I want to see an entire 11-hour Big Time Rush retrospective only because I want to see a 2 hour pinboard segment that is basically similar to what's above.

Saja Boys HC’s!!
Tumblr media
-ˋˏ✄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
Paring: Saja Boys x Reader(?? If you squint
A/N: I just watched this movie and, Oh MY GOD! I am OBSESSED WITH IT. Genuinely, I feel like the writers did such a good job at portraying the characters and the storyline without it feeling rushed? I would love to see it as a series sometime, or have some sort of sequel/prequel to answer all of my questions!! But for now? I’ll just stick to writing Drabbles about guys who only had a few minutes of screen time.
BTW. This is all simply MY opinion on them, they have no defined personality so literally almost everything could be cannon.
-ˋˏ✄┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈
Baby Saja
★ He’s on his phone, like, a LOT. Not in a brainrotty way, but he’s just rather uninterested in anything else.
★ Nonchalant dread head. He doesn’t care about things too much. Want to hang out in a big group? Ok! Want to stay in and not do anything? That’s cool. Sometimes it can be quite annoying, considering you’ll be the one making the decision half of the time, but he will take the initiative eventually.. (Still, be prepared to be the one who ends up deciding what yall do, even if he started the hangout)
★ No sense of taste. Heavily based on him and the hot sauce contest thing
★ Plays video games. Not a gamer, just uses them to pass the time. He’s awfully good at them, specially fight games, however, he doesn’t like rpg games.
★ For someone who’s nonchalant, he cares about his appearance a little too much. What can I say? A man just wants to look cool
★ Lazy as hell. Like stated before, if you wanted to do something he wouldn’t oppose to it, however, he won’t go out of his way to do something.
★ Doesn’t like hot drinks, don’t ask why
★ Isn’t very fond of animals, they’re too much work and bothersome.
★ Likes soft to the touch things
★ Doesn’t like interviews much, mostly because of the amount of talking you have to do in them
★ Always has something in his mouth; gum, lollipops, soft candy, he always has something there. He don’t like crunchy things tho, the vibrations they send to his head.
★ Heavy gaslighter, like, he enjoys to bother others. Type to hide your things and then act like he has no clue what you’re talking about up until you’re going crazy not being able to find the object
Abs Saja
★ Foodie, but in reality he’s just a fatass. Says he’s bulking but he just likes to eat
★ Prefers sour over salty, does NOT like sweet things
★ Constantly showing off his muscles, specially his abs, lets bffr his whole personality are his abs.
★ During the winter he likes to go on runs shirtless, or he’s just always constantly shirtless.
★ Annoying asf. He’s funny, but in the way that he says the dumbest things constantly and makes you wonder how many times he’s been dropped as a child.
★ Social, but still likes to keep his distance to people. He hates talking about feelings, and if you do try? He’d probably find a way to avoid the situation with a dumb comment
★ Dog person all the way, he’d have a golden retriever named cupcake or world destroyer
★ He’s pushy when it comes to things that he really wants. You’re going to the gym with him whether you like it or not, will sulk if you end up winning.
★ Surprisingly a good cook, but he’s messy as hell
★ Immature as hell. He would laugh at penis jokes, or just any type of middle school joke.
★ Sore loser, yet, he sucks at any game that doesn’t involve some sort of athletic performance.
★ He sleeps with his socks on
★ Self centered. He watches edits of him on repeat, constantly likes posts about him and probably has magazines of himself hung up on his walls
★ Doesn’t like children
Romance Saja
★ He likes cars
★ Reads romance novels, books, fanfiction (SPECIALLY about him) will say dumb corny shit all the time, like cheesy pick up lines from hallmark movies
★ Theater kid, watched Highschool Musical too many times to count
★ He cares about his hygiene a lot. Manicures, pedicures, metrosexual in a way.
★ Huge fashionista, he has a mannequin of himself in order to pick out outfits.
★ He can’t hold his alcohol, EXTREME lightweight.
★ He likes word games
★ He likes to tease people, their reactions are simply too good to pass up on.
★ If you are in a relationship he’d make it a thing to take the role of the knight and shining armor, or just the typical male romance movies role
★ Speaks French
★ Out of all the members, he’s surprisingly the weakest physically.
★ Unlike abs, he LOVES to talk about his emotions. Overshares constantly, can be quite annoying sometimes but oh well.
★ If he were to have any pets, he’d have something that wouldn’t get him that dirty, most likely a fish. He believes they’re perfect companions (even though you can’t do much with them)
Mystery Saja
★ This has been obvious, but the quietest of them all. You won’t hear a peep from this dude until waaaaay later into your interactions, and even then it won’t be much.
★ Animal lover. I don’t believe he would have a pet, but he’s the type to stop while walking to pet a stray or some shit like that. Call him snowy white because he’ll even have insects land on him and he won’t care
★ Very good listener, of course, he isn’t much for giving advise, but he’s always there to hear whatever might be troubling your mind.
★ I wouldn’t say he’s antisocial, but I wouldn’t say he’s social either. He much prefers one on one hang outs, whether it’s outside or inside.
★ He sucks at saying tongue twisters.
★ Artist. He expresses what he doesn’t voice through art, mainly paintings. He tried to sell some as modern art once, but no one bought any.
★ over-analytical over the dumbest shit
★ he barks at people

Some snippets (compilation) from the comments section of [this recent video] by Mark Darrah on YouTube titled ’How 2017 Changed BioWare 1000 Ways’.
rest of post under cut due to length.
Mark Darrah: "BioWare seems to be rebuilding now. I guess we'll have to keep watching"
Mark Darrah: "BioWare and EA seem to be fully behind the next Mass Effect"
User: "I hope the next Mass Effect brings the studio back on track, I doubt they will have many chances left if that game fails. Judging by the people that are involved, they are definitely trying." Mark Darrah: "Seems like"
Mark Darrah: "I don’t know what is next for DA"
Mark Darrah: "A super rushed Joplin likely would have been deeply flawed"
User: "I often learn more about what was going on at Bioware from this channel than I did in 10 years working at Bioware 🙃" Mark Darrah: "oof" Aaryn Flynn: "I learned some things too!" Mark Darrah: "@ blind men touching an elephant"
Bryan Johnson: "Very interesting to hear your perspective since I definitely was not a high level person. Crazy how much they kept the Casey return, as a few of us knew about it a bit earlier because we wrote something to scrape the employee staff data as we were getting tired of not hearing about people leaving the company." Mark Darrah: "wow"
User: "The shenanigans you just described, combined with David Gaider's recent posts about his own treatment at this company solves the mystery as to why DA has ended up in the state it's in. Thank you for clarifying." Mark Darrah: "I wouldn’t put it all on 2017"
User: "As someone who adores Dragon Age, it seems EA doesn't understand RPG fantasy games and doesn't understand what they have with Dragon Age and probably never will." Mark Darrah: "Likely"
User: "I can tell you as strictly a fan that I FELT the 'pivot' as you called it, in 2017. Andromeda felt half old BioWare and half something I didn't recognize as the same language. Anthem was a completely different dialect. SOMETHING was obviously changing at BioWare..." Mark Darrah: "That said, Anthem had been in development a WHILE by 2017"
User: "The level of organizational disfunction at such a big company is astounding." Mark Darrah: "Very common"
User: "I truly wish EA cared more for fsntasy, because it definitely seems like sci-fi and sports is what the higher-ups drool over." Mark Darrah: "We'll see what the future has to bring but..."
User: "And in all that time, Star Wars the Old Republic was keeping up Bioware's slack. Now they don't have that option anymore." Mark Darrah: "It was. Though I'm not sure EA saw it that way"
User: "The infuriating part of all this is that nobody even got what they wanted. Especially EA. The behaviour of these execs would at least be explicable if it had led to commercial success, but it didn't. Why are business execs so uniquely bad at doing business? It's their only job." Mark Darrah: "Successful Live services make so much that the risk was seen as worth it"
Mark Darrah: "Montreal didn't work on Anthem, they were moved to a different EA studio"
Mark Darrah: "Quarter based isn’t great planning for gamedev"
User: "It was a big surprise that BioWare didn't crumble immediately like so many before (Westwood, Origin, Bullfrog, Mythic). It's fascinating to learn that it was because BioWare was put under EA Sports management who were in no position to meddle with the development of RPGs." Mark Darrah: "The EA sports thing happened a bit later... I want to say 2013 or something."
User: "I am still hopeful, despite everything that's happened, that we'll still see more Dragon Age at some point" Mark Darrah: "You never know. EA owns a LOT of IPs"
Mark Darrah: "It’s the nature of most corporations to focus on costs longer term than revenue. Which is an issue for things that take many years to do"
Mark Darrah: "Every game that ships is a miracle"
User: "I am an optimistic. I hope that DA will be back and that EA and Bioware ups realise what a gem Dragon age truly is." Mark Darrah: "Hopefully"
Mark Darrah: "There was a story about Andromeda threading the needle between colonialism and a refugee story and telling neither story fully but that never got discussed"
Mark Darrah: "I do think MEA could have repaired its rep if given more post launch time"
User: "This is so sad. I really hope these videos bring some kinda change, whether it be with EA or teach other developers/publishers about what not to do." Mark Darrah: "..."
User: "Veigulard is like a product of this turbulent development process and continuos change of scope without respect to the development team." Mark Darrah: "Veilguard is a story for another day... hopefully"
Mark Darrah: "SWTOR was always a mystery to me too. It seemed like they had a pretty clear "If we sped 1$ we get more than 1$ back" repeatable model but it wasn't valued."
User: "I guess my only question is, did Casey Hudson ever actually fought for the Joplin vision/to keep DA Singleplayer at all? It seems odd to me that EA allowed DA to go back to Singleplayer in early 2021, shortly after Hudson left. I mean, Anthem was his idea and it flopped. The Jason Schreier articles stated devs were calling the live service Morrison "Anthem with dragons", so I wonder if Hudson was actually in support of turning DA into an MMO. Not trying to find someone to blame for everything, but I'll just forever wonder if things would've been different with someone else at the top." Mark Darrah: "I don’t think he was. Simply living in the same environment we all were"
User: "What was your relationship with the higher-ups and your team like for the remainder of your time at Bioware?" Mark Darrah: ""Doing a job" probably describes my last 2-3 years"
User: "I hope there is smooth sailing for ME5 and the story will knock our socks off." Mark Darrah: "I am following Mass Effect for sure"
Mark Darrah: "Origin [Systems] was actually under the BioWare umbrella at one point if you can believe it"
Mark Darrah: "Ray [one of the BioWare co-founders] spent a lot of his capital resisting EA until he left."
User: "If Joplin and the DA team had gotten the manpower from the Montreal team and resources they required do you think Joplin could have avoided EA’s push toward live service? (Sorry for the double comment, issue with my connection for a second there)" Mark Darrah: "... Its hard to say. Those 2 things are honestly pretty tightly coupled"
User: "Did you talk to Casey about the Anthem situation? It seems like he just pushed Anthem without discussing it internally which is so strange to do" Mark Darrah: "There were conversations. Casey can be very convincing"
User: "I think they damaged the relationship with their consumers as well" Mark Darrah: "In 2017? Definitely stopping the MEA dlc didn’t help"
User: "Have you considered writing an unauthorized history of Bioware, Mark?" Mark Darrah: "I’ve thought about a book. Not sure if there is one in there…"
User: "my trust in Nexteffect is very low just like it's for Bioware overall nowadays, but I won't judge before the game is out." Mark Darrah: "Keep following the game. Hopefully it will be great"
Mark Darrah: "EA doesn't sell IP"
User: "It's always so weird to hear the two teams at BW were kinda against each other" Mark Darrah: "Its weird how much the teams saw the differences as opposed to the similarities"
Mark Darrah: "I’m not sure that a large corporation can NOT assimilate an acquisition. Even if it tries"
User: "I have zero expectations for the next Mass Effect game" Mark Darrah: "There is still blood left in that stone"
Mark Darrah: "DA2’s budget is pretty small"
Mark Darrah: "We are starting to see a pivot back but basically the math is: 1. A successful live service makes WAY more than a successful SP game. 2. So much more that even if only 30% of our bets work we are still better off. BUT. 30% of their bets have NOT worked. Its way lower than that"
User: "The year BioWare started being finally digested by EA." Mark Darrah: "Finished I'd say"
User: "Do you feel like the "little to gain, little to lose" attitude from EA happened with The Veilguard as well?" Mark Darrah: "It isn't the same situation I don't think"
User: "How close were we to just getting any Dragon Age release, ever? Do you think the 10 year wait between releases damaged marketability?" Mark Darrah: "Do you mean how close was Joplin to happening? Not very close. It never even entered true pre-production" User: "regarding Anthem’s live service status… were people moved from Austin (The Old Republic) to help with that? Because it would greatly explain the content drought in the game at the time." Mark Darrah: "A ton of Austin people were on Anthem and Anthem Live. Not sure if they were pulled off of SWTOR though"
User: "I don't think EA understand video game development..." Mark Darrah: "They understand very specific kinds of development"
User: "if I were at BioWare, I would have had no trust in EA to keep their word after they agreed to let Dragon Age become single player again in 2021." Mark Darrah: "different people in different chairs but yeah"
Mark Darrah: "Yeah I don’t think anyone was malicious"
User: "do I understand correctly then that actual work on what eventually became The Veilguard started in 2019, after Anthem?" Mark Darrah: "There are very thin threads that trail all the way back to 2015 but most work happened after 2019. REALLY most happened after 2021 when it went back to SP."
User: "It seems like the Dragon Age team and Mass Effect teams have resentment towards each other, but I rarely hear from Hudson discussing this. It’s mostly the Dragon Age team." Mark Darrah: "I think we all have different stances for sure"
User: "I'm sure they don't appreciate you telling the full truth." Mark Darrah: "There’s much more to it then this"
Mark Darrah: "That Anthem pitch was so good it lasted 7 years of Casey being gone"
User: "Execs lying to you numerous times, then lying to the Dragon Age staff about the nature of their relocation, only to have them crunch on Anthem, is horrendous." Mark Darrah: "I don’t think they were lying to me at the time. It just became untrue"

more streamer!ellie hcs
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
been wanting to make another one of these for a while now so here we goooooo
part one | part three
ellie loves having her gf on stream as often as she can
they always let chat vote for who gets to choose the game that they play, but y/n wins probably 90% of the time
ellie pretends to be annoyed when she picks the sims or minecraft
but in reality she really likes sitting together and making each other and building their dream life
she made her simself have huge muscles, was mad when her girl just laughed and made them more realistic
when she won, she liked to pick horror and rpg games
she loves trying to act all big and bad and "protecting her girl"
meanwhile she's holding onto her for dear life and screaming at the top of her lungs
when she's on her own, she likes playing any type of game with voicechat
she always ends up fighting with and cussing at some random kids across the country
she gets so wild whenever one of them calls her a virgin
always freaks out at them before beginning to brag all about her super hot gf that they couldn't even dream of having and they wouldn't even know what to do with that
she gets a "???" text from her girl a few seconds later
she takes little gf breaks during the stream, where she literally sprints out of the room, kisses her, and rushed back
her insta is so dumbbbb
like its literally a compilation of stupid memes, random photo dumps, brand deals, and the most well edited and gorgeous photos of her girlfriend
her tiktok really took off after they started dating too
she makes thirst traps and also the most wholesome lovely dovey vids about her relationship
she loves reposting fan edits of them
as mentioned in the first one, ellie's gf is also in the public eye
i think i've decided that she's an up and coming singer/actress
ellie loves going to major events with her
she always looks like a wet dream like
she likes to wear suits of some kind where the top is partially unbuttoned and her hair is slicked back and ughhhh
don't get me wrong, she looks so good and fierce in her solo pics
but anytime you're anywheres near her that night, she's got the most obvious heart eyes anyone has ever seen
whenever ellie goes with her for press events y/n's manager immediately know its gonna be a gold mine
theres always some kind of promo that's literally just the two of them cuddling
once y/n gets her big break they 1000% get offered a ck campaign
the whole thing is them doing domestic stuff together and being all cute and sexy and ellie looks so DAMN GOOD in her boxers and bralette
she literally spends the whole day leading up to her stream with her gf bc she's "gonna miss her" during the 3-4 hours that they're apart (even tho she's calling her in every 30 minutes just to say hi anyways)
wears stupid shirts on stream that she custom orders
they all say stupid loser gf shit or just have a picture of your face on it

Metaphor: ReFantazio thoughts on tropes and characters and how they stand up vs the Persona games
I know, nobody asked for my take, and I haven't actually written a take on just about anything for the past year or so as I find myself in the middle of my greatest block ever. But who knows, maybe giving my two cents will help me get out of it.
I just recently finished the game on ps4 and I actually started a new playthrough on game+ mode, and I must say it really is great! Similar enough to the other Persona games to find my footing but novel enough to be excited and curious about it. The art in particular, I found captivating and I loved how the prologue cutscene already gave me the gist of the story. It's a rush to the throne in a very unstable country. I love when stories are clear from the get go on their intent, because that means you can then toss as many twists and turns to the plot as you wish, like this game does, without risking of losing the point. And a point is very, very clearly made across the game. If it wasn't clear enough from the title alone, this story is a metaphor to our world's political and emotional state. Actually, I feel like the main theme of this game and the one of P5/P5R are analogue and complementary. Even through some corney dialogue and unlikely scenarios, I feel both games tell us something very important: even in a moment where disillusionment and nihilism are peaking and the political class seems to be greedy, self indulgent and corrupt more than ever, we all have the choice and the duty to take arm against it and pull the reigns to our own individual paths and say no to it. Because even if you are the lowest outcast out there, you can still make a difference for yourself and those around you, however tiny, and that may inspire others and ripple out in unexpected ways. P5 tells us to rebel against the powers that be, and ReFantazio pushes us to not let the fear and anxiety of the unstable world around stop us from trying. I think that is very important to hear, no matter how simple and seemingly obvious it might seem. Videogames, more than any other medium, have the power to make us feel more the impact of the story through our choices and their outcome since we as players are literally at the steering wheel and into the protagonist's shoes.
In less philosophical terms, one of my favourite things about the game is that our silent protagonist FINALLY isn't so silent anymore. God, I'm so glad 'Will' actually has voice lines. One of the things I like less (which becomes more obvious mid/late game) is how certain activities are purely locked to the gauntlet runner and to certain moments on the gauntlet runner. So, say I maxed out all my royal attributes and none of my friends is up for chats, I can't go to the gauntlet runner to do laundry, clean up, plant, cook or the likes because it's not running, so I practically have nothing to do. And that's without bringing into the mix fishing and bathing in the hot tub, which become increasingly hard activities to do. Also, if there is a way to change Archetype mid-battle, I have not discovered it yet, which is not ideal. And if I can have one more complaint, but this is more towards all Atlus games and maybe RPGs in general, the end battles become, from a story perspective, a bit of a mood killer, to me. Like, I can only take you, big bad villain, seriously up till the 2nd time you tell me that you have more power to show me. WHY DIDN'T YOU BRING YOUR A GAME IN THE FIRST 3 ROUNDS OF COMBAT, EVEN AFTER YOU SAID YOU WOULD NOT HOLD BACK ANYMORE?! I feel like this breaks the tension for me instead of heightening it and I feel like the message of the story starts getting shoved down my throat. We get it Louis! You'll stop at nothing, ok man, you want to destroy the world. Sheesh.
Beyond that, it's great. Talking about final battles, the 'secret boss' and the revelation of who 'that' major character had been all along really caught me by surprise. Actually, all the characters are really good in this game, not just your teammates. One of my biggest qualms with P3R was that I really didn't care for most social links and that felt somewhat true for P4 and P5 too (I'm looking at you, Drunken journalist) but here, I can't say there is anyone I didn't care to know better. You really feel for characters like Brigitta or Alonzo and others like Maria really warm your heart, with Bardon you see the crash that's about to happen and Neuras, good ol' Neuras, is just a guaranteed good laugh, not to mention that you are very well rewarded for quickly deepening these bonds.
But protagonist aside (which I feel Joker still might take the cake for me, even though Will has come neck to neck) this may be my favourite party yet. Up till now, P4 held the golden medal in that regard, but Strohl and Hulkenberg have tipped the scale in Metaphor's favour. Gallica is a great companion (waaaay better than both Morgana and Teddie), Hulkenberg is hilarious (the fact she doesn't intend to be funny makes it even better), Heismay and Basilio make my heart bleed out, Junah is a kick-ass energy bomb and Eupha is the tender sweetheart that rounds everything out. And Strohl? He instantly became my favourite Atlus character. It's like he has all in one my favourite traits of P3's Akihiko, P5's Ryuji and especially all the best ones of P4's Yosuke without their short comings. He's smart, empathic, determined, brave, loyal, noble-spirited and outspoken without coming off as 'too perfect to be relatable'. He really steals the spotlight for me. Also, much like Yosuke/Yu and Joker/Ryuji, Will/Stroll have a great chemistry and balanced energy. You can definitely see why these characters immediately bond and befriend each other with such fierceness.
I'm actually really glad that unlike the Persona games, Metaphor steered away from romance and actually feel like that touch they added towards the end with Eupha really was shoe-horned in and would have been better cut off entirely. And that has nothing to do with Eupha herself, since, like I said, I really like her as a character.
As for Will himself, I like how sweet and cute he is and how fundamentally different his 'silent personality' is compared to the other protagonists. Like, Joker is the menace who's silent only to drop bombs and one-liners at the best (worst!) moments and burn you down with a death glare. Yu is silent because he is just such a chill and unflinching guy. Makoto is silent because, well.....he's a dead man walking. But Will? It almost breaks my heart how Will learned to use silence and his small stature to basically turn himself invisible since he lives in a world ready to hate, hurt and berate him simply for being an Elda and so disappearing and not causing problems becomes his best shot at survival. And then, later on, this trait becomes a metaphor itself for the kind of King he is: someone who is more prone to listen to the needs of his people than a figure of grand speeches and ego like Forden, Louise and most of the other candidates. Also, I love that he is 'Fantasy personified', a walking dream made of magic, and that as he becomes his own person he goes from Reader to Writer, from creation to creator of other, new fantasies and to new, evolving utopias. Also, it's of little consequence, but there is just so much personality packed into his little running animation as he goes ahead beckoning his friends to follow, and I like it very, very much.
One last thing I'll say, but just because I haven't seen anyone mention it yet, is that I found a LOT of comparisons between this game and another, even more than the other Persona games. That's Final Fantasy X. Think about it: The protagonist who's a walking dream; an ancient civilization run by machinery that disappeared almost overnight; Eupha like Yuna being a 'Summoner', a holy figure and an anchor point for her people who's willing to sacrifice herself for their sake but then learns that her world view was wrong and she can better serve everyone by living on; Sanctism and the Faith of Yevon committing horrible acts by discriminating entire groups of people, covering up their deeply corrupted core, brainwashing people into blind submission and Covering up major historic events; a mixed party that brings together all the different races and religions of the world (almost in ffx's case); heck I would say that even Seymour and Louis share a lot of similarities especially in their background; and obviously the flying battleship that takes you anywhere you need to go and up to the final battle. In both stories, the final battle isn't the end but just the beginning of a long and hard road to recovery and reconstruction. I can't be the only one to see that, right?
Anyway, this post has gone on long enough. I doubt that anyone has followed me up to this point, but if you have, thank you so much for reading and let me know in the comments what you think.

Hey there. Was wondering if I could help jog your muse so how about this?
Can I have five facts about a Top Gun AU where Bradley is hurt on mission and Mav is of course the Dagger dad. You decide if he's actually there or on the radio. ;D
Thank you so much for this ask, @musewrangler!
I’m so sorry this took an eternity, but I only got the inspiration for this now!
*sighs in author*
Anyway, many authors better than me have tackled the idea of Bradley getting injured on the Uranium Mission, so I decided to tweak the prompt a little bit—I hope you like this!
Tumblr media
It’s a big deal—this is the first mission of the newly formed VFA-223, the “Black Cloaks”, and it’s air cover for a high value hostage rescue in Eastern Europe; a simple task, ostensibly, for such skilled pilots: Bradley is mission lead, Jake is his wingman, with Omaha and Halo, Payback and Fanboy as their two Foxtrot teams.
Mav is there in the command center, practically ready to jump out of his skin, praying they all make it home, his heart sinking when, though the hostages are successfully rescued, the mission quickly turns bad for the Daggers; there’s much more firepower than the intelligence indicated, including a UN sanctioned missile system—however, Mav’s trained them well; they’re all able to evade its targeting system, barely using their flares and chaff, but when an RPG catches Bradley off guard, Mav practically knocks Cyclone over in his rush to get to the radio as they all hear Jake’s terrified “Roo!”.
Bradley just manages to dive to avoid most of the explosion, but the blast has damaged his right aileron, with shrapnel striking his cockpit, cutting into his leg, and shearing off most of the F-18’s right elevator; he’s about to bail out of his jet into enemy territory for the second time in two years when he feels a warm hand close around his own on the stick, the battered aircraft suddenly stabilizing. “Let me show you the way home, kiddo,” a warm voice echoes in his ear, the ghost of a mustache whispering against his cheek, and as he looks out the corner of his eye, he can see the mirage of an F-14 on his wing, with a silver and blue-helmeted pilot at the stick.
Gently reassuring everyone over comms that he had control over the aircraft, especially Mav, whose fatherly concern is thinly veiled by military protocol, he miraculously makes it home, to the shock of his whole squadron when they see the state of the aircraft, everyone hugging him, Mav the tightest of all, who then promptly drags him to medical, and if the whole squadron along with its commanding officer decides to camp out in a particular room, the corpsmen decide not to mention anything.
Over the squadron’s long and storied history, it becomes a legend reverently whispered by every aviator assigned there, that if you ever find yourself in a mission gone bad, more often than not, you’ll feel a warm hand around yours on the stick, as a mustache ghosts against your cheek, and catch the faint sight of an F-14 at your wing with a silver and blue-helmed pilot at the stick, and eventually, also an F-18E with a black, white, and red-helmed pilot at the stick, VFA-223’s own guardian angels, ready to show their aviators the way home.

I feel like every transfem I’ve met loves video games and animes but as a transfem myself I’ve never really gotten into those :/ where are the tgirls who are into history and political documentaries????
On a serious note tho, do you have any video game recommendations for someone who’s never played before but wants to get into them so she can meet some other transfems that way?
there are definitely lots of transfems into history & political documentaries! i’d say those are nearly as stereotypically transfeminine as anime and videogames — but as somebody not into Magic the Gathering i feel you!!
the way i answer this depends on a lot of stuff — when you say you’ve never played, i need more details. this is like coming to me and asking “i’ve never seen a TV show before, what’s a good starter?” like. have you literally never touched a videogame before ever? like never held a controller? i’m gonna assume you’re exaggerating a little (although no shade if you’re not — i can still give recs for that too!) but even then, it’s hard to know what to recommend for an entire medium. do you have access to any gaming consoles? a computer? what genres do you like outside of gaming like horror, scifi, etc.
videogames are an interesting medium to recommend for, because you’re selling a type of gameplay AND the aesthetic package that surrounds it. for example, i like first-person shooter games because i love the adrenaline rush of reacting to a scenario i have the power to change in real time — but i skip a lot of shooters because i don’t like the everything-else part surrounding it. the difference between Call of Duty and Half-Life and Halo and DOOM means nothing to my mom but everything to the gamer girls
do you play any games of other genres — tabletop RPGs, card games, board games? there are often good analogies of those games in the videogame world. also, if you’re into politics and history you might like something like Hearts of Iron or some other grand strategy game like that (and i promise there are BUTTLOADS of transfems into basically all the big grandstrat games).
but yeah it sort of depends like, what about videogames is theoretically appealing to you? because you’re only gonna have fun with something that, well, you think is fun.
Portal & Portal 2 are both on the Switch and probably pretty runable on even a shitty computer and they definitely shouldn’t be too difficult if you have like basic videogame movement/camera literacy (which like! you might not! i’m really shooting blind here haha) — they’re well known for their incredible dialogue & outstanding voice acting performances
if you have access to a Switch (i know, assuming a lot here) then maybe one of the new Zelda games. Breath of the Wild has a high skill cap but is still fundamentally designed to be approachable to children. it’s about exploring a fun and imaginative world, and it has a pretty competent tutorial to set you on your way. again! it’s hard to give recs without knowing what we’re working with here.

Rui gets catified ohe au still in my head I like the idea of him being a guy who imbues stuff with magic and combines magic + engineering to create some truly whimsical things while tsukasa’s thing is imbuing his food with rpg type buffs/healing for adventurers (today’s special is a stir fry that improves your running speed). Both because I like the idea and also because I think in any au they need to have a shared interest to obsess over.
I think if I did write it it would be like… chapters of tsukasa and this Fucking Cat with interludes about how rks met and grew closer
In my beautiful mind palace
> the source of magic is fragments of feelings or whatever the hell they’re called. I’ve played this game for a year I should know this. wish pieces? Whatever. Those are the source of magic and people often go on expeditions to find them, which can be dangerous because there’s classic rpg type enemies out and about. Tsukasa tenma voice I don’t go out on expeditions because my job of helping people prepare for expeditions is too important (he went into the forest once and got attacked by a big bug like the ones in the Stardew valley mines and he classifies that moment as his greatest trauma)
> rui keeps to himself because people think that he does human experiments with the crazy wish piece harnessing gear he makes (incorrect he always tests it on himself) & they are scared of his silly little robots because giving life to the artificial bad (they’re not alive he just puts his will into them and that’s what they’re programmed to follow)
> nene brings rui to the cafe after she accompanies him on some sort of expedition & she’s like the owner is kind of a pain but the food is really good. She also wants to see emu (who likes hanging around tsukasa’s restaurant in her free time and annoying him/helping him with orders and waitressing/talking to saki) but she will not admit that
> before rui meets tsukasa saki has already left to travel with Leo/need. just for a bit. but tsukasa knows she’s definitely going to go on longer and longer trips and he is being so normal about this. No emu he’s not stress baking those 50 immaculately decorated cupcakes are for customers. Even though the restaurant is closed tomorrow. Ok fine you can take a bunch of them.
> rui thinks tsukasa is an interesting critter & tsukasa thinks he’s a weird guy who won’t touch vegetables but any friend of saki’s is a friend of his (he’s really stretching his logic. Emu is a friend of saki’s -> nene is friends with emu so she is by association a friend of saki’s -> rui is friends with nene who is friends with emu so he is also included in this). Tsukasa also forgets Rui’s name after this meeting it’s not his fault he sees so many people every day.
> rui eventually comes back for more food with nene because he is a lazy ass who hates cooking and also the food is just good. It’s during the mid day close to prepare for dinner rush but emu lets them in anyways. tsukasa is throwing a fit because the wish piece fueled oven is not working.
> while tsukasa is distracted by emu bugging him and nene making fun of him rui lets himself into the kitchen because he heard the siren’s song of a fun enriching task (fixing something and helping someone)
> tsukasa finds him and is like wtf get out (concerned for rui’s safety) & rui is like I fixed your oven and also your fridge and the freezer seems like it’s about to start malfunctioning you should get that fixed. (Post enrichment clarity) oh sorry I should have asked first.
> tsukasa is very enthused by rui’s knowledge and thinks it’s super cool & offers him a week of meals on the house for fixing it & they talk about the magic system for a while before he goes home
> rui takes him up on this offer. yay free food. He also offers to fix/improve tsukasa’s kitchen whenever needed for more free food and tsukasa is like yes of course i would be forever in your debt and rui is like ok great let’s make the oven reach up to 3000 degrees (has already started fucking with him)
> they grow closer over time & rui becomes a regular who visits by himself on a near daily basis (when he’s not busy)
> specific memory section of tsukasa bringing rui food and visiting him because he hadn’t seen rui in two weeks and was concerned. Which was fair Rui was locked in on a project. He gets to see all of Rui’s whimsical inventions. “Can you at least eat one vegetable I was chased by all sorts of unpleasant beasts on the way here (normal ass bugs)”
> specific memory of them going out on the town to buy ingredients and tsukasa nudging rui into socializing with people which in the long run dispels a lot of the “scary guy who lives in a house in the woods and does scary things there” rumors
> another specific memory of rui going into tsukasa’s kitchen while tsukasa is busy closing the restaurant & seeing ramune candy and being like yum don’t mind if i do & then tsukasa finds him and is like how many did u eat… bc they were specifically made to help with rui’s insomnia and mask the taste of sleep medicines/herbs (that rui refuses to take because they are green and leafy and therefore vegetable). Tsukasa has to drag rui up to his living space above the kitchen before he passes out so he can sleep it off which brings them into a new stage of their relationship: rui crashing at Tsukasa’s place when he’s too lazy to walk back home. He starts bringing work stuff with him & tsukasa only puts up a token complaint because ever since saki left he has been a little lonely.
> overall theme of “if you feed a stray cat it will not leave.” Sorry tsukasa you fed this man & now you’re stuck with him. Also the more boring theme of coping with people leaving (tsukasa) and actually interacting with people and becoming a part of the community (rui). Rui just kinda moves in after he gets un catted.
> I think emu should be a beast tamer type of character. Maybe Mr mascot is some huge scary beast she tamed & the otoris run a merchant guild that also transports people in and out of the wilderness.
> nene makes potions with wish pieces that can give you a quicker and more specific buff/heal on the go than what tsukasa’s food does but they met through this and have bonded over sharing methods and stuff. The food buffs are longer lasting than nene’s potions. but nene has potions that will allow you to get the buff you need for any situation exactly when you need it and they’re more concentrated. Think sdv meal that increases speed vs a coffee.
> ^ tsukasa could make more specific buffs for food but 1) there are so many and he is NOT keeping the ingredients for all of that on hand all the time 2) he likes variety and trying new things so if you go to him for a buff you’ve just gotta take what’s on the day’s menu.
> rui and nene have known each other for a long time and he frequently makes stuff to help her potion making + will accompany her on expeditions to get more wish pieces. She has to lead with that because if she says she’s gathering herbs he will refuse. Yes he will help her with her personal herb garden no he does not want to touch them once they’ve left the ground because he has chosen the anti vegetable hill to die on and die on it he will.
> emu met nene when accompanying her on a more dangerous expedition & frequents nene’s shop a lot for both the potions and to see her
> emu met tsukasa because he buys rare ingredients from her and she thought he was a funny little guy and now she is seemingly hellbent on eating him out of house and home. House and restaurant? Emu you can’t have a fifth helping of soup I have other customers. Ok fine just a little. Oh you’re hungry because of a long expedition ok you can have a sixth helping too.
> meiko is there she’s a merchant of sorts
> touya works at the library. This is relevant only because tsukasa doesn’t know shit about owning a cat and needed help.
> I want to throw an in there… maybe she’s at the library when tsukasa goes there in the story. Just because.

₊✩‧₊˚Your Biggest Fan! ˚₊✩‧₊
Tumblr media
Characters: Streamer (Y/N) x Yandere!Fan Potential to become a series. If you're interested, stay tuned and stay wary ♡ .ᐟ
You are the literal embodiment of a college student: stressed yet laidback at random times, too tired to put a lot of effort to dress up unless it counted, and--most relevant of all--broke. And in this instance, you are disastrously broke.
After the most heated argument with your parents you ever had in your life, they sent a text message when you got home stating that they would no longer be providing financial support unless there is an dire emergency. To say you were panicked would be an understatement. Your parents typically refused to not send you money when you told them you didn't need it (you did). As much as the family bickered and made up as fast as temperatures change, they always threw money your way. The argument was spontaneous and could not have come at a worse time. Before it happened, you shared with them that you had just gotten fired from your part-time job.
You flop on your bed and pull out your phone to doomscroll the afternoon away. Classes have taken the energy out of you. You could job search, but you decide you deserve a break.
After an hour, you come across a video of a big streamer talking about their income with their chat. Your interest piques at the revealed amount of money they receive from streaming alone and from sponsorships. Getting paid to do whatever you want? It sounded like a dream.
It starts as a simple thought, but it wakes up with you the next morning and trails with you to class. More videos of streamers pop up while you try and dine to entertainment. You distract yourself at night with games, but you wake up still thinking of it.
After two weeks of overthinking about expenses, you decide to give in to the temptation. You were lucky your dorm was already paid for, but groceries are becoming harder to obtain already.
You make an account on CommLines one night and decorate your profile--fonts and all. You didn't expect for research to come into play, but you need as much engagement as possible.
The next night, you prepare to do your first stream. You're going to need to get the hang of things and a fanbase before you're eligible for payment.
The first five streams go as expected: the only viewer you receive during one of your gameplays leaves after 10 minutes without saying anything. You end your last stream with a sigh. Admittedly, it's a bit awkward talking to yourself, but you needed to add some clips to another social media account you made.
After talking about your family predicament with a friend in class, they offer you a job at their family's restaurant. It's only for one day a week since their parents are skeptical about their child's friends all the time, but you take it anyway. Any income is better than no income. Thankfully, the restaurant colleagues treat you better than your last job. You actually find yourself enjoying the place (save for the lunch rush, of course).
You're no longer as desperate for money, so the next time you stream, you let yourself loose. You're getting bored of the popular FPS you've been streaming, so you try out a niche RPG you saw another streamer play. It's quite fun thinking of yourself as a YooTube creator now! You're not worried about your reactions and the best way to play as much anymore. From then on, you stream when you have free time and feel like it.
Over the span of four months, your platform grows at a tremendous rate due to someone making one of your clips grow viral (though they title the video embarrassingly: "Top 5 Screams from New Players of Scary Scary Town: Horror RPG!!"). Your numbers aren't quite there to get monetized yet, but you average 100+ viewers per stream now. Your heart beats with passion when you start one after finals.
"Hey everyone! Nice to see you all again! Mwah!" you greet, throwing a silly little kiss at the camera. "I'm having a great day today. First one to guess is getting pinned why is getting pinned. Even if no one guesses, I'll tell you anyway~!"
Messages flood the chat.
You grin as you finally spot an answer. "I see someone! Mr.OWO--I can't believe I just said that--you got it so fast. I'm guessing you might also have classes. Lemme figure out--sorry, this is my first time pinning someone, but I know it's possible....there! That's it; I passed all of my finals!"
Praises and cute emojis pile up. You thank your followers and open a video. "As the title suggests, I'm not gaming this time. I'm doing a bit of hobby-exploring. See here, a friend gifted me this wooden box to store some stuff. I want to paint it, but I'm not the best at coming up with ideas. I was hoping you guys might be able to help me."
And so, you begin. You answer questions from chat while taking suggestions as you paint. Your hands get messy, your job isn't perfect, but you're having a great time. There ends up being no theme, but you love the doodles regardless.
Another suggestion rolls in. You read, "'I think you should paint a fox with a bowtie. By the way, I'm surprised you got this far.' That's a cute one, though I'm not sure how to take that last sentence....SheepyWolf23."
Huh. That name looks familiar.
SheepyWolf23: i was your only viewer in one of your streams a few months ago. you were playing GotchaHand2.
You gasp. "Oh my gosh! It's you! How did you find me again?!"
SheepyWolf23: i just saw you on my FYP streaming page but with much more subs. just wanted to check in but ended up staying and subbing XD SheepyWolf23: cant wait to join more
A laugh escapes your lips as heat rushes to your face. "Thank you so much for coming back! Everyone, SheepyWolf23 is my first viewer of all time. Crazy how things change, huh?"
You continue the stream as normal, though your inner feelings are otherwise. By midnight, your box is finally complete. It certainly has personality that you thank the chat for gifting. With a wave, you end the stream and wipe your eyes with your wrist. It's late and you need to clean up before bed.
The next morning, you wake to get ready for school. All is typical until you skim your phone while packing lunch. You nearly drop your tupperware.
A notification from a direct message on CommLines reads:
SheepyWolf23: hey! hope i'm not disturbing. i see you haven't set up donations yet. how do you feel abt donos?
Your heart beats in your chest. This is your first private message from a subscriber. The alarm on your phone blares, making you flinch. You hurriedly prepare to leave the dorm to get to class on time. The sun shines bright and the breeze tickles your legs on the way to campus--a good sign, you hope. You're a bit early, so you slip into a seat quietly and take out your note-taking necessities. No one in real life knows you stream yet; you're shy at the thought. Despite having already shown your face to the internet, you wish no one in real life approaches you about your online activities. Therefore, you hold off on opening the app until after classes.
When that time came, you drive home as quick as possible and throw yourself on the bed. You take a deep breath before replying.
Streamer(Y/N): hi! no, you're not, don't worry! to be honest, i'm not sure how to receive them and whether im at the right level to
Ping!
Wow. They're fast. Then again, it is the time when both workers and students of all grades start leaving their buildings.
SheepyWolf23: wdym level? Streamer(Y/N): im not sure how to describe it. i guess what i mean is that i'm not "big" enough? tho i dont really emphasize getting big as much as it is to have fun! SheepyWolf23: ohhh. don't worry about that! you have to be a certain "level" to be monetized, but donations can come at any time! i can help you Streamer(Y/N): really? that would be nice if it's no trouble! Streamer(Y/N): you're not gonna hack me, are you? SheepyWolf23: of course not XD promise
The user messages you instructions and suggestions for resources that can be useful. You spend the next hour examining them and finally choose one. They guide you, from making the app account to linking it to your streaming account. As part of the promise, they do not ask for your personal identifiers of any kind--not even once. The only thing he does have is the username, which is the same as your username for streaming.
Streamer(Y/N): i think it's done! SheepyWolf23: yup, that should be all. let me try something just to be sure.
You don't have time to wonder what it could be before a ping! resounds from your phone. On it is a notification from the money transfer app stating that you received $50 from SheepyWolf23. You gape and frantically fly your fingers across the keyboard.
Streamer(Y/N): you didn't have to donate! i'm grateful for your help and that's enough for me, i promise SheepyWolf23: haha don't worry about it. please don't send the money back. it's part of my fun money. and n e way, you deserve it for the sudden growth! i get to be your first viewer and your first donator XD Streamer(Y/N): omg you're right. thank you so much!! i srsly mean it SheepyWolf23: ur welcome! im going out with friends tonight, so i should get ready now. see you next stream ᵔᴥᵔ Streamer(Y/N): oh okay okay, have a good night! thank you again!
SheepyWolf23 doesn't answer back, concluding the conversation. Your grin could break your face. It's been forever since you felt you were on the right track of something. Maybe this was the start of your path to be part of the Top 10 Streamers online.
Oh, who were you kidding? You weren't going to get that far yet, but you're going to enjoy trying to your fullest.
Your next couple streams are all successes. A few people went out of their way to clip parts of the recording themselves to post on Yootube, which both enlightened and terrified you. You were going to have to be more careful about what you say, but to be honest, you haven't run into any problems with that so far. Still, it's a little scary to think that strangers anywhere in the world are viewing you. That's a cost of your streaming content you were willing to take.
You're in quite a chipper mood in class one day when you feel a tap on the shoulder. Turning around, you find your friend, Sherry, behind you with a smile. She gestures for you to hurry up and pack your things so you both can leave for lunch together. You do so. It wasn't a normal occurrence to eat out with friends during the weekdays, so today was extra special!
You two hop into Sherry's car and head to her restaurant--the one you work at. You'd guess most wouldn't want to dine at their workplace, but Sherry's employees make mean meals. You're both quickly escorted to a booth and delivered food; Sherry, with the power of the daughter of an establishment, receives only the best service.
"Thank you again, girl," you cheer as you feast immediately. "I'm so glad things are doing well here, from what your dad said last shift, anyway."
Sherry chuckles. "Yeah, you know you're doing great in the food service when the rushes are torture. I'm so sorry. You're on your feet much more than I am."
"Oh, don't worry about it! I'm grateful for the job, and you have to deal with the nasty customers at the register. I hate hearing old ladies yell at you. I just want to punch them!"
"Please don't!" Sherry chides half-heartedly, pointing her straw at you. She suddenly whispers, "Anyway, I heard my mom and dad talking about raises last night. You're for sure getting one. It's not by a lot, but I figure you need it."
Your eyes brighten, and you jump forward to hold her hand. "Really?! Oh my gawd, thank you, Sherry! I love you so much! I could kiss you!"
Sherry laughs aloud as you mimic kissing her. You catch an elderly couple side-eyeing, but you don't care. You finally sit back down and release a light sigh. "I feel like I've been dreaming lately. Things are going so well, and I actually feel alive!"
"That sounds good! How come?"
"Well, first of all, this job. Then, uh--" You flicker your eyes to the wall and hide your smile a bit. "--my hobbies have been making me real happy. Like painting and playing games, you know? I also started clay-making. It's harder than I thought, but I think I'll get the hang of it sometime."
Much to your surprise, Sherry's smile falls. Her mouth opens and closes hesitantly before she finally says, "(Y/N), can you be honest with me?"
"Huh? Yeah, of course. I've always been."
"Are you....streaming?"
Your heart drops. Your mind shouts at you to laugh it off, but your voice is caught in your throat. Was it really necessary to lie to someone who's helped you this much?
You don't need to make the decision. Sherry rests her elbows on the table and offers a tiny smile. "You do, don't you."
"Yeah...I do. How did you know?"
"I saw one of your clips on YooTube. I chalked it up to similarity at first, but I searched a couple more videos and couldn't deny it was you." She chuckled. "Thank goodness I was right. It would have been embarrassing if I was wrong."
"Please don't tell anyone, Sherry."
"I won't. I haven't. I'm glad you're doing something that makes you happy, but...just be careful, okay?"
"I am, don't worry!"
"I mean it, (Y/N)." She fiddles with her fork and drops her gaze to her plate. "I know it might not be my place to say, but I saw some....things people said. They're mostly good things, though! It's just...in the comments of a video, I saw someone talking about your shirt...hanging a bit--um--down, you know?"
"Oh my gosh. I wasn't exposing myself too much, was I?"
"No no. I was just a bit of cleavage, but the person was making it a bigger deal than it was." She rolled her eyes. "Some guys act like they've never seen a woman."
You take a bit of your food with furrowed brows. "I can't believe it. Thank you. I'll be more careful. I was having fun--I didn't realize. Oh. How much of my streams do you watch, if you don't mind me asking?"
She waves her hand. "I don't pay much attention to videogames, even less streams. The only streamer I know except you is the big one with red hair. Don't worry about whether I'm watching! No offense, but I'd rather go thrifting and make vlogs for my TappyGram!"
"Oh right. I saw the new video you posted. The pink top with bows was so cute! Who was that girl shopping with you?"
"My cousin! We both like pastels, so we went to the mall together to find some. Let me show you the stuff I didn't post!"
Sherry pulls out her phone, and the day continues. After lunch, she drops you off and bids you farewell before heading home. You head to your car yourself, grateful your professor cancelled class. When you get to your dorm room, you shower, change, and search the comments of every YooTube video of you you could find. It's probably best not to look for the comments Sherry told you about, but you're curious--too curious for your own good.
You finally find it.
RedCarsAre_Sexy: aw man, almost saw her tits ⤷ 608x: wtf? ⤷ TwinkleMonster: people like you are why police exist
Your stomach twists. It's okay. It's the internet, after all. There's bound to be people with thoughts that are better kept in their dirty minds. Should you address these thoughts with your subscribers? It'll definitely tell them you absolutely do not want this kind of behavior, but what if it draws the wrong attention instead? What if it somehow becomes controversial?
Discouraged, you opt to focus on your studies and friends. They do a great job of distracting you from the matter, so much so that three weeks passed since your last stream.
You're eating alone at a fast food joint while watching videos when a notification from CommLines pops up.
SheepyWolf23: hey! everything okay? just checking since u normally stream at least once within two weeks
"I do?" you mumbled with a fry in your mouth. You two haven't conversed since they helped you with setting up donation, so it was a bit of a relief to hear from them again. A little touching that they're concerned enough to inquire about it too. You open the app and message back.
Streamer(Y/N): hi again! im doing okay, no worries! i didnt realize that much time has passed since my last stream. i've been so focused on irl stuff i never really planned a time when i'd come back SheepyWolf23: oh that makes sense. sorry if this made you uncomfortable Streamer(Y/N): no no, pls dont be sorry. i should have put something in my bio saying im taking a rest SheepyWolf23: true but i dont think a lot of ppl would go to your CommLines bio for that. how abt making a server instead? like on DisKord? it would be easier to make announcements and talk to fans. Streamer(Y/N): huh, maybe i should. i'll make one when i finish eating SheepyWolf23: yay! can i be your first member? yknow, to match the first streak XD Streamer(Y/N): LOL sure!
SheepyWolf23 doesn't respond. You read your message again. Did it sound mean? It is kind of dry. You shake your head. People exist outside of you. Perhaps they became busy.
You finish your meal and return to your dorm. Your eyes skim the bedroom. Although you had decorated it to become somewhere cozy, the room unexpectedly feels solemn. You grab your laptop and sit at your desk to begin making the server. Eyes flicker to your phone. You tap it once or twice, but the screen is blank save for your background and the time.
Once the server is finished, you immediately message SheepyWolf23 about it. You go about random activities until a ping! sounds from across the room an hour later. You sprint over and unlock your phone as fast as lightning.
SheepyWolf23: thanks for the invite! um. i know this might be much to add, but would you be comfortable with giving me permissions so i can decorate the server, no offense! it's great, you have the right channels, but i have some experience and think i can make improvements you might like. just give me a theme and i'll do it to your liking!
Admittedly, you did the bare minimum that you guessed a streamer might need in a server. You were more focused on finishing to send the invite to SheepyWolf23. Their offer was generous, but it'd be bad if their permissions affected you negatively. Well, you were the owner. You have the power to remove someone's permissions.
Streamer(Y/N): that would be nice. are you able to finish it tonight? SheepyWolf23: if i get started now, i can have it done by 11:30pm sharp. Streamer(Y/N): awesome! i'll send a reference photo of the type of style i wish for the server to have. most of all, i want it to be a friendly & safe place for subscribers to talk in. anyone can join, even nonsubscribers.
After sending the photo, you spend the day doing chores while waiting in anticipation. Your steps have a beat, and you let happy music echo throughout the room.
SheepyWolf23 sends a message of his completion just as you settle into bed. You check the server and are amazed. The titles of the channels are decorated, the channels are more organized, and they've even added a few of their own: Rules, Clip Dump, and Suggestions.
Streamer(Y/N): wow! thank you so much again for helping me. i'm so lucky to have your attention! Streamer(Y/N): oops, that kind of sounds strange haha SheepyWolf23: XD NOOO, it's alright dw! i appreciate it a lot! i just thought i'd help since i have some experience with marketing and streamers is all
Oh. So you weren't the only one they've worked with? That's definitely benefit your...career? Or was it a hobby? It'd probably have to wait until you actually make a livable wage to call it a career. You never thought about going beyond posting clips of your own videos to market yourself, but SheepyWolf23 might know other ways that'd suit your niche of viewers. They might even know of secrets and tricks to the platform you're on.
A question pops into your mind. You lick your lips, wondering if this is even a concern you should bring up at all. Searching for an answer online was fine, but personal guidance just felt more....considerate. You give in.
Streamer(Y/N): i have a question that might sound a bit personal for a streamer to ask. you don't have to do anything for me, but i'd like some advice if you're willing to share
SheepyWolf23: i'll try to help as much as i can. what do you wanna know? Streamer(Y/N): someone brought to my attention that a person left an unsavory comment about my body in a YooTube video. i know people saying things you don't like is part of streaming, but i want to know how to deal with my discomfort. i want to avoid blocking people from my streams as much as possible, though SheepyWolf23: hm. tbh part of dealing with it is exposure, but i know that sucks. how abt this: in exchange for helping you this far, i can be your (first!!!) moderator. i don't intend to do anything sketchy with the position. this way, i can remove chat privileges from users and make your stream flow easier
Streamer(Y/N): omg yes please! can i message you before my next stream to give you the permissions you need? SheepyWolf23: of curse! SheepyWolf23: of course* SheepyWolf23: im gonna head to bed. getting kind of sleepy and gotta work tmrow. take care, Streamer(Y/N)! Streamer(Y/N): goodnight SheepyWolf! thank you again for helping me, sleep well!
You shut off your phone, drop your phone to your chest, and squeal while kicking feet in the air. You got your first moderator, and you didn't have to make a posting! SheepyWolf23 is so kind to not only return to you but also be your companion. It wouldn't be so professional to become friends with them, but just the thought sends electricity through your body.
A yawn escapes your lips. You close your eyes and daydream about becoming part of the Top 10 Streamers on the internet. There would never be a need for you to clock in during early hours. Rarely will you have to hear the screech of an alarm. You'd live a double life: a student by day and an entertainer by night. People would laugh at your jokes, tune into your gameplay with friends and family, and mourn when you'd go on break. You would be on stage to receive an award for your performance, and you'd wipe a tear while thanking the fans that made it possible. A party would conclude the ceremony. Your favorite streamers would approach you with glasses of wine and congratulate your success. One or two would ask for your phone number. The group would clink glasses and cheers.
Once the party simmers down, you'd gather your items and head for the door. A person lacking physical characteristics would approach you and take your hand to whisk you into their--your--shared car.
The day kisses you farewell.

In a house far away from where your campus, a man older than you by only two years hugs his phone close to his chest in bed. He stares at his DMs on CommLines, a streaming platform he's all too familiar with. Euphoria rushes through his veins as he reads a message his newfound favorite streamer had sent.
Streamer(Y/N): wow! thank you so much again for helping me. i'm so lucky to have your attention!
He's received thanks before, but it's never been phrased like that. He didn't think he really needed to help with anything since you already had his attention because of your success journey. It isn't that much different from other streamers, admittedly, but it was different enough in the mere fact that HE was your number one.
He screenshots the message and adds it into his Hidden photo album. Your words are a blessing to poor him, who's been needing to find more enjoyment in his boring life.
He'll need to be careful not to take anymore overtime work. Your streaming schedule wasn't set yet, and he wasn't planning on missing one moment.
Not when your career was in his care.

deltarune is one of if not the only game i dont mind & even support chaptered releases for tbh. maybe im just biased but it feels like toby fox is handling it a lot better than other developers have. as a start, the chapters arent priced individually, which can add up fast. 2 whole chapters were free, & now its a single purchase for access to future chapters as well. you buy deltarune once on your device of choice & thats it
deltarune is also kind of a big game. every chapter focuses on a different dark world with brand new characters & mechanics. it seems easier from a developer standpoint & also makes it easier to digest as a player. its not just one long rush of dark worlds with player decided stopping points as your only break. dividing them up this way gives you more of a chance to breathe between adventures even if you play them all at once
i also think the growing cast works in deltarune for lore reasons. it works with it being an rpg, every area naturally has a unique set of themed enemies. it doesnt feel overwhelming imo. plus they arent all one & dones, everyone can come back to castle town. they dont just cease to exist when the chapter ends
deltarune is very purposeful in a way some other games just arent. characters arent being made just to be made, the story has direction. deltarune is made with love & passion, it has a story it wants to tell but itll take time to tell it the way it deserves to be told. chaptered releases might seem easier than making & releasing a whole game all at once but if you dont have everything planned out properly its gonna be messy
my final reason is that these releases are extending the longevity of the fandom in a way that is desperately needed with current fandom culture. lots of things are being binged & discarded in a matter of months bc theyre not the hot new thing anymore. ppl are moving on very quickly. each deltarune chapter provides suspense & gives us all plenty of room to theorize & get excited abt what could come next! its the same reason spaced out releases of tv show episodes is often better than releasing them all at once, even if we have to wait years instead of weeks for new chapters. can you even imagine the hype for the very last chapter being released??!! itll be so surreal!!!
i just think deltarune is very cool :)

Hi! I recently discovered your Deciphering comic and I adore the story.
I was wondering if you have a post somewhere explaining the fantasy/magic aspect?
Thank you! ^^ Ouf, what a question. If I understand it correctly, you are asking not about the meaning of magic, but "why" the magic. If I'm wrong, please correct me. Welp, I wrote several times that the idea came to me out of nowhere after finishing the initial surrealism-free script and I just went with it. I guess I should explain that it wasn't really out of nowhere. I always liked fantasy, I adore dragons and the feeling of a fairytale, but the aspect of standard magic just doesn't sit well with me. Modern standard magic lost anything magical to me because usually there's no mystery in it, most of the time it's too rational, overexplained, it feels taken out of videogames. I love a good fantasy RPG, don't get me wrong, but its magic feels… mundane. It's charmless. While now I can say that my favorite type of magic is an unexplained primordial horror, the mysterious unknown. Also, I don't remember the exact phrase and where I heard it, but I was charmed by the idea of "it is so stylized, it is so unreal, that by a shear contrast it makes the drama feel so painfully realistic". The idea of using unreal to tell a realistic story intrigued me for years but I didn't know how to create such story, and I still don't, I'm only trying to find a way. How to show loss not directly talking about it? How to describe the unrequited love with visual media?
But that's not the whole story. Excuse me for being wordy. I feel like adding some notes about my background would be good for understanding.
The thing is I was also preparing to do big comics one day for 10 years. Yeah, that stupid long. Only preparing and not doing the exact thing. I was studying writing scripts, practicing my drawing skills, writing fanfiction, drawing illustrations - and I was creating tiny comics, but the key word is "tiny". I thought I'd never be prepared and worthy enough to do a big comic, so I tried to write a sci-fi novel, but it felt too dry and dull. I thought, well, maybe comics are not for me, "I don't want to spend years on creating one thing" - and was surprisingly upset every time HRs looked at the little comics in my portfolio and shrugged, told me to remove it, "you are a concept artist, not a comic artist". I couldn't put my finger why I was so upset, why I felt so constrained by words of strangers, because duh, it's only logical. And maybe I'd continue thinking like that.
Untill 2022. Deciphering has happened in a, dare I say, quite unusual time in my life, war to be exact. Fortunately, I was unharmed, but emotionally drained and numb for months. Gosh, I tried to watch Evangelion for the third time and finally liked it, it resonated perfectly with a void in my chest. Having a warzone in 5 kilometers from my home, regular rockets above my roof, news about local potentially dangerous looters and emotionally charged neighbors with opposite views still didn't bring me to moving from my place. I couldn't stand the thought of being pitied as a victim and the impossibility to be understood, it was painful to think about. So I stayed and decided that if the rocket form any side fall at my house, welp, I'd die together with my family. That's when I've created Facade. And after finishing it I thought: "This. This is what I want to do even if I die next day. I finally felt it. I'm finally creating the thing I dreamt about most of my life". I wrote a script, created concepts for outfits and 3d-model for Miles's office and left my stinky job. I entered a stubborn samurai mode, maniacally drawing 5 days a week with a thought of dying while doing the thing I love the most no matter what, because fuck the world, you don't know me, you don't own me, you can kill me if you want me to stop. I'm not a fan of the first 40-50 pages of Deciphering, they are quite rushed, jee, I've done them in two months. But then life turned petty and regular power outages left me without my passion as I'm mostly a digital artist now, and I thought, huh, maybe I should move. Only to the country majority of people would not expect me to move. Soooo yeah, I can say the war was a final straw for me to start making comics x) It’s quite extreme, so please, listen to my advice, start doing your art just because you want to.
Let's return to your question. Why magic? Because it is a pure escapism.
After finishing the script I went to bed feeling uneasy, was that all I wanted to say. Well, duh, it's a gay fancomic, why do I even need to say more. It's just silly, restrain yourself, it's 22 pages script, it's perfecly fine. And then I thought about flowers and sword, the duality of vulnerability, the first thing that started this whole surrealism shtick. I added it without a doubt and started drawing the comic. Then I intuitively thought, hey, wouldn't it be fun to have a sword fight with magical swords out of nowhere just to symbolize characters’ relationship - and I got scared again, if I'm going too extra, if I’m too much, maybe I shouldn't, it would look strange… But I could die. So what is stopping me? What is that thing that holds me back? My own skills are the only limit. There is no freakin' soul who would tell me to restrain my creativity. I can be as bold as I want and ridiculous as I can – so why shouldn’t I add more magical stuff because I feel with my artistic instincts that they fit? I am my one and only limit, I don’t even earn money with this comic, I don’t need to please anyone, it’s a pure and unfiltered freedom of self-expression I yearned for years. I still feel this way with every new addition to the script, but without thoughts of a sudden death, fortunately ^^’. If I’m too much, if the comic is too much, would people like it, will I regret my decision, will it ruin the last bits of pacing this comic left, will this magic symbolism would be too hard to understand, oh, I’d be upset if it will fly above their heads, maybe I should stop, yeah, I should stop, no, I don’t want to, I feel like it is a right thing to draw next, I’m so scared, no, it’s fine, so what if I’ll regret it later, it will be future me who would regret it. It doesn't matter that I added this kind of magic to the story of Ace Attorney. I feel like any fandom could be my prey, eheh, if I felt as strong connection as I did with Miles and Phoenix at that time. It's not a case of planning. It’s just, well, my chaotic personality colliding with these characters in a right place (?) at the right (???) time.
So why there is magic? Because I feel that I can tell more using it.

ohhh I have brainrot and seek tooth rotting fluff, what were lazy mornings with Jules like? or maybe when he got off work, how did he like to wind down with mc?
Please rot your teeth with us as we go on this journey together ~
Lets spoil you a little and provide BOTH answers ヾ(≧▽≦*)o
Lazy mornings? EASY. Jules loves nothing more than being able to curl up with his lover and just enjoy being with them. No rush, no expectations, just him, his lover and the warm morning bliss.
Don’t like spending time in bed? That’s fine. He’ll make you both your morning drink and you can chill out on the couch instead, talking nonsense, or cuddling or parallel play! He just wants to be with you. That’s all he really wants
As to how he likes to wind down after work? Julian is a gamer boy and would either like to build a farm with you, or play an RPG were you both can enjoy the story and the game play!
Or perhaps you aren’t into gaming? He would love nothing more than you being able to parallel play with him. Reading? Sure thing, just make sure to do it on his lap. Crocheting? Drawing? Listening to music? Same. He is a big guy, he can have you on his lap and still do his own thing.
Can you tell his love language? We are certain we were being like SUPER SUBTLE about it.

Recently, I've been playing a game called Wanderstop that released just this week. It's made by the same dev team behind The Stanley Parable with music composed by C418, the musician behind Minecraft's OST. Wanderstop has been really been a welcome change of pace for me inbetween all of these big budget gacha releases, Kodaka projects like Tribe Nine and Hundred Line Defense Academy, and lengthy RPGs.
Tumblr media
I've been wanting a new "cozy" game to play. I tried Fields of Mistria and it's fine but to me it's in the same vein as Stardew Valley. I have this issue specifically with new Cozy games where they're not exactly "cozy" or slow paced at all. They're tycoon games pretending to be "Cozy" imo lol and that's fine by me, but every once in a while we get an actual game that really lets you immerse yourself in the cozy little atmosphere it's trying to create.
Wanderstop is a cute 3D storytelling game where you play as a woman named Alta who is a hardened warrior who has never lost a fight, until she lost two battles in a row. Determined to get back on her feet, she searches for an old warrior named Master Winters, but instead comes across a tea shop run by an eccentric little guy named Boro.
The game primarily focuses on Alta making tea for both the customers that come to the shop, and herself as she tries to get into the right headspace and figure out "what's wrong with her".
Tumblr media
My favorite thing about this game aside from the way there's no real rush to do anything, is the characters themselves. Particularly Alta is a really great main character, and while she is a deeply troubled person, I find a lot of her struggles relatable to my own average life.
I enjoyed hearing a lot of Alta's personal thoughts and slowly unraveling her backstory as I made different kinds of tea. Even though Wanderstop presents itself as a game where "there's nothing to really do", there was always something to do in regards to Alta and wanting to know more about her as a character.
And her voice actress does a really great job at portraying her character! A lot of the scenes are filled with so much emotion that I really felt for her most of the time. Honestly, I think Alta's the best part about Wanderstop because she's not at all a flat unemotional Main character for you to project yourself onto. Even though her whole "occupation" as a warrior is pretty generic and isn't easily defined through the game, there's enough of her personality to separate herself from the player and cement Alta as a character to be read about, rather than to be an avatar merely for the player to experience the tea shop.
My other favorite thing about this game is just how free it is, and how there's no rules, restrictions, or punishments for doing whatever you actually want to do. As I said before, a LOT of cozy games are just tycoon business games in disguise. Wanderstop isn't like that all, there's no big huge goal for you to work towards, you can serve customers completely at your own pace, make tea at your own pace, and garden whatever you'd like at the moment. You get to decide your schedule for that play session, and I enjoy that aspect very much.
Tumblr media
And making the tea is also really fun. You can pretty much chuck whatever you want into the giant tea machine and then serve it or drink it to learn what new reactions the characters will have. If you're not the kind of person who likes a slow pace to their games, then I don't think Wanderstop will really be for you.
In my opinion, Wanderstop is similar in vein to Spiritfarer. They're both great games, but with heavy narrative and a VERY slow game progression with "not a lot to do" and a lot of freedom to do what you want for that game session.
So yeah, check out Wanderstop I've really been liking it so far and it's been great! I actually want to do a second play through once I'm finally finished just so i can see what i missed or if I can solve some customers problems haha.
