Perennial Host

A perennial host is an alter whose role as host is permanent. A perennial host may have other roles, but they will always be the host until fusion or dormancy.

A perennial host will rarely, if ever, be able to leave front, but they will always at the very least be co-conscious. They will likely have trouble accessing headspace, if they're able to at all.

This role is intended and made for P-DID systems to describe a role the dominant-alter may have, but may be used for any kind of system

Until it's actually getting permission from all artists it builds it's images from, it is blatant theft, and should not be used- especially publicly where the AI 'art' can end up getting attention, which actively takes that attention away from artists because people can only pay attention to so much.

Primary Host, Secondary Host, Tertiary Host

Roughly synonymous with host and co-host, however these are just the terms we prefer. A system could have multiple of each.

In our system we usually define it as, primary hosts front everyday or nearly everyday for an extended period of time, secondary hosts front more than half the days in a weeks for an extended period of time, and tertiary host several times a week for an extended period of time but less than half the days. Though obviously it defined differently based a different system's switch frequency.

For colors I(-V) went with pink and gold because I associate gold with "being in view" if that makes any sense, and pinks with frequent fronting(I don't know why). The other are meant to look like less "active" version of the first. I wanted them to kind of like a spectrum

I used Alive mitsuba, Dead Mitsuba and Supernatural Mitsuba as the main Fronts / hosts! The names, Clover and Mi are play of mitsuba's name in kanji! Mitsuba (三葉) means Clover while Mi (三) is a play on the kanji "3" (三)!

other tai could've very easily been a truly (and i mean this with FULL sincerity) groundbreaking representation of dissociative identity disorder(s). because, at least personally for my system's experience & from discussions we've shared w other systems, it's not uncommon for the first impression of alters to automatically be negative. protectors can be interpreted as persecutors for doing the hard shit that nobody else in the system wants to do/can handle doing, but it still has to be done to survive. to move forward. to truly heal.

other tai has numerous moments like that, where she takes over solely because tai can't bring herself to do something hard. or when tai is truly at the end of her desperate rope, other tai comes in to make sure they make it out alive.

there was setup there for them, instead of a two second clip of tai just throwing other tai aside, to have a genuine moment together. maybe they duke it out at first, but in the end, other tai says something like "i was just trying to protect us, and her (van). i just wanted to keep us alive." and tai realizes all along she's been misconstruing her and her actions, and they make peace with each other, and sharing a body.

we wouldn't even need to address anything again after that. it would wrap it up nicely enough that it wouldn't matter "which tai" was fronting, bc they both accept that they, together, are taissa.
