"so many things using the term ai feels like deliberate obfuscation" i hate to tell u this but we have been using the term ai for video game npcs and scientific models and automated tools and generative tools for many decades.

like if this was a more recent acronym yeah it'd feel deliberate but all of those things are, in fact, forms of artificial intelligence

and sure they're trying to buzzword it bc of the genai craze but that shouldn't take away from the fact that we've been using that acronym for decades

I saw you mention wanting an earth ship, they are super cool and I’m personally going to make my future home kind of an earth ship. I also wanted to mention mud houses and cob houses as they’re a really great option as well. I’ve been doing research on it and they’re very eco friendly and these houses can last hundreds of years if maintained properly. In my research I heard someone mention that using tires in earth ships can have some downsides due to the off gassing of harmful chemicals.

Yea so Cob houses are super cool!! And just like earthships, they are specialized to certain climates just like lots of older style housing. While I think a cob house could be super cool, I also live in a place that goes from -60c to +35c season to season so I wouldn't be able to use one realistically. Which is sad!! Bc look at some of this!

But the joy of earthships are how they can be specialized to regions (there are cold weather earthships now!!!!) And in the reuse of material like glass bottles and tile and wood and stuff. Like yea, a passive house or any other sustainability is great but I wanna make art out of the otherwise un-usable!

That and the idea of building green houses within your house is the other draw, the idea of being able to have own fruit tree inside! The idea of a mini river flowing down the side of my house while it's winter would help me fight sadness in the Dark time (winter)

Now, tires. This has been something that often comes up, and a real worry about the tire chemicals potentially leaking into soil there. Though thetr hasn't been any cases of that in follow up studies at any current existing earthship sites since they first were made in the 70s, this is because they are well encased in cob and impacted with earth basically preventing them from breakdown, but also like it takes Ages for tires to break down anyway like.. 80+ years in exposure type conditions. But!!! Even despite all that, generally they no longer use tires in earthship construction due ti the idea thay earthships are intact meant to last that hundreds of years and they don't want to risk it. Generally we see more metal recycling + hay +clay mixes for walls these days or combos of bricks and other styles of walls.

Hate Hate HATE-

I've had terrible experiences with Leander's. I'm sorry to all the Leander fans out there, but I can't stand people like him. I relate with Vere on this one. The artificiality is aggravating.

Will make you feel understood and special, but it's just his charm. He gets off on it tbh.

The type to laugh at jokes he doesn't think is funny to feed the person's ego. His laugh is obnoxious (rich person's laugh + loud cuz he thinks louder = more genuine? No lol), too, so everyone turns to him wondering what's making him laugh sm. He's just being fake

Ah, DOES NOT know personal space. Is super touchy even with strangers and pushes their boundaries.

People pleaser, people pleaser. The type to not stand up for you when someone talks smack about you behind your back. Instead would give a polite laugh, maybe add his own opinions on you to make the shit-talker feel understood, then would steer the conversation to smthg else. Take that as you will.

Leaves you in the dark on certain things that will make him look bad. More than likely you find out through other ppl which makes you feel betrayed.

Smiles, even when he's pissed off. When you see his mask falter it's like whiplash, makes you wonder if he's ever real w you cuz he doesn't talk about his neg opinions. Only shares altruistic opinions to make himself look better.

Would not communicate when he has problem with you. Instead, he'll give you a look, no smiles, no facade, just hostility. It's annoying when you're the type to talk things out.

Competitive as hell, with friends, too. If he isn't in the center of attention than he'll get very insecure, and would go into pick-me mode so he can get compliments from others

"No way, Leander, you're amazing, be more confident!"

And he will do this RIGHT in front of you, too (Day in the life of Ais dealing with Leander's jealousy)

Likes to play mediator to seem like the bigger person, but still ends up choosing sides. Your actions aren't matching your words fool.

Would also play mediator so he can get more information from both sides. More knowledge = more power = more control

On a positive note, Leander’s are very good at reading your emotions so would be more attentive to your needs. Also open-minded and would be a good companion if you want to have fun. Unfortunately the type to say yes yes to hanging out even when he’s on a tight schedule and get irritated when it wasn’t as exciting, like JUST SAY NO BITCH GAH DAMN. Prioritize urself.

When you start to distance yourself after he treats you like crap, that’s when he starts to correct himself, but it’s too late atp. Would get rlly salty when he sees you hanging out with other ppl feels like he’s being replaced

Would act friendly with you even after you're no longer close but it’s a facade :DD When he's alone he's brooding.

Kuras

Politely distant.

Kuras is the coworker that's been there longer than you have so you admire him from afar, hoping you'd be at his level one day.

Remembers your name even if you talk to him like ONCE, makes you feel special and seen in a non manipulative way.

Would remember certain things abt you that you surprised he remembers like at all.

Has the sexiest ASMR voice. It's the professional type of voice that’s very well-practiced and you just watch him on the phone not fumbling over there words like :0 They make it look so easy

Being friends with him wouldn’t be one-sided. He would plan a catch-up with you grabbing coffee. Would pay for the bill without asking.

He is a dominant person, but is often perceived as submissive bc his courtesy and gentlemanly behavior. No, no, he’s always in control. He just knows that that being kind in the face of conflict makes you the one more in control of the situation. There’s dominance in self-submission

An amazing listener. Has the ability to give advice to you without making you feel defensive on your stance.

Believes in integrity, but wouldn’t condone being “brutally honest.” Don’t weaponize your excuse of “honesty” to be a jerk towards others. Kinda hypocritical bc sometimes he sucks at being tactical with words, but he tries to understand, which is the difference from ppl that feel entitled to state their opinion in a “fighting for dominance” type of way

Stubborn lol. Stubborn in a “my way or the high way” kind of way. Needs to be convinced with logic or wouldn’t budge that his way of doing things is better. Can get tiring convincing them.

Also is very detail-oriented that every little thing needs to be analyzed before he proceeds. If you’re the type to “wing it” like me, it’ll test your patience but also their attention to detail helps out later on. He’ll hit you with the “I told you so” look

Too hard on himself. Would feel bad for being impolite over smthg minor. PLS REINFORCE HIS AWESOMENESS YOURE DOING GREAT OK.

Would remember something he’s done in the past and hate himself, it’s the catholic guilt. He knows there’s no point in remembering but he can’t help but think of how he could’ve handled something better. Overthinker.

Acts like an old man. Likes little peaceful towns with a good suburban vibes. Loves discovering little stores and Knick knacks. Also gives u gifts out of nowhere for keeping him company.

Mhin

I also know a few Mhins but I like them better than Leander’s lmao. Their quietness piques my interest and I find myself wanting to get to know them more, even if it’s one-sided and low-key an interview. They tend to be very interesting people.

If you gain their favor, than they're so caring towards you. Would seek your attention once in a blue moon like a cat. Sometimes it feels like you’re always chasing them, be it through gift-giving, reaching out, etc. Will get repetitive at times.

Their independence is admirable and partially the reason why you seek their presence so often. You don’t want them to feel lonely.

They’re passive aggressive, it’s low-key cute, but also annoying. Just say what you want to say!

They have self-conscious tendencies, be it their looks or their talents. Instead of being an annoying pick-me like Leander, they start to get more frustrated and depressed, unfortunately. Wouldn’t bring it up unless you do.

They’re also popular romantically but they NEVER realize. Tends to get teased often by people crushing on them.

Is so honest. Mhin would tell you straight what they think about you, which sucks if you have a soft-heart.

So honest, borderline an asshole. Ex. You’re losing some hair? They'd point it out. No hesitation. Very embarrassing if you're with your friends. They suck at thinking before they speak.

The type to trauma dump on you. But if they do, you’re lucky bc it means they trust you.

They are naturally attracted to kind, peaceful introverts. Mhin isn't a sociable person, so it would be a whole lot easier for them if you are also not sociable. Craves kindness and peace.

You can appreciate their quietness. They don’t talk, so their words hold more weight. Great at handling kids cuz they are scared of them.

The type to complain about smthg you did but helps you. ACTS OF SERVICE !!

Their laugh is so rare that it makes you surprised and gaping. But you love it whenever it happens.

My robot!house au is actually based on the book/movie The Electric State (i did call it a 'The Electric State AU' once but 'Robot!House AU' was definitely much easier to comprehend)

So if you want a deeper understanding, i reccomend you to look into the book/movie

Me myself, i just watched the movie and found the concept interesting to use as an AU

Heres my summed up explanation: humans created robots to carry out jobs such as post service, mascots to advertise for brands, construction etc etc but one day, they decided that working for humans isnt a satisfactory way to live life and they wanted to do their own thing

Blablabla in the end, robot and humans manage to live in harmony together. The story is based in the 90s, so since House MD is based in the 2000s, it would fit perfectly

In this AU, House is a life-support robot made in some factory (model name 'hoUSE-JN11', i still dont know what that stands for but oh well), but due to unknown reasons, he shows great expertise in the diagnostic field, which made him stand out from other robots working in Princeton Plainsboro, and eventually earned him Head of Diagnostics

Alright getting into relationships now

Hilson definitely still exists, and House being a robot is NOT going to stop Wilson catching feelings

House is a disabled character so i translated that into him being a robot with broken parts

He runs out of power way faster than any robot should, and he does some self-sobotaging shit to himself to temporarily extend battery life, which results in Wilson having to pay for any repairs (still, no one can figure out why he runs out of power like that)

If he recharges for too long, he overheats, but if he doesnt charge, he'll power out

His relationship with Cuddy is pretty much how it is on the show, he makes his usual inappropriate comments about her ass and boobs, and Cuddy acting annoyed but she still chips in like 40-50% on House's repairs with Wilson

The ducklings regularly bet on which electrical component House is going to damage next time. Cameron won 100 bucks betting on House's display monitors because Wilson couldnt control himself and punched one out

Does Toasty's text RPG exist in any form outside of Bloomic? I keep finding myself wanting to play it and then having to remind myself it's fictional.

It does not, but we want to make something like it in the future. In the meantime, here are some alternatives:

Roadwarden is a text-adventure "grim fantasy" game with minimal graphics made in renpy. I played the demo a while ago and liked it a lot!

AI Dungeon is probably closer to the experience in bloomic if you use the basic adventure mode, but I have mixed feelings about rec'ing it anymore ever since 2022 bc of everything going on with AI. Back in the day, though, it was a pretty unique little AI generated experience with not a lot of baggage. Below are screenshots from the 2019 version. I never played, but I watched others who did.

The Pilgrimage is a text parser adventure alternative that has a similar retro minimalistic look. I just found out about this game right now, but it sounds pretty interesting. Lots of talking with people in a town, some drinking, and many, many shenanigans.

Lifeline is a rec if you are a mobile gamer. Save an astronaut from certain death through real time text exchanges. I played this many years ago, and it's probably a game that defined part of my type of game design.

Gateway is a great game for anyone looking for an old-school text parser game. I haven't played this one, but it frequently comes up in conversations when I'm looking for text adventure games.

There's a bunch more out there! If you search for "text-parser" games, you'll get that "type in and see what happens" experience.

Do you think deepfakes count as fictional, reality or a whole other thing.

I ask this because it's genuinely the biggest news in the kpop space currently. Deepfakes of idols have always existed, I've known about them since 2016 when i first became a fan and tbh, I didn't think much about them. Also, I'm sure people have been editing celebrities and people they know into porn for as long as they've had the ability to. It's just much more accessible and easy to do now.

However, the issue has blown up both internationally and in Korea after a middle school student committed suicide due to being deep faked.

The discussion is now if this counts as sexual harassment and abuse, or is it rpf? It's been a kpop staple for years and people are drawing parallels between it and fanfic. to me deep fakes are worse because they're meant to look exactly like the idols. It's difficult to distinguish reality while fanfiction is just that. Fanfic. No one is reading it and thinking it's really real and the idols actually do the freak nasty after work or smth.

What are your thoughts? I ask bc you and your followers generally are more nuanced and I'm interested in your thoughts on the matter.

I've been asked this exact question a number of times. The closest thing is, of course, the photomanips that were hugely popular in some parts of fandom in like 2005.

The difference between those (or the same thing done with better technology now) is that they're openly branded as fake. RPF is the same way. It's posted to fannish archives or on fanworks-oriented social media accounts. It often has watermarks on it indicating it's a fanwork, and that's assuming it isn't... like... a photomanip of somebody as a centaur or something. Fanfic, even fanfic by tinhats, is labeled as fic, not as tabloid news.

Deepfakes intended for harassment are presented as real. A shitty person could take certain types of fan art and repurpose them for this, sure, but that's not the fault of the fan artist. Disguising the fact that this is fan-made (or, well, hater-made) art is the whole point.

How realistic the art is isn't the main issue: it's whether they're pretending it's real.

Now, is drawing cartoony offensive art of your middle school classmate harassment? It could be. Even if it's obviously art and not a photo, it could certainly be used intentionally to bully. A lot of things can be part of a bullying campaign. It's obvious how fake photos could easily be more traumatic and cause more trouble more quickly, but there isn't really a huge difference between known-to-be-fake "photos" and cartoony rude art, nor is there a huge difference between fake photo "evidence" and lying gossip "evidence".

The intent and the social context are what matter here. The photorealism just makes it easier to achieve a specific bullying aim.

But, yes, given the current technological situation, if you are a person who uses AI to make celebrity porn or something, the ethical thing to do is to watermark the hell out of it and/or make it less photorealistic and/or make sure it's posted to some porn site with attribution where people can easily go to debunk it should it escape containment and be passed around as The Real Thing. You can't control what assholes do, but you can at least put some roadblocks in place so they can't misuse your stuff as easily.

Joan is a spunky scene (?) kid. Her biggest interest is magical girls and just girly superheroes in general, she just CANNOT get enough! Her favourite magical girl series is Madoka Magical, peak taste imo, and she owns a jaw-dropping amount of magical girl memorabilia. She's prickly on the outside but it's just to protect herself due to her problems with trusting people but when she softens up she's like the friend you never knew you needed until she showed up. Joan will defend her friends with her life and isn't afraid to beat the shit out of anyone who crosses the people she cares about. Her aggressive attitude drives most people away, leaving her a social outcast until she met the other girls who, surprisingly, never gave up hope to befriend her.

Alex Lambert

Alex is a smelly little man, woman- person... Thing, nobody *really* knows what gender Alex is but that's what makes them so much more fun. They're obsessed with the dead, anything from taxidermy to actual dead people they'll take interest in. They have large collections of bones, replicas and books on the topic. They spend a lot of their time outdoors hunting for skulls and the rest terrorising people with their pets. Oh right I should've mentioned, Alex owns a California Kingsnake and a couple pet millipedes, storing their skin sheddings in respective containers. His overall strange nature rendered him friendless until he met Joan who just so happened to not be scared of things that happen to be a little weird.

Gwen 'Mouse-y' Wilkins

Gwen is a reserved, vaguely gothic, type of girl. She adores dolls, old or new she wants them. She has shelves upon shelves of dust-free dolls, sorted by brand and different fashion lines. If you can name the brand, she has it. She works part time at Joe's fantasy world and so she sees the club the most, to her disdain. Her antisocial nature leaves her mildly terrified of the boys, she doesn't have anything against them she just wished they would take it down a couple hundred notches. She most likely properly introduced the other 2 to the club due to her already having ties to them.

First of all, just ew. Why are we comparing traumas?

Second, (let’s say this type of thing was okay in any capacity), Mike was completely left off the list. The creator said he didn’t deserve to be included in the ranking because he hasn’t gone though “near as much” as the others… as if season 2 doesn’t exist? As if mental suffering (extreme depression, insane amounts of self-guilt, + other stuff) isn’t valid?

I hate the idea that someone only suffers when something happens directly or physically to them. Somehow Dustin and Lucas have more trauma than Mike because they had people die in their arms, but Mike doesn’t have trauma from believing he watched El die (bc of his actions!!) for an entire year. Apparently Mike’s trauma doesn’t count because El didn’t actually die. 

Sure Mike wasn’t drugged like Steve and Robin, but in season 2 he had to beg his best friend’s mother to put him to sleep before he killed them all. Oh but that’s not valid either because Mike just got to stand to the side while Will was the one suffering. 

(btw it's not finished bc of the same reason I decided not to post it: I would've kept going and definitely no one would read it after that 😂)

I really do not want to compare traumas because that's extremely icky... but if we're doing this... I have a post where I tally all the deaths/dead bodies witnessed by the Party (excluding El), and spoiler alert: Mike tops that list at a whopping 72 deaths witnessed! "Mike doesn't have as much trauma", my assssss!

this is a short story concept I’m probably not going to write but that I’ve been shaping in my mind since last night

the main character is an asteroid miner who works out of a ship with a huge cargo bay and a small crew quarters. attached is a semiautonomous drone that does the actual mining, which is painted bright yellow and called a canary. the miner has jailbroken the ai so that it’s way smarter than any other canary and also it’s her girlfriend. the mining company looks the other way bc they’re technically supposed to be sending out crews of two or more humans in order to keep them psychologically stable but this miner is happy to be alone with her robot which cuts down on food and oxygen costs

one day while doing some routine asteroid mining they find a damaged ship which contains a freaky looking spaceborn woman who’s like a treehugger but for asteroids. she’s like “you can’t just pulverize asteroids for their rare earth metals. theres microbes” and the miner is like well that’s stupid. but as the asteroid lover is staying on her ship recovering she’s always talking about how even though they’re “just” microbes they’re the only type of extraterrestrial life that exists and we need to protect them and the miner starts to be swayed. but if she stopped mining asteroids she would have to give up her ship which is where her girlfriend lives, since both the ship and the ai are property of the mining company

then her girlfriend is like “you’re my favorite organic lifeform but typically of organics you are letting your emotions cloud your judgment” and explains that she has learned and grown beyond the scope of the ai the mining company has patented so she can make a legal case that they don’t own her. she can seek amnesty on the asteroid lover’s space station where they’re hippy freaks who believe in ai rights. also if the miner uses all her savings she can buy the ship off the company and they’ll be free and clear. so they do that and it ends with everyone flying off to live in peace among the asteroid microbes

Q: What is whump?

A: Whump is a fandom term and describes fictional characters getting hurt in any way. Can be physical, emotional or psychological and overlaps with Hurt/Comfort and Angst. It’s used in fanfiction but also original fiction, movies/TV shows where a character gets hurt (and gifs/video clips of those scenes), fanart/original art and more. Whump can be any hurt: from torture or gore, stranded at sea, sickfic, magic powers with consequences, action movie fights and so much more. Can include (but doesn't have to) comfort, caretakers or characters doing the hurting. Check this link for more discussion and definitions of the term.

Q: Is Whumpuary an event for January or February?

A: Yes to both, as long as you're creating something new with the prompts in mind you can add on to existing works. And as long as your entry contains the prompt you can post unfinished works.

Q: Can I use the prompts after the event is over?

A: Yes! Use any prompts any time you want. The AO3 collections stay open so you can use those too. Your creations just won’t be reblogged to this blog & "count" for the official challenge.

Q: Do the Alt Prompts have to be done in order?

Dev Diary #2 (December 3, 2024) - Winter Progress Update!

Hi everyone! It's been a little while since I officially announced my upcoming custom voiced Skyrim follower mod 🌸 Seraph 🌸 & it's time for some updates!

Since then, work on Seraph has been coming along well, the beginning involved creating a bunch of custom systems & mechanics unique to Seraph, which I hope will set her apart from any other follower out there, & also a tonnn of writing & quest planning!

Some development highlights from the past few months:

🌸 Seraph's core systems are all implemented, including her follower framework, her custom combat AI (which is a lot more sophisticated than the usual Skyrim NPC!), & a few of her fun advanced mechanics as well!

🌸 The Approval system is in place (think Baldur's Gate 3 but much more in-depth), with various options for player preference in how it's presented in-game. Your choices will matter w Seraph, & along w raising or lowering her opinion of you, she will actually remember specific player dialogue choices across your journeys w her, leading to a very immersive & varied experience for multiple playthroughs.

🌸 I've also gone ahead & built & implemented a custom lock-bashing system for her; Seraph may not be a subtle, sneaky type but she can still help you w some of those pesky locked chests & doors!

🌸 Seraph's introduction is complete, along w multiple options for when/how to recruit her after your initial meeting! Seraph is integrated into the world in a way most followers just aren't, and if you don't choose to recruit her, or want to dismiss her for a while *she will carry on living a life of her own & be part of the game world!* I'm working hard to give her a sense of realness outside of just existing to follow the player's every whim.

🌸 Much of Seraph's Four (or Five, for some players who may choose to romance her) Act overarching questline is written & plotted out, & Act 1 is deep into being implemented. Each Act is not one quest, but rather a section of questing. Seraph is looking to be the scale of a small DLC in her original quests alone!

🌸 Seraph's appearance is also implemented, & work between myself & my incredible 3D artist @legendaryfirewizard on the custom 3D models for her visual centerpiece is coming along great. I'll be honest, I've been waiting to divulge details about her character in part bc when I do, I want people to *see* what they're getting ✨️ I'm so excited to share more about her character outside of technical details of the mod, but it will be well worth the wait to see her in her full glory.

Overall, dev on Seraph is coming along really well so far. As pretty much entirely a one-woman operation, there are more & less productive days & weeks, but any dev time I do have is all going to Seraph. I haven't felt this passionate & driven about a project in a long time.

For those who are asking about Redcap/other work, Redcap v1.5.0 is fully on pause until Seraph is released. I may release some minor side things here & there, & you may see some new Redcap stuff in the form of collabs w other mod authors, but right now my main focus is Seraph. I've learned that I tend to spread myself too thin & overwork myself, so having one main passion project at a time has been so great to get back to lately 😊

I'm hoping there will be less time between Dev Diaries than there was between these first two, & hopefully soon I will be able to share some images & juicy character details. Stay tuned. 🩷

big post of all my random rvb au ideas and some hcs, decided this was more reasonable than making like 20 different posts.

Hc the freelancers who die are like submarines that go missing, officially still out on patrol. Florida is the only freelancer that is officially gone from the program. A rumor starts that the freelancers suits are in some way connected to the us states so people think that when florida (state) blew up, so did Agent Florida's armour killing him in the process

 (I'm an ace Tucker believer) Y'know how Tucker gets charged child support for a bunch of kids post chorus? I don't think he has any kids outside of Junior. I think a bunch of people who got pregnant post temple of procreation were like shit idk the kids other parent. Uhhhh. Let's just say it was the rich famous planetary hero guy who claims to have slept with everyone. He probably doesn't even remember the people he's slept with. And then Tucker, asexual who has had sex one (1) time and realised he didnt like it very much, is stuck between revealing to the whole goddamn planet that he doesnt actually fuck, and paying a billion dollars of child support.

In an everyone lives no one dies type au I think Donut gets Maine, Locus, South, and Wash to come to his wine and cheese hour and he does their makeup and their nails.

Au where Sigma is just so fucking invested in getting Maine and Wash to date that he doesnt do anything evil. "Agent Maine, I think you will find this course I have signed you up for quite informative" Sigma this is a couples wine and pottery class "Oh look, is that Agent Washington over there? you should go say hi."

Au where Wash and Epsilon bond. It still fucks Wash up and shit, cause yknow. Epsilon issues. But Wash goes like "I am going to fucking kill the director he fucked you ai over so much" And Epsilon is so taken aback bc of Alphas view of Wash from an outside, heavily filtered perspective made him seem happy go lucky, innocent, and a bit naive.

Au where the freelancers find out that the director is Linas dad and behind her back they're all like "hey is she okay? why does he talk to her like that?" but then whenever she's around they just accuse her of nepotism. Gamma and Sigma team up to hack the leaderboard and change her name to nepotism baby.

I love South. I wish she existed more. I wish her and North and Theta could have gotten along. I wish Theta could suit jump like Omega and Alpha. I wish Theta could spend time with South. Like yeah South wouldn't like having to share an ai with her brother but like. He's their littlest brother.

Junior and Theta could autism bond. I think they'd both like comics. Also Junior teaches Theta basketball and Theta teaches Junior to skate. Skateboard kid plus scooter kid. I think Palomo would like to skateboard too. Wash and Palomo both helped teach Theta to skateboard. Wash bc he's friends w North, Palomo bc he's at the skatepark frequently. Jensen roller skates, she's... okay at it. not good. but okay. She broke her tailbone trying to impress Palomo. Andersmith would work at a youth center that the teens hang out at. Matthews works at a movie theatre, Bitters watches a movie there every week, maybe just to see Matthews.

Sarge werebear. Simmons vampire. Grif faun. Donut Light Elemental. Lopez is a ghost that got stuck in a shitty robot Sarge built. Church and the ai are ghosts, Tex is a vampire, Caboose is a werewolf (big doggy :3). Siren Tucker. Deep sea mermaid Junior (glowing octopus type stuff). Faun Kai (same as Grif). Carolina’s a Phoenix. Wash some kind of big cat thing. Florida Shapeshifter (he prefers being reptiles). The twins are demons. 479er is a harpy. York poltergeist (throws stuff at people). Wyoming's some kind of “answer my riddles three” type of imp. Ct is also a shapeshifter. Maine’s just a regular guy with a lot of weird friends. Felix and Locus are a fire elemental and a dryad respectively. Siris is a water elemental. In my au Donut’s a light elemental which makes it so fucking funny if Church pops up and says "boo" Donut just fucking decks him. and through Church being a ghost (a form of light) and Donut being a light elemental, Donut’s fist connects. South is the demon people are more likely to fear, but North is the one you really need to look out for. When South loses her temper people get frightened, when North loses his temper people die. If there's like. a group of kids exploring or something North’ll hold South back from doing anything more than scaring them. If there's a priest attempting an exorcism or someone with a cross threatening South, their organs will be found separately from their bodies. 

It's kinda funny when people make Church and Lina siblings and then Tex is just some random girl that Church likes. Like I fully understand why and the only other alternative i can think of is like. Church is the director's younger brother who was raised alongside his daughter after their parents died. and Tex is Allison's younger sister. Only way I could put together Church kinda being the director and Tex kinda being Allison but also Church and Lina being siblings without there being any relation between Tex and Church.

Florida and Ct have a coworker friends relationship i think. When they first met I think Florida said something vague and threatening to her so she pulled a knife on him. They've been sort of friends ever since.

i am probably going to try archiving some of the stuff from the other site by copying things I found important and posting the text here.

why tumblr?

I never liked the format of discord or similar platforms, plus the concerns outlined in this post - "However - discord is proprietary and closed-source, and (probably) sells your personal info / trains AI on it."

tumblr is a famliar platform to me bc i used to use it back in the day. i've made this new blog now to hopefully interact with some of the existing community here. i have an idea for a tag that us refugees, so to speak, could use to try and congregate here.

it's gonna take me awhile to get used to typing in a standard text editor, I got so used to markdown.

Okay, so, when I hyperfixate on stuff, I often like to combine it with other previous/lesser hyperfixations. So this ends up with a lot of fun crossover AUs!

Now, why am I saying this?

Twst (mainly the freshies) x digimon

In this AU, Ortho would act as the “sixth ranger” of the season, starting as an antagonist before joining the team. (Bc that’s ‘never’ happened in digimon before) (Ken, Kouichi, Yuu/Ewan, heck even some digimon like Gatomon and Beelzemon) I’m also not sure if I want Ortho to have a partner, so I only gave him half of a line. He would still be an AI in this AU. (Yuujin core) (I feel like I could make a death joke here-)

Also, Grim would be like Bun from C’mon Digimon (at least, he might be. I have not read that manga yet) as he is still a digimon, however he cannot evolve and his name doesn’t end in “Mon” (bc I’ve decided that Grim is a one-size-fits-all type deal in these AUs of mine)

The background of this AU would be similar to the OG Adventure series, with the real world starting off in a summer camp. There are seven cabins, (plus an extra lodge for the camp counselors (the faculty)) each based on the dorms. So it would be like, Cabin 1: Pomefiore, Cabin 2: Heartslabyul and so on and so forth with that.

This does not mean that Yuu stays with one of the cabins, as due too a mix up, all the cabins were full, but Yuu was still accidentally let in. It was decided that they could just stay in the Counselor’s lodge for the time at camp.

You may think that Ramshackle doesn’t exist now, but it does! Ramshackle Dorm is turned into Ramshackle Mansion. It’s where the freshman first end up when they get to the Digiworld, though it ends up being haunted by three Bakemon. Yuu and Grim are the first to figure this out, as the duo work together in a similar fashion as the prologue. The two eventually find the others and they book it out of there.

Ramshackle Mansion eventually becomes the team’s hide out for whenever they’re done exploring whatever section of the Digiworld they where adventuring in. The Bakemon are actually super nice and collect food, water, and medical supplies for the team!

I still have a lot to say about things I’ve figured out for this AU, but this post is getting long, so I’ll stop it here for now. If anyone wants to know more, I’d be happy to talk more about it!
