Autonomy / choices in Mouthwashing…
I’ve only played the game once this very morning but goddamn the THOUGHTS. Will replay for more insight now that I know what it’s all about. In the meantime:
Daisuke, the young last-minute intern. From beginning to end, his autonomy is non-existent. He didn’t sign up to be on the Tulpar, his mother did it so he’d stop “slacking”. Under Swansea’s supervision, he can’t make his own choices, and instead spends his time on pointless repetitive tasks that don’t give him opportunities for mistakes. (Mistakes being the only example of him having a shred of autonomy, when he ends up stuck in foam… he’s doing his best I promise 😭). Then, when Anya locks herself in medical, Jimmy orders him to deceive Swansea then to go into the vent. Even his (merciful) death is someone else’s choice, Swansea’s (who swings the axe) and Jimmy’s (who brought him to that point).
Curly, the captain. Originally in a position of relative power (still under Pony Express), Jimmy strips him of everything and frames him for the mess he created. Curly is left unable to do anything but lie there and let others decide what he needs, what he wants, what he feels… what he did. No longer truly seen as human, his two perceived states are (irritating, noisy) pain and (accomodating) silence - silence achieved through force, shoving painkillers down his throat. He can do nothing but witness the events, yet he survives to the end. Unable to get in Jimmy’s way in his state, he becomes his puppet, the conduit for Jimmy’s delusion about being the hero and fixing things. His life is Jimmy’s choice.
Anya, the nurse and only woman on the ship. Belittled, abused, and raped by Jimmy and pregnant from it, her bodily autonomy is taken from her. After the crash, she’s left to care for Curly (who was supposed to take care of her before the crash, but didn’t despite his promises), who’s also lost his bodily autonomy, but she can’t bring herself to, well, force painkillers down his throat. The parallel to her own suffering too vivid. She chooses her death as a last attempt at regaining agency over her life (and, of course, makes that choice next to Curly), but Jimmy ultimately forced that choice on her, as he did with the others.
Swansea, the grumpy old man with a heart. As Daisuke’s supervisor, he steals part of his autonomy - but unlike Jimmy, he does so with Daisuke’s best interests in mind. He’s a protector, not an abuser. He also protects the sole working cryogenic pod from Jimmy - not for himself, as Jimmy believes, but most likely for his protégé. That choice is taken from him by Jimmy, who uses his alcoholism against him. In the end, Swansea is the only one who is able to truly fight back. Unfortunately, Jimmy is in possession of the strongest authority tool there is - a gun. The gun that the powers that be, Pony Express, placed there from the beginning to deal with eventual mutinies. Swansea never had a chance or a choice in the face of such powers.
Jimmy, the abuser. At the risk of repeating myself, he abuses everyone on the ship, he craves control and authority, he uses people’s weaknesses to obtain what he wants. He ends up as the only person in a position where he can make choices at all. He chooses how he lives and how he dies, he thinks he’s the hero of the story. The second he thinks his freedom is about to be taken from him (when he is about to lose his job and have a child with the woman he raped), he snaps and takes everyone’s fate into his own hands, he would rather kill everyone including himself than lose control. Obsessed with taking responsibility, never actually doing it.
Screaming crying chewing on drywall how can a 2h30 long game have so much in it there’s SO MUCH TO SAY

Batman Contingencies: Gamera
Agamemnon Contingency: "The Last Hope"

Gamera, known as 'The Last Hope' by the ancient Atlanteans, is also labeled the 'Guardian of The Universe' by JSDF, G-Force, and Monarch. Like Mothra, Gamera is a Guardian Kaiju known to defend the Earth, not necessarily humanity. From the records I've gathered referencing this creature from ancient Atlantean monoliths, Gamera is the last of a group of advanced, bio-engineered giant turtles created in the ancient past. The purpose is unclear, though there are many possibilities: To defend themselves, to combat something called 'The Shadow of Evil' and 'The Great Enemy', or to protect humanity. It is clear that despite Gamera being destructive, it's evident that he protects humanity, specifically children, from destructive Kaiju and hostile extraterrestrials. He was first discovered in 1965, awakening from his slumber after a nuclear warhead detonated in the Arctic.
Seeing the devastation from the blast, Gamera became enraged, laying waste to Tokyo once he reached landfall. His rampage came to an end when the JSDF lured him to an experimental rocket ship, launching him into space. He would return to Earth in 1995, thirty years after his rampage, the emergence of giant, avian-like Kaiju known as Gyaos emerged and wreaked havoc upon Japan. The JSDF and G-Force mobilized to combat the Kaiju, though Gamera proved to be the more benevolent when he saved the life of a young boy from the Gyaos. Through months of research, it was discovered that Gamera had a supernatural origin, unlike the number of monsters that were a result of radiation exposure. Gamera draws his power from a mystical life force known as Mana, which, according to Doctor Fate and Aquaman, is an essential essence that gave him life.
Despite Gamera being a Guardian of Earth, in his battles against Kaiju such as Gyaos, Virians, Legion, Irys, and Godzilla, he leaves collateral damage in his wake. His connection to humanity, namely a young woman named Asagi Kusanagi, thankfully restrains him from performing more reckless tactics. Through an Atlantean Magatama, a priest or priestess can command Gamera, sharing a psychic rapport with him. From what Oracle gathered regarding Miss Kusanagi, she's a woman with a conscious who believes in Gamera's role as one of Earth's Protectors. But, there was an incident where he fell under the thrall of a rogue scientist, Greta Karbone, who got hold of a Magatama, which she manipulated with her own latent telepathic abilities to gain control of him. With him enthralled, she used him along with her own creation, Viras, to lay waste to Paris but was thankfully stopped by Asagi and the arrival of Mothra.
Gamera has numerous abilities that range from immense strength, unleashing and absorbing fire and plasma, flying, regeneration, converting energy, and manipulating his own body, these abilities make him a dangerous opponent. This contingency is in place should Gamera break his connection with humanity and grow reckless or a Magatama fall into dangerous hands. If a scenario such as Dr. Karbone getting another Magatama should occur, the first step is to destroy it or in a sense, strengthen Kusunagi's connection with Gamera. An alternative is to concoct a spell that drains the mana from the Magatama, breaking the user's connection with Gamera. Should the situation escalate, the next step is to deploy an experimental Mech known as the 'Titan Bat'.

Unlike other Anti-Kaiju Mechs, this one is in line with my moral restraints, even if Gamera is a monster. The mech is armed with Cryogenic technology that can freeze him. But, Gamera has a history of studying his opponents, which would prolong the confrontation. The technology within the mech is connected to a Batsuit that makes controlling it without issue, though it is fueled with a potent but draining battery. Stalling him would end in disaster and a mass loss of life. The metal alloy can withstand atomic blasts, though it is unclear if it can withstand plasma blasts.
Gamera is one of the remnants of Atlantis past and a Guardian of Earth. His death or corruption would be a tragedy, as the good he did for humanity makes him an essential ally...should we find ourselves against terrestrial and extraterrestrial threats.

|| (Fair warning, I'm sleep deprived & hella depressed but let's see how putting thoughts into words goes lol)
So right off the bat, personal opinion, this might be a translation thing to look into, but I don't think Harada means "loving" here in the doting sense. Especially when everything else we've been shown about Richard & Helena thus far suggests otherwise. – I more so think he means "loving" in the sense that growing up, they absolutely spoiled Nina & Anna w everything they could ever ask for - clothes, toys, luxury, etc. - everything except adequate attention and (in the case of Richard) affection.
We know for a fact that one of the biggest issues Anna has always had with Nina is how she believes Richard never loved her as much as her. We know Richard would put Nina through emotional suppression experiments. We know the whole reason why Anna got into cooking in the first place was to get their fathers attention by being good at something Nina wasn't, only for him to outright dismiss her new talent as a "useless skill".
To sum up, we know so much utter shit about this guy, that there is no way in the hell he now lies in that he could ever be considered a truly "loving" father. 🥲
I'm sure in brief snippets of their memories here and there he could act the part. I'm sure Nina saw his better side more often, just as I'm sure he himself probably believed he was always doing what was best for his daughters. By whatever means necessary.
Which ties into the other part Harada mentions, about how Richard "properly thought of both Nina & Anna." – I think he absolutely always took his daughters and their physical safety into consideration, he just went about it in... horrible, awful, toxic to say the least ways. – For example I think he absolutely knew Anna who was more sensitive, emotional & "naive" as Harada mentions, would be in more danger as she got older, so he was harder on her than he was Nina. To the point of 1) Anna and her foreseeable future were likely constant stressors for him, 2) Anna mistaking how strict he was on her as he didn't love her as much as Nina, and 3) Nina seeing Anna as a problem as well, just not in the same light.
I even think Richard passed on this stress to Nina in a smaller form. I've always headcanoned that growing up, Richard tasked Nina with being the secondary protector of the family, and sole protector should anything ever happen to him. But needless to say uhhhhm.... my girl took after her father by not using the best methods to do so either. – I've always believed Nina escalating their feud to near fatal measures in T2 prior to the cryosleep was her own kinda messed up way of ensuring Anna knew how to protect herself. ( w a pinch of added trauma from y'know.. what happened in the T1 days that we don't talk about much )
But then enter the cryosleep. Nina may take after her father but she's still her own person. The same sister she was trying to protect - *cough* again in warped ways *cough* - just helped kidnap her, imprison her in a cryogenic slumber against her will for nearly two decades, and thus played a hand in all the horrors that happened during & after. That's that. Would you stick around?
Which finally, to save a few more paragraphs, in part is why:
Please don't tell me that's the sole motivator for why she suddenly seemingly randomly turned around and chose violence again. I've been going off that being part of the reason why for years now, but it needs some extra sensical flavor I beg you 🍽️

My Persona Oc's i had between 2019 till now
Here's what I did to my Oc's as my persona. I'm gonna create my fifth one soon.
Kimi (Me) - My version of me but as a parent figure and have a monster inside who's trying to escape. Like afraid of making a mistake and messing up due to their disability in order to protect the others. Kimi is Autistic btw and calls sukie "Lil sis." - They/Them (Determined, Creative and Sensitive)
Sukie - A younger version of me who's energetic and Carefree. She has formed a tight bond with Kimi where she sees them as her own sibling and calls them "Bubba." - She/Her (Free-loving & Optimistic)
Jamie - A version of me while having a tooth infection surgery back when I was in 10th grade. But has trust issues and depression after feeling betrayed, Being used or lied to again. Before waking up in her cryogenic pod in a world filled with humans and hybrid animals. Though, she develops a crush on Alek. - She/Her (Personality : shy and gentle)
Alek - My bird protector who's protect me in my dreams when I little. But ended up bringing him back to life in 2022. Now as a hybrid human bird. - He/Him (Calm, Caring and Practical)I do ship Alek and Jamie together. Making this ship name called "Jalek." Sometimes reminds me of Agito and Toola from the movie, origin Spirits of the past.

If Secto had to leave his hosts body for anything (maybe a lil swim or something) where do you think he would store the Steef?
Do you think he'd have back up hosts incase the other escaped? I feel like he would idk.
This will be a long answer, I tried my best to rewrite it as concisely as possible. TW for abuse under the cut.*
OKTIGI HOST STORAGE. I remember Lorne stating in one of the Discodd chat podcasts that when Oktigis attend meetings at bathouses to discuss businesss and Magog Cartel matters, they get off their hosts and basically leave them in cryogenic storage, that much is canon at least in the podcasts. So I imagine Sekto, like other wealthy Oktigis, having his own cryogenic chambers for storing hosts in a similar way rich people have those fancy big closets. I imagine these storage units being a bit diverse, it's basically just more furniture to them. Some of these units could be singular pods, some may span a whole room, some may not be cryogenic and instead opt for suspension. The usage I imagine consists of the Oktigi entering the open chamber and leaving the host in there undressed and in a dazed state, then removing themselves from the host with the help of the unit's mechanism such as simply hoping onto a waiting platform, the chamber would then close and begin a temperature descent util it reaches the cryogenic effect without killing and while monitoring vitals and helping mantain functions, it would probably need to be adjusted per species or selected from a set catalogue. You can now find a drawing of this on my blog after this post.
BACKUP HOSTS. I do indeed think that is very common, especially with wealthier Oktigis, to have more than one host to choose from or as a backup, as well as there being a market to buy them and the practice to discard them, as one would do with outfits, Oktigis can have preferences and types they search after and they probably judge and compare eachother's hosts too, maybe Mike over there looks like a wimp compared to how big and strong Dave looks with his huge chad alpha male new host, maybe Becky is jealous that Maddie's host has huge bimbo bazongas, maybe Henry wants to have a secondary host with bazongas too. I do also think that Oktigis do have favorite and main hosts whenever they have many and that they have different preferences and behaviors towards them; some Oktigis could keep their hosts well groomed and healthy while others completely neglect and maim them, some may see them as no more than mere objects, or pets or form one sided bonds with them that could go from just a little endearment like a favorite shirt to romantic and lustful feelings or all the way to making them their main victim of abuse which I will elaborate on further in the case of Sekto because I think it's probably what he did
SEKTO AND THE OLDEN STEEF HOST. Going back to Sekto I would imagine that he does have or at least has had a couple of hosts to spare at the same time, he has the means for it, however I personally think that he is one of those Oktigis that have gotten too attached to a specific host, I say this because as far as I understand he has had the Old Steef as a host for quite a long while and that poor man is in such bad condition that he even looks to be blind and dying since a while ago, even if Sekto likes the build and strenght Steef have he had an ample supply of younger more suitable and healthy ones but he chose to keep this one who is specifically referred to as old even before he was his, to me it looks like that host just hasn't had any rest from being used since the beginning...
*TW starts here*
...and judging by what little is shown about Sekto throughout his limited screentime it would seem fitting, Sekto seems intensely and needlessly cruel, sadistic, hateful and vengeful, especially against this species. I personally think that Sekto took this Steef who seems to have been the local protector or leader of his local people and posibbly the biggest symbol of hope they had and really wanted to drive that cruelty in by turning him into nothing but a helpless and pityful victim, forcing his voice and his hands to directly be part of all the orders and actions that would direct the genocide of his people and the Grubbs as well as the stealing of the water and the lands he once protected. I like this idea because it would add much more weight to both Sekto and the Steef as characters as well as their relationship and background in the story, and of course to the ending where not only the water is free but so is the Olden Steef too. To me it would seem that Sekto hasn't made much use of other hosts ever since this one because of that, I personally imagine that he has formed a very strong negative attachment like this because he just seems to be fucked up like that and clearly obsessed with Steef, let alone this little living prize of his, he probably intended to terrorize, torture and violate the Olden Steef mentally and phisically as well as symbolically until he gave his very last breath, and he was almost able to. And I love that for them honestly, that's fucked up and tragic, that adds so much more to them and I enjoy it, gives me the feelz.
#sekto#mr sekto#oktigi#oddworld#oddtumblr#strangers wrath#stranger's wrath#steef#olden steef#ask#tw abuse#Demonogeny text#I hope this was at least a decent answer OP#idk what are everyone's thoughts on this?

Jaal and Kaidan meet in an AU where the Kett have destroyed Andromeda and as a last resort, the Angara cryogenically freeze themselves and escape to the Milky Way and arrive just a little after the Reapers are defeated. The Moshae is made Ambassador and Jaal is basically her protector and just so happens to run into Kaidan on the citadel when The Moshae is meeting with The Council and neither of them speak until Jaal expresses the same sentiment Kaidan had about the staircase leading up to The Council in ME1 and Kaidan immediately gives Jaal his email.

Carbon Steel Flanges vs. Stainless Steel Flanges
In the arena of commercial piping systems, flanges play a primary position by way of sporting smooth get right of entry to for inspection, modification, or cleaning. Among the most commonly used flange matter are Carbon Steel Flanges and Stainless Steel Flanges. Choosing the definite type of flange expressly consequences method performance, cost, corrosion resistance, and longevity.
If you’re sourcing flanges for industrial use, grasp the pros, cons, and ideal use cases of both ingredients is key. In this blog by Bagoda Steel Project, a trusted name among Carbon Steel Flanges Suppliers and Stainless Steel Flanges stockists, we’ll inspect the two flange types to help you make an informed option.
What Are Flanges and Why Does Material Matter?
Flanges are used to connect pipes, valves, pumps, and opposite equipment to form a piping procedure. They permit for simple organization and disassembly, which is significantly major for maintenance and inspection.
The material of the flange matters because it determines:
Corrosion resistance
Temperature and pressure handling
Mechanical wealth
Cost-potency
Weldability and machinability
Carbon Steel Flanges: Overview:
What Are Carbon Steel Flanges?
Carbon steel flanges are alloyed with chromium (at the least 10.5%) which paperwork a passive layer of chromium oxide, stopping rust and corrosion. Informal stainless steel grades accumulate SS 304, SS 316, and SS 321.
Advantages of Carbon Steel Flanges:
High Capital: Exceptional tensile asset makes them ideal for high-pressure applications.
Cost-Helpful: Typically extra price range-friendly than chrome steel flanges.
Beneficial Performance in Non-Corrosive Environments: Well-ideal for gas, oil, and steam strains wherein corrosion isn't always a primary difficulty.
Provision: Naturally open in various sizes and pressure classes.
Conditions
Poor Corrosion Resistance: Prone to rusting in humid or corrosive environments.
Maintenance Intensive: Requires painting or coating for guard in driven environments.
Stainless Steel Flanges: Overview:
What Are Stainless Steel Flanges?
Stainless metal flanges are alloyed with chromium (as a minimum 10.5%) which paperwork a passive layer of chromium oxide, stopping rust and corrosion. Informal stainless steel grades gather SS 304, SS 316, and SS 321.

Background: The Girl Between Two Worlds
Hae-seol Kim, affectionately known simply as Hae-seol, is a 16-year-old high school student and the cornerstone of her community. Raised within a family held in high esteem, her upbringing is deeply rooted in Korean shamanistic practices. Her primary mentor and guiding figure was her grandmother, Ming-Ji Kim, who held the respected role of the last practicing shaman in the family. Unbeknownst to Hae-seol, her true origins are tied to experimental science rather than lineage alone—she is a chiropteran-human hybrid, a fact hidden even from her. She attributes her unique abilities and strengths to her shamanistic heritage, although she has lingering suspicions that her grandmother concealed other secrets. This aura of mystery surrounding her heritage not only complicates her self-identity but also draws her deeper into her shamanistic duties, connecting her even more to her grandmother’s legacy as she struggles to reconcile the unknown with the spiritual path she has inherited.
Personality
Hae-seol’s natural kindness and grounded demeanor set her apart. Compassionate, perceptive, and remarkably humble given her family’s prominence, she embodies a warmth that makes her approachable. She stands against bullying and is a compassionate friend, consistently making others feel seen and understood. Her innate empathy and high emotional intelligence make her a trusted confidante, someone whom people feel safe around. Her authenticity, matched with her strength of character, positions her as both a protector and a friend among her peers. Despite the expectations placed on her, Hae-seol remains down-to-earth and sees her role as an extension of who she is rather than a burden, though it often weighs heavily on her inner self.
Motivations and Goals
Deeply motivated by a calling to help others and uphold her family’s traditions, Hae-seol takes her spiritual duties seriously. As the last shaman of her family line, she feels an immense responsibility to perform rituals, offer spiritual guidance, and maintain the respect her community holds for her family. Guided by the principles instilled in her by her grandmother, Hae-seol aspires to use her gifts to benefit others, particularly the vulnerable. Her lack of knowledge about her true origins allows her to focus solely on this mission, even though the scope of her abilities remains partially hidden from her. This mixture of known and unknown drives her curiosity and subtly fuels a quiet search for understanding and self-discovery.
Approach To Life
Hae-seol’s approach to life is marked by optimism, warmth, and an open heart. She actively fosters a sense of community among her peers, whether by organizing study groups, supporting school events, or simply lending an empathetic ear to those in need. Her popularity and respected social position are byproducts of her genuine kindness, generosity, and selflessness. Her humility makes her accessible and approachable, earning her a natural leadership role even though she often downplays her influence. The balance she strikes between fulfilling her responsibilities and connecting with those around her makes her a unifying presence among her friends and a positive force in her community.
Inner Conflict
Hae-seol’s unwavering empathy and strength coexist with an internal dissonance. Though confident in her skills, she sometimes feels disconnected from others due to her unique abilities, believing these differences stem from her shamanistic heritage rather than her hidden, scientific origins. This isolation often stirs a sense of being set apart, even as it strengthens her resolve to serve selflessly. Her humility prevents her from seeing her gifts as a means of superiority; instead, she treats them as tools entrusted to her for the betterment of others. This perspective deepens her humility and compassion, keeping her grounded even as she faces the mysteries surrounding her origins.

Influence and Community Role
Hae-seol’s role extends beyond her friend circle to her entire school and neighborhood. Admired for her integrity, strength, and kindheartedness, she holds a position of reverence and influence within her community. Teachers, peers, and adults alike respect her character, viewing her as a natural leader. Despite her young age, Hae-seol is seen as a trusted individual capable of handling delicate matters. Among her close friends, including So-young Choi, Ji-eun Park, and Eun-bi Kim, she is valued for her loyalty and empathy, though she remains blissfully unaware of the layered motives and varying intentions of those attracted to her influence.
Spiritual Role
As the designated shaman, Hae-seol is central to her community’s spiritual life, a role that carries deep significance. Her grandmother’s powerful legacy looms large, encouraging Hae-seol to pursue her path diligently and with great reverence. Local community members come to her seeking blessings, spiritual guidance, and, at times, exorcisms. Her home is often filled with visitors seeking her insight or her healing touch, and her youth only enhances the reverence with which she is treated. Her gradual growth in skill and reputation marks her increasing importance, and her role as a young spiritual leader is shaping her path and solidifying her commitment to tradition and community.
Medical Knowledge
Alongside her spiritual duties, Hae-seol has acquired a foundational knowledge of traditional Korean medicine through her grandmother’s guidance. She is proficient in wound care, childbirth assistance, and pregnancy support, skills that have established her as a trusted caregiver within her community. This blend of spiritual and practical healing practices makes her indispensable, as her dual knowledge allows her to serve in various capacities, from spiritual healing to practical first aid. Her hands-on approach and dedication earn her trust, reinforcing her significance and reliability in the eyes of those around her.

Public Recognition
Hae-seol’s influence transcends her immediate circle, drawing the attention of notable community leaders. Religious figures, business leaders, and government officials frequently invite her to prominent gatherings, acknowledging the importance and reach of her role. These appearances mark her as a respected public figure, a symbol of both traditional heritage and social impact. Her presence at these events further solidifies her reputation and influence, even as she remains modest and focused on her core mission.
Shamanistic Duties
Managing both school and her spiritual responsibilities requires meticulous balance, which Hae-seol achieves with dedication. Her daily schedule includes rituals, prayers, and strict dietary practices aimed at maintaining her spiritual clarity and well-being. Her duties encompass ancestor worship, spiritual counseling, and cleansing ceremonies, reflecting the depth of her commitment to her role. Despite these extensive commitments, she remains dedicated to her studies and social life, embodying a harmonious blend of modernity and tradition. This balance, along with her dedication, makes her an embodiment of cultural continuity and progress within her community.
Hae-seol’s Journey
Hae-seol Kim represents the delicate intersection of spiritual obligation, personal responsibility, and the pursuit of her own dreams. Empathetic, resilient, and perceptive, she navigates an internal conflict stemming from her dual identities as both a shaman and a regular young woman. Though her purpose is clear, the burden of her responsibilities often isolates her, igniting a yearning for freedom and autonomy. Nonetheless, her duty to her family and community holds her firmly to her path, pushing her to seek a delicate balance between her inherited calling and the life she dreams of beyond the weight of her role. Her journey is one of self-discovery, where tradition meets personal aspiration, challenging her to find harmony amid the complex dynamics of her identity.

Ava, a young woman with fiery red hair and a spirit to match, navigates the rain-soaked streets of Neo-Paris, a city rebuilt atop the old world’s ruins. With her unique armor, embedded with advanced tech and old-world symbols, she is not just any scavenger or fighter; she is the protector of a secret so significant that it could change the course of history.
Legend has it that Louis XVII, the lost Dauphin of France, was somehow saved from death and placed in cryogenic sleep, only to be awakened in a future he could scarcely comprehend. The monarchy long dissolved, his bloodline became the stuff of myths, but the genetic legacy was said to persist, a marker of rightful leadership and unity.
Ava’s mission is clear but perilous. She must find the last descendant of Louis XVII, believed to be hidden somewhere within the city, guarded by cryptic puzzles and deadly traps set by those who wish to see the old bloodlines extinguished. Her journey through the underbelly of the city brings her face-to-face with cybernetic gangs, black market tech dealers, and ancient automatons programmed to protect the royal secret at all costs.
As Ava uncovers clues leading her to the descendant, she also learns more about her own mysterious past. Her connection to the old world is deeper than she ever imagined—her mother, a brilliant geneticist, had been part of a secret society that preserved the royal DNA, intertwining Ava's destiny with that of the lost prince.
In a climactic battle beneath the Louvre’s digital archives, Ava confronts a powerful oligarch intent on using the prince for his own gain. With the help of her AI companion, Léon, who possesses encrypted memories of the old world, Ava fights to save the prince and restore a semblance of peace to the fractured society.
In the end, Ava and the awakened descendant, a young man who shares her fierce determination and hope, stand before the citizens of Neo-Paris. Together, they reveal the truth about the past and propose a new future—one led not by royalty, but by the shared leadership and vision of all who call the city home.
Ava’s journey shows that even in a world where the past and future collide in unexpected ways, the courage to embrace both can illuminate the darkest of times.

The hustle and bustle of Deioru nao’Mongi’s capital district, “Fedai,” put a smile on Fadi’s face. Eight days in thirteen months where the full population of the city would be sure to spend as much time as possible out of doors, where thousands of melodies would synchronize and weave, a tapestry of pure thaumaturgy that once upon a time, the Zora were forbidden from.
A wry smirk spread across the Alpha Deiarch’s lips-- how his former elders would quiver and hiss at him now. Against all odds, he’d proven it could be done-- a civilization of both science AND magic, of tradition AND progress-- while yes, his people had retained many architectural traits of the nao’Mongi’s now cousin race, EVERYTHING about the nao’Mongi had adapted to the new liminalities of the swamp. The same style pillars and roofs, only now, hewn of mahogany on the precious few solid earth areas; bridges through the deep, murky water and across the thick, dense canopy a hundred feet up that only opened around the edges of Fedai-- everything about Deioru nao’Mongi was a testament to spiteful adaptation, determined adaptation.
Fadi’Mongi took a deep breath-- the earthen musk of the swamp gas on the air mingling with ocean spray where murk became salt water; mixed with the scents of cooking Skates and Sifter Sharks. Everyone was in a hurry, making sure that things were prepared for Festival-- the sight put a smile on his face, as he stood atop the trebuchets of his palace. The highest location in Fedai; and possibly all of Deioru nao’Mongi-- from his vantage point, he could see through the deep, royal violet night sky, over the canopies clear to the lighthouse on the beach that one day, he’d again ward-- but he knew his outlander guests knew what caliber of revel this was.
It was up to them to decide whether they’d immerse themselves fully in the stream of Lucidity, and truly Awaken themselves to the splendors of this hidden bastion of creativty, or whether they’d come prepared.
Fadi’Mongi could hardly wait. It’d been nearly nine centuries since an outlander had attended Festival, and for the first time in his slightly more than two millennia ruling, he was comfortable with the people coming.
Will wonders ever cease?

Call Me By Your Name {1/2}
Summary: Khan’s bio forensic scientist wakes up when the ship lands on Ceti Alpha V
As per his original wishes, Khan Noonien Singh and the rest of his augment species were delivered to planet Ceti Alpha V. However, for his crimes against the Federation, Khan was placed into a cryogenic pod as well.
Botany Bay 2.0, a long range science vessel containing 73 cryogenic pods landed on the deserted lands of Ceti Alpha V. Upon landing, the ship sent out tiny droids to take bio data scans of the new planet. As the droids were returning to the ship, a tiny rodent copped a ride on a passing bot and got inside the ship. Once it realized it was the stuck, the rodent began scratching and gnawing at anything to try and find a way out. In its escape attempt, the rodent caused one of the pods to malfunction, awakening the augment inside.
The Indian woman woke up with a chill and cold dew on her person. Once she blinked away the grogginess, she wiped her hands over her face to clear off the water. She lightly pushed at the glass screen above her and the lid shifted off with a hiss. The augment stood out of her pod and turned to look at the thing that had confined her for however long. Her name was on a corner: Aadhya Gupta.
Aadhya moved away from her pod and began tasks as they naturally came to her. Her first thought was to look at the recordings to see what she had missed. That's when she saw that there was a contraband amongst them. She smiled and decided to go look for the rodent.
In her hunt, she happened to pass by what was a kitchen. Augments didn't really rely on meals and drinks like regular humans, but she was rather famished since awakening after an amount of time still unknown to her. She'd have to find out once she caught the rodent before it damaged anything else.
Aadhya took a bit of food with her to entice the rodent out. She caught it scraping against the droid ejector, no doubt the way it had come in.
"Tsk tsk tsk!" Aadhya pitied. "Did the door close on you? Well, you're just going to have to find a way to open it, my little chuiya," she cooed at it. She put down a trail of food crumbs for it and began walking to a door. She pressed a button and it opened, allowing her to walk out of the room they were in. She closed the door before the mouse could run by and waited for the scratching to stop. Aadhya then came back in, gave it food, then pressed the button and went through the door again.
It happened more than a few times until Aadhya didn't hear scratching upon her exit. Instead, as she waited in the other end, the video monitor showed her the rodent running up the wall to press the button. The door opened and the mouse jumped out, and Aadhya caught it in her hand, rewarding it with food.
"That's like a good chuiya!" She stroked its head and took it with her as she went to the bridge to finally get the records.
72 of the augments had been in cryogenic for more than two centuries. Aadhya recalled there being 85 of them on Botany Bay, but counted only 73 pods around her, including her own. One pod, however, was a recently frozen individual. Aadhya noted the pod number and went searching for it.
She found the pod at the back of the rows of her sleeping family. Aadhya looked through the glass and saw a face she didn't recognize. How dare an outsider join their ranks!? She bent to read the name of the sleeper and immediately regretted her words.
It was Khan! Her Khan. Their leader.
The last time she had seen him, Noonien Singh looked like her. But the man sleeping in the frozen coffin was not the Khan she knew. Aadhya stood up and went to the wall to use the computer to find out his story.
Of course.
Of course he had built the best systems. He was Khan. Of course he had fought to defend the augments from his captor; his abuser. He was their Khan. Aadhya mourned his stolen identity, but they could never take from him his soul.
Khan was a ruler; a protector, a sovereign of the people. And he was that before he was Khan.
She was petting the rat for bringing her seeds and all. She had trained it, and was observing how the rat survived in the terrain. It could teach her how to survive the big world by being small, but all they saw was it being food. The bully boys called her dirt and other degrading names, and demanded she give the rat to them, twisting her arm to make her do it. She didn't see the rat, or anything else, as the smoke exploded.
They all woke up in a building with facilities beyond their imagination. She stayed quiet and made herself appear small, so no one would look at her more than necessary. They gave the children something from every corner of life. Some people excelled physically, others were scholars or other experts of society. She classified as a biological scientist. She could revive extinct organisms from fossils or she could develop new organic material. She could save, or she could annihilate.
She first met Noonien in the training room. She was sitting by the window, petting her potted plant as she faced it in the sunlight. A bully had found her again, knocking the pot out from her hand. The dirt spilled as the pot fell, but the plant curled up on itself. The bully laughed and bent to pick up the plant she looked down upon, but a cane got in her way.
"Don't touch it," the cripple warned her, indifferent. The bully glared at him. "Make me," she said spitefully, and grabbed the plant by the stem. As she touched it, thorns shot out of the stem and the bully recoiled, holding her injured hand by the wrist as painful poison turned her hand purple. The bully ran away as the purple strain crept up her arm, threatening to spread to her heart. The augment got a sword off a wall in the training room and hacked her own arm off.
Onlookers were surprised by having witnessed the rat girl defeat one of the leader potential augments. The bully from the street was there too. "The chuiya beat the sherni!" He said, meaning the girl mouse had defeated the lioness.
Chuiya didn't speak often, but she developed a sort of symbiotic relationship with the cripple. Noonien defended her against the street bully, and had eventually killed him. Chuiya had a hand in developing his new leg.
She told him the secrets of their handlers, being one of the first to discover the chips in their systems. Noonien had given her the name Aadhya, a powerful name for one who was so close to the earth. He had eventually tasked her with developing a way to take out the chips without the handlers knowing.
When it was time for them to head into the stars, she was Khan's priority. She could find a way to sustain life wherever they ended up.
They would survive.

[Spoiler from the Elysian Realm and from Eden complete recording]
Two question, one is more of a doubt. But wasn't Eden the Himeko of the past, and the one in the manga which became Herscherr of the Flames and killed by Kevin? Fu Hua's saviour and mentor? Because from what I'm reading there's no mention of it, and instead it's mentioned Mobius asking her about being cryogenated and her refusing it (but like when they're doing it, so it means at the VERY END). Also she's speaking about Project Ember (which is something made a lot later than Hof).
So question, is that a completely contraddiction and plot hole or are those two, two different persons?
Second... I understand what Eden wanted with giving Fu Hua Project Ember, and it's touching in some way. To think that being Hua very young, she could be her own person in a new Era, completely free from PE and Moth. ...But she has completely forgotten about Hua's character. Maybe Eden was hoping Hua would have changed, but I... don't know how much Fu Hua changed, even after all these years in the new world. She still seems the same Soldier.
Eden isn't PE Himeko. You can go to Hua's file Fire, it detailed about how Eden almost died from fire that PE Himeko caused.
Second, I think Eden gave project ember to Hua is so that Hua can have purpose to keep on living in the new era and live a new life that she doesn't have in the PE. Also Eden didn't want to take it because she never intend to live in that era.
Hua characteristics does change I mean she changed from the Zhenzhou protector to monster killer machine to amnesia girl to Schicksal's spy and later wanted to sacrifice herself for other but the tuna pulled her back with a *wedding vow* oh and Everlasting Flame is also about her resolves.

Secret Saturdays AU: The Stilinski family – John, Claudia and their son Stiles – are cryptozoologists and members of the Secret Scientists, a global organization with the goal of studying and safeguarding sciences considered too dangerous to be general public knowledge. As the foremost experts in cryptids, the Stilinskis are responsible for studying and protecting crypids around the world, while also keeping their existence a secret from the rest of humanity and averting cryptid-related threats.
They knew there was something different about Stiles from a young age; he had the strange innate ability to communicate with cryptids and influence or control their actions. When he was four years old, he befriended a Fiskerton Phantom (who he names Fisk) who follows him around as a friend and protector.
John and Claudia are trying to find the pieces of an artefact known as the Kur Stone, a Sumerian artifact which can lead its wielder to the location of Kur, an allegedly all-powerful cryptid. They hope that finding Kur will help them protect the cryptids and the rest of the world, and give them some insight into Stiles’ powers.
The Stilinskis had uncovered the stone years ago, before Stiles was born, but something went wrong at the dig site; their mission was sabotaged and the stone was shattered and scattered across the globe.
Their efforts to retrieve the pieces are hindered as they struggle to beat Deucalion to the Stone pieces.
They manage to gather a few pieces, just enough to work out Kur's resting place in Antarctica. They race to the resting place, but they never expected to find what they did. Kur is Stiles; when the Kur Stone first shattered years ago, Kur's soul entered Claudia when she was pregnant with Stiles, and Stiles' cryptid-influencing powers are in fact Kur’s powers.
The game changes; Stiles struggles to control his powers as they begin to grow.
Deucalion offers to help teach Stiles how to use his powers, but Stiles refuses, seeing through Deucalion and knowing that he only wants to use Stiles to control cryptids. What’s more, he discovers that Deucalion was the one who sabotaged the mission years ago, and when the stone shattered, he obtained a piece of Kur’s powers; but what he lacks in the strength of his powers, he makes up with his merciless and unempathetic control of the cryptids.
Meanwhile, the Secret Scientists have turned against the Stilinskis, wishing to capture Stiles and place him into cryogenic sleep to prevent him from becoming a serious threat. But John and Claudia refuse to hand over their son.
Stiles begins to have nightmares, finding himself drawn to some distant place. His parents agree to let him follow his instincts, leading him to an isolated place where Stiles finds his powers tested. He makes it through the challenges, only to come face to face with a Tsul ‘Kalu. Stiles tries to fight him off with his powers, but as he does, the Tsul ‘Kalu overpowers his mind, making him see a vision of a cryptid army. He slowly turns around, looking at the Tsul ‘Kalu.
“Why are you doing this?” he asks, tears running down his face.
“Because you are human,” the Tsul ‘Kalu answers before ordering the cryptids to attack the boy.
Stiles shields his face but the ground gives way beneath him. He plunged into darkness as he’s dropped into another vision. He sees a vision of a war fought by cryptids. He sees them fighting humans, flooding cities and tearing the world apart.
“Stop,” Stiles begs, but he can’t stop the cryptids, nor can he stop the vision.
He drops his gaze, looking down at the reflection in the puddle at his feet. His eyes widen in horror as he realises that his reflection shows his eyes lit up with power; he’s the one controlling the cryptids.
Realisation washes over him as the Tsul ‘Kalu emerges from the swarm of cryptids.
“This isn’t my nightmare,” Stiles says. “It’s yours.”
The Tsul ‘Kalu nods, letting the vision fade.
“I don’t want to be the monster,” Stiles says, tears streaming down his face.
But the day of fate finally arrives; Deucalion uses what Kur powers he has to wage a global cryptid war against Stiles. Stiles has to use his power to summon cryptids, but he refuses to be the monster; he asks for their help and lets them make the choice. But what he never expected is for the cryptids to want to protect their world too.
Stiles overpowers Deucalion, taking Kur’s powers from him.

I know this isn’t your usual thing- but do uou have any negaverse headcanons or ideas for dt17???
Hmm...not really a lot for the good guys........but, as always, I have ideas for the bad guys in FOWL having negaverse versions xD
Bradford: Used to work for SHUSH, but was sickened by how corrupt and amoral he saw the organization becoming- especially after Ludwig Von Drake started calling the shots and making everything worse- he wanted to grant people freedom to live their lives happily, not under the secret control of those who just wanted to steal from them. Teamed up with Black Heron after freeing her from SHUSH’s prison and created FOWL as a way to secretly fight world tyranny and help those in need. Eventually ended up in Scrooge McDuck’s board of directors as a way to keep an eye on him while also secretly embezzling money from him to help fund FOWL’s bases, food banks, and hospitals in secret- working for him is sickening, but necessary for the greater good. Bradford wants to believe he’s doing the right thing in the long run, but has a horrible guilty-conscience leftover from his days in SHUSH and worries that he’s secretly a villain for his more underhanded and sneaky actions.
Black Heron: Used to work as a solo-hero to fight against evil organizations like SHUSH, but was too headstrong and kept getting captured or injured in the process. Was freed by Bradford and went on to create FOWL, recruiting more likeminded individuals so they’d have a better chance fighting against evil. Continued going on missions for FOWL until the fight against Agent 22 and Scrooge McDuck cost her her arm, leaving her with lasting trauma and anxiety that made it hard for her to do fieldwork for many years. Later recruited Steelbeak and has a caring teacher-mentor relationship with him, often leading to her fretting over him every time he gets injured for rushing into danger without thinking to save someone- he reminds her a lot of herself when she was younger and she worries about him going through what she did. Has a bad habit of delivering heroic speeches in an attempt to convert others to the side of good, often coming off as the “preachy hero” type that makes her adversaries cringe from her genuine sappiness and good-natured attempts to “help them find their way”. (Bradford and most of FOWL also find her speeches cringe-inducing, except for Steelbeak who admires her heroic personality and wants to be a hero like her one day)
Steelbeak: Joined FOWL after being arrested for illegal cockfighting- he wasn’t actually a participant, though, he just worked as a sparring/warm-up partner for the real competitors and cleaned up the building for money and a place to stay at night since he was destitute. Had a bad habit of getting emotionally attached to the fighters and would often put himself in harm’s way to protect them from opponents who took things too far, often getting beaten himself in the process. Got arrested during a police raid of the building and had his beak broken by the cops when he tried to run away. Black Heron heard rumors about him through her contacts in the system (they said he kept trying to be a peacekeeper during inmate brawls and getting hurt for it) and felt bad for him, so she paid his bail and recruited him for FOWL. He’s still not very smart, but he’s earnest and sincere in his desire to help others, which often leads to him running head-first into danger and getting injured, despite his team’s protests. Has a good heart, though, and will never hesitate to do the right thing, even if it costs him his life.
Rockerduck and Jeeves: Faced off against Scrooge and Goldie years ago after they tried to steal the gold that Rockerduck rightfully earned through hard work. He’d planned to use the money he would’ve gotten from selling the gold to help the town and others like it prosper, but that plan was ruined and he nearly fell into bankruptcy trying to keep his promises for improving the various towns. Still, he held onto just enough money and made some good investments that helped him regain some of his former wealth. He soon realized that someone like Scrooge was going to be a problem years down the road if he kept amassing wealth, so he invested in cryogenic research and froze himself at multiple points over the years to prolong his lifespan- trusting his loyal butler, Jeeves, to look after his body and find trustworthy allies in their fight against McDuck. Jeeves eventually found these allies in FOWL, but had to wait several years to wake Rockerduck up again and introduce them safely, leading to him volunteering for some of FOWL’s riskier experiments to prolong his own life and continue serving his boss for as long as possible- despite the warnings that it could negatively impact his mind and leave him with limited intelligence as a result. Rockerduck was both touched and heartbroken to find out what his butler went through for him.
Phantom Blot: After seeing his home and family destroyed during a magical battle that involved Magica De Spell (who was the protector of his homeland) and an unnamed enemy, the man who would go on to become the Phantom Blot was horrified to see the damage that unrestrained magic could cause and vowed to find a way to contain it so no one else would suffer such loss. Spent years studying, analyzing, and experimenting with ways to contain or take magic away from those who abused it, often consulting with Magica whenever he ran into her to ask for more information and ways to improve the weaponry he relied on in his battles against violent or evil magic users. His work eventually earned him the attention of FOWL, who appreciated his tireless dedication to protecting others and offered him help and funding to continue advancing his research. He’s still a bit hesitant about opening up and trusting others again after losing his family, but he’ll still do what he can to help his companions in need.
Gandra Dee: Always had a knack for building dangerous machines that no one else understood or appreciated, giving her a pretty cynical view of people in general and ultimately leading to her experimenting on herself to avoid drawing attention to her actions while giving her a way to always be prepared when people turned on her when her inventions angered them. Originally joined FOWL at Bradford’s request to help provide them with technology in exchange for keeping her out of jail and allowing her to work on her own projects on the side- so long as she didn’t cause too much trouble. For a while, she was more of a neutral party at best, but that changed after she started associating with Fenton/Gizmoduck and realized how much more fun she could have as an evil mad scientist. Ended up quitting FOWL and joining Fenton and Gyro as part of Scrooge McDuck’s evil science coalition. Now, she’s free to create the most dangerous and twisted things she can think of with no restraints or morals getting in her way.

“Now when in the bloody hell did Androids become protectors o’ the galaxy? Last I checked, they were either servants or soldiers,” came Nicholas’ voice through an intercom. Seems like someone has gotten tired of hiding and decided to step up. “Ye are Zaruma, I presume? It is strange, normally I know aeverything about people keeping us all in line. And yet, here I am, unable to find much on ye, or even break inte yer database.” ~ kaiju-crimson-storyandask
@kaiju-crimson-storyandask
"Protectors of the Galaxy, huh? Yeah, I guess that's all you can think of if you didn't develop Verse-Warp Tech, huh...? Ah well, it's my duty as a Space-Time Sheriff to inform you of what I am." Of course, this was mostly a ruse to try and buy time. Why? Well, Zamien needed to scan the alien in front of him to make sure this was a law-abiding citizen. Of course, the list he started to collect was not in favor of him being an innocent. "On the Year 10392, in Universe #4021944021039938, a lone scientist by the name of-" Thus begun a long, tedious explanation of the history of the Verse-Warp came to fruition, how criminals used it to their advantage, and how the Neo Galaxy Federation Peacekeepers formed the Space-Time Sheriffs to try and take down the Syndicaliens. During this long winded speech, Zamien couldn't help but make very subtle facial expressions as he read the... Extensive list of crimes this one dude has committed. Planetary Genocide? Unlawful creation of Clones? Sheesh... "-And now, to avoid the strain of Multiversal Travel, my original body, Zamien, was cryogenically frozen and I was uploaded with his memories and consciousness. Does that answer your question?" Tallying up... Yeah, he was just barely under the requirement to be considered a major threat to the Multiverse. But, the Sheriff may just have to take things into his own hands.
