Your talk of chrysalis quarterly made me remember something lol. So, when I was in university, my major required that I work around archival material pretty often. One session, the instructors dug out all these magazines. Although I no longer remember what the task was, I remember sticking by one table in particular and taking photos as if they were for assignment help after hours.

What was in the particular magazines at my table? Adult entertainment ads, sexy calendars, underwear models (all men).

dskjdsfalkfjds, yes!! archives are really important to me. (god, y'all are so good about prodding my hyperfixations... we've gone from deer to marimbas to archives in the span of a week... i'm gonna pass out...)

i think archives are an incredibly important thing when it comes to preserving our possibility! you're actually not the first person who i've talked to about their tv flickering in an archival context!!

i also think it's really sad that we have to do so much digging in archives to find ourselves because archives are generally spearheaded by white cishet people and they don't describe us properly enough for us to find ourselves!! that's why i like projects like the digital transgender archive, which basically take trans and gender diverse archives from other institutions and... basically treat them better...

there's some issues with having trans media online but it also gets away from the surveillance of archives. (there's actually A LOT of interesting research on archives being surveillance-oriented and how that limits marginalized folks from interacting with archives. tbh you taking pictures is very brave imo because the combination of having to ask for permission to see the materials + being watched by someone at a reference desk as i interact stresses ME OUT.)

so i really like community archives. actually, if you're interested in archives at all, i highly recommend archive-stories! the website is beautiful but it also showcases a lot of community-driven approaches to being memory keepers.

As an autistic monster fucker and a furry (stay with me) I feel confident in saying Laios is not a monster fucker. Laios hyperfixates on monsters like irl people hyperfixate on dinosaurs. Not once have I seen him interested in a monster sexually. He is all about fun facts and recipes.

He is, however, definitely a furry and I'd bet money he's got a fursona and a monstersona.
