Congrats on diving in! I get you on the overwhelm, but hopefully some of my advice can be helpful.

Do Frontlines once or twice just to get a feel for the general mechanics of extended pvp and to sorta see what your actions do.

Now just keep hopping into casual matches of Crystalline Conflict! The short matches and low number of people means you can see more directly what each action you have does and how it can be used most effectively. Don't worry, one team will lose no matter what; people go in understanding losing is as likely as winning with a team of randos.

Things to note in Frontlines:

- Kiling people is as 'valuable' as getting the crystals (and dying loses your team points), so do both.

- Be on the lookout for enemy teams concentrating all of their forces in one area of the field; even if a crystal pops up in 'their' area it may very well be unguarded and you can stealthily snipe it.

- The three maps of Frontlines treat the 'crystals' differently. The snow area needs you to damage them until they break and points get divided accordingly amongst all contributing teams. In Seal Rock a team claims the node and starts draining the data from it, but it can be stolen any number of times until all data is drained. In Onsal Hakair teams claim the Ovoos and that's it, it's theirs until it's used up (useful if you enjoy sniping neglected ovoos in the enemy territory like me).

Things to note in CC:

- It doesn't matter how many times you kill enemy players, in theory you could win without killing a single person. What is actually so so so important, please look in my eyes, is pushing the crystal. People will try to call for retreats or regroups or whatever useless action, but you mustn't listen to them. They want to use their potion (or they're win-traders), but with how long running away to use it keeps them off the crystal they may as well have died. You WILL glue yourself to that crystal come hell or high water.

- If the game goes into overtime, one team having nobody in the crystal's little circle makes them lose, so again, plant yourself on the crystal and dig your roots deep.

For a long time pvp will feel like a lot, but once you really get down what each of your actions does and you don't need to think about them pvp gets more fun. You get to focus on tactics (in a fun way) and being goofy and pulling one over on the enemy. Good luck and please for the love of gods push the crystal! ♡

Not meek, but timid, in a manner only shadows are. He’s dangerous as he is beautiful, which says everything.

Usually, his voice is soft, but when he watches his teacher with such scrutiny, there’s a sternness to it that has Damian’s back straighten.

“Sit down.”

Damian is absolutely shocked, because Talia just does. Huffing and puffing and crossing her arms with a sneer, but she does.

His bullies get expelled the next day.
