but she has briefed my dad, hey, she's got a really nasty migraine and feel like she's gonna throw up, she's not in the right headspace to talk about literally anything, keep away the political talk from around her. sat there and cried about it, but at least she actually tried to listen. her comfort was "it's only four years, he'll be gone by then"

Couples cross between HSH canon and LMTCOY in the following. Under the cut for length. Without further ado...

Malon and Time

Malon's a hard-workin' gal who has a business to manage. She also gets a healthy amount of exercise just in her day-to-day work, so by the time the sun is down and she's winding down for the night, she is only one mug of tea away from a solid sleep. When they lived together there were many nights when Time would need to scoop her off of the couch to bring her up to bed. It was always easier than trying to get her to go up on her own; Malon could be rather ornery when he tried to talk her up to bed.

Time is, predictably, our nighttime worrier. No amount of tea or melatonin or stretching or pre-bedtime exercise or even alcohol can get this man to sleep properly. Insomnia is part of his earthly penance, he supposes. So he's commonly awake at night either quietly watching over his bed-partner or lying with his eye closed trying not to count each second as it passes.

Warriors and Time

Warriors has some serious beauty rest that he needs to attend to on a nightly basis. He has a whole routine most nights between topical skincare, supplements for hair skin and nails, an eye mask if he's feeling a little puffy, and so on. When he's spending his nights alone on the second floor, he usually spends a solid 20-25 minutes on that routine and then lies down on his satin pillowcases and, sometimes, just stares at the ceiling for hours. There's a lot of things to contemplate in the quiet of nighttime in the townhouse, unfortunately, especially for our Guard drop-out from a decorated military family.

On those nights that he spends on the third floor, Warriors purposely wears himself out so he can sleep soundly.

Wild and Time

Wild has done nothing wrong, ever, in his life. Even after healing from the events of HSH1, he's never been affected very much by night terrors and the like. He likes to sleep sprawled out on top of a lover, and Time makes a fabulous hot rock for this chilly little lizard. He's infamous for falling asleep during movie time, too, unless he's snacking at the same time.

Twilight and Wild

Unfortunately, the older Twilight gets, the more likely he is to lie awake at night fretting. The poor kid has a lot to worry about, though: the intense disapproval of his parents for the lifestyle he leads, fears of the dangers of living in Time's house, friend drama, and the like. At least when Wild is sleeping on top of him, it's a bit like a security blanket that helps lull him to sleep. Twilight does, unfortunately, snore.

Twilight and Champion

Anon nailed it. These two both lie awake for hours and hours, staring at the ceiling in tense silence. As they become more and more comfortable with one another, though, you'll start seeing those great late-night questions. "What do you think the meaning of life is?" "If you could do your childhood over, what's the one thing you'd change?"

Twilight and Dark

Dark will, on occasion, suffer from insomnia. And when he does, he gets really shitty about it. He'll stay up indulging in any vice he can until it wears himself out enough to get back to sleep. When he has a bed partner, though, Dark is usually out within 15-20 minutes. Having company makes him feel safe enough to sleep soundly. He doesn't snore, but Dark is definitely a drool-er.

Legend and Hyrule

Day in and day out, Hyrule sees the horrors of mankind play out in the theatre of the hospital. He has his nose to the grindstone so fucking hard that by the time he gets home in the evenings, the moment he's horizontal he's going to pass OUT. He's tied with Sky now for the Most Naps in Inopportune Places in the Townhouse after taking a snooze at the kitchen table once. It isn't unheard of for him or Sky to climb into the chaise lounge with one another, in fact, because naps are always better with company.

Legend, on the other hand, tends to lie awake and contemplate the mysteries of the universe. One of his favorite late night self-flagellation activities in fact is to lie awake and scrape at his memory for details about Koholint, or about his childhood. So many memories have been damaged by trauma shut-down and by a briefly self-destructive lifestyle that he has to work hard to recall things about himself.

Sky and Sun

Sky is, as mentioned, a champion napper. ESPECIALLY with company. However, some of that comes from an inability to achieve a good night's sleep, believe it or not. Sky is plagued by night terrors that, on occasion, will prevent him from getting any sleep at all. Visions of his past in the Guard, the things he himself has done, and nightmares about demons rising from fissures in the earth have haunted him for a long time now. That's why he always seems tired; he needs to make up for that beauty rest when and where he can during the day.

Sun can sleep soundly, with or without company. She's used to having a massive king-sized bed all to herself, so even in Sky's company she tends to starfish across the bed at a certain point in the night. Not the most comfortable for her bed-partner, not that Sun is awake enough to realize it. She's also not necessarily a morning person, although she has to be up with the sun each day to complete her devotions.

Four and Shadow

Of the dynamic duo, Four is generally an insomniac whose brain runs miles per minute -- all up until he has Shadow's company in bed. Sleeping with someone else brings Four comfort, not that he'd ever admit that aloud. It's nice to know that someone has his back, alright?? Four prefers to sleep between his bed partner and the wall, burrito'd up as firmly as he can get with his face tucked against their arm so he knows that they're there.

Shadow might talk a big game, but he definitely experiences The Horrors behind his eyelids at night. He'll commit to two, maybe three hours of sleep before That's It. He'll lie awake all night scrolling mindlessly through his phone, bookmarking stupid things to share with Four as soon as he wakes up. When they're not sharing a bed, he'll send them via messenger all night long. Hence Four has to keep his phone on silent. If Four doesn't wake up to more than 25 messages, he's usually calling Shadow to see what's up.

What about Wind?

Wind is one of those who will walk away from his computer only when he cannot physically keep his eyes open any longer. So yes, when he hits the bed he's typically out in like 3 minutes. He sleeps on top of the covers or without covers with his hoodie pulled up over his head, usually face-down with his arms stretched out on either side of him. That boy loves his space.

HSH House Floor Plans

So I was trying to write something and I was having a hard time visualizing it. So I decided to sketch out what I thought the HSH house looked like to make it easier. Originally it was just a doodle for myself but then I got carried away and ended up with way more detail than I set out to do. So I’m just gonna post it here just for fun!

Starting out on the bottom floor:

(I know these lines aren't straight. I know things look wonkey. Yes, it bothers me too. But i'm lazy and I'm not going to do it neater. I didn't have any graph paper, okay?)

This is what I envision when I write out the house (second one, not the original townhouse). 

Starting on the sidewalk I have you walk up a few steps to get to the front door. The foyer is where the staircase goes all the way up so you can see the top floor, so it’s open ceiling there. Aside from that tiny alcove where the front door is. A little closet under the stairs for your shoes and coats is about the only real ‘feature’ aside from high ceilings (and poor murdered thermostat). 

Moving up, we go into the living room and come across the bay window. Or as I like to call it - Sky’s sleepy spot! It gets a lot of light and it makes him feel like a happy remlit to sleep there. There’s a big bookcase and a small sofa for the anti-social too. 

There's a bathroom (because it’d be weird for there to be no bathroom on the first floor) but I was too lazy to map it out so use your imagination there. 

Then we hit the main area of the living room - the TV spot! The TV is mounted above the fireplace and there’s a shit ton of space to chill thanks to a very nice sectional sofa. Coffee table to hold your drinks and snacks. There’s a shelf unit behind the couch for all their games and movies and a door that leads outside. 

Into the Kitchen/Dining Area! 

The Kitchen is huge and has a shit ton of counterspace and cabinets. There's what's almost an industrial sized fridge/freezer and two stovetops and ovens. And of course what kitchen would be complete without an island and a breakfast counter.

The dining area probably has, like, fine china in cabinets or something but I was too lazy to draw it in so just imagine that it's very classy. All I could muster was drawing that huge table. No chairs tho lol

There’s a door into the garage. Take a few steps down to make it more even with the street and there’s space for the cars and the bikes to the right. To the left there’s a huge pile of miscellaneous shit Time brought from the old townhouse and things that Legend can’t store in his room. The lower left of the garage is sectioned off by an invisible line that Four draws by glaring at you when you cross it. Enter at your own risk. But he does permit people to come in to wash their clothes in the laundry machines/dryers behind his space.

Out back there's the porch and shed. I didn’t draw the furniture, grill or tree (or treehouse) but rest assured it’s there. The yard is fenced in but any assassin worth their salt can jump it, so Time has garden lights out on the perimeter to keep it from being too dark to see at night.

The Second Floor:

The second floor is basically all bedrooms. So. many. Bedrooms. I almost didn’t fit them all because holy sheet there are a lot of boys in the house and they all have to live on the second floor. Even Wind because I’m pretty sure he’s on the second floor with the others in the new place.

Going clockwise from bottom right;

The small bathroom. Not as big, not as nice, but still coveted. Time made sure to have more than one bathroom in the new place because the boys threatened mutiny if they all had to keep sharing one. And to be fair, it was a rather big oversight the first time. If Time had gotten the ten kids he’d wanted he would have had a lot of unhappy campers.

Wind’s bedroom is a mess. He chose this bedroom because it shared a room with only one of the others and it was close to a bathroom. He opted for a single bed to have more room for his computer set up, since he’d downgraded from the townhouse in terms of bedroom size (and he wasn’t going to need a double anytime soon). He’s got a big honking chair because he spends so much time in it and mounds of junk on the floor because he doesn't have a dresser. The X is the forbidden zone where his clothes go to die and feed the colony of bacteria and teenage boy germs.

Wild’s bedroom isn’t really optimized. A random dresser on the wall leaves a lot of dead space around. He has a lot of stuff and not enough places to store it so a lot of it ends up between his bed and the wall. It smells nicer than Wind’s pile though. Instead of a desk he has a vanity, but due to disorganization it houses his mixing board now. 

Twilight ended up with a corner room because he likes having a lot of light. His bed faces the windows because it helps him wake up in the morning to have the sun beam its light directly into his retinas. He’s got a desk and a closet that he keeps pretty clean. He didn’t know what to do with the space behind or in front of his bed so he got a thin shelf and shoved it in. He’s not super satisfied because it feels like he’s wasting space but he’s got other things to think about these days.

Sky’s room is neat and cozy. Thanks to the weird corner he had a hard to optimizing his space but he figured it out. His bed faces the door because unlike some people he actually doesn’t appreciate the sun trying to burn his eyes in the morning. His desk is on wheels so he tossed his chair away and just drags it to the edge of his bed when he actually needs to use it. It saves space and Sky gets extra time in his bed. Yes, he is a master of his craft.

Warriors opted for a very small desk so he could better fit in another wardrobe for his clothes. The room is smaller than he’d like but it’s close to the nice bathroom and that’s what’s important to him. (not pictured it the full sized mirror that hangs on the wall in front of his closet). Being a social creature, Wars doesn’t spend much time in his room so he doesn’t need it to be big. And after living in the barracks he’s more than used to living in small spaces. The biggest challenge for him was finding enough room for his clothes. Thankfully he cycles through Time’s wardrobe so it’s a non-issue.

The bigger bathroom is bigger and better and almost always has a line in front of it in the mornings. (That's what the couch out in the hallway is for. Waiting.)

The rooms on this side of the house are actually smaller than the ones on the other side and don’t have closets, which was a big thing to consider when the boys were picking rooms. Despite the smaller space, eventually Legend and Hyrule chose these two because they are adjoining, which makes it easier for them. Legend's room is mostly storage aside from his signature rug where he performs his work rituals and his altar, which he keeps pristine among the clutter.

They both sleep in Hyrule's room. Legend respects Hyrule's space and keeps his clutter to his own room, only using the bed. The chest at the foot of the bed holds most of Hyrule's things but it has to be either dragged out to be opened because it’s so close to the wall, or you have to smush yourself against the wall. Usually Hyrule smushes because he’s too tired to go digging around. But he doesn’t have to go into it often because his day-to-day things are kept in the thin dresser along his wall. It’s very small but Hyrule lives frugally and doesn’t own a lot aside from his work clothes, which he hangs behind his door to keep them from wrinkling.

Four won the corner room from Sky in a rock-paper-scissors dispute because of the window. It's an impossibly cozy nook that Four loves to read at when the weather is gray and a bit dreary. It really sets the mood. But truthfully he hadn’t really wanted the room because of the window. He likes it because it puts him as far from everyone else as possible. Not that he doesn’t love the guys but Four is private and he doesn’t want to deal with people walking past his door and peering in randomly. All the spaces above, below and around are as quiet as he can get so the corner room was worth fighting for. The privacy is extra nice when he has a guest staying over. The lack of space isn’t bad either since he doesn’t have much to begin with and anything he actually needs he can just store in the garage.

The Danger Ledge is a small space between the banister and the large window at the front of the house that lets in a lot of natural light. It's called the Danger Ledge because you have to climb around to get to it. Many a boy was bruised in their constant endeavor to climb the Danger Ledge, thus it earned it's name.

The Third Floor:

Upon hitting the top of the stairs you can find a little seating area. It’s just a quiet place to sit that doesn’t belong to anyone else and also is away from everyone else. For the occasional need to decompress without another presence. 

Then there’s the master bedroom. And god, is it big. The bed is basically the size of one of the bedrooms downstairs. There is a dresser with a big TV there for when Malon visits or for when Time needs to watch his soaps without judgment (joking. Maybe). 

And of course he has a huge walk-in closet and private bathroom. It’s got the biggest, nicest tub and no one else is allowed to use it. Everyone else is very bitter about it.

His office is opposite that. Big desk and a huge bookcase to hold his old cases, a fireplace and brooding window for ambiance. And another seating area, this time just for in case any of the boys pay him a visit. There’s also an armchair next to the couch so he can sit there and discuss things on the couch that I forgot to draw in. Oops lol

Then the last room is the newest. Originally it was another storage room but since Winds been helping so much and his newest rig needs a lot of space, Time gave it up so he could have his own space. With the stipulation that he keeps it neater than his bedroom

Hey, hey!, I'd love to hear a bit more about you're zombie AU/ home sweet home (can't wait for the next update btw!) and your psych ward au if you're willing to share more details! :)

I’d love to share more details about both <3

Home Sweet Home is basically the love child of me being in love with both Left 4 Dead and Motley Crue. At the time, I was very fixated on L4D which made me think about how I could mash them together. After I got the thought in my head, I came across a video from Casual Geographic where he was talking about rabies and then cwd (chronic wasting disease) and decided to combine both of the diseases, creating the zombie virus that’s present in HSH :)

The virus is a very complicated thing; like in left 4 dead, there’s different types of zombies. The type of zombie depends on the way that you catch it; if it’s a water contamination, your stomach rots out along with your esophagus. If it was transferred from flies, there’s a hive in multiple parts of the body that carry the virus and spreads. If it was transferred from an already existing zombie, from a bite, you’re pretty much gone if you try to outrun it or shoot it. They can be killed but it’s much harder than the other zombies, and they’re a lot stronger than the others. It has to do with the potency of the virus being transferred. Water contamination allows the virus to be pretty much watered down, while the direct bite isn’t watered down at all. Water contamination zombies are the weakest and the direct bite zombies are the strongest :)

The boys are getting introduced soon, and while I won’t say too much about how they meet, I can tell you Tommy’s coming very soon and Mick’s going to be the last introduced (but he’s going to play a big part in the story <3). I’m working on the new chapter, it’s just taking me stupidly long because I’m fighting the urge to make it a bit more casual but I need to match the tone of the first chapter 😭 Along with that, just being busy. It’s probably going to be updated by June, or late May (don’t quote me on that though, I never truly know lol)

The story is set around 1981, when Nikki was still in London. Nikki’s like 22-23, Vince is around 20, Mick is around 30 and Tommy’s around 18-19 :)

Onto the psych ward au!!

I am having a bit of trouble with this one (as my other posts say, along with not wanting to come off insensitive and to feed into any stereotypes about mental health or mental hospitals). Done a LOT of research but I’m gonna do a more, so it’ll take some time for the story to come out. A lot of it is based off of my own experiences, like I’ve said, I very much based Nikki off of my own shit to the point that it was almost not Nikki anymore, which is why I’m going back and editing and rewriting it.

The basis for it that I have right now, as I’m redoing the plot too, is that Tommy was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder (still working that out to see how everything played out and how he got diagnosed). He ended up crashing his car on a bridge one day during a period of mania and his family put him in a hold. He ended up being transferred to a mental hospital. He’s been there for a while now.

Nikki’s there for an attempt; he has severe depression and struggles with a few other things that I can’t say too much about (I’ve got to tone those down from the original story so it doesn’t trigger others too much, which is why I’m not saying anything). It’s also going to be set in the 80’s, and in a mental hospital instead of a psych ward (as it’s not short term care, and I used the wrong term at first. I do call it the psych ward au though because that’s what I called it before.)

Nikki had just come in at the beginning of the story. I’m not sure what to do with Vince or Mick yet. Not a lot is known rn about the rest of the au <3

Time

As one friend put it, “he never needs to do it because someone’s always crawling up his leg.” Well, yes, but during those rare dry spells the man does have to tend to business now and again in order to maintain that… sunshine-y personality. He’s an every-other-day practitioner, every third day at most. By the fourth day he is considerably irritable. No unnecessary props or entertainment or all that. It’s purely perfunctory, mainly manual, and it's typically a nighttime affair. His only indulgence is lube. Perhaps afterward he can get some decent rest.

Twillight

This boy makes self-care a part of his daily routine, every day. Why the hell did you think he was so nice?? He’s one to sneak away for an afternoon nap, or at least some quiet time alone in his room, and that door is locked. He likes videos, the short free ones you find on any generic site, but he watches them muted for fear of discovery. He likes to be mostly-clothed, just unzipping his jeans and holding the hem of his shirt in his teeth. He likes having something in his mouth to bite on during. A lotion guy. If it’s a special night that he has some alone time, he might try to indulge in a bit of back door experimentation.

Wild

Our bby Wild is a twice-daily buddy, once as a little wake up treat and again as a wind-down activity before bed. Any encounters with partners or roommates are just a happy lil bonus in his day. He has vibes but can never remember to keep them charged, and he is very fond of insertables for solo play. He keeps it to his room and he’s generally quiet but the guys know, if not for the panting than for the blissed-out look on his face and mussed hair when he emerges. He does like pictures and seeks them out often for some solo inspo.

Champion

The definition of utilitarian, his needs are sporadic and taken care of with an efficient shower moment. It’s just another part of the routine for him. Wash the hair, scrub his arms, feel between his legs—Interested? No?—start rinsing. He does have a guilty pleasure for all things media, though, especially amateur. It’s just more realistic. Those episodes are spent in his room with the door locked and a chair in front of it. He passes it off as a post-workout nap.

Warriors

He is also a once-a-day-er because Warriors never denies himself anything pleasurable, ever. It’s a morning routine thing for him (unless the preceding night was particularly taxing), that way he can just hop in the shower right after to clean up and get on with his day. No media, no toys, just some silky lube and a rousing arm workout to start the day.

Sky

It is a rare event for him to indulge. And by that I mean once, twice a week. There is no shortage of interest, and he will give the little guy a friendly hand now and then, but he likes to wait most of the time. It’s better when he waits. I have two prevailing theories for this: one, Sunny might have a say in when he gets to, if that kind of play excites them both; two, you KNOW that boy is passing the FUCK out as soon as he’s finished. The risk of being discovered in a compromising position is therefore very, very high.

Wind

As a hot-blooded young man, he too is a once-a-day fiend, with the occasional second or even third round if the mood strikes him. There is no rhyme or reason to his timing. He likes videos best and will set up in bed with something playing on his monitor(s) and his headphones on. Likes bossy women. Also a lotion guy.

Four

Frequency varies between twice weekly to every day. Four shies away from any visual media, although he'll read stories now and then. He doesn't do things while he's reading, but he'll remember scenes sometimes and let them play out in his mind. It's a casual affair, something more about relieving tension than any surges of lust. It just feels good. And taking care of it himself is way better than involving other people (ew). Although he enjoys squishy silicone toys, it's more so that he can squish them than it is about using them. (You know how some dick designers offer little mini pours of silly things like little dragons or cats? That's what he likes.)

Legend

He's not an every-day guy, but when Legend goes for it he goes for it. We're talking toys, maybe rope, maybe wearing something special that he feels good in. We're talking multiple o's. Something something growing up homeless meant that moments of secure privacy were rare, so he had to make the most of them. It's a habit that dies hard.

Hyrule

During school, he'd sort of... forget about his needs until they roared to the surface, demanding immediate attention or else he was not going to study. Now that he's more secure in his fellowship years, Rulie tends to save those times of self-love for off days, which he only gets 2-3 a week. Everything about offerings

 Hey kiddos, so, when i was starting in witchcraft, my always worry was offerings. Like, i didn’t work/worship any deity or entity but i honestly was so curious about offerings...

Well, know i do worship Lord Apollo and it’s time to explain to my lovely baby witches how offerings work!

What is an offering

Offerings can be seen as a gift to different entities because of a contribution or help in something. Sometimes we may leave offerings just in as a sign of love towards the entity!

How to do offerings

Don’t be afraid, offerings are not the hard shit you probably imagine! Actually, is not that difficult. 

First, you should choose something to give as an offering. Honestly, everything could count as an offering. I personally just leave water bottles painted in yellow around my room for Lord Apollo, some watercolors and a painting i did! 

Some ideas, if you can’t figure it out... are around tumblr. Like i have two posts rewarding types of offerings for Lord Apollo and Lady Aphrodite, you can find them in the master post at the beginning of my blog. If you wanna leave some offerings to spirits, im sure you can find some here in tumblr. 

Presenting offerings is our next thing to do, we already have what we wanna give to our entities, in my case my deities, now we gotta actually present this. You don’t have to do a huge bonfire and burn it, nah, many time it depends in your situation.

If you have an altar you can leave it there with the intention of giving it as an offering.

If you have a random bowl, you can enchant it so anything you put there is presented as an offering. 

Burn things kinda work too but be safe.

If liquid you may leave it in a cup... and wait? xd

After this you may wanna know if the entity actually accepted or rejected the offering. This, as much of witchcraft, is a gut feeling, the object/food is not gonna be touched physically by them, just trust your intuition! Don’t panic either with thinking are they gonna reject it? Most of entities actually receive them gladly if you are doing it with love, not just because you need something from them. 

Time and what to do after presenting it  is something really discussed in the community. Time is whatever you want, really. Like if it’s food don’t leave it to many time because it will start to stink, water may start... having.. mo? (english is not my main language sorry). But it is whatever you want. I personally leave objects till i have to move them, food will last 30 min and bye.

What to do with them... mmm, many people think that eating the food is disrespectful, or burning it, or whatever. Well i personally don’t leave food things, and drink the water or send it down the toilet... Damn it’s your craft/religion do whatever you think it’s right with the offerings, and if you wanna look for more, like i can’t really say much hsh.
