so I’ve been playing acnl for like two weeks now. it’s been super fun and I even figured out a trick to catching bugs on trees. but the thing that stands out to me the most. is that everyone is SO GODDAMN NICE. I’ve only interacted with two real people. one let me take whatever fruit I wanted from their town and then donated 50k bells to my bridge. the other one I just met on Club Tortimer and they GAVE ME A MILLION BELLS???? JUST OUT OF NOWHERE??? THEY DIDN’T EVEN WANT ANYTHING IN RETURN??? whoever said video games cause violence never experienced a total stranger wearing a halo and Hawaiian shirt run in circles, accidentally scare a moth you were trying to catch, and then giving you a million bells for no clear reason.

also if anyone wants to be friends my town kind of sucks right now but I have pears, peaches, bananas, lychee, and durian and weirdly good luck with rare bugs. like I’ve already caught three or four bird wings and just caught a golden stag and I haven’t been playing more than two weeks. my friend code is 2251-9734-0905. you can dm me your code if you don’t want it floating around the internet.

Any tips for being a suicidal 15 year old?

When I was a suicidal 15 year old everyone told me “it gets better”, and it sounded like bullshit. And frankly, it still sounds like bullshit. Like oh, what, I’m living in hell and you’re not gonna help me or *do* anything or give me any useful advice and I’m supposed to just hang in there on the nebulous, pithy promise that things are just gonna work out on their own? And you can’t tell me how or why, I’m just supposed to take it on the faith that I don’t have that something might change in ways I haven’t considered?

But yeah. It does. And it’s frustrating as hell.

Yes, things are gonna get better, and they’re gonna get better in ways I can’t describe even after experiencing it myself. Things you don’t even know CAN be different WILL be different. One day you’re just going to step outside and realize things got better somewhere and you didn’t even notice it happening.

And there’s really nothing I can say that makes that sound even a little bit believable.

I guess all I can tell you is that you have to want to believe it.

When Dean filches his brother's address from the registrar's office, he thinks it has to be a mistake. Sam couldn't afford to live here if he sold both kidneys. He couldn't afford to live here if he had a fucking kidney selling side hustle.

Breaking into this place is out of the question, so instead of sneaking in during the middle of the night, he shows up bright and early and gives the doorman his most charming grin. "I'm here for Sam Winchester."

"Is he expecting you?" he asks, bored.

Dean's smile doesn't dim. "Not exactly. I'm his brother."

That gets some life in the doorman's eyes and he checks his computer. "Dean Winchester?"

What the fuck. Apparently Sam does live here. "Got it in one."

"Right this way, sir," he says gesturing to an elevator with no buttons that opens for him. "It will take you directly to the penthouse."

The penthouse? The penthouse?

He'd going to get Sam to help him find Dad, but first things first he's going to shake Sam until some answers fall out, because what the hell.

He takes the elevator up and walks cautiously into some sort of entry room. He has to resist the urge to walk though gun first, the place all smooth lines and chrome and dark colors. It's freaking him out.

The kitchen is even more chrome and black cabinets and black tiled floors, but there's also his little brother, standing there shirtless in black silk pants and fiddling with what he thinks is an espresso machine. "Sam?"

He turns quickly, eyes widening in surprise. "Dean? What are you doing here?"

"What am I doing here?" he scoffs. "What are you doing here?"

Sam stares. "I... live here?"

"Here?" he repeats. "Here?"

His little brother is rolling his eyes, as if he's the one being ridiculous and not perfectly reasonable.

There's the sound of someone walking and an admittedly drop dead gorgeous red head turns the corner, a black silk robe open and revealing matching lace panties and bra. She gasps, fluttering her hands over her mass of curly hair. "Oh, Samuel! You didn't tell me we had company!"

She doesn't make any effort to close her robe.

Sam rolls his eyes. "As if you didn't know he was coming. You should have told me we were having company."

"Yes, well, where's the fun in that?" she asks, grinning as she crosses the room over to Sam. She's so short that Sam has to practically bend in half to kiss her, and woah, what the hell?

Sure, she's hot, but she's a least a decade older than Sam. Probably closer to two. What the hell is going on here?

"Dean," Sam says, his hand on her waist. "This is my girlfriend, Rowena."

hot take but it’s incredibly hypocritical to tell people to get over steve and randy not being in the musical because they weren’t “important characters” but simultaneously turn around and bitch and moan that people don’t think ace and bev are real characters. you’re not better than anyone else just because “well I don’t get mad over the erasure of steve and randy because they weren’t important mmyes hmhmhm” like having a superiority complex the size of the fucking sun isn’t a flex 😭

(also biased opinion but steve and randy might not have had much screen time but they were still so so so important. randy was the one who broke through to ponyboy. randy was the one who carried on bob’s name and was able to tell the reader and pony the real reason behind bobs action. randy was the one who gave that heart to heart to ponyboy when he needed it. randy was marcia’s boyfriend. randy was bobs best friend. steve is soda’s best friend, but he’s so much more than that. he’s scared of cops but still ran over to dally with broken ribs just to try and save him. steve was the only one who cried when dally died, and he was the only one who cried when johnny died. steve’s pony’s frenemy, he’s great with cars and is the only one with a remotely healthy relationship. he fights alongside everyone else, he fights for his friends, he’s a part of the gang. the “they weren’t important to the story” thing is so stupid. it’s okay to not like them or whatever but don’t deny that they had a huge part in the story.)

Okay, so at first I thought Jaime didn't really care about fatherhood at all, but at a second thought I think he might? Sure, he's not dad of the year, and it's not like he craves having children with all his soul and is devastated that Joffrey died, but I believe maybe there's some part of him that wishes things had been different and he could've built his own family? I dunno. I'm not sure. He always says things as "I should('ve) do(ne) this or that", so it's never clear if he is talking about his own feelings or if he is guilty for not having such feelings... It could go both ways, I guess. 🤔
