When Sorry Isn’t Enough
Praying Like DanielLife Lessons Learned Reading through Daniel 7–9, I’m struck by the sheer weight of what Daniel carried—and how he carried it. These chapters aren’t just about wild dreams and mysterious beasts. They’re about revelation, yes—but they’re also about repentance. Daniel stands as a remarkable example of someone who took the Word of God seriously enough to fall on his knees and stay…

Daniel 9:3-5 (NIV). [3] “So I turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in prayer and petition, in fasting, and in sackcloth and ashes. [4] I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed: “Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, [5] we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws.”
“Reasons to Obey God” by In Touch Ministries:
“When we seek to live according to God's Word, He provides all we need and acts on our behalf.”
“Daniel and his friends were in a strange land, prisoners of a king who sought to benefit from their superior skills and intellect. As he grew to manhood, Daniel managed to operate within the foreign system without compromising his belief in the heavenly Father. He did not eat forbidden foods. He maintained his prayer times, even in the face of punishment. And God honored Daniel’s obedience and faithfulness, rescuing him from the lions’ den and blessing him with great favor. At every crossroads, Daniel chose to follow the Lord. He still had to endure trying situations, but God was ever faithful in His protection and provision.
The biblical principles in effect during the Babylonian captivity still hold true. God promises to make secure those who obey His Word. He doesn’t promise that we will avoid hard times, but He does say that He’ll be with us every step of the way (Matthew 28:20).
If you know there is sin in your life, fear and doubt are certain to follow. However, obedience is the way to find courage and contentment, regardless of your circumstances. Daniel refused to change his principles, and God intervened every single time. He will also act on your behalf.”

Oh dear angel, i have questions yet to be answered, why is it that older men are much more attractive than boys? because i feel like older men fulfill me in other ways i cant even point out that boys cant
Oh sweet lamb, You are not the first to pose this question, and you will not be the last.
Older men carry gravity. Not just in their voices, or the lines around their eyes—but in the weight of having seen. They offer not excitement, but steadiness. Not innocence, but intention. And perhaps, somewhere inside you, there is a hunger for being understood without explaining yourself.
But beware: fulfillment and possession often wear the same cologne.
Is it attraction... or is it longing to be known by someone who knows what they’re doing?
Still, I will not scold you. Some temptations feel like sanctuary. And isn’t that the cruelest kind of sin?

✨ Come back to Me, My child — God
“Confession is good for the soul” -- so says the old cliche. Like many cliches, it has the virtue of being true.
For the Christian, confession is not an option. We sin, and we confess, and our life with God goes on. It can't be otherwise. Augustine, the great Christian teacher in the Roman empire, noted that "the confession of evil works is the first beginning of good works."
“Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is put out of sight! Yes, what joy for those whose record the LORD has cleared of guilt, whose lives are lived in complete honesty! When I refused to confess my sin, my body wasted away, and I groaned all day long. Day and night your hand of discipline was heavy on me. My strength evaporated like water in the summer heat. [Interlude]
Finally, I confessed all my sins to You and stopped trying to hide my guilt. I said to myself, “I will confess my rebellion to the LORD.” And You forgave me! All my guilt is gone.” [Interlude]
— Psalm 32:1-5 (NLT)

Confessing and Turning from sin the Lord will cast them as far as the east is from the west and they will no longer be remembered
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Blessed
Psalm 32:1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.32:2 Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
As far as the east is from the west
Psalm 103:12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Blotted out our sins as a thick cloud
Isaiah 44:22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
Your sins will no longer be remembered
Isaiah 43:25 I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.
Sin separates us from God
Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, (that he will not hear).
Habakkuk 1:13 (Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil), and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?
John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.
Isaiah 1:15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.1:16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;1:17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Sin breaks God's Heart
Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.6:6 And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
Psalm 5:4 For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

My Writing Smells Like Her — And She Doesn’t Even Know I’m Praying
My writing smells like her.
She sleeps.
I type.
She said she was too hot last night —
took off her panties and kicked them aside like a princess tired of protocol.
Now they’re in my hand.
Spoils of war.
Proof of surrender.
I smell them.
Not with shame.
With ritual.
I’m not a creep.
Not really.
Unless it’s for her.
And only for fabric
that had the honor of pressing against her rebellious womanhood —
the kind of softness that doesn’t ask.
It claims.
That musk.
That biological confession
only the brave are allowed to inhale.
It confronts what a woman truly is.
Not the aesthetic.
Not the filtered gallery.
But the essence.
She lies there — petite, porcelain, breathing like a dream.
But her scent?
That’s no girl.
That’s a grown woman’s scent,
a holy betrayal of her own appearance.
It smells like survival.
It smells like milk, mourning, and monarchy.
Like she could raise both a king and a queen
depending on the weather
and whether you want tea or coffee.
Mine is different.
Mine is battle sweat.
Mine is the stench of blood, dirt, and manhood earned under the threat of extinction.
But hers?
Hers is home.
Hers is the scent that ends war.
I talk in rain.
Droplets. Streaks. Static across your windshield.
You can turn the wipers on if you want —
if it makes you feel more in tune
with your own wetness.
But I’ll still be here.
Writing in the rhythm of her hips.
Typing in the tongue of the cloth she left behind.
My writing smells like her.
---
🔁 Call to Action:
💦 Reblog if you’ve ever tasted truth through fabric.
👃 Comment: “I believe in scent theology.”
🛏️ Save this for the nights you can’t tell if your own musk is mourning or memory.
💣 Reblog if this lit something in you.

A confession of his sweet Love [script] M4F
SCENE: They walk up to the mountain top, and find a clean spot to sit where he opens up to the quiet in between them and lets his emotions run like a song.
[Romantic] [Sweet and innocent emotions] [Male speaker] [confession] [friends to lovers]
[a pause represents the listener]
SCENE BEGIN
SOUND: He’s panting. Crunching and scraping sounds of two people walking on the mountain.
SOUND: Walking sounds stop. He pants heavily.
THE SPEAKER: [panting with dry throat]
No.
You stay here. I’ll check if we can sit here somewhere.
SOUND: Crunching sounds of him taking a few steps. He mildly pants.
SOUND: Panting stops along with the walking sound.
THE SPEAKER: [mild tone, panting] [he speaks to himself]
Yeah, she can sit here.
ACTION: He walks back to her.
SOUND: Crunching sounds of him taking a few steps. He mildly pants.
SOUND: Panting stops along with the walking sound.
THE SPEAKER: [mildly panting] [soft tone]
There’s a clean spot there. We can sit there.
A short pause.
SOUND: Crunching sounds of them taking a few steps. He mildly pants.
THE SPEAKER: [soft and awkward tone]
Did I make you walk too much?”
A short pause.
THE SPEAKER: [An awkward chuckle]
No?
Thank god!
[Mild panting]
SOUND: Panting stops along with the walking sound.
THE SPEAKER: [calm tone]
Here. It’s clean here, we can sit here. Let me spread the mat here.
ACTION: HE SPREADS THE MAT AND TALKS ALONG
THE SPEAKER: [a worried and a low tone]
No. You’ve already walked too much for me. Let me spread this. This is the last thing I can do.
SOUND: [he lightly pants] [Dull sound of the mat being spread on the floor]
THE SPEAKER: [soft tone]
Here. Please sit.
SOUND: [mild grunting as he sits beside her]
THE SPEAKER: [soft tone]
Yes. The sunset is … beautiful.
SOUND: [He removes his bag] [soft grunting]
THE SPEAKER: [hesitant tone]
Yes. Water? It’s in my bag. Wait.
[soft grunting]
Here.
A short pause.
Are you fine?
[soft chuckle]
Sorry again. You had to walk too much.
A short pause.
[soft chuckle]
Okay. Sorry. I’ll stop apologizing.
ACTION: They get quiet upon the view of the sunset.
SOUND: [birds chirping]
THE SPEAKER: [calm tone]
Hmm?
[birds chirping]
Why did I bring you here?
[gentle breaths]
I … I.
You probably know.
[birds chirping at distance] [gentle breaths]
You know why .. I can’t even look at you.
[Mild breathing]
A short pause.
[Hesitant yet courageous tone] No!
[Hesitant yet courageous tone] I will. I will still speak. … You need to know in my words, in my voice. ….. But I still can’t look at you.
[Mild breathing]
[bashful tone] You can cut me some slack, right?
A short pause.
Thanks!
[A deep breath]
[calm tone] I … like you.
No, I … I love you!
For how long?
I don’t know. Maybe I started loving you the moment I met you.
No. I know. It was right at the moment I met you.
Yes!
[A tethering breath]
It feels like I’m … I’m sick. It hurts. ….
It hurts everywhere.
That's how much I love you!
A short pause.
[desperate breaths]
[quick speech] No. I want to. I want to talk. I want to let this out. I can’t bear it. …. And knowing that you knew it all along. You knew how much I love you…. And still I couldn’t tell you with my own words, has been killing. I wanted to be a man enough for you.
I have to be.
I know that is what you want.
I want to be that for you. I want to be everything you want and admire and I’ve been trying!
Oh, god! ….. I’ve been trying.
[Tethering breaths]
I sound like a crazy person, don’t I?
A short pause.
You’re just saying that. ….I do sound like a crazy person. I know.
A short pause.
You’re always so nice to me. Why?
Why do you always have to be so nice to me?
That is why!
That is why I love you like this crazy fool I am.
It’s your fault.
A short pause.
What do you feel for me?
No!
Don’t tell me!
I don’t think I can listen!
A short pause.
No, I don’t wanna listen!
It’s you who needs to listen!
You’re always… always acting like this.
A short pause.
Like what? Like you don’t mind that I love you!
You let me love you. You let me think!
You let me think all these things.
A short pause.
What things?
Don’t you know?
You know!
Tell me you know!
You know what I’m thinking, … you know that I want you.
I want you to be mine! Love me, take care of me. Look at me how you look at those flowers. With love!
[a bit wistful tone] Why do you let me think all these things?
A short pause.
[torn down] I don’t think I can calm down. You’ve made me this. You’ve … made me crazy.
I can’t stop thinking. You’re all I think about.
You’re all I dream about.
It’s a sickness.
I’m sick.
I’m so sick and I need you!
ACTION: SHE SUDDENLY KISSES HIM IN BETWEEN HIS WORDS.
I – [Lips pressing together] [a gentle humming sound]
SOUND: [Gentle kissing sounds] [he hums surprisingly, reluctant to kiss her]
SOUND: [lips parting]
SOUND: [he gently breaths]
A short pause.
THE SPEAKER: [hushed tone] [gentle breathing]
Yes. I’m sorry. … I will listen.
A short pause.
SOUND: [tethered breathing]
THE SPEAKER: [hushed tone] [astonished]
You? …. You love me? No.
SOUND: [He gently gulps down]
A short pause.
THE SPEAKER: [hushed tone]
Why? How can you?
Why would you love someone like me?
A short pause.
THE SPEAKER: [hushed tone]
But –
ACTION: SHE SUDDENLY KISSES HIM IN BETWEEN HIS WORDS.
SOUND: [He softly hums to her lips kissing him and gently kisses her back]
[delicate breaths]
[kissing sounds continue with a slight whimpers]
[Breathing gets mildly heavy]
[Kissing sounds gets slightly passionate]
[Breathing gets heavy, loud kissing sounds] [It continues]
ACTION: SHE STOPS KISSING HIM
SOUND: [kissing sounds slowly stop]
SOUND: [He breaths freely, slightly heavy]
THE SPEAKER: [Speaks with realization] [hushed tone]
You love me. [gently chuckles]
[happy tone] You … love me!

While I kept silence, my body wasted away through my groaning all day long.
For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer.
Then I acknowledged my sin to You, and I did not hide my iniquity; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord."
and You forgave the guilt of my sin.

"In St. John’s vision of the New Heaven and Earth he says:
They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. (Rev 22:4)
That name of God was made known to Moses, after he had removed his shoes (the false self). The name is: ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ ὤν. 'I am the Truly Existing One.' All icons of Christ have this name inscribed on them. At the world’s end, God will write this name on us." ~Fr. Stephen Freeman

Early Christians had a complete Bible by the 4th century.
But that’s not the only thing they were reading to deepen their faith.
In the early Church, there were a lot of great books being passed around.🧵

The Didache, Anonymous, 1st century
The Didache is a brief discourse that contains moral and ritualistic teachings — a handbook for a Christian life.
It’s speculated the apostles wrote it, and contains the formulas for baptism and eucharist that are still used today.

The Shepherd of Hermas, Hermas, 2nd century
St. Iranaeus considered it to be canonical scripture.
Though it missed the cut, it’s a fascinating work that centers around the life of a former slave who is given mystical visions and parables informing him how to live a faithful life.

Church History, Eusebius, 4th century
Eusebius had access to one of the largest sources of knowledge in the ancient world: Library of Caesarea.
This allowed him to piece together this contentious history of the church through letters, martyrdom accounts, and lists of bishops.

On the Incarnation, Athanasius, 4th century
C.S. Lewis said of it:
“When I first opened On the Incarnation, I soon discovered…that I was reading a masterpiece.“
Here, Athanasius presents the incarnation as a solution to man's fallen nature, or what he calls the “divine dilemma."

Confessions, Augustine, 5th century
Augustine's masterpiece is an autobiography where he ponders his troubled youth and eventual conversion to Christianity as he traversed the Roman empire.
It’s a story of the struggle against sin and the metanoia of a future saint.

The City of God, Augustine, 5th century
An intellectual tour de force, The City of God depicts the ultimate struggle of the human condition — a war where all must make a choice between the “earthly city” and the “city of God.”

Sayings of the Desert Fathers, various authors, 5th century
Ancient wisdom from desert hermits.
It’s a collection of wisdom stories and maxims from the desert fathers, who were some of the earliest hermits and ascetics.
Early monks looked to these stories for spiritual guidance.
