Anne of a Green Gables/Buddie au is finished, complete, done!! Didn’t think I’d ever get there but I have and now I present to you another epically long niche AU. Inspired this time by the ever lovely @lonelychicago quite a long time ago now.

It’s sweet and soft with fire family feels, love and hope, a bit of humor, a drop of angst and general pining. Here in AU land everyone lives and happily ever after is the way we roll. Give it a go 😉

Evan Buckley has lived in orphanages almost longer than he can remember. They tried to find a place for him more than once but it never quite worked out, now at almost 15 he’s given up hope of finding a home but then a letter arrived from Prince Edward’s Island saying that Mr & Mrs Robert Nash wanted a boy to come live with them.

Now he’s on his way to a new life in a place called Avonlea and he couldn’t be happier.

I have another historical au for avatrice because imagine

Beatrice as the daughter of the wealthiest family in town who own the biggest estate and supply almost half of the produce to the town, while Ava is an orphan who somehow made her way from Spain to this little town in england with no specific purpose but to survive (which is something that makes Beatrice admire her from the start).

Ava lives and hides in the barn for a couple of days before Beatrice finds her, but she’s so curious about Ava she manages to get Ava a job in the estate as a stable hand and helping with the harvest.

the thing is Beatrice’s deepest passion is learning languages, so much so that she’s willing to break every rule her parents have set to have Ava teach her spanish. They spend the better part of the late evening hiding away at the barn, with Beatrice sneaking pastries and candied fruits to Ava.

as a thank you, Beatrice is more than willing to answer each and every one of the questions Ava has about anything (when she doesn’t know the answer, she spends hours searching for it at her family’s library)

Previously, in a shock development, Enid Sinclair (Netflix Wednesday) turned heel and attacked her longtime friend Wednesday Addams (Netflix Wednesday) during the Money in the Bank press conference. During this episode of Fresh, Enid arrived to explain her actions.

Enid says that she was feeling threatened by the rise of the Goth Girl Alliance stable in NXTB. She went on to say that she attacked Wednesday as a message to the Alliance since Wednesday is the goth girl poster child. This is in spite of the fact that Wednesday isn’t a member of the group.

In addition, Enid felt that she needed to form her own group in order to deal with the Alliance. Enid’s group - which she named “The Preppy Woman Society” - will make their official debut in the next few weeks…

“She isn’t going.” Nani declared, crossing her arms.

“Of course she is.”

“Of course I am.” Anne said at the same time Luffy defended her.

“She’s never been on a ship.” Nani pressed on.

“But she has the heart.” Luffy insisted. “And that’s all that matters.”

Nani threw her hands up, giving up on that conversation. She knew there was no way to stop Luffy once he got an idea in his head.

Anne turned to Luffy, a grateful smile on her lips. “Thank you for this.”

“That’s not a problem. I know you can do this.”

Anne hardly ever doubted herself, but she did know there were limitations to what she could do and the opportunities she would be afforded as a girl. When Luffy accepted her in an instant and smiled at her like now, she felt as if she was already winning.

Luffy had a way with the people around him. It made them feel valued and protected. Anne had no doubt he would be the King of Pirates one day, if only because Luffy had the heart for it.

His smile did give her butterflies, but that was something else. That was something she’d handle on her own and Luffy didn’t need to know.

“Come on.” He grabbed her hand and pulled, full of enthusiasm. “Come see the ship and your new crew.” His smile was as big as the sun and just as shiny. “Now you’re a pirate.”

Oh… She was in trouble.

A peasant’s life in the woods knows dark places in the shade of trees and in the quiet of night between first and second sleep when the night insects have stopped their singing. In castle halls and city streets there are unending torch fires and the glowing embers of smith’s forge and baker’s oven. The city is a grid of guards and tower keeps until the last stone walls are reached. In summer there are fewer guards and fewer walls. A princess can slip out at night past sleeping handmaidens and creep into the woods, to the dark between trees and by brooks. Briar Rose does not fear the fairies that may creep by the space where water meets land. She was raised by fairies after all. The bramble that grows there calls to her with its sweet smelling namesake flowers of the five flat petals.

She was three heads taller than him already and a lifetime of wearing combat boots caused him to move stiffly. “And then right.” “Right,” said Strax. “No, left now.” “One two three, one two three, one two- what was that last number again?” The cylinder came to an end and Vastra went to lift the needle with a sigh. “We’ll get there eventually.” When she saw Jenny in the doorway, her whole face lit up. “Jenny, you’re back! Come, come, I was hoping to teach Strax to waltz. If he’s to be a guest at the ball he will have to practice. First we must overcome his challenge at keeping rhythm.” “Sontarans are very good at keeping rhythm,” said Strax, “We use it for our wartime battle chants. Sontar ha! Sontar ha!” “Is that so,” said Vastra dismissively as she slid the cylinder into its box and selected a second one. “Jenny, my love, would you like to demonstrate for Strax?” “Shall I take the lead then, ma’am?” said Jenny, walking to the center of the carpet. “You know I love it when you do,” said Vastra in a low voice, and then beamed with false innocence at her wife. She loved the bit where they got to go round the circle and Vastra’s skirt flew out. When it was done Vastra grinned breathlessly while Jenny gave a second curtsey. “Shall we have another go then?” asked Vastra. Jenny laughed and couldn’t help but indulge her wife. It wasn’t like they'd be dancing together at the ball anyway. If their investigation didn’t get in the way, Jenny would have to be lead by Tom, Strax, perhaps Tom's older brother, and then a suitor or two of Tom’s little sister. She would have to take a good look at the guests before letting just anyone fill her dance card. “Can we do the version we practiced for the wedding?” asked Jenny. “Of course my love,” smiled Vastra, resetting the needle. “Is this meant to be instructional anymore?” asked Strax, who had seen several versions of this dance. “You are dismissed Strax,” said Vastra as the music started. “Although? Could you bring up a pot of tea? I feel we will be in need of refreshments.” “Of course, Madame,” said Strax. As he left Jenny could hear him trying to count to the music, “One, two, two, two one, ah, wait…one, two…”

Buck hasn’t seen his sister for years. He still thinks about her, looks for signs of her in the reflection of his own face. The only friendly face he’s seen for years now.

The orphanage hadn’t been very fond of his appreciation of blossoms or bugs or flowers and certainly not the raccoon he’d tried to tame. They didn’t care for his love of words both written and spoken. In truth they didn’t much care for him. Madam in particular did not care for him one little bit. He purposely pushes away thoughts of then and there. This is now and here. This is a fresh start.

All that is behind him now. He’s been sent somewhere they actually want him. A home in Avonlea. A real home with people who want a son. Who want him. It sometimes seems too good to be true, the nervous excitement bubbling up inside him has had time to make him a little restless. He’s been waiting at the station for a while now but he remains confident that Mr Robert Nash will be along soon to collect him and take him to Green Gables. Buck actually doesn’t mind waiting, the view is far too lovely to be upset about and if Mr Nash doesn’t make it before dark Buck thinks he might try sleeping in the branches of one of those trees. That would be interesting.

His thoughts and plans for nocturnal tree climbing are disrupted by the sound of a horse and cart pulling up.

Evan ‘Buck’ Buckley holds onto his worn and tatty carpet bag, containing his worldly possessions and dares to believe that something wonderful is about to happen for him.

Ich weiß nicht, wer von euch im Anne with an E fandom war, aber es gab da mal eine Theorie (oder war's canon?) über den Verlauf der dritten Staffel, die sich interessanter Weise auch auf Hörk anwenden lässt:

Er liebt mich, er liebt mich nicht.

An einem Punkt in AwaE hat Anne eine Blume in der Hand und macht den typischen "he loves me, he loves me not"-Trick und im Fandom ist aufgefallen, dass das auf die Folgen der 3. Staffel anwendbar war. Eine Folge he loves me, eine Folge he loves me not.

Ich habe festgestellt, dass dasselbe für Spatort gilt - wobei Leo der Blumenpflücker ist. Hier meine Erklärung:

1. Das fleißige Lieschen: Er liebt mich.

Adam kehrt nach Saarbrücken zurück, nach 15 Jahren Untertauchen und Funkstille, weil er durch ein Tauschgesuch die Gelegenheit gesehen hat, mit Leo zusammenzuarbeiten. Er sagt ihm, ich hab dich vermisst, und Leo, es ist alles gut, wir sehen einen seltenen Einblick in seinen Leo-zentrierten Beschützerinstinkt, der sofort rauskommt, wenn jemand (Esther, Pia) Leo kritisiert oder angreift, er stellt sich schützend vor, hinter und neben ihn, schaut ihn liebevoll an und macht seine Zuneigung deutlich.

2. Der Herr des Waldes: Er liebt mich nicht.

Adams Vater erwacht aus dem Koma und wird entlassen und Adam? Verschweigt es Leo. Obwohl der genauso in der Sache drinsteckt wie er selbst, obwohl er genau weiß, wie wichtig es für Leo wäre, das zu wissen, obwohl es theoretisch sogar Konsequenzen für ihn haben könnte. Er ist pampig und verschlossen und als er wieder in den Bunker zieht, leidet er still, ohne sich Leo auch nur einmal anzuvertrauen. Während Leo natürlich sofort merkt, dass etwas nicht stimmt, schweigt Adam und pöbelt stattdessen Esther an (Tischkickerszene). Und schließlich hält er Leo egoistischer Weise davon ab, zu schießen, ohne Lausch sofort erschießen zu müssen, obwohl er weiß, wie schwer Leo das alles seit der Spatensituation fällt.

3. Das Herz der Schlange: Er liebt mich.

Zu Beginn von HdS sehen wir Hörk erstmal, gemeinsam mit Esther und Pia, eine gute Zeit haben, der Konflikt aus dem HdW-Ende scheint bereinigt. Dann stirbt Roland Schürk und was ist Adams erste Tat? Er ruft Leo an, verabredet sich mit ihm. Sucht am See die Nähe zu ihm, körperlich und emotional, vertraut sich ihm diesmal an (soweit, wie er eben kommt). Als die Polizei auftaucht, sieht man Adam für einen Moment überlegen, ob Leo ihn soeben verraten hat - ein schmerzhaftes Gefühl. Doch statt ihn zu beschuldigen oder sich zu verschließen, wie es sonst der Fall ist, ist ihm nur eine Sache wichtig, Leo wissen zu lassen: Leo, ich war das nicht. Gleichzeitig erkennt man in Adams Flashback zur Nacht von Rolands Tod wieder seinen Beschützerinstinkt an seiner Reaktion, als Roland ihn auf Leo anspricht. Als sie es endlich schaffen und Leo Adam von der JVA abholt, scheinen die beiden sich näher denn je.

4. Die Kälte der Erde: Er liebt mich nicht.

Was unbeschwert und harmonisch beginnt, wird bald zum größten hörkschen Konflikt. Adam hat das Geld gefunden und behalten und verheimlicht es. Er trägt es kackfrech in seiner Sporttasche mit sich herum, nachdem er sich überfallen lässt und Leo dann anlügt, er sei vom Rad gefallen. Selbst, nachdem Leo ihn dazu bringt, ihm von dem Überfall zu erzählen, erzählt er ihm nichts vom Geld, lässt Leo nur widerwillig bei sich schlafen und mosert schon in der zweiten Nacht herum, als wolle er ihn loswerden. Während Leo immer verzweifelter versucht, Adam festzuhalten und ihm nah zu sein, hält der ihn immer auf einer Armlänge Abstand. Bis Leo mit seiner Hingabe ein bisschen zu weit geht und Adam entgültig der Kragen zu platzen scheint. Auf Leos sarkastisches, Adam Schürk, der Mittelpunkt der Welt, erwidert er seinen vielleicht verletzendsten Satz: Deiner Welt vielleicht und lässt Leo stehen. Als der am Ende des Films das Geld findet, geschieht ein vorerst entgültiger Bruch.

5. Der Fluch des Geldes: Er liebt mich.

Auch, wenn der Film mit dem größten Streit der beiden beginnt, wendet sich das Blatt bald zu etwas, das wir bis dahin noch nicht gesehen haben: die Rollen werden vertauscht. Adam entschuldigt sich nicht ganz direkt, gesteht Leo aber zu, einen Fehler gemacht zu haben und zeigt Reue. Als Leo ihn stehen lässt (erstmalig nicht andersherum), ist Adam aufgewühlt und ein bisschen verzweifelt. Leo pöbelt am Unfallort die Spusi an, während Adam sofort zur Hilfe kommt, Leos Nähe sucht, sich sorgt. Am nächsten Morgen versucht er ebenfalls mehrfach, auf verschiedene Weisen mit Leo zu interagieren und wird dabei stur ignoriert. Und dann ist es an Leo, einen Alleingang zu machen und Scheiße zu bauen, und an Adam, besorgte Nachfragen zu stellen, ihm hinterzufahren und stetig in seiner Nähe zu bleiben, um auf ihn aufzupassen. Er geht endlich wieder auf Leo zu (nicht mehr umgekehrt), sein Beschützerinstinkt kommt wieder zum Vorschein: Leo, es reicht, du bist angefixt / Wenn irgendeiner auch nur laut hustet, komm ich da rein / Schüttel das ab, Leo! Blicke, Worte und Taten sprechen hier alle eine Sprache und die ist so ziemlich das Gegenteil von KdE. Leo denkt, er sei Adam vollkommen und absolut scheißegal. Und Adam? Beweist innerhalb eines Tages das Gegenteil.

6. Das Ende der Nacht: Er liebt mich nicht.

Ich weiß nicht, ob es nur mir so ging oder es lediglich an der ungewohnten Gruppenaufteilung (Leo/Esther, Adam/Pia) liegt, aber irgendwie ist da eine Distanz zwischen Leo und Adam, die bisher nie so da war – klar war in FdG erstmal Funkstille, aber die hatte zumindest einen triftigen Grund und folgte auf einen großen Konflikt. Diese hier ist irgendwie stiller und deshalb umso beunruhigender. Wo es bisher immer absolut selbstverständlich war, dass Leo und Adam ein Team bilden und Pia und Esther das andere, ist diesmal kontinuierlich, bis zu Pias Entführung, neu gewürfelt. Leo und Adam führen bis ziemlich weit in den Film nicht ein wirklich persönliches Gespräch. Das, was Adam eigentlich definitiv Leo erzählen sollte, vertraut er stattdessen Pia an - Meine Mutter sagt, ich sei wie mein Vater. Dann diese seltsame, ambivalente Spannung zwischen eben diesen beiden, und sie wachen zusammen im Präsidium auf, während wir Leo eine ganze Weile gar nicht zu Gesicht bekommen. Und hier wird es interessant. Leo fragt auf seine gewohnt misstrauische Art nach Adams Rucksack, Esther schlägt eine WG vor, und ausgerechnet Leo ist derjenige, der das aus einem ziemlich unsinnigen Grund (Adams Rauchen, obwohl er ja eigentlich aufgehört hat) ablehnt, während Adam aussieht, als hätte er den Gedanken tatsächlich in Betracht gezogen.

Hier frage ich mich, ob sich das Blatt vielleicht gewendet hat und es nicht mehr nur um Adams Liebe geht, sondern auch um Leos? Ist mit FdG eine neue, gleichberechtigtere Beziehung entstanden und nun muss nicht mehr nur Leo um Adams Liebe kämpfen, sondern auch umgekehrt? Nur eine Idee.

Wichtige Themen werden auch weiterhin zwischen den beiden kurz gehalten und nicht wirklich vertieft und sowohl körperlich als auch emotional scheint es noch immer eine freundliche Distanz zu geben.

Dann aber das Ende: Leo, der sich für Pia und den ganzen Bunker aufopfert, Adam, der einen bewusstlosen Leo von Pia wegzerrt, Leo in Adams Schoß, blutend und nicht ansprechbar, und dann die letzte Einstellung von Adam: Schock, Verzweiflung, pure Panik. Es sieht aus, als würde Adam genau in diesem Moment erkennen, was Leo ihm wirklich bedeutet. Was es bedeuten könnte, wenn Leo einfach nicht mehr da wäre. Und das wiederum, wenn der ÖRR sich ein klitzekleines bisschen Mühe gibt und etwas aus ebenjener Reaktion macht, könnte meine Theorie weiterführen und würde auf wunderschöne und emotionale Weise ins Konzept passen: Spatort 7: Er liebt mich.

Ok so I’m kinda thinking abt this Hello Dolly! Raggedy Ann au. If u don’t know what Hello Dolly! is, it’s a musical set in 1890s New York starring Barbra Streisand! It’s also more known as the musical featured in Wall-E🩷🩷🌼🌼

Of course there are other important plot lines in the musical, but for this au I just wanna focus on the storyline between Barnaby & Cornelius and Irene & Minnie

Hello Dolly! Plot(well, some of it):

Barnaby and Cornelius are a few poor store clerks who yearn for just one day of excitement, so they venture away from their posts and on a train to New York w/ all their money ($3.00).

Irene and Minnie are hat shop workers who also want adventure. So B&C pretend to be rich and famous, ask I&M out on a date, and go to the fanciest restaurant in NY w/out spending a dime! But of course their plan runs into some complications, if u wna know the whole story i really suggest watching the movie :D

I felt like these main characters in Hello dolly! (Barnaby & Cornelius) were just so perfect as Raggedy Ann & Andy. Barnaby is soft spoken, hard working, and excitable, which I thought kinda fit Ann. Cornelius is an adventure seeker, and a dreamer, who wants to live life away from his mundane job, so I thought this fit Andy too.

I deem this au: Hello RagDolly!. Still figuring out how I would incorporate the other characters but I know Irene and Minnie would be Babette & Clem
