Mercury: so insanely smart and fast thinkers. Very real, straight to the point and say-it-like-it-is kind of people, love them. I could hear them talk all day

ASC: most authentic people you'll meet!!! What you see is what you get. Also very spontaneous and effortlessly fun

Venus: love, so fun to be around and specially the women with this placement they're soooo hot

Sun, Mars: these are very similar imo. so loyal and protective people but they tend to be pretty crass and often come across as rude unintentionally. Aries Suns are more blunt and outspoken while Aries Mars can be more chill but they're more prone to attracting hate. Great people to have in your corner overall.

Moon: Stubborn as fuck. Not open to understanding anything beyond themselves so they tend go around life with HUGE tunnel vision. Trying to reason/negotiate with them is nearly impossible

Taurus

Moon: my god, you won't know emotional intelligence, calmness and care until you meet a Taurus Moon like DAMN. Their patience, empathy and sense of boundaries is just impecable

ASC: their energy is sooooo soothing like ugh. They have a very cute and comforting aura, very magnetic people and naturally gorgeous

Mercury: they speak slow or not too much but once they let a full sentence out it's usually GOLD

Sun: hmmmm they do tend to be kinda full of themselves but they have BDE and are pretty hot so I'll give them that

Mars: VOICE is soooo good. However they tend to be low-key problematic tbh. Will get very snappy and petty real quick

Venus: I know this is venus's domicile but... most taurus venus I've seen were low-key kinda..... harsh and stern in their love style?? And not all that loyal if im honest with you, they're only loyal when they see personal benefit/satisfaction. It’s true that they’ll spoil you if they truly love you tho

Gemini

Mars: comeback queens/kings, also very multi-talented. What else can I say they always manage to be so iconic

Moon: out of all gemini placements they're the most likely to sit down and really listen to you. Can be too honest, another say-it-like-it-is placement. Comforting others is not their forte but they're very tolerant and patient

Venus: golden retriever energy, extroverted and popular and I've said this before but they can be very loyal!!

Sun: they are cool and so so funny but can also be veeeeery immature and a bit self-righteous. I love them but that bad press they have in pop culture exists for a reason that's all im gonna say

ASC: they're very intelligent and entertaining but gemini on the asc is such a messy placement imo cause they have an identity/existencial crisis at least twice a day which can make them kinda chaotic people to have in your life (love you guys tho)

Mercury: talking with them is VERY annoying tbh. They will just roughly listen to what you say just keep interrupting and eventually start their own monologue. They ain't listening they aren't even wanting for their turn to speak they're just waiting for whatever opportunity to speak

Cancer

Mercury: such good listeners!! also they are very honest and genuine with what they say like aries mercury but more tactful

Venus: this placement soothes down the most fiery personality. They are very loved and inexplicably magnetic

ASC: mommy issues. I love their intuition and they are really good at creating community wherever they go but my only complaint is they are defensive 24/7

Moon: hit or miss. Either really emotionally mature person that wants to take care of everyone or very immature and childish with a victim complex

Sun: huge attention seekers. Insecure, codependent and always looking for validation. Tend to portray themselves as innocent/clueless/harmless, etc.

Mars: these are SLY motherfuckers, they scare me more than scorpio mars

Leo

Moon: I have to admit this placement surprised me for the better. Yes they can be egotistical and entitled but when developed leo moons are very profound and passionate people with strong morals and are really good at inspiring others and lifting them up

Sun: the main character complex rumors may or may not be true but their magnetism and charm is undeniable

Mars: extremely prideful, my way or the highway kinda attitude, but they’re usually pretty harmless people from what I’ve seen. Their anger can be intense but they let it go easily after some dramatic moment. Dedicated.

ASC: daddy issues central. Known to be the most introverted leo placement but they’re very very very attached to their pride underneath. They really do wanna be/feel special and unique to the point of keeping most people at arm’s length cause that’s how much they wanna distinct themselves

Mercury: won’t hesitate to change topics if they don’t care what is being talked about or it has nothing to do with them. Laser focused on their interests tho that’s pretty cool

Venus: yeah they're generous but also a bit overbearing and low-key snotty. Tendency to associate themselves with people they don’t like all that much just because it gives them status or cause they get to receive lavish treatment

Virgo

Mars: omfg I love this placement so much. They handle conflict with SO much grace and embody all the good traits of virgo (capable, responsible, hard workers, great to work with, helpful, self-accountable....) *lady gaga's voice* talented brilliant incredible amazing show-stopping spectacular-

Venus: genuinely very responsable, dedicated and loyal in their relationships and commitments. I always find myself often complimenting their style and fashion choices

Mercury: a bit of a menace bc they can be good liars but they're always very very talented individuals in whatever it is they do

ASC: pretty self-serving tbh and often come across as goody-two-shoes or know-it-alls but they're alright for the most part. The virgo placement that has it the LEAST together tbh

Moon: they'll be there for you when you need help or advice but they can be pretty judgmental. They have a tendency to not really give people some grace. If they genuinely like you tho they’ll be extremely appreciative of everything you do right. Supportive

Sun: Very standoffish personality. Hard on themselves on the surface but probably also has a hidden superiority complex. The only placement where I prefer the men over the women

Libra

Moon: least superficial libra placement. Very introspective, sweet and find it really easy to understand other's emotions in an unbiased way

Mercury: invented the concept of understanding and voicing other perspectives with necessarily agreeing. Mind of their own.

Venus: superficial and obsessed with the opposite sex? Yes. Extremely devoted in all their relationships? Also yes.

Sun: meh. I keep having this experience with Libra Suns where I think they're great at first but then they end up being... not so great after some time. They're not bad really but their air-headedness makes them very unreliable

ASC: Their charm is manipulative and can easily hide a shitty personality underneath (not always the case tho). They're also the most emotionally superficial/detached of the bunch

Mars: hypocrates, huge huge hypocrates. Dubious morality. Playing devils advocate

Scorpio

Sun: they mind their own business and are really good at picking their battles wisely, only taking out their “dark” energy when it’s needed

Mars: don’t bother them and they won’t bother you. That’s the golden rule. Otherwise they’re pretty chill and unproblematic, dark humor enjoyers and strong-willed. I won’t say they’re completely drama free but hey

Mercury: they’ll be open to talk about anything, you can tell them literally anything and will listen intently without judgement. They can easily use info against others or withhold info tho so make sure they can be trusted

ASC: y’all low-key enjoy toxicity and drama but you don’t wanna admit it!!! They really thrive in uncomfortable situations and probably likes gossip too. One of the most black-or-white mindset placements

Venus: yeah not the best in relationships. They don’t really give their all and when they do give something it’s never unconditional. Relationships are always a power dynamic to them

Moon: Very tricky placement. Life has not been kind to them oof. Either they’re very traumatized people with a good heart deep down or very traumatized people with a really ugly and nasty soul. They also romanticize psychopaths and antisocial behaviors for some reason?????

Sagittarius

ASC: yes Im biased I don't care. But, be honest, when have you met a sag asc that wasn't cool af? Case closed. Life's good as a sag asc and when it's not, we make it that way

Sun: if you keep the men out of the equation sag suns are amazing!!! Their personality is like a breath of fresh air

Mercury: soso profound and intelligent. Will introduce you to new perspectives, great researchers. So good at finding answers and solutions!!!

Venus: Very open-minded, they are genuinely very accepting of literally any kind of person! They will applaud and celebrate your differences and quirks however they tend to be flighty and pretty light on their feet

Moon: Anger issues!!! Very volatile and defensive people underneath that chill and funny persona. They have well-known beef with someone. Don't like admitting their wrong, prone to ghosting everyone 99% of the times

Mars: the most entitled and rude out of all the sagittarius placements. The type to laugh in your face and never take accountability, their attitude can be revolting if you ask me

Capricorn

Venus: they make me MELT. So incredibly attractive, reliable, such an impecable taste, the way they treat you will bring you to your knees like ugh I can't

Mars: most resilient individuals I've seen truly!! Literally nothing will bring them down. So so ambitious, focused and have endless energy love them

Moon: I wanna root for y'all cap moons but being honest I've seen this placement is very common in really toxic personalities. They hold lots of past resentments and can be very judgmental and mean similar to virgo moons

Aquarius

ASC: socially adaptable but they stay true to themselves at the same time. Attractive, loyal and fresh personality/presence.

Mars: veeeery likable and popular. They really are dedicated to making an impact on the people

Sun: when they just simply focus on being themselves and doing their own thing they're very genuinely special and chill people and great friends! However when they care too much about being making themselves special they're very egocentric and unnecessarily problematic

Venus: messy placement. Very welcoming but they have big trust issues. They go back and forth between 'everyone loves me' and 'everyone hates me' and so they act accordingly....

Mercury: super intelligent, great in debates and very convincing, they always make great points. However the god complex is BLATANT here, they really think they're the only one that's right

Moon: another deeply traumatized placement. They can be great advocates for the collective however they tend to lack empathy specially when it comes to interpersonal relationships

Pisces

Sun: rough around the edges at first but they are a lot more helpless and vulnerable than they seem on the surface. Also they are genuinely really good at disappearing??? You won't even notice they're gone. Their presence is striking tho

Mercury: "idk what the fuck she's saying but girl I am living!". They have such a rich inner world I can't. SEDUCTIVE

ASC: they are... functioning humans. They go around life not being completely sure of what's going on but hey that Jupiter is somehow making everything work for them

GREETINGS FROM DASHCON 2!

Yes, I actually went to Dashcon 2. Given it was held in Toronto, it was literally no problem in getting there, lmao. This actually was the very first convention I ever went to and quite hilarious therefore it was the sequel to one of the most infamous conventions of all.

Before you ask, yes...there was a ballpit!

And there was a Tumblr sexyman shrine too cause of course there would be And yes, Bill Cipher was on it...!

I also left my own offering to Bill there.

The vendor area was insane. There were so many talented artists and creators selling their incredible merch. I had a lot of fun just exploring around and looking at all the amazing art and merch for sale.

And I did get some stuff. Alongside the Dashcon 2 pin, I got these lovely Gravity Falls stickers and mini poster from @biggertoasterart and @mxgicarp. Bigger Toaster even recognized me which was pretty funny. Really fun to meet you guys and thank you for the amazing art. I really love it.

All in all, Dashcon 2 was amazing. I had a ton of fun and it was great to see so many other amazing people just having fun and celebrating their passions. Saw a few Gravity Falls cosplayers too which was really cool. I don't get to explore such places much, but I'm glad I was able to visit this. I can now say I survived Dashcon!

Didn't drink the ballpit piss though so I missed out on that. But hey, someone probably did and it must've been delicious!

Also, this was my first time at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre and it is such a beautiful place. I really gotta visit it again one day...you know...when there isn't a piss filled ballpit there and pregnant Ford pins, lmao.

Just got a fun 911 fanfic idea while watching funny Shawn Spencer edits; a 911/Buddie 'Psych' au. Buck, of course, would be Shawn because I feel like he could match the ridiculous humor and is the most likely to get himself into stupid predicaments like having to lie about being psychic.

Mostly everyone else would stay the same jobs at regular 911; despite what may be assumed, after the initial warming up to him period, Athena is pretty cool with it. She doesn't necessarily believe he's a psychic but we all know she's willing to bend some protocols to solve crimes sometimes, taking on a role like the Chief. (Starts with a grudge tho, same as regular canon.)

Eddie however would be pulling double duty as simultaneously being the Jules of this scenario but also being Lassiter. Eddie's a major skeptic as we all know and would constantly be trying to trip Buck up into doing something to prove he's not psychic. Over time though it kind of slows down as he realizes that underneath the goofiness and gimmicks what a good person he is. They of course fall in love, because obviously. (Also same as canon, Eddie comes in later, so Buck's already semi-established as a 'reputable' psychic reference for the police. So we have the comedy of Eddie being all doubtful and judgemental.)

Chris absolutely loves him and thinks the idea of being psychic is really cool, but I also kinda like the idea that Chris knows and just doesn't care. Buck is cool to him either way, but why rain on his parade, y'know?

Maddie kinda fills the Gus role; she thinks he's being stupid but she also really doesn't want her brother to get arrested for lying to the authorities. She could fully be part of the Psych agency, but I think it would be better if she still works at the dispatch center and occasionally helps out by giving Buck information he wouldn't normally have. (Eddie occasionally also gets a turn at being Gus, once he starts warming up to Buck more.)

However, I think it would be hilarious if Ravi did work at the Psych agency with Buck. He's kinda 50/50 on the psychic thing at any given time (maybe gets told the truth before Eddie even does) but thinks the pay is good enough and Buck is entertaining enough to stick around. (May might also do a stint working there as an intern for kicks.)

Hen, Chim, and Bobby are kind of along for the ride. Bobby is skeptical but every now and then there are moments where he's just completely baffled by the things Buck miraculously knows; meets him through Athena, getting help on a fire that didn't feel quite accidental to him but couldn't quite be proven as arson. Chimney fully buys the psychic thing and is constantly trying to use his abilities for random things. Hen is pretty 50/50 but finds Buck entertaining enough to not be on his case like Eddie, plus Karen wants to study him for science and who is she to crush her wife's dreams like that?

Back to Buck, he's just kinda trying to avoid being arrested in the beginning; his reason for his insane abilities stems from (drum roll please) child neglect! Constantly being on high alert for things that could upset his parents that majorly honed his observation skills turned into a fun party trick to impress girls. His life experience of traveling around also gave him a wide variety of knowledge and talents (the same with his internet addiction).

Then, his very own found family starts forming around him for the first time and it's so beautiful. I feel like no one else could get the 'I'm good at what I do and what I do is good' more than Evan Buckley.

Max Verstappen: starting off strong here with my favourite guy of all time. He's Inevitable™. He's fast. He's amazing. He's sweet and blunt and gorgeous and I want everything good for him. He's phenomenal, he moves me, he makes it's so easy to root for him and yet, it's incredibly taxing to be a fan given the British bias in F1 journalism and the fandom, not to mention FIA occasionally losing it's goddamn mind.

Sergio 'Checo' Perez: I'm actually so fond of him. His recent performances leave more to desired, I know, but fuck if he isn't the funniest mf around. Also it's simply a matter of time when he gets back in form [the bias is STRONG here I'm aware]. Also he's an extremely good second driver because I for one think he knows how to handle a team built around his teammate. I don't think any other driver on the current grid would have gelled with Max and Red Bull's structure [and strategy to win] the way Checo has.

Ferrari

Charles Leclerc: Il Predestinato. Saint Leclerc. Curse bearer and curse breaker. He's made to be a dream. He can make the hopeless hope. I know I said Max is generational talent but we're quite lucky to be in this era where we have not one, but TWO generational talents because Charles..... this guy..... you have to be blind to not see the sheer talent and insanity this man holds. Ferrari get your shit together istg. I need a Verstappen - Leclerc WDC fight. IT WILL BE GLORIOUS.

Carlos Sainz: *cough* ok, so, I wanna start off by saying I do think he's a chill guy off-track, ok? I really do think that. He's funny, quick, hot [ofc]. As a driver though. I just. He's good --not as good as F1 media wanted you to believe after his win in Australia and the circumstances surrounding it [WDC material??? Any GP winner now is considered WDC material??? ok]-- but he whines A LOT and I would actually prefer if his aggressiveness on track is directed less at his own teammate and more on their opposition? That would be cool. Plus sometimes he forgets it's not 'yippee we are all friends haha' all the time and inevitably fires up when someone serves cunt on track and he's bearing the brunt of it. I call it the Mclaren syndrome if anyone is interested.

George Russell: HES SUCH A HILARIOUS DIVA!!!! WHO DOESNT LOVE THIS GUY?? He's so entertaining and fun and he is a very good driver! I feel like we still have yet to see all he can achieve and I am very excited to see what happens next.

Lewis Hamilton: Legend. I truly have nothing else to add. Forget his fanbase, forget his tunnel vision when it comes to winning [and this applies to almost every driver, most of all my favourite ones lol], he's seven time world champion for a reason. Since we're asking for my opinions here though, I'll tell you this: anytime he wins I'm happy enough to see it [though I will forever want to see my favs on P1], any time he doesn't I don't care much, if he has a bad race I will give it less notice- basically, he exists in the periphery of my vision. I have been in awe of him for years and admire him but I cannot call myself a fan. One thing I can't help but obsess over is how cunty and unapologetic he is [which is also something that I love about Max].

Alpine

Esteban Ocon: He's a good driver, he's grinded hard to be here in F1 and I love to see it. Also, he's geek! In my books, that's always a plus.

Pierre Gasly: He's actually one of the most unremarkable drivers on the grid currently. Like there's nothing wrong with him and every time he pops up in interviews or whatever he's fun to see but that's about it? Honestly he seems like a cool guy, a driver okay enough but doesn't stand out much to me in anyway skdjhsjd

Sauber

Valtteri Bottas: THE MOST UNDERRATED DRIVER EVER MAYBE????? I love this dude and I'm hoping he can get something better than the tractor he has this season, as unlikely as it is.

Zhou Guanyu: Again, he's a nice enough driver and I really enjoy his vibe but he's crawling on the track in the tractor Sauber cooked up and I don't really know what to think of him beyond what I have stated.

Aston Martin

Fernando Alonso: Anyone who has a problem with Mr. Alonso has a problem with me. This is a strict Alonso Stan account, I do not take criticism and idc what anyone else has to say about him. He's a legend, he's an icon, he's the spirit of F1. I'm quite literally obsessed with him. You know what. Max is the Only One for me BUT if Fernando happened to win a 3rd title........... Alex Albon: infatuated with his billion dollar smile. Now that that's out of the way let me also just say HES SUNLIGHT INCARNATE, also I COULD LISTEN TO HIM YAP FOREVER. Idk I'm actually really happy for him because he seems to be flourishing at Williams and I mean this in the best way possible: he shines at a midfield team. [Also, note me saying he's sunshine doesn't negate just how fucking sly & sassy he can be. I adore that about him.]

Franco Colapinto: MY BELOVED. I perk up like a sunflower under the sun when I see him. He's such an intriguing driver. I detect hints of track terrorism abilities brewing here and cannot wait to see more of it. Also! He's so refreshing to listen to. I know like 80 percent of the grid is no-nonsense and transparent but man idk how to say this. He's a fucking comedian. Not a thought that has any sort of filter at all in that pretty little head of his. Just. No PR training at all here.

Logan Sargent: This boy. He did not deserve even a smidgen of what he had to tolerate. I actually detest the collective treatment from the fandom and his own fucking team that he had to constantly weather. I hope whatever racing division he advances to, he fucking demolishes. unfortunately my memory sucks and i saw it over a week ago at this point so i'll try my best 😅

i was sitting in row N so closer to the back and there were two people with ipads taking notes on things to change which was cool because im nosy. however, they didn't make a lot of notations and from what i could read, it mostly had to do with lighting so i don't expect much to change when i go see it again in a few weeks.

i love jamie's work and have seen his productions before but was still taken aback by the darkness at the beginning of the play. you can see tom on the screens (i loved the usage of cameras and screens so they could have full use of the theater) as he's backstage and the heavy breathing put me on edge because i was like

then tom sat at the front of the stage and cried and because he is also such a pretty crier and maybe that's my own weird kink i had the biggest smile on my face. however, the girls in front of me were about to cry with him 😂 tell me this didnt do something for you!

but when fran came out, the people around me sat up. she's phenomenal and i want more people to talk about her performance because she's the star of the show. the way she delivers her lines is so funny and they have a great balance of making it feel current while delivering the original iambic penameter.

then as soon as fran and tom came face to face, the audience audibly reacted. not loud enough to be distracting but enough that you know they were into it. i was in love

lots of shakespeare stuff happened, tom took off that sweatshirt and came out in that vest and multiple people gasped. you can see his abs through the shirt 🫠 and when the nurse squeezes his arm and basically says juliet i get it, that line got a huge laugh. my internal monologue was just

this is a married man this is a married man this is a married man

and then intermission came and i talked to the people around me and this was the conversation

somehow we made it to the end of the play and i'll be honest, the second half is my least favorite part of the play so it was also my least favorite to watch. i love how silly and romantic the first half can be and the second half is more doom and gloom. i will say, when this exchange happens

my friend and i audibly said "oop" and that got laughs in our section. the best thing about this play was their delivery and when i read r&j, i couldve never imagined how much fun it could be coming from jamie.

anyway, at the end, we rushed out to the stage door and it was insane to see how the street cleared when tom left. and security was the best. really such sweet guys and if you see them being mean to people, they spend the whole time giving instruction is the friendliest way so those people deserved it.

first off i am compelled to join the fanclub for ticket booking privilege. i was fairly far away and it was still incredible but the whole time i really to see these people’s faces with my bare eyes yk. they did ride their choo choo train around the poor people seats too, which was STILL kinda far away but i had a clear view of for example san’s face and i was just like jesus christ. you just walk around looking like that. maniac

related to that point, i’m surprised by how normal it feels to see them. sometimes watching idols just on your phone at home you get really starstruck and feel like they’re superstars but both times i’ve seen them irl i felt like. these are just a couple of guys. not in a disappointing way but when i see them physically, even though im screaming and squealing im just like “these are my little guys and they’re doing a great job singing and dancing” rather than “these are untouchable superstars”, which is not a bad thing really.

hype as fuck, talented beautiful MY ATEEZ, good atmosphere. i hear it was less rowdy than the eu dates but i still liked it. you do feed off the energy of the people around you and i was next to a french girl who was talking to her camera and singing and dancing, and two korean girls who kept gasping and yelping whenever something especially sexy came up on screen. good seatmates

main takeaway is mingi is the coolest fucking person on earth. just energetic powerful charismatic sexy charming infectious funny. i’m not biased but definitely made the biggest impact on me, at this point in time i think he’s the strongest live performer out of all of them. he really loses himself in the moment and so clearly has FUN and is in his element, he looks like he was born for this. very very very cool guy. spent a lot of time just flirting with atinys, telling us to MAKE SOME NOISE knowing we’ll scream our lungs out every time, really cocky and funny. also said make some FUCKING noise one time and i went WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHGG as you do

also yeosang kind of surprised me. he was very self-assured and his presence is larger than it usually comes across. might be the difference in watching a full concert or his style has changed somewhat, couldn’t tell you. he was funny too, made people laugh a lot. when they were giving their ending speeches/thanks he was speaking so gently and sweetly and some atiny from the second floor just BELTS just screams like she’s being attacked YEOSANG SARANGHAAAAAEEEEEEEEE so every single person in the stadium hears it and he takes a perfect beat and then says “thank you.” and keeps talking. silky soft honey voice, very very beautiful, amazing styling, graceful gentle appearance. also it’s hilarious that they zoom in on his ass during its you

seonghwa is very dazzling to me i’ve realized. we all i think react to different members in different ways and to me every time i see him im going HOOOOO taking off my cowboy hat holding it to my chest eyes downturned in humility. one time they’re talking to each other in between songs and im making an effort to follow the conversation as best i can and it cuts to seonghwa and i go OOOOOOOOOOH and 10 seconds later i realize i haven’t heard a word he said. obviously very striking, skilled, passionate, lovely. the sword part of wonderland never really hit for me watching videos but when i was there our whole row while he was swinging it around were going whoooo! woww! cool! love love loved matz even though i don’t personally care for that song he and hj are so insanely cool in it and everyone’s chanting GO GO GO GO, and everything’s dark red and orange

yunho is very agile and quick, you can tell just watching him dance on video but live it’s like holy fuck he’s moving. him and mingi are crazy to watch cause they’re physically so big they look like they should not be able to move that smoothly and that quickly, it’s like an optical illusion. he got a lot of love for his birthday, at the end of youth mingi directed us to sing happy birthday to him, it was really cute. and there was a whole birthday thing at the end where the members + crowd sang the whole thing for him and he used seonghwa’s sword to cut a cake graphic on the screen. he looked really happy and like he was enjoying himself a lot, i liked watching him. also just intimidatingly technically skilled at basically everything he does

hongjoong is hongjoong, i think he’s the sickest person in the world i love him so much. love his swag and expressions and nasality, always so so fun to watch. he’s ridiculously doll face pretty but also his swag is so different and his bitch is too bad.

the worst part about san is he looks like that in real life. as i said i got a good look at him on the choo choo train and im pretty sure it depleted some of my hit points. so powerful as a performer as well, hits so hard. sometime in the beginning he’s being dragged away by government agents or ghosts or something and it’s a great shot of his body and the korean girls next to me go WAOOOOOOOOOOW and they emphatically make hand signs like an inverted triangle at each other (like, the shape of his upper body). when they were in street clothes i saw one of them far away from the side and im like, huh who’s that, and then he turns his back towards my side and i go ah, it’s the shoulders guy. he’s a killerrrr but the one thing is his performance feels less personal to me these days. like im drawn to performers who put a lot of personality and for lack of a better word, their whole pussy into it (that’s why i love ateez in the first place) but he feels a little distant to me at times? don’t know if it’s a me thing

jongho is also always fun to watch just as a person. he’s very deadpan and borderline mean in his humor, he’s a cool guy. amazing vocal performance today. usually the moments that would have every one of us screaming would be a very slutty body roll or a crazy jongho note. i think he actually added some new ones that weren’t there just to prove a point? love that guy. AND him and wooyoung did the card thing again in arriba, it’s hot af and it’s rare for jh to play into fanservice in that way so i love it. was obsessed with it even when i saw it from copenhagen

MY WOOYOUNG very handsome. looked so good every single time the camera found him. for his killing part in bouncy (k-hot chilli peppers) he did the whole thing where he claps swings his hands around and claps again while smirking all sexy which is important to ME cause when i first got into ateez that part (and him in the mv) is what really killed me dead. i imprinted on it at a vital developmental stage and now we’re here. and my thoughts rn is he shines so hard he’s SO GOOD when he has that space to be just cocky and impish and seductive and fun. for me honestly recently im missing a bit of that from ateez songs, i need him to have the space to do all that cause hes so soooo good when he has it. he kills me dead

could talk about the songs so much but this is already too long. i will say even though i don’t usually care for Enough, it’s just too sentimental for me, i was crying during that song lol. in that moment it was emotional in the right way for me and really special to belt GOD DAMN with them. they got me that time

i was kind of prepared for it but wow not a lot of koreans there. even a lot of the asian ppl were from different countries. and way more europeans than americans i think? i’d have thought it’d be more even.

Chapter 14 awaits! Let's go go go!!! As ever, gameplay thoughts first and then story thoughts below the cut. Which means...first off, disappointment!

Up until 13-5 instead of new mechanics you're dealing with Londinium Second Defence Artillery again, my least favorite arc 2 mechanic! At least I have a lot of practice dealing with it now. It was just kinda disappointing to see it come back...in my head I know it allows for a few interesting ways to handle things as you deliberately cause blue-on-blue incidents (for them) but I've never liked how it seems like the targeting can switch last second because a single scrimblo touched your defender. Once past that though we get a new mechanic, centered around these guys:

Bloodborn Spawn and Blood Ambers are hilariously tuned to be countered by Hoederer exactly. But enjoyably there's a bunch of ways past them. For those not familiar, the spawn deal arts damage and lifesteal; they also deal increased damage the more of them a single target is blocking. That makes them really good at chewing through defenders and really awful at fighting Crushers exactly; their enormous HP pools mean they're the best at tanking these guys. When defeated, Spawn turn into Ambers, which have enormous defences (3k Def, 90 Res) and negative taunt. If they're within the range of a Bloodcalling Altar, they'll die and spawn a Bloodborn Spawn at the altar when it activates its skill (every 20 seconds). So, many stages revolve around managing this endless tide of respawning arts-damage scrubs. And enjoyably, there's a ton of ways to deal with them! Some examples: - Hoederer's True damage to burn down Ambers - Virtuosa S3 to necrosis-> True damage Ambers - Ceobe S2 Mod3; with 3k defence she does enormous damage to Ambers - Manticore + Ascalon, who can infinitely stall the respawning horde - Pushers or Pullers to shove Spawn into holes, preventing respawning And I'm sure there's more. This was also the first episode I played entirely on its Hard (Adverse) mode, and it was a fun experience, with only 2 or 3 stages (13-5,13-15,13-21) giving me enough trouble that I felt the need to refer to a guide for ideas. The TF2 bomb-pushing mechanic is incredibly funny ('so then I rammed a VBIED into him') and gives Marksmen a day in the sun as the game's gradually inflating defences slowly leaves them behind. I suspect Exusiai would actually be good at killing phase 2 of the episode boss, if you could time it so her skill activates after a bomb hits him. The other new enemies are interesting enough; special mention to the Fluxcaster, which slowly grinds down my Ambusher Stall strat; and the Boneguard Torturer, who gets you thinking about splitting enemies up or using truly insane numbers of DPS. The Welfare op, Delphine, is cool and one of the few I've leveled, though I'm a known Mystic Caster partisan. I wish her last talent was just an anti-sarkaz one instead of a chapter 13 only one, but alas. Her animations and art are great though, 6* levels of glam on a free 5*. On to the story below the cut. Spoilers abound!

There's a lot that happens in this one, so much that it's kinda hard to pull out a specific overarching thread - it's an ensemble story alright - but I'm gonna be my boring self and start with the milhist portion. Which is, the Victorian Dukes get owned. This whole chapter is a gradually escalating military disaster that will be taught in Columbian war colleges to illustrate the perils of divided command.

For four goddamn years the Dukes have been locked in a stalemate with the KMC and each other. In that time they failed to stop enemy resupply, they failed to exert tactical and strategic pressure on their foe, and they failed to even begin to understand their opponent's strategic and political goals. In the earlier conversations the dukes and their staff are focused mostly on their future wars with each other, not the present war with the Sarkaz. They underestimated their foe and they paid dearly for it; because they gave Theresis time, time enough to build an airship that could blow them up at his leisure, time enough to construct the Shard, time enough to organize and then transport the Nachzeherer Legions via the Lifebone. This isn't actually unrealistic, imo, there are plenty of people IRL who have been way dumber - look up the battle of Bien Dien Phu. But it's striking how much their political infighting cripples them. Even with Caster's intelligence network penetrating Londinium, the Victorian Dukes didn't grasp that Theresis was going to go on the offensive and had the capability to do so. They didn't manage to find the Lifebone and its logistic network before an entire legion had appeared past their interdiction. They didn't even grasp the tactics of the Sarkaz military, until after Theresis's offensive started. The time factor is also truly unforgiveable when you keep in mind a remark that 75% of their armies are conscripts. For people who aren't huge nerds, that means they've been redlining their economies to support field armies full of workers who go and sit in trenches and stare at the Sarkaz while fields and factories go untended back home. For four years! Meanwhile Theresis has been conserving his strength, and only pulls a full mobilization of his best soldiers from Kazdel when he's ready for the decisive moment. And when that decisive moment comes at the end of the chapter, he commits all his forces in a singular thrust. If the Victorian Dukes had done the same at any point in the preceding four years, they'd have taken heavy losses, they may have lost their lives to the next duke to roll in - but they'd been able to win, instead of ceding the strategic initiative to Theresis and letting him choose to fight only when he's sure he can succeed.

They should have listened to Windmere. Anyways, on to other things - the Lifebone!

I love The Lifebone. It's kinda funny how each arc 2 chapter seems to have Theresis get a new mystical superweapon, but in a fun break from pattern the focus for this chapter is... a logistics vessel! It's weird and fantastical and somebody cared about logistics, I love it. Skeleton whale that dives through history to teleport cargo? fuck yeah. Other story bits... It's cool to see Siege step up and become a leader, though it's kinda sad to see the Self-Salvation Corps implode to make room for her to do so. Still, the Exemplars are cool and it's nice to see them fight. I like Amiya's final showdown with the Sanguinarch:

That's our king! She's very fierce!!

I also love the Logos Trans moment ('I thought all banshees were supposed to be girls?' 'correct.' 'oh ok'). But don't forget that in the same scene, Logos flashes back to the first time he used his bone whistle to mark a passing - for himself, and for the old identity of the Sarkaz, just before he left home. Symbolism!

The lives of the Brentwood civilians under occupation, and the Sarkaz officer's attempts to make it better, really ring to historical incidents for me. Alas, the KMC was not aiming for occupation so much as annihilation. The Reunion stuff this chapter was good to see too, their focus on being an all-hands liberation movement really gets to the core of the story past all the wizard nonsense. Not sure what Nowell's doing with them, I guess we'll deal with him later.

So one thing about Canon LMK I find absolutely hilarious is the fact Ruyi Jingu Bang was quite literally found in some rundown alley. Like, the opening scene of the first episode shows how Sun Wukong used it to seal DBK underground and how the Megapolis was built around it, and based on all the various merch seen in background and such Sun Wukong is a very popular character in the city. Yet his famous staff is just... sitting there. In some alleyway. Like it isn't the most famous treasure he owns and the reason their city could even be built!

Not only that, but we then get to see another city with a similar treasure of Wukong's in Lantern City. The absolute difference between how they treat the Ring of Samhadi that Wukong hadn't even intended to gift them and how Megapolis treats Ruyi Jingu Bang is absolutely insane! They literally gave festival's held for the ring, they built a shrine for it! Yet Ruyi Jingu Bang gets and alleyway and a peach tree

Yeah thats kinda odd...

Compare to where; The Monkey King's literal Golden Staff sealing a giant demon in Megapolis was kept vs some hot glowy ring he dropped in a hole;

My first thoughts were that maybe it was a case of hiding in plain site; SWK could have bought the area and pretended it was under construction forever so nobody would ask questions. But MK, PIF and Red Son just sorta walk in there, no magical barriers present. One stray urbex explorer could have found the Staff and circulated what they saw online.

Like, the Staff is stuck in what appears to be the remnants of a hill or mountain. Wouldn't it make more sense for the people nearby to turn the surrounding area into a city park/shrine?

I've been to parks/botanical gardens in Singapore before that had shrines and statues to different gods. They were pretty beautiful and tended to be in small alcoves just off the path. It would be easy for SWK or a city planner to be like; "Oh yeah thats a cool-looking staff. We can build a little shrine around it and say it's a recreation of the Ruyi Jingu Bang. Tourists will love it." (now my hc for what the Staff do be looking like at the start of the TMKATI au)

More confusingly for me though; is why the "Ring of Light", the literal treasure and power source of Lantern City, was the top prize in a talent contest?? Thats not something you just *give* someone like the Stanley Cup!

It would have been funny if when the Monkie Kid gang actually won the contest, they quickly find that the Ring of Light they got was a trophy replica. ("You honestly thought we'd give you the real Ring of Light for song?! No!! Thats our city's relic! Gtfo!") Then Tang's background mission would have had a much bigger payoff.

Also idea for a gag where trophy ring(s) is used to fakeout whoever wants the Rings of Samadhi. XD

Fun fact, the location of where the Ring was being kept occording to the Lego sets is apparently a hotel called the "Lotus Hotel". While in the show it was a large suspended lantern.

Making think of *another* infamous (lotus-themed) light relic associated with chinese folklore that SWK could have buried there...

Who are your FIVE favorite Bloodborne characters and also why? (Yes sorry there are three more to choose from besides Micolash and Laurence 😞)

1. Micolash (to nobody’s surprise)

He was actually not the first bloodborne boss fight I ever saw, but his fight captivated me nonetheless. His design is just so COOL. I can’t get over it. I always saw him as a gigantic meme but then I got into the lore more and realized wow, this character has a lot to him! Medical malpractice, insanity, possible regret, you name it! I always thought his contrast against what I’d heard of Laurence was interesting too, and now that I’m deep in the trenches it just gets better haha.

2. Rom (okay this might be a bit surprising)

As much as I draw other characters, Rom is super close to my heart. Im not the sharpest crayon in the box(and never have been) so her character is very endearing to me: I see her as having been the sort of person who yearns to be useful. To be good at something. Everyone could reassure her that “you don’t have to be smart or talented, you’re kind!” But when you’re surrounded by the extraordinary, the bar of “decent person” just doesn’t cut it. I think she ascended in an attempt to fix this, to be “special” like her peers, and not the sometimes-funny airheaded woman she thinks they take her to be. Also, her design is just very cool x,D

3. Laurence

His character has a lot of sides, which is ironic since he is a dlc boss and has maybe 4 lines of dialogue total lmao. I think that he had good intentions that rotted under the weight of his leadership, and he’s definitely super fun to work with on his own even outside of other character dynamics. If he’s manipulative and bordering on cruel, why is he like that? If he’s sweet but just misguided, why didn’t he give up on the blood before it blew up in his face? Should we feel bad for him? Should we feel angry? There’s a lot to think about- he’s a fun character to both design and interpret!

4. Caryll

I love Caryll’s entire concept, and the Caryll-rune system is particularly interesting to me. I like how many sides there can be to this character! I’ve always been one to heavily reference lore, but not tie myself down to it, so I just like their general vibe and the possibilities of their placement in the story. I’m sure if I stuck to the lore religiously I’d actually like them a bit less, since to me, the mystery around them is a big part of the character! I like to imagine their relations with the others too :)

5. Edgar

This was really hard to pick between him and Damian tbh, I put them at about the same level. Edgar is very flexible as a character but he has solid lore points that can’t be easily ignored, which I really appreciate! His possible dynamic with Micolash is always super interesting and I love the juxtaposition of a very accountant-coded character lugging around Ludwig’s Holy Blade with the full intention to punt you into the moon. As for Damian, I just have a particular soft spot for characters that are “right-hands” to a leader, left to mourn or act in their absence. The coolheaded assistant type has always been appealing to me, and I like that both of them have a very short presence in game but the fandom has widely made them bigger players!

first maybe a disclaimer that I'm a rather casual player and me and my friends usually play pretty loose with the rules, also half of our rulebooks are in english and the others are in german so we're constantly chaotically translating things too (which I will be doing here as well) just so you know that I don't really know that much about DnD actually

so her name is Esvele Falbdrache, the last name translates as Paledragon or something like that

and like my ideas for her backstory and stuff are pretty disorganized and not all fixed, they just sort of end up crystallizing when it comes up in playing so I'm just going to ramble about a lot of things and you can ask if you want to know something else or want me to elaborate further on something

so to start, she's a ranger and currently level 13, we've played curse of strahd with her and are currently in an adventure that my friend wrote herself that also uses some elements of baldur's gate because she's a fan of that. she's got pretty high stats overall cause I was very lucky rolling the dice, her highest are wisdom and dexterity though, and her lowest is intelligence which makes for a fun combination. my favourite thing about her is that she's got some fey ancestry and is a fey wanderer because of that so she's insanely charming, she's got a wisdom boost on all charm talents, and some pretty cool spells and a dancing shadow. she recently gained the spell of summoning little fey spirits too which is so cool too, and she's got misty step and is super good at being sneaky so that's really helpful. She's chaotic good and really impulsive so she will often just start fights if there's an injustice though. in curse of strahd she got the sun-sword? which we just call the lightswitch because it can emit daylight which is her main weapon. she's got an ex-girlfriend who's a werecat, dead parents and trauma from that but she doesn't talk about that (aka I didn't know enough lore at first to create a cohesive backstory and never got around to it). she's very much a wandering spirit. on the topic of girlfriends, she's a lesbian but kind of useless about it (all of our characters are, trying to romance someone but failing is like the sidequest for us and we are also all so bad at playing flirting and tend to end up in giggles on the floor), though recently we've had a new character played by our DM's brother join us who (the character) is a very sleazy guy who keeps trying to get people to model for his magazine and she's had a bit more success at being charming enough to get people away from him and also beat him at a beauty contest out of spite (and actually also because I decided she was wearing Romana's Meglos outfit for that which our DM loved). she did recently get nearly turned into a vampire because she just followed a pretty woman without thought though. she also has a bit of a loose thing with Esmeralda from curse of strahd. another fun thing is that in our most recent session (like two months ago rip we've been busy) Esvele became a quasi-goddess. we'd planned to just sort of trick these people into helping us but with a combination of a 20, some spells and the bit of fey charm that kind of got a lot bigger, so now she has some protection-based boosts too. don't let that trick you though she is still very cringefail. she's an alcoholic too, i think I haven't said that yet, she and our cleric always carry around flasks of some vile brew and get drunk when something bad happens. we've had some very funny fails as a result of that

uh yeah that's pretty much it? like i said you can ask questions if you want, either I'll have an answer or I'll make something up which is how most of this came together in playing anyways

HI. the ask was broken for me for some reason so I couldn't properly respond to it so I just posted a screenshot instead. Also, for reference, Chorble goes by they/it! I get the confusion though because I go by all pronouns myself ^_^ I'll gladly answer all of these !!

Why did they come to Sņaktooth?

Chorble's whole deal is that they have strong identity issues and problems with relationships, and they believed that being in some sort of community would fix that. They've tried very hard on mainland, but they have always messed up one way or another. Chorble was already online mutuals with Beffiċa before Snaktooth (though they hardly chatted much) and saw her post about "vacationing" and Chorble inquired about that, and that got them in. They additionally believed that the bu/gsnaks could provide them some energy or motivation to be the best version of themself they can be.

How'd they meet Snօrpy?

Him and Chorble didn't quite. Start off with the greatest terms. Their first interaction was Snօrpy attempting to disingenuously hug Chorb in order to sneak a tracking device onto them, but Chorble wasn't one for hugs from strangers, rejected it, and thought he was a weirdo. In turn, Snօrpy noticed that he did not see Chorble as much as he did the other Snakxburg residents and believed that they were up to something malicious. Additionally, he was aware that they were taking some of his creations. Chorble does thief from Snօrpy quite a bit because they think that his inventions are cool and useful but doesn't want to confront him about it so they just snag it from the millhouse instead. I'd like to point out that it's a bit humorous that they're both recluses yet believed that the other was strange for Pretty much the same thing.

Their relationship slowly shifted into more of a positive one when Chorble couldn't figure out how to use one of Snօrpy's thingamabobs and spontaneously mustered up the courage to ask him about it. It was meant to be a no-strings-attached sort of thing, but Chorble sorta just made somewhat truthful compliments towards Snօrpy in order to make them look somewhat good despite everything ("You know, I think you're really talented with this stuff"/"Wow.. smart." kinda things). Then Snօrpy, being filled with some sort of pride because of it, offered to show Chorble a few more things of his, and Chorble reluctantly accepted to get on his good side. But then they realized they really enjoyed being around each other and months later they make out

This probably sounds a little schlocky, my bad !! I'm still trying to figure out how to smoothly transition things out ! Also fun fact this is based off of the real life happenings where I used to constantly bully and make fun of Snօrpy because it was funny but then slowly began to fall in love with him. Friends of mine who witnessed this transition think I'm insane

Have they gone on any dates there?

While it would be fun, I like to imagine that their proper romantic relationship started after Snaxťooth. They did have lots of hangouts there I will say !! Sugarpıne Woods is such a sweet bonding spot. The foundations of their relationship did begin on the island so I should credit it for a lot.

Has Chorble made any friends?

As mentioned before, they were online mutuals with Beffiċa and their bond strengthened on the island as they began to talk more and participate in their hobbies together. Other than that, they had a difficult time making friends on their own, so there wasn't a lot. They were particularly interested in Floof but they didn't quite have a mutual positive connection. They did look up to Lızbert, and she respected their presence and didn't mind that they weren't all that social.
