So i posted a cute image of a Korok puzzle I saw at DragonCon back in like August. It’s a cute image and it was a fun experience. It would get likes and stuff and last week it was like a 700 note post.

Idk what happened on Tuesday but it is currently a 4300 note post and someone tagged it as “looks like a 10k” so RIP my notifs I guess.

My current record holder is also a Zelda flavored DragonCon post - a video of a life size, stationary guardian which I was very anxious to stand next to (its creator enjoys scaring Link cosplayers) sits at about 7500 and never had the momentum this Korok post currently has.

Something I was meaning to write out for a LOOOOOOOOOONG time now (and I mean, like for YEARS) but now that the finale's out I really wanna mention this-

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned it SOMEWHERE on this blog (if I haven't, I need to add it to the About section whenever I stop being depressed) but Alastor when in Devil/Fae unlimited form has a power level that puts him in the lower top third of the Angel/Hell's Hierarchy. Other strong Overlords would be in this area as well but since I'm flexible on who else is in the 'Honorary Angel' Club given I want to leave it open for any RP partners who may want their muse to join in on the Main Verse fun, Alastor's the main example of this phenomenon on this blog.

It's one of the reasons why the 'True Angels' are wary and keep a close eye on Alastor since only a few of them, the stronger of the Seven Deadly Sins, and the Royal Family of Hell would be able to stop him if he somehow broke the Seraph's control and went on a rampage.

That said, whenever I RP with other Alastors or with multiverse/Devil-Fae Al with other Hazbin muses and in the past, I deliberately hold my Alastor back and allow him to get hurt if he pokes the tiger too much and they lash out. But the potential for him to do serious damage to and even kill other muses is always there, I just try to make it fair and fun for everyone with this over powered bastard involved. (Also, I was waiting to see if we would get more information on his abilities as well as the ones I headcanon/gave to my au Alastor but eh. The lazy writing/brainstorming was always secondary.)

Why am I making a point to make myself write this out now? Well... Something happens in the Finale (no spoilers here) but given I used to RP another over powered muse who (spoilers *cough* does take damage *cough*) on screen, some people would assume that meant just any Muse could walk up and beat up/physically attack my muse and NOT have their muse be dealt with at the Power Level my muse had. Which can be fine if their muse is the same power level and we both know that or if we discussed it beforehand, and-or the situation allows them to (see above examples). But it was so annoying to deal with and made me not want to do certain ideas and threads I originally was excited about. I just don't want that to happen here when I get more consistent Muse back and try to get more active. So I'm making sure I write it out and put it on the blog somewhere NOW while I'm thinking of it.

I wrote this for me, because it wouldn't get out of my head. I'm sharing it with you because it's fun and I want to fangirl about it with someone who's read it.

This shouldn't be that difficult to understand. Every book will appeal to different people. But if you never write the book and share it, you will never get to look back on it and say "I wrote that."

Every book is a learning process. With each one you write, you get better. Even if the only person who reads it is you, you did that. Be proud of yourself. Not everyone makes it even that far.

. . . dark, single muse template: 8 pages, includes magic ability info. has a title page, character basics and personality description on the second page, appearance description and personality notes on the third, appearance and magic notes on the fourth, a connections page to showcase characters they know, 2 pages for backstory and an extras page where you can pretty much put anything you want, so long as you keep the credit. this document is mobile friendly! the line colours are default ones. if you're using, please keep the credit and consider a like and reblog. goes a long way to help creators out! HOW TO USE this doc uses a few tables so i suggest having some knowledge on how they work if you plan on editing anything about the appearance of them. i also recommend keeping your text around the same number of lines as shown in the template. it prevents the doc from going all wonky! to edit the images, click the original image and select the "replace image" button. i suggest making sure the images you want to add are a similar style to the original - similar size or shape. the red star symbols/emojis are for inserting links. copy your link, highlight the star, click the little 'insert link' button, and insert your link - I like to change the colour of my stars once the link is filled in, but you don't have to. PC Once you have the document open, go to the top bar and click "file". There will be a "make a copy button" that appears third down from the list. Then you can name your version of the document and go from there! MOBILE Open the document in your standard browser and click the 'open in app' button. From there, click the "..." button at the top right corner and select "share & export" button. FEELING LIKE YOU HAVE TO EARN THEIR LOVE (after all, you’ve loved them for how long?)

let’s talk about it—so many shifters have spent hours obsessing over their comfort characters. like, not just casually liking them, but worshipping every single thing they do. from their messy hair to their stupid one-liners to how they hold a coffee cup—clocked it all. you’ve been practically crawling through the desert for their every move, memorizing their quirks, and feeling tsunamis of emotion over the tiniest details. they yawned? perfection. they glared? iconic. they exist? life-changing. i don’t have to explain this to you, you get the picture

so when you shift your awareness to your desired reality and meet them—right in front of you? yeah, it’s a whole new ball game now. you’re face-to-face with this person you’ve basically put on a pedestal for years, and suddenly it’s like, “i’ve gotta play catch-up now?” because seriously—you’ve already poured gallons of love and energy into them, but they’re just meeting you for the first time. they don’t have the context, the fanfiction, or the Pinterest boards. they don’t know you’ve been their day-one, silently adoring them from across realities (well, depending on what you script of course. maybe they do *shrug*)

it’s completely natural to feel like you’ve gotta put in the work to even things out. you’re out here thinking, “how do I make them see me the way I see them?” through your script you’re trying to charm them, show off your personality, and make sure they fall as hard as you already have. you might feel like every move has to be flawless, like you’re auditioning for the role of Most Important Person in Their Life

gentle reminder that your comfort character isn’t just a walking aesthetic—they’re layered, real, and perfectly imperfect (which, tbh, is probably why you fell for them in the first place.) and once they catch even a glimpse of who you are, it’s game over for them. they’re gonna feel that energy you’ve been radiating for years, and it’ll be magnetic (they’re gonna be sooo glued to you you’re gonna be looking at them like they’re crazy.)

so why does it matter? at the end of the day, script whatever you want the people in your DR to feel about you, script experiences to bring you closer until your fingers fall off and your head pops—their unconditional love for you is inevitable, so why should anyone be concerned about the rest stops on the trip there?

Can I just say how much I adore the domesticity Lee Majdoub brings to his role as Agent Stone?

Especially knowing how he approached the role as him and Robotnik both being orphans, which gave them a point of connection from the very beginning.

Sure, his character could look at him and just be in awe of his brilliance (even tho our boy Stone canonically has 1 IQ point higher than him) or just fall over himself to appease him. But he doesn’t.

It might look like he does. He’s constantly bending over backwards to accommodate him and take care of him, but it’s not because he’s a mindless sycophant. It’s because he knows what it’s like to be alone and he doesn’t want Robotnik to feel that way anymore.

When we first meet Robotnik, everything about him is all shiny and chrome. But as Stone becomes more involved in the series, we see all these soft little touches being added. He takes those sterile spaces and makes them an actual home with additions like the granny square blanket.

(It’s not confirmed but regardless the man has shown he’s proficient in the textile arts, dammit. And who else is that crab is gonna make a granny square blanket?! WHO???!!!)

He cooks, he cleans, he tailors, he makes coffee, he helps him with his evil plans, he supports him and his dreams, he takes care of him.

Most importantly, he’s there for him, no matter what.

Robotnik consistently laments the fact he never had a family throughout the series, but he does.

Agent Stone took the time to learn how to do all of these things and also to share them with Robotnik. Because he understands home and family are what you make, not about who you share genes with.

And like, even when Robotnik bounces to go hang out with his long lost grandpa, Stone’s only concern is that he’s not being completely honest with him and that Robotnik could get hurt and he’s right.

He doesn’t tell him to stop spending time with him or that he shouldn’t care about him. He knows how much Robotnik has always craved a familial connection and now he has one! He’s willing to step back, even though it pains him, so Robotnik can realize that dream.

And when he’s proven right, he doesn’t gloat or act betrayed (even though tbh he has every reason to). He’s still there for him. Because Robotnik is his family.

The movies are all about found family and how, even if you lose the people important to you, that doesn’t mean you’ll never find someone to love and be loved by in return. We see that with both Sonic and Shadow. And especially in Maria’s quote about how “The light shines, even though the star is gone.”

Love is a choice. How you express love is a choice. This is especially true in the third movie. Robotnik’s grandfather is ready to burn everything to the ground so everyone else knows how Maria was taken too soon and feels his pain. But he had an opportunity to build a new relationship with his other grandchild. To take the love he had for Maria and her love for him and to share it with Robotnik. He can choose to love and be loved in return.

It’s not like Robotnik doesn’t freely give him his love. Even when his grandpa is about to straight up murder him, he still has a moment where he wants to tell him he loves him. Even after all his grandpa has to say to him is “You’re no Maria.”

Stone and Maria are great parallels too. Robotnik in the first movie feels so removed from humanity. His #1 priority is himself. And I think if he’d met his grandpa in the first movie, before he’d built his relationship with Stone, he truly would’ve believed his grandfather when he said, “There’s no one down there who cares about you.”

Instead he sacrifices himself (hopefully he‘s still alive somehow, please please please) for the sake of humanity. Or, tbh for the sake of his real family. He murked his grandpa without batting an eye the second he realized Stone was in danger.

We see this paralleled with Sonic too after Tom is hurt. He lets his grief and fear get the better of him and he initially makes the same decision as Shadow and Gerald did. He chooses to act in hurt and anger. Shadow calls him out on it too, telling him he made the same choice to take revenge, regardless of what the people he loves would actually want him to do.

IDK MAN. I just love these movies so much and I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS. T^T
