in my many years of experience as a bilingual spanish-speaker i have discovered that my latino friends and i can understand portuguese pretty well, and plenty of other written romance languages are easy to decipher given the similarities in word/sentence structure. given fhe fact that piper is fluent in french, i think other romance languages come easy to her, not just because she’s an aphrodite kid but bc logic
