His art is so deeply personal that he can't bear for it to be perceived, much less gifted to others.

Dick gets his first painting during his time as Damians Batman.

Steph gets hers after the bounce house.

Alfred commissions him so he has new art for the house. His favourite is a family portrait he keeps in his bedroom.

Duke gets gifted sketches of Signal and Gotham in the sunrise

Cass gets given beautiful moments of ballet dancers.

Bruce is given portraits of his parents.

Damian paints Tim's photographs.

Jason gets artfully designed bookmarks.

Barbara has lovely landscapes and shots of the city she protects from behind her desk.

But Jon Kent has an almost constant supply and access to Damians doodles.

He is Damians' creativity buddy and sounding board. Damian draws manga and comics while Jon write stories for them.

There's only one sketchbook he doesn't get to see, the one Damian keeps locked in his desk.

Jon has asked before, but Damian always shuts him down, saying it's private, and Jon respects that even if he is curious. If the magical girl ocs were fine, what is in that particular book?

Until one day Damian is kidnapped, and he has to go through his room for clues to who took him, and even if he feels weird about it, he opens the forbidden sketchbook.

He is expecting secrets, trauma, and the parts of himself that Damian hates.

What he finds is hundreds of sketches of Jon himself.

Each one is so full of detail and so lovingly drawn that feels like he is being burned.

Every freckle is correct, Damian drew close ups of his dimples, and his scars.

Seeing himself through Damians eyes is so intimate it feels like holding his very heart.

So Jon puts the book back where he found it without the other bats noticing.

When they find and rescue Damian, Jon knows he has to tell him but how?

Jon thinks of the sketches he wasn't supposed to see, and something in him melts even while he drowns in guilt.

So one night he confronts Damian when he best friend asks him about colour palettes.

"I saw your secret sketchbook, and I am so sorry!" Jon shouts and braces himself for Damians' anger. It doesn't come.

"What?" Damian sounds scared, and that is so much worse.

"When you were missing your Dad and brothers made me go through your room! Day I'm so sorry!"

"Did they see it too?" Damian shrinks in on himself, and Jon wants to hug him so badly.

"No! I put it back straight after I realised what it was, I swear!"

Damian huffs and looks away.

"So you know?"

Jon gulps, "know what?"

"That I'm in love you." Damian looks for Jons reaction and seeing his face starts to get up to leave. "I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable Jonathan. I shall depart."

Jon grabs his arm. "No! Day don't leave! I'm sorry! I just need a second. Please."

Damian stops but doesn't turn around. "I do not want your pity."

"It's not pity! Damian, I love you! I have for years and I'm just sorry I saw before you were ready to show me!" Jon is getting desperate now. He can't lose Damian. He doesn't think he will survive it.

"Really? You're not just saying that to spare me?"

Jon is horrified and spins Damian to be able to see his face. "Damian, what the hell! Why would I lie about this?!"

Damian has tears in his eyes when he finally meets Jon gaze. "I don't know, it just feels impossible for you to love someone like me."

"It's impossible not to love you! Believe me, I tried! I was terrified it would destroy our friendship, and I wanted to have some of you even if it wasn't in the way I wanted."

Damian sighs and slowly kisses him. When he pulls back, he laughs a little.

"We are both idiots."

Jon grins and wipes the tear that manages to escape. "Yeah, we are, but at least we figured it out eventually. I love you, Damian. Truly and completely."

"I love you too." Then Damian kisses him again.

Jon has the sketch Damian draws of Jon asleep beside him the next morning framed.

ANY ARTFORM IS ALLOWED. Drawings/paintings physical and digital, writing long and short including drabbles and blurbs. I wanna see all of it!! Introduce me to new things I had no idea about! If I get insane enough I might try to make something out of clay!!

♪Ain't no mountain high enough!♪

Context: Hello world and all who inhabit it! <⁠(⁠￣⁠︶⁠￣⁠)⁠>. I'm back with more art for you of my precious Pumkin and Branch. (⁠人⁠*⁠´⁠∀⁠｀⁠)⁠｡⁠*ﾟ⁠+

I just finished this drawing last night, and it's the last in this little series of drawings, along with this one and this one, where my OC Pumkin (here's her character sheet) is Branch's younger sister, and I have one of them sing cute songs that the other can relate to. But this time, they're both singing! (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠). I apologize if the drawing turned out a little weird. As I've said before, posing is difficult, and it's even more so when I have more than one character interacting with each other, so you'll probably find strange parts like the arms and face, where Pumkin and Branch have direct contact. In particular, Branch's right arm looks really stiff, but I didn't know how else to do it. (⁠─⁠.⁠─⁠|⁠|). The faces are another matter. Branch's eyes are strange! I really need to improve that. :/

But overall, I really liked the drawing, so I left it like that and finished it! ✧⁠◝⁠(⁠⁰⁠▿⁠⁰⁠)⁠◜⁠✧

What does it look like? (⁠・⁠∀⁠・⁠).

As you can see, here Pumkin and Branch are already adults, and this would happen after the first movie, where Branch finally regains his colors. Although not quite like when he was a child. As I said in the previous post with my drawing of them as teenagers, Branch doesn't completely lose his colors, so he remains with a color palette similar to canon. So, when he regains his colors after being partially gray for a while (and completely gray for a few hours during the events of Movie 1 due to certain events that probably don't interest you), they aren't as striking or bright as they were in his childhood. But his recovered colors are maintained permanently! That is to say, Branch doesn't go back to being darker or anything like in the movies, but his hair stays that dark blue I made in the drawing until another tragedy or trauma happens to him and he loses his colors again for some reason, but from Trolls 1 onwards, this would be his appearance with Pumkin.

And Pumkin would be very happy for him, of course! (⁠ﾉ⁠◕⁠ヮ⁠◕⁠)⁠ﾉ⁠*⁠.⁠✧. His brother now has colors! And his hair is so PRETTY. Branch would probably feel a little weird and maybe disappointed by the fact that his hair wouldn't go back to being indigo or that gorgeous cobalt blue from before Grandma got eaten, but like I said before, Pumkin is very supportive! Obviously, she'd make sure her brother found the wonder in her dark blue hair color and give him a thousand and one reasons why that specific shade is perfect. Although, of course, she'd still be very happy if her big brother kept the black hair she'd known him with his entire life, because she, too, would find black really cool. Especially for nighttime camouflage. I mean, you can't easily hide in the night when your hair is such a bright orange, you know?

However, I think her favorite part would be getting to sing with her Big Bro, FINALLY! Because Branch would never have sung to Pumkin after he partially lost his colors. So once he finally managed to sing again, Pumkin would definitely be making up for lost time!

And that would be with: Karaoke Night!

So this is the song they're singing: "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Tammi Terrell and Marvin Gaye.

Which, unlike the previous songs, is a song that can be taken platonically in itself, because it's about the trust between two people and the fact that no matter what happens, they will be there for each other. In short, this song is perfect for representing the siblings love between Pumkin and Branch.

Which will be very important once they both meet the rest of Brozone.

But that story is for another post. ಡ⁠ ͜⁠ ⁠ʖ⁠ ⁠ಡ.

Anyway, I was going to make this post on Saturday, after making a special doodle like I've done on previous occasions. But when I got home from college today, I stumbled upon something INCREDIBLE! (⁠☆⁠▽⁠☆⁠). Well, the wonderful artist, @sardonic-sonnet, made a fan art of my OC. MY PRECIOUS PUMKIN!

And seriously, I swear when I saw that drawing, I loved it immediately. This is the second time in my life someone has made a fan art of one of my OCs, and it's very special to me. So, to commemorate @sardonic-sonnet's beautiful artwork, I went into Ibis Paint and made this doodle:

I know this isn't quite the design you made for rotten fruits au but I just wanted to delve into the idea of Wukong once being a juvenile criminal who was wrongfully tortured has been through hell and back but has been rehabilitated and is now a fruit seller.

I don't remember how old he's meant to be but I assumed given he and mac are similar ages and Mac has kids that are like around 10 maybe they're probably in their mid-thirties by demon standards so yea, very chillaxed uncle vibe, the eyebags support that but also cause he been through da trauma :(

You said he's built quite the reputation and in one of the asks he thinks he could just slap on a hat and sunglasses as a disguise lol so I thought why not give him the bucket/sun hat and sunglasses he has in the beach scene

Then the rest of the outfit fell from there.

Idk, why but I thought a cool shark-tooth or maybe like a claw or geode necklace would be cool as like a small good memory from his criminal past.

The peach shirt, I'm pretty sure I've used before I'm not sure BUT I knew I had to include the hoodie somehow so I just tied it around his waist since if most of the year Megapolis (or at least I'm assuming the au takes place there) is sunny and he's hauling lots of fruits around then short sleeves are more practical for him.

Sweatpants and sandals, not much else to say, just seems like some good ol practical wear at a fruit market, but the fingerless gloves were a fun touch to still give him that hint of a youthful spirit and maybe hint at his criminal past...

Then I realised his design looked way too much like his beach outfit sans the hoodie and pink fur so I added the fanny pack since that's basically a staple for any shopkeeper in a market but he still looked too much like a beach bum so I made the second backup outfit just in case

(Though maybe that could be his downtime outfit?)

Second outfit, thought it'd be practical for him to put his hair up in a ponytail since he's working and I love long hair Wukong and all but why not have fun with the hairstyles.

I think the apron and the cap really sell the fruit seller look. Very classic and the face mask is just a bonus on top.

I also didn't draw the scar where the circlet would be because I imagine he'd try to hide it with hats so you'd rarely see him without them.

I also have to wonder despite the fur, did he have any tatoos since he was like in a gang and young and dumb?

Maybe the pink was meant to cover up those marks and make up for the loss of noticible missing patches of fur from torture (poor baby...) Just food for thought.

I'd also imagine before finding his footing at his fruit stall, he'd help work for pigsy as like a waiter and I saw this meme of like restaurants in Malaysia where the waiters scream your order at the freaking top of their lungs and that just seemed so Wukong coded lol

(also @ainnur, just curious but do you happen to be Malaysian or live in Malaysia at one point cause I saw your ask of Wukong using ringits at the fruit stall with your OC who asked for durian and I had a sneaking suspicion lmao)

And don't be expecting any frequent updates cause Ima most likely be really busy in the following months but glad this piece got me out of the weeds for a bit

EDIT: Forgot to include in the sketch but I think a bandana (not the strip type like MK's, more like the square bit of fabric like cleaning maids wear) tied around his head would be cute, then he and MK could match!

Resilient

Allette and I have lived through some pretty not fun stuff, but we don't give up. We are still here. We still are fighting, kicking, and screaming sometimes to take one more step, one more breath. But, we are also laughing, falling in love, and appreciating the beauty and good that surrounds us. There is the theme that it's not over until it's really over that drives not just Allette, but me as well in my life. If the sun still rises, if I still am drawing breath, then there is still hope.

Lover of Books

As a mage, Allette loves reading. She makes the comment to Emmrich that with Lichdom it's every mages dream to have time to read all their books. I relate so hard to this. I have more books than I do shelf space currently and there isn't room for more shelves in my tiny apartment. I love exploring new places through written word - whether that be non-fiction or fiction. There's something so magical about opening a book and reading and that I believe is something Allette and I have in common.

Friends are the Chosen Family

Without going into too much trauma dumping, there are not enough words in this universe to adequately explain how much my friends are my family. Allette's friends - her fellow Mourn Watcher "sisters" and the Veilguard - are her family. There isn't any thing in the world I would not sacrifice, give, or do for my Chosen Family and the same can be said for Allette. The reason she even ended up partaking in the War of Banners was because of a close friend. And the way throughout Veilgaurd she gives up and does so much to ensure her friends are taken care of proves that they are her family. I may not be fighting to save the world from Blighted Gods or Undead Nobels, but there have been many a late night and early morning that I have stood in the gap for my friends. And I will happily continue to do so. We don't always get to choose our "blood" family, but the fact that "Found" & "Chosen" family is an option is the biggest blessing!
