could offer him a way to connect with the living, so he was able to see his Son and daughter once more, he did this because he was finally able to forgive him.
The kingdom is saved, the story goes on and both the fallen chosen one and the failed mentor were able to redeeem themselves. It´s this message of hope the thing that brings me back to star wars, no one character is perfect, they are not always correct, they just do the best they can and that´s what drives the story.
The psycology of Star Wars is very old. Wether is knights in armor or greek warriors or western gunslingers, you are always telling the same story where you combine the larger cosmic and spiritual issues with the temporal issues of who you are and what your limitations are.(George Lucas on Star Wars)

Some weirdos shippers on Twitter/X keep bringing up the “Episode 1: Insider Guide” CD-ROM which comes with annotations on knowledge from the early drafts of The Phantom Menace because of one specific annotation it provides which is heavily taken out of context as a way to argue their ship being real or “almost” real, so I thought I’d take the time to break it down and explain how absurd they really sound.
Insider guide reveals that Padmé was 12-13 in the early drafts of TPM, grew an admiration for OWK because he stood up to the queen (it literally states that she was “impressed” which is a word typically associated to the direct result of forming an admiration or respect for someone.) and that explains why she gave him adoring/admiring looks, and also quite literally states that she watches him with “interest and respect.” (Very indicative to the true nature on her affection.) Mind you, OWK was 30 in the early drafts and Padmé was the same age as Anakin (12-13) OWK was old enough to be considered Anakin’s “father figure”, so wouldn’t it be interesting to claim that this logic wouldn’t also apply to Padmé somehow??
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It should be noted that OWK (whom is actually really Qui-Gon in the early drafts for TPM before they were switched out.) is only said to be nervous due to constantly being gawked at by someone and it makes him slightly uncomfortable as anyone would feel if they were being stared at. Not any indication of reciprocal affection or romantic attraction (should go without saying since he is a 30 yo man feeling uncomfortable with a 12-13 yo girl watching him with such admiration 🤡) Trying to amount something out of what’s clearly a childlike hero-worship of a 12-13 child over a 30 yo man is a wild ass assumption especially when the nature of Padmé’s fascination with OWK in the early drafts are quite clearly meant to be seen as kiddish admiration instead of romantic love.
Insider Guide annotation subtitled it “A crush?” (Which is funnily enough posed as a question rather than a straight fact.) is to engage the reader with a quirky composition. It’s not supposed to be taken seriously. Think of it equivalent to a click bait title on a YT video. Falling for it shows your lack of comprehension since the information provided in the annotation itself is very apparent about what it’s saying and implying. *All while Anakin and Padmé have a handful of tender and sweet moments together, obviously laying down the groundwork for a budding romance, and Padmé relationship with OWK remains strictly as an alliance with no tender or personal moments apart from professional and respectful ones with an undertone that would exist only between an authority figure and a child*
There's no verbal or direct acknowledgment in the early script on neither Padmé or any other character through the dialogue or anything else that her interest is even equivalent to a romantic crush, the only thing that's hinted at is that it's out of respect which is more so equal to an adolescent admiration for an authoritative personality, and only exists for about 2 scenes (see the footnote: pages 33, 43-44.) before fading into nothing as the story goes on. (Definitive of how irrelevant it’s supposed to be, so much that it was completely discarded in the end product as it wouldn’t contribute to the plot in any way.) And ironically, it fades into nothing after Padmé meets Anakin (lol, apart from the fact that her fascination with him wasn’t at all lasting and ended up being totally forgotten, the argument that this was supposed to be a setup for a future subplot to make Anakin jealous is a false interpretation as well.) plus the fact that not every crush is = to wanting a romance with someone. Platonic crushes aka admiration of someone is very much a thing as well, especially if you’re at the tender young age of 12, cause at that point crushes aren’t really romantic pursuits or interest, it’s always heavy on admiration and respectful affection, which is quite obviously what was being presented as the case in the Insider Guide.
Yeah, so in conclusion, I wanted to put this all out here cause some proshippers really be using the Insider Guide as proof that ob*d*la was supposed to be a thing without ever diving deep into the actual content it provided, and instead took at face value what misleading screenrant articles had to say then rolled with it, lmao.

‘The Temporary Temple Guards’ by RoosjeM - Not Rated
It was a widely known fact within the Temple, that the Temple Guards stationed at the Coruscant Temple were experiencing a ‘shortage’ at the moment. Seeing as Knights were sent out to complete missions and went on protective details, they were also the Corp that was responsible for the Temple Guards. - “I may have an issue.” “What is it?” The boy was alone. No one else was around despite it being the middle of the night. Just the boy who made a bee-line for Obi-Wan. He was way too young to be out at this time let alone out here all alone. It was the boy’s training armour that tipped Obi-wan off that this was more than just a lost child. “I have a youngling in front of me. There is no one else around and I am pretty sure he’s Mandalorian.” Quinlan paused, then asked, “...Come again?” Obi-Wan peered down at the child tugging at his arm. “Aran, ner echoy'la.” Kriff. “Correction, I have a Mandalorian boy in front of me telling me he’s lost.” - Or it’s Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi’s turn to be a Temporary Temple Guard and of course one of his past missions comes back to haunt him.
My head is warm, my feet are cold by themonopolyhat - Rated T
No one knows yet how in the Sith hells Obi-Wan managed to sneak up to his quarters before collapsing, either. The fact that he did so on the morning of his own fucking funeral is so theatrical that Vokara may never forgive him.
Or: Obi-Wan rescues himself, gives a Padawan anxiety, and creates problems for Mace and Vokara.
An AU/remix of Night_Fury's if i don't make it back (from where i've gone).
Knights of the Republic by darkstars12 - Rated G
For too many years the Jedi have been mysterious to us. They have been idolized to the point of legend and today we’re here to set the record straight. The Jedi are not some kind of little gods, but rather a beautiful and unique culture that has yet to be explored within modern media. I’m your host Xiaan Pauk and this is Knights of the Republic: Unfiltered.
carried in your heart by grumpyhedgehogs - Rated G
“I am always with you.” Obi-Wan tells her. Her heart thumps painfully in her chest as her grandmaster rests his palm over it. The organ betrays her, beats away like it can crack her ribs apart and slip between them to leap into Obi-Wan’s chest and stay there with him, always. Slowly, tentatively, Ahsoka lets Obi-Wan guide her to rest her own palm over his heart. It pulses under her fingers, reminding Ahsoka at least one Jedi still lives on. “You are always with me.”
Mace's Headache by Siri_Kenobi12 - Rated G
The Jedi Council is shocked after that fateful meeting with Qui-Gon Jinn in TPM, but should they really be surprised that the ‘Maverick’ of the Order would somehow be the epicenter of the prophesied “Chosen One” and the reemergence of the Sith? Should they really be surprised that the Padawan raised by the defiant Dooku would find a loophole in the code in order to get what he wants? That he’d stubbornly stick to his position even if it meant he inadvertently crushed the future of a promising young man in the process? The question plaguing Mace’s mind now is, does he step in to try and fix it? Or does he just leave things alone? Either way Mace Windu already has a headache.

Depa Billaba led her padawan, Caleb Dume, through the halls of the Jedi Temple. The path they took was one that was as familiar to her as the katas of Shii-Cho. or Shatterpoint Lineage Dinner, with a twist
Epistolary Investigations by Knifehawk - Rated T
History is an interesting thing, especially when it involves an organization like the Jedi Order that has records stretching back twenty-five thousand years. One would expect that such an organization would have a relatively clear and accurate understanding of their own history, especially history merely four thousand years in the past, but what happens when a single Jedi, desperately searching for any new knowledge that will quench the ire of his archivist friend, discovers information that calls the entire history, and doctrine, of the Jedi Order into question. Typically, debates would be had, accusations and rumors of heresy and apostacy launched, and the seeker would back down fearing their declaration as "fallen." When that Jedi is Master Yan Dooku, Padawan of Grandmaster Yoda, Jedi Shadow, and close friend of Archivist Jocasta Nu and Seer Syfo-Dias? It turns out that a great many things change. Probably for the best as time is running out, and a Force-gifted confrontation edges closer and closer.

You are a Jedi, and this is what that means.
a stitch in time by ash_in_a_burrito - Rated T
Obi-Wan looked out at his clan of initiates. The Dragon Clan had about ten younglings, all gathered around, looking at him with eager eyes. If he was being honest, he was feeling a little nervous about taking his first class. Quin had told him that it would feel natural, and he’d find it no problem, but Quin had also been practically raising Aayla since she was 4 years old.
Scarab by b1uebear - Rated G
“Master,” she said, “is it wrong for a Jedi to kill?” “It would certainly be wrong for you to kill that poor beetle,” Mace replied. Padawan Bo-Katan gets into a philosophical discussion with her Master. For Jedi June 2024.

A Jedi may not be able to help everyone. Elara refuses to accept it.
The Eight Younglings by ThirteenGreen - Rated G
The Jedi fosterer Master Laeus goes on another trip across the galaxy to collect younglings for the order. Her journey takes her to seven different worlds in the Republic, different cultures and peoples offering different receptions and glimpses of the galaxy, but all holding a part of the next generation of Jedi.

It's been a year already it seems! Welcome to the mental illness!
A year ago my friends introduced me to star wars, and it wasn't the original trilogy that made my autism go brrrrr, no it was the prequels with it's windows XP background fight scene in TPM that got to me.
Not long after, today in fact, is when I discovered Obikin and now every time I see fanart of them together I kick my feet and giggle at how much I love them.
To personally celebrate one year of being in this fandom I have decided to show y'all just how bad it's gotten lol. I will be going over my book collection as well as my pin collection. (Help my wallet is screaming at me)
Tumblr media
Now you might notice that book five of Jedi apprentice is missing from this, that's because I currently have it out and have been staring at it for MONTHS at this point because I absolutely despise Qui-Gon in this series and I know he's going to for some reason abandon Obi on a civil war torn planet instead of taking him to space Mcdonalds!
Tumblr media
Despite the fact that I'm more obsessed with the prequels if I see a book I don't have at thrift stores or second hand book shops I can't help myself but grab it, especially since one character in particular really fascinates me, and that's good ol' Anakin Solo and the sadly less talked about Ken. I wanna know why Leia decided to name her kid off of the father she never knew and the father that also tortured her. And I just really like Ken, he never appears outside of two books but he will forever be canon in my head because he's Palpatine's GRANDSON. And he also says he's just Ken (Barbie flashbacks)
Tumblr media
Now these, these are all the ffg ttrpg books I own for star wars! There's one of the saga edition and I've also been using the essential guides for ideas when I GM our campaign. Should anyone want information that one of these books has feel free to DM me and I'll send what I find! (Not seen is my Forces and Destiny core rulebook and chronicles of the Gatekeeper, both out because I'm using them for ideas lol)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are the two zines I own! I was lucky enough to come into this fandom when nightfall was doing preorders and I managed to snag one! Found is a found family based zine I actually found on Ebay!
Tumblr media
Oh boy...Welcome to what I can only describe as a pure concentrated form of my obsession with Obikin. Admittedly this idea wasn't an original thought, it was inspired by discovering @aigoos pinboard design and it inspired me to make my own! The board is actually handmade by me! I bought a pinboard at Michael's and then went to a local fabric shop where I got this beautiful fabric! It isn't the most clean cut well put together board but it's mine! :3
Tumblr media
These are hilariously up there as being my favorite keychains! They're from Nightfall zine!
Tumblr media
Look at my boys cuddling, look at them, this is the cutest most adorable enamel pin I own and I would slaughter all the younglings in the temple for them.
Tumblr media
And as you can see this is the very same pin I posted about days ago where I was concerned that it might be a scam or that the seller was no longer active, great news they are! They hadn't uploaded anything since last year but now it appears they're back! The back of the pin actually says "I loved you!" and I did in fact squeal like a school girl when I saw that! 🤣
Tumblr media
This is the brotherhood 2 pin by Foundling mercantile and I wasn't originally going to buy this, I had originally woken up to get the starfighters and Bunnywan/Nyanakin pins which while currently unavailable on Foundling you can still get from RussianRita on Etsy! (They're also who I got the boy's cuddling from!)
Tumblr media
Here we have my boys, just chilling, killing, and while unfortunately my phone camera doesn't show it Obi-Wan's lightsaber glows in the dark! (It was very important that I mention this I absolutely adore glow in the dark stuff!)
Tumblr media
So really fun fact about these! I had messaged the seller, Deileeart, on Etsy because they hadn't gotten a review since last year so I was worried that they were no longer selling, only for them to immediately respond and next thing I know everything's 75% off! I obviously had to grab them, they're so smol and cute!
Tumblr media
Then up top we have my plushies/figures! The first three plushies are by @mouyashii and they're incredibly soft! Padme especially and I don't know why lol! Anakin also has darth vader's helmet underneath his robes!
The one's on top of each other are their tsum tsums! Poor perpetually splitting Anakin, the second Obi gets removed he'll just kill me.
Then the last two are by @saeuchelle! They're connected by a keychain and it's so incredibly satisfying to spin them by that chain in between my fingers!
Tumblr media
Also Obi has just a wee bit of a "tabard" problem, it never goes down! 🤣
And that's all of them! (for now) I'll probably start showing off new merch I get in the future because I gain great joy from talking about them! They're my favorite lil guys after all!
Thank you for reading my rant, have a lovely day! 💜

The Force
This is another, ‘the Force is fucking with us right?’ Kind of idea that I feel like makes up about half my ideas.
It starts just after Obi Wan Kenobi is beheaded on the death star. The Millenium Falcon has just exited the Death Star but has not jumped to hyperspace yet. The alarms have not quite rung when two things happen that derail the entire sequence of events.
First Obi Wan Kenobi and Cody (who had been on Alderaan when it was vaporized) appear, from apparently nowhere in front of Luke, Leia, and Han. They look like they did at the beginning of the Clone War (Obi Wan is still only just recognizable as Old Ben). The second is that Alderaan (and Scarif) reappeared, completely undamaged (I just want you to picture, for a moment, the operators and techs of the Death Star or anyone looking out of one of the viewports where the Planet they just vaporized-with all the detritus that entailed- reappeared unharmed).  Though it was not known right away every single victim of the Empire from the Purge forward (including the Clones) have reappeared, spread out throughout Alderaan.
Every single one of them have all their memories up to their deaths. Those that had been dead for more than a month also have some idea of what has happened since their death (taking into account age, mindset, and how traumatic the knowledge would be for them).
Everyone is still very confused.
On the Millenium Falcon, they do not jump to hyperspace because they are too busy gawking at the two men that just appeared (and everyone on board, barring the formerly dead men, is asking themselves some version of -does The Force work like that?). Then they notice that there suddenly is a planet where there had been a debris field.
Feeling more than a little bewildered, Han hesitantly begins to fly toward the planet and in the background CodyWan reunites after twenty years of believing the other was dead.  They are guided to the Royal landing pad by a few shaken techs who will be asking for a vacation and a raise.
Onboard the Death Star, the low level techs consider if they should call Darth Vader? Should they call the Emperor? Fire again (It would take time for the weapon to charge and no one is really sure a second shot would do anything if the planet was reconstituted the first time)?
Vader is still down in the hallways of the ship, feeling anticlimactic victory over Obi Wan’s robes and well away from any viewport when suddenly the Force is feeling much…fuller? Then it had been a few moments before.  The screaming that had been deafening since Alderaan’s destruction quieted and the crying he had been perceiving since killing the younglings had ebbed.
On of the comm techs hesitantly (so hesitantly, their speech was all full of all umms and errrs and they really hope that they do not piss Darth Vader enough for him to hunt the tech down-it would not be the first time something like that had happened) tells him that there was a Padme Amidala calling from the planet demanding to talk to him.
Vader manages to get out that she should be patched through. A large part of him is going PADME!!!!!!! A smaller part is going ‘there’s no planet here any longer?’
The conversations start with Padme going “ANAKIN NO MIDDLE NAME SKYWALKER” in a very pissed off tone. It does not get better for Vader from there.
This is not the same Padme at the end of ROTS, who had gotten so caught up in being in a romance novel that she was smacked in the face with the third act twist of it turning into a horror story.  This version of Padme has been watching for twenty years exactly what Anakin was doing, separated from her need to see the best in him. She is closer to her TPM self, and absolutely livid at Fascism done in her name. Padme is also, to her reckoning, back from the dead, about to meet her children for the first time, and possibly immortal (after what just happened…who knows).
Somehow Padme’s entire rant is broadcast throughout the Death Star. None of the stormtroopers know who this person is but they have a deep instinctual need to surrender (Even Tarkin does not recognize Padme after 20 years).
The Millenium Falcon lands on Alderaan. Leia grabs her parents and holds on, before anyone can say anything.  Luke sees Owen and Beru (also brought back, and to Alderaan) and does the same.  Obi Wan and Cody are off to one side holding each other (Obi Wan is basking in the Force being lighter than it has in 2 decades-though he does not know that rest of the Jedi are also back). Han hovering off to one side awkwardly.
Padme comes storming out, having just finished her…conversation with Anakin. Obi Wan jolted (being the only person currently paying attention who would recognize Padme-Also Bail and Breha had already had the ‘oh that kind of back from the dead’ realization). Padme strode right up to Obi wan and slapped him upside the head ‘that is for getting decapitated before telling my kids they were siblings’ then she hugged him.
After a long period of time, Luke and Leia separate enough from their adoptive parents to meet their mother. Also getting to realize that they were siblings.
After the current reuniting, and uniting, is over Padme says ‘Oh, Anakin will be coming down shortly, he has some things he needs to say’.
Obi Wan, the only other person who knows exactly who Anakin Skywalker is, goes ‘Padme…that may not be a good idea’
Padme gives a smile that could also double as a threat display, though not aimed at anyone present. ‘You need not worry, Obi Wan, Anakin will be spending the rest of his life making up for what he has done.’
For the first time Obi Wan considers that cutting off Anakin's limbs and leaving him to burn on the bank of a lava river was actually kinder than letting him face the full fury of Padme Amidala.
He did manage to communicate exactly who Anakin Skylwaker is. Thankful, at least, that Padme was there for the ‘Our father is Whom???’ Padme does reassure Leia that she did not have to be there and confront the person who tortured her and blew up her planet, but Anakin does owe them all at least one Apology. Leia promptly decides she would be there.
It is an Awkward set of meetings, not the least of which is because Mace Windu comes through with some of the formally murdered younglings (who all knew what they would be facing and wanted to confront their murderer). Vader (and he is still mostly Vader) is not sure why Padme Amidala is intimidating him, but he is going with it.
At some point someone brings up the Emperor. Padme makes that same smile, the threat display, and says that Palpatine should probably start running before she got to him. Far away Palpatine felt a chill along his spine…something had just gone very wrong.
There will be time to deal with the new metric ton of trauma. Seriously there are types of trauma that had never existed that they would have to develop therapy for. There are people to find places for that have been dead for twenty years.   There is still an Empire to dismantle.
But for now there is a man who is arguably the second most evil person in the galaxy awkwardly apologizing to his daughter (unknown) for torturing her and blowing up her planet, her adoptive parents for blowing them up, a slew of children he murdered, as well as an entire planets worth of people (many of whom he owes a very personal apology-also probably some kind of compensation), with his 5’3” formerly dead wife looking on.
Even the Force has no idea how we got here.

So I've got some Acolyte thoughts again after giving the last episode a couple days to percolate and talking to my partner about it. Spoilers under the cut.
So the thing about the characters we've seen die so far - Yord and Jecki - is that they are non-essential characters, in effect. They have a role in the story, but not a load-bearing one. The story isn't about them where the story emphatically is about Mae, Osha, Sol and our new Sith friend. The show is at its core about the relationships between these four people. It's probably going to spin off in some really wild directions given where the last episode ended, but Mae and Osha, Mae and Qimir, Mae and Sol, and Osha and Sol have so far been the primary defining relationships that keep the story in motion, and there's burgeoning hints at a pre-existing relationship with Sol and the Sith Lord and the last episode's ending strongly suggests a big part of the next episode is going to be about building on the beginnings of Osha's relationship with the Sith Lord that was established when she saw shit go down in the last episode, especially with the implications that there's more to the story of what happened to the witches that raised her.
So it makes sense for those two to die, as their stories are secondary to these four core characters who define the conflict of the show. They're secondary characters who have intrigue and are involved in that conflict, but they're not the ones guiding it, not really.
But what I find really interesting about this is that they are both very loyal adherents to the Jedi Order and the Jedi Code as it is understood at this point in-setting. Look at how they both are introduced. Yord enters the story reuniting with his old friend Osha. Where she greets him warmly and happily, he's very much all business and arrests her pretty much immediately without really bothering to listen to her or corroborate her story or check her alibi in any real way. This sets up his extremely by-the-book nature which, of course, extends to his view of the Jedi Code. Jecki, meanwhile, is introduced chastising her master for his nostalgic attitude towards Osha because to her it looks uncomfortably like attachment - as we know, that's forbidden for the Jedi. It also sets Sol in contrast as someone who has a bit of a less strict view of what is ideal in a Jedi and how one is supposed to act.
So when we lose them, we don't just lose two characters we'd really started to feel some affection towards, we lose our two characters who are most attached to the order's rules. And what we're left with is a Jedi school flunkout, everyone's new beloved Jedi dad who loves you in a way the Order doesn't seem to like much, the very face of unhealthy codependency, and a fucking Sith Lord. The least messy of these characters is clearly deeply wounded by the past and struggles to contain his emotions at times. And now, his emotions have become a huge part of the show's battleground, and he's lost the two strongest anchors to the Jedi way when he needs them most.
And while we're at it, it also deprives Osha of the same. When Yord comes to see her, she's genuinely excited to see him again and proud of him for making Knight. When she decides to leave before the Khofar mission, she goes out of her way to say goodbye to Jecki. It's clear the two have developed a bond over the course of the story.
All that's left for Sol and Osha is an existing connection they have with each other - the very connection the fallen Jecki enters the scene criticizing.
That on top of how this show is very interested in the Jedi Order and how it navigates is place in the galaxy - as both a religious institution and a political institution and the way those impulses conflict with one another. Already we've seen aspects of how scared the Order is of this getting out. And if the Jedi believe the Sith have been extinct for a millennia by the time of TPM, there's gonna be another shoe that'll drop - especially if Qimir is part of the Rule of Two's lineage. Either this will all get buried or we'll discover things are not how they seem in some other way.
This is gonna be real interesting, I'm sure.

Graveyard of Stars (tpm ~ rots)
Slave to the Zaltos.
Despite the implication of her name, Evira Skywalker has spent her entire life chained to the ground. As a slave to the infamous Zalto twins, Evira spends her days working tirelessly in their tavern, from washing dishes and serving food to cleaning up the inevitable spilt blood and vomit. And thanks to her small stature and ability to sneak almost anywhere unnoticed, she was also privy to some of their less desirable operations, a fact that her mother absolutely detested. But as their slave, she had no choice but to obey their every whim. Being sold to another owner, possibly off world, was not an option- not when Anakin and her mother were still on Tatooine. She’d made a promise to herself the day that Anakin was born to always protect him and be by his side. And nothing could ever make her break that promise, not their owners, not their circumstances and poor lot in life- not even the Jedi.
Slave to the Jedi.
When Qui-Gon Jinn disrupts their life on the desert planet, claiming Anakin to be the ‘Chosen One’ and offering to free them both and whisk them away to the Jedi in order to train, Evira looks past the pretty words to see the ugly truth. He wasn’t there to free them. They would merely be exchanging one Master for another; their leashes being passed from Watto and the Zaltos to the Jedi Order. Everything in her rebelled against the idea. At least with the Zaltos, she knew what to expect. She knew how to bend their rules and keep them happy. On Tatooine, she knew how to keep her brother safe. But when Anakin leaps at the chance to start a new life, Evira doesn’t even think twice before going with him.
No part of her wants to be a Jedi, the supposed ‘keepers of the peace’. She chafes under their strict rules, their expectations, and their ever present eyes and ears watching and waiting for her to mess up. Everything about her seems to earn their disapproval- from her age to her strong attachment to Anakin, from her defiant nature to her refusal to call anyone ‘Master’. It was no secret that the Council wanted to be rid of her- and she them- but her saving grace came in the form of a young Twi’lek woman.
When Ziva Nol offered to take her on as her padawan, Evira expected her to be no different than anyone else, but Ziva surprised her. Having lost her two younger sisters to the slave trade, Ziva understood her in a way that no one else did. She gave Evira the freedom that she so desperately needed while guiding her in the ways of the Force, not as her Master, but her mentor. Under her tutelage, Evira began to see a life for herself among the Jedi, a place where she might finally belong and call home.
But just as all good things in Evira’s life, it doesn’t last.
While the Jedi transition from peace keepers to soldiers in the midst of a bloody war, Evira finds herself struggling between what she wants and what she is forced to be. And as Light and Dark clash inside both Evira and Anakin, the galaxy sits at a tipping point, the scale of good and evil balancing on the shoulders of the two young siblings from Tatooine.
