Just like the Dream Team, I dragged the Sleepy Bois Inc into my Android Anima AU. I immediately thought of their roles because of the amount of clips or livestream I’ve seen them interacting from. I just found out that Tommy isn���t canonically Philza’s son, just Wilbur, so I made Tommy some sort of Wilbur’s gaurdian animatronic to Wilbur. XD I kinda wanna draw out Tommy and Technoblade interaction in this AU, Tommy is kinda like a newborn animatronic and Technoblade is his guidance, so there’s a lot of animatronic gaurdian training going on.

• Techno Guardian Animatronic of Philza Minecraft. He was created from the sister company know as Fazbear Entertainment and was tasked to protect Philza at all cost. Technoblade is a Security type Animatronic but slowly became a withered animatronic due to abandonment. The cause of the abandonment is due to malfunctions such as voices in his head and choatic acts of murder. • Philza A Human type A, Superior. Main Scientist of the Resource Management Project know as ‘Minecraft’. Main job is to send the necessary material to the Animatronic factories in order to create advance Animatronics. • Tommy First animatronic creation of Philza, he is the guardian animatronic of Wilbur. His behaviour is influence by Technoblade and Wilbur at his earliest stage of development. His emotional and intellectual AI development takes time, but slowly started to act as a normal choatic boy. • Wilbur Philza’s first and only son, Human type B, Hybrid. Originally, he was a Human type C, Moderin, but due to Philza’s accidental casualties of his experiment, he was forced to changed to Human type B. He is in charged of monitoring in the Minecraft Project, but thing escalated quickly when he wants to gain control.

I have an app called Romer and it helps me record on how long I’ve been drawing, painting and finishing it. I have been infected by your AU. As such, have thoughts.

The thing that catches Technoblade in the end is his empathy. That, more than anything, is what keeps him trapped.

He knows the others are androids. How could he not? He knows this. He knows everything about them, from their personality to their responses, is artificial. It's not real, it's an approximation of what would work best, an amalgamation of code and psychology all jumbled up in the most efficient attempts to make him stay. The guilt trips don't work, or at least they shouldn't, because there's nothing to hurt. No soul, no personality aside from what they manufactured.

But they do. They make him hesitate, every time. He knows ways to take out androids (all risky, hypothetical at best, but a chance), but they're the type of thing androids don't come back from. He can't take the thought of ToMM1's eyes blinking shut and never opening, the thought of PH1lZa's hurt and W1LbuR's bitter resignation when they realize the betrayal. (And really, that's assuming it works and there isn't something worse that comes of it. Failure is a specter of its own.)

He just. . . can't.

Because who is he to draw the line between artificial and true, between worth it and not, between person and tool.

Because really it can all be summed up in one line.

"I'm a person."

I'm going off of character Technoblade here and assuming his personality in the AU would be mostly the same. So he's the guy who tore down governments and thought they'd be fine, because all he could see were the people inside. The guy who stared down a kid who was supposed to be executed and saw just that. A kid, an ally, someone with friends and fears, not a threat. (Which in that moment Tubbo was, not in and of himself, but due to the circumstances around him. Tubbo was the linchpin which held Technoblade's life and the revolution on its back.) He's the one who fought so hard to be a person, only to never be believed. This is the man who knows how it feels to be a threat (The Blade) and how hard it is to be anything different when that's all you are to those around you.

And that's part of the tragedy here. Technoblade can't help but see them as real, as people. And they can't help but not.

Thanks to the programing, all they can ever see is a problem, a solution, a possession. Something to be protected, but only. Ever. Some. Thing.

While he can't help but see them as human, they can't help but see him as machine. A mess of inputs and outputs; made to be manipulated.

(As for possible AU names. . . Mechanisms of Captivity? Mechanisms of Trust? Machine AU? I don't know if any of these are what you were looking for, or if they'd work, but you asked.)

I've been thinking a lot about Techno in this AU, the sort of person he is.

I'm inclined to actually make him a bit younger. Think in the older teen ballpark (16-18 years old?). But very much still an anarchist. The thing about this AU is that even before the whole literal apocalypse started, it was basically a cyberpunk dystopia.

Through the advancement of technology and capitalism, as well as the environment being ruined and people's jobs being increasingly threatened by automatisation, the wealth gap has only become wider. The middle class is all but gone. There's only low income citizens struggling to get by (and often dying in the process) and the rich elite that rule everything living a cushy life full of luxury. Androids and robots are everywhere - service jobs, public transports, security, everywhere - but highly advanced androids with intelligence for personal purchase are really just a commodity for the rich.

Techno is an orphan, and he's been on the very bottom of this wretched society, trying to scrape by. An anarchist who hates the oppressive, controlling government, and hates androids by extension. He's a bit of a hacker (his bestie Skeppy even more so) and isn't unknown to the law system, though it's mostly petty crime, so him being a minor and his own resourcefulness has allowed him to stay out of real trouble. He's not upgraded to full on terrorism yet. Theft to get by, moving contraband around for money, sometimes street art or vandalism, that sort of thing.

(Maybe even a Robin Hood type vibe, steal from the rich give to the poor!)

But Techno has learned how to work around androids (again, security is mostly machine-based. Techno knows how to be tricky with them). And that's what saves his life when the killing machine apocalypse gets into full swing.

It's also another layer to his dislike for SBI. Techno is going to be even more hostile and distrustful towards them regardless of the apocalypse thing. And he knows androids are just machines, but it's hard when SBI are so humanlike...

And then again, they are the most advanced models ever. The bug has even further boosted their cognitive ability. At what point does one get personhood? At what point have these machines become people?

Dream SMP x Detroit: Become Human AU

DSMP x DBH AU Part 2

Background Information: I was inspired to do this after watching Tubbo's play-through of Detroit: Become Human. At first, I was planning on posting art with descriptions, but I'm over flowing with ideas and not enough artistic talent to hurry along...

Author's Note: Okay, I'm going to be completely honest. Both part 1 and part 2 are pretty much posted on impulse. I should be going to sleep because I have work in the morning, and I started on this post early with that thought in mind, but for some reason my computer is glitching... I've written this out almost three times T-T Everything was deleted at one point, with NOTHING SAVED, so I was nearly about to rage quit... Pray for me. My patience is not unlimited.

Aside from all that, please enjoy! I worked REALLY hard on this (even excluding all the technical issues) so I really do hope you enjoy!

Character Plots:

1. Technoblade

Technoblade, notoriously known as the rogue deviant, was always a mystery due to the fact that no one, not even CyberLife, knew what model android he was. This was due to the fact that Techno was actually not even an android, but a human. This all began at a young age of thirteen, when Techno started to question the set rules of society and how he fit into its rigid hierarchy. Although it was just a budding curiosity, one he didn’t expect to go anywhere, it soon took a drastic turn. After pretending to be an android, just for fun, he was appalled by how he was treated by his fellow humans. More so than the random civilians, he was more disgusted by the inaction of the police. As an act of rebellion for the present corruption of authority, he committed small acts of violence and destruction of public property. He promoted equality and spoke out against the tyrannical attitude of those in power. Due to him indiscriminately acting out against both humans and androids alike, fighting against anyone in power who became physical and bullied those weaker than them, public opinion slowly began to shift. He eventually went from a crazy anarchist to a modern-day robin hood, much to the government’s dismay. Even those that flocked to his side, joining his cause, were a good mix of both androids and humans. His growing popularity began to raise the urgency of his capture, making his name slowly climb up the Most Wanted list. Eventually, while on his many brushes and runs from the police, he met with Detective Kristin (before she was promoted to Lieutenant) and her android partner, Philza. After many encounters, Techno and Phil surprisingly became close friends. In fact, they became so inseparable that their relationship was more akin to family than just friends. Though Phil didn’t particularly condone Techno’s more violent methods, he still supported his cause from behind. Willing to dirty his hands and become the mole, Phil secretly fed Techno intel from classified files as well as supplying Techno with android fuel, aka. Blue Blood. It was only later that Techno revealed to Phil his human identity, Phil being the only one he ever disclosed that information to, but Phil swore to never reveal his secret. Besides, the fuel was necessary for Techno’s growing followers, eventually taking on the name of The Syndicate. Techno understood the reason Phil never openly supported him, even though the android was more than willing to. It was to protect his loved one, Kristin, who would eventually become his wife. Techno understood, even supported Phil, and worked harder to never be a burden to his closest friend. Suddenly, Techno’s reputation exploded when a video clip of him went viral on social media. Though the government tried to spin the story in their favor, the video captured the full extent of the event. Techno had fought off several CyberLife security officers and police forces, exhibiting exceptional fighting prowess, while also making off with a ton of android fuel. He and his team had tried to hijack the vehicle loaded with the goods mid-route but was caught and almost apprehended. However, the thing that raised his public opinion to his favor was not just his fighting capabilities, but also how little he endangered the civilians around him. Instead, it was the government officials who had unintentionally dragged innocent people into this chaotic fight, suspecting them to be on Techno’s side. Then, not long after his growing popularity, Techno and Dream teamed up, officially marking Technoblade’s name as number one on the FBI’s Most Wanted Fugitives list.

2. Dream

Clay, or better known as Dream, was once a star employee at CyberLife. He was actually one of the many brilliant minds that helped make CyberLife into the giant company that it is. However, Dream soon gave up his employment due to the many restrictions they had placed on his creative vigor. Instead, he pursued his own android business, taking on the name Dream for both branding purposes and to embody his own "dreams." Teaming up with fellow ex-employees, Sapnap and George, the three were an ambitious trio that were talented enough to eventually become a threat to CyberLife’s growing industry and monopoly over the android market. When Dream realized that his life was being targeted by CyberLife, even being threatened to either come back into their company or give up on his current business, he became more determined to grow his industry. This even propelled him to start designing his most prized creation, DreamXD. However, his unbending will soon began to falter. CyberLife took a different approach when they realized that Dream did not hold his life more dear than his company. They began to threaten not just his life but also the lives of his most trusted partners and friends. This finally forced Dream to worry, eventually driving his friends away. Dream knew Sapnap and George like the back of his hand. He knew that the two would stick by him, through thick and thin, so he didn’t even give them that choice. Instead, his attitude towards them got worse and worse, until they eventually cut all ties with him. That was the only way he believed he could protect them. However, Dream underestimated the effects his friends had on his mental stability. Eventually, without their presence, he became more insane from the combined pressure, stress, and loneliness. Soon, he realized that it was getting too dangerous to stay still and was forced into hiding. With little time, Dream only took the incomplete DreamXD with him and shook off those tailing him. Then, he left his most prized possession to his dear ex-partner and friend, George. Dream intentionally left DreamXD incomplete. He had created the android in his image and left him unfinished to gather experience and human emotions on his own. This was the only android in existence that had been designed not only to be a deviant, but to be a human. Even with high expectations for his own future, Dream never could shake off the feeling of death following close at his heels. DreamXD was created to be his contingency plan. In the event that Dream died before his goals were achieved, DreamXD was programmed to take over Dream’s human life, or the life of Clay. Of course, Dream knew that free will was a part of humanity. That’s why he left DreamXD with a choice. While forced into hiding by CyberLife, the company spread rumors about his capture and imprisonment. CyberLife hoped that it could lure out his loved ones, baiting Dream to come out of hiding, but they had underestimated him. They had failed to realize just how severely Dream had cut out all his friends and loved ones from his life, leaving no one behind. No one to look back for him, or so the two thought... Surprisingly, even on the run Dream was fairly rich. He had planned out many things in the event CyberLife truly carried out their threats, and hidden many resources to one day come back to. However, he could not leave the city. Not while his goal was still left unfinished. So this left him with no place to stay for long periods of time, leaving him essentially homeless. That’s when he reached out to Technoblade, whose infamy had grown exponentially. The two had similar goals and so easily agreed to a partnership. Technoblade wanted to take down the tyranny of the government, while Dream wanted to end CyberLife’s influence over the android market and quiet down his chaotic life. Since CyberLife was a large reason for the power corruption, the two found working together to be simple. Techno would help Dream by providing him a place to stay, as well as offering man power when available and needed. Dream, on the other hand, would assist with supplies and android repairs, using his expertise in androids to even upgrade their parts. However, outside of these agreements they wouldn’t get in one another's way. They would only provide assistance if their plans overlapped. The two had a good understanding of the nature of their relationship. They were neither friends nor enemies. Just partners. Nothing more, nothing less.

Note: I'm sorry, but after writing all this over again, nearly from scratch, three times... I really can't be bothered to go back and fix anything. Thinking about all those DSMP DBH AUs and my brain is just screeching “Technoblade the android and Ranboo the human, except everyone thinks Ranboo is the android and Techno the human because they seem the exact same so the younger looking one has to be the android/copy” this causes problems lmao

For anyone who hasn’t watched the show Humans, do it. I dare you. It is 18+ but it’s a phenomenal show.

Ranboo sighs, fingers playing idly with the strings on his hoody. It was chilly, the broken window letting in the fall draft. “Are you cold?” Techno says from across from him, eyes set on the outside. He shakes his head no, gaze moving up and down the other.

“Can I ask you a question?” He asks, sitting up straighter.

Techno hums, turning to face him. His bright red eyes blink owlishly at him. “Of course.” He nods to himself, so utterly casual. It’s kinda scary how someone like him could do such a thing, could act like that. Even after everything he’s done.

“You saved me from my parents, why?” At the question Techno stiffens, yet not a breath is shed. How could it? He can’t breathe.

Techno moves from where he’s standing, coming up right in front of him. He squats down, hands being placed on his knees. His hair sways in the wind that passes through, causing a shiver to run up his spine. “Because I wanted to.”

Ranboo sucks in a breath, hands stilling from there fidgeting. “But you can’t want.” He hisses, looking over the other. He finds Techno’s temple light with ease. The colour was a blaring red, like his eyes. “You weren’t built to.”

Techno frowns, raising a hand and placing it on his cheek. He couldn’t help but feel a little nervous about the unheated skin of the other. If he can even call it skin at all. “You weren’t born to be hit either, yet you were. I wasn’t built to want, or to feel, or to think for myself, yet here I am. Wanting.”

What was it like at first when Phil brought Ranboo back?

First of all, thank you for the ask! Second of all, how dare you make me elaborate what nonsense is happening in my head /lh. (I fully acknowledge I welcomed asks, this will not stop me from jokingly complaining)

For any new people seeing this the start of this au is in this post.

But anyway.

Me: I'm not going to write a fanfic

Also me: *writes 600 words of shitty fanfic for my first ask*

He was cold. He doesn't remember if he's felt this way before. He doesn't remember many things. His memory is full of holes, like a net. But his net is full of fish that also represent his memory and he can't keep them in and-

I've gotten off track

He was cold, the tips of his fingers were stained blue, his brain says he's bleeding. He doesn't see any red,  just blue, blue blue. On his fingers on his feet- he's cold, maybe that's what the blue means?

Yes, right, that's it. He's covered in blue due to the cold, he isn't bleeding, there's no red.

That's a lie, there is red. Reflected from a puddle, his own eye staring back.

A shadow falls across him, deeper than the ones already there. He doesn't know where he is, he knows it's cold. He doesn't register when he's picked up, he doesn't register him moving away from the dark.

He goes into stasis falls asleep.

He comes to awareness warm. He senses something is wrong with this, he doesn't care. He just wants to go back to sleep, the low voices-

Wait, voices?

He doesn't move, stopping his breathing as best he can. He tries to listen in.

"Phil, is that another kid?" This voice is monotone, slightly soothing. Still foreign, still not to be trusted.

"Yeah, he was out in an alleyway, Tech. Look at him, he looks like he just crawled out of the graveyard," this voice is lighter, more airy, quiet, trying to be trustworthy. Don't trust, don't trust, don't trust-

"You can't just bring in every kid you meet, Phil," The other voice sharply whispers, they aren't very good at whispering.

"Look at him," this one is said more forcefully, aggressively. Get up get up get up. Run run ru-

He bolts straight up in fear and tries to get off the... couch? He thinks that's the right word. Either way, he falls off and into the arms of someone who was clearly expecting this.

"Hey there, calm down mate," this is said by the aggressive voice, danger danger dan- red fills his eyes, fear, errors.

"Kid, calm down," this is the monotone voice, he looks... pink? His hair is pink. He isn't monotone anymore, he's assertive, he's giving an order.

Seemingly without his permission, his body calmed down. He froze, no movement. Don't upset the authority, follow orders.

"Techno! You can't just demand something of a kid. He's probably a new deviant, his base can't be too old of a model of android..." the aggressive(?) voice says. Wait, android? He knows that word, but it doesn't fit right, he isn't an android.

"I'm not an android," he whispers. Oh god why did he speak? Now they're looking at eachother, they're talking about him, they aren't saying words.

Level of stress: 89%

"Calm down mate, I made a mistake. Of course you aren't an android, I would know, Techno here is one," his voice is trustworthy again, not aggressive. Maybe he can trust them? Why is he not trusting them…

"Yeah, Phil probably said that because of your whole half white skin thing and, y'know," Techno's(?) skin seems to peel away, revealing a white... chassis? Yeah, that word seems right!

"Okay, I'm not an android, though," he says this with conviction. He would remember if he was an android, right?

"Yeah, we know, what's your name? I'm Phil, that's Techno," the aggressive trustworthy Phil says, gesturing to the other, whose skin covering up his chassis again.

"I don't remember," he says this quietly, why doesn't he remember, a name is important!

"That's okay, how about you stay here for the night? It didn't look like you had anywhere to go," Phil says calmly.

"Yeah kid, we can get your name when you remember," Techno says.

There's a pause.

"Okay," he whispers. He can trust them, right? They didn't get upset with him for speaking out of turn. They didn't demand anything of him, they gave him a choice. Stay, or go... he's staying, the decision was made.
