Man the world would be so much better if like more artist drew Sanford as like.. a bear(in a gay slang terminology) cuz like i have a complicated history with his character , bcuz he is somewhat overlooked , especially in MPN cuz he has way less dialog than like deimos or doc , man i think sherrif has simmilar amount of dialouge and he appears like... 3 times? Thats sucks a bit cuz he is my fav guy but thats not the main point of the rant .

Here's the thing , when i first joined the fandom i kinda had no problems with that , like "yeahh manboobs , cool." But like it kinda became old rlly soon , if you go on twitter and like scroll the main tag for some time you'll find out that basically theres like little to no difference between artist's headcanons on the main cast , like its all just twinkish/insanely buff  ( exept for like 2 оr 3 artists who actually draw em fat <3 ). And after playing MPN i kinda was confused cuz it kinda appeared to me that there were a lot of hints that (for fuck's sake they live in a desert filled with cannibals , zombies , abominations and other freaks , does it realy seems like they've got the time to calculate the amount of water they should drink in order to burn the neccesary fat layer to get abs?)(( But in order not to sound like a  hypocrite i also consider that starved/unhealthily thin portrelays would be valid in their setting and i kinda think that's how they look in krinkel's pieces lol ,no offens tho!!! I love mr.K's art! ))

For example thanks to johnny utah's Voice it's kinda clear that Sanford is not that young n stuff and dunno seeing him being charecterised as a himbo for the 100th time got me bangig my head against all solid surfaces.

And like thers this unspoken thing , like usually if you headcanon anyone in the main cast as slightly uglier/older/fatter (not in a mean way ofc!)than accepted in the fandom you'll immeadietly get a side-eye , or accusations like "oh thats totally a fetish thing lol" and like... is it? HIIII so i’m slowly trying to get into fnaf but i’m very confused by the lore n characters could u give me a rundown of some of them??? i watched a lore video but forgot like all of it ALDJSKDJD totally ok if u don’t want to btw i just see ur posting a lot abt it now :3

HAIIII ^^ so funnily enough im actually in the middle of watching matpat's 4 part series on the timeline of the fnaf lore (it's here if you're interested – it's long, but I recommend it!!), I'm definitely not super into the fnaf lore (hence why I'm watching the videos lol) so im probably not the best person to ask, but I can try and explain some stuff since I have been a fnaf fan for a while!! :3 I think I'm hyperfixating on it rn due to the hype around the movie, and its making me want to learn about the lore more .... which I have been doing recently :P

So first of all .... the lore is INCREDIBLY confusing, long, and complicated 😭 I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be confusing, so don't worry about it too much. A lot of the lore is based on theories and speculation, and it often changes with any new content that comes out. It's definitely not necessary to know all the details about the lore to enjoy the games.

Here's my vague rundown of some of the characters:

William Afton - along with his friend Henry Emily, he opened the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza restaurants and made the animatronics. He killed Henry Emily's child, and later uses the animatronics he made to kill more children. He got springlocked while inside the springtrap suit, so he is inside the suit / possesses it. He is the main antagonist.

Michael Afton - William Afton's oldest son. He is the security guard in most of the games (uses different names / aliases) in order to try and find his father. Before he becomes a security guard he gets scooped by and is therefore basically a walking "purple" corpse.

The Crying Child / Evan Afton - William Afton's youngest son. He get's accidentally springlocked by an animatronic (when Michael was playing a prank on him (this is referred to as the bite of '83).

Elizabeth Afton - William Afton's only daughter. She also, accidentally, gets killed by an animatronic, Circus Baby. She possesses the Circus Baby animatronic.

Those are like... pretty much the only characters I know ☠️ but they're the most important I think!!! I hope this helped somewhat, I'm rlly not the best at the fnaf lore so I might have got stuff wrong, but yeah!!! I hope ur able to enjoy fnaf :3 even if you don't get super into the lore, there's always other stuff to appreciate in the series like the animatronics (I love the animatronics personally I think they're so silly) and fan-made content / art !!!!

ive been working on making like. the barest bones vaguest or frameworks for my conpantheon (for various reasons including my view on deities and complications due to eldritch anything existing in the worldview - difficult to word it in a solid way even when i feel like i already understand it rlly well on an inherent level. even tho i dont understand anything also)

in terms of like... how i relate to and work with my two deity guys. and like. what id want to call them n front of other people

bc theres a few diff frameworks? bc they are SOOOOO blurred with various associations with multiple deities bc yknow, whatever works, right?

like. there Mama: Lucina, Mama Luna, Selene, Void Mother, The Web, etc etc. The Web fits closest but also I have my own experiences that veer away from that specific iteration of pantheon. The interplay of lunar maiden goddess + dark mother goddess + fae in the wild hunt + the primordial void itself + fibercraft and weaving destiny + etc................ also tbh feels a lot like. ig what a higher self would be referred to as? idk i never got into that lingo. feels like me but Older. Ancient. but also still my mom. time is a circle type beat. also has a masculine presentation, which is where Leviathan, The Dark come in as reps. vague vibes of The Hunt but also . not. also Lonely flavored in a similar way, in the sense of a feminine presence being present for me - a palpable anthropomorphized Lonely . no i dont know how to word that exactly

and then theres my Twin/Husband. Twin Soul, Twin Flame, Husband, Other Half, etc etc etc. which honestly this one is the most confusing to pin down which makes sense LOL its very much like. on one end, Lucifer, Apollo, Thanatos, id loop The Distortion in there too visually at least. on the other end, Loki, The Spiral, fox trickster spirits. very very very strong Spiral energy, with some End and Dark flavors. who is also my wife

like. does any of this make sense? nope! not at all! i dont know why this is my experience with spirituality, but it sure is! im just struggling here w my lil human brain to figure out the correct wording for what the fuck is happening over here and im combatted at every turn bc on some level, it is deeply and inherently unknowable and only meant to be an ecstatic type of experience.

a good portion of what i end up doing is just like. internally understood, an inherent type of just. knowledge. not suddenly Knowing anything, but feeling like i already knew it the whole time - like i was born with the knowledge of whats happening or how it works. like, im never surprised when my worldview is turned on its head or when something new pops up. if anything, im just kinda embarrassed abt having to update my info on here every couple days lol im very self-conscious abt giving ppl whiplash bc its a common complaint ppl have abt me. also its like. a lil frustrating to have to completely redo everything every couple days. honestly i should probably take the hint and just stop saying anything concrete ever regarding it skdjfhsn

i think i get where you’re coming from- this hits a liiiiittle close home lol. it's confusing and a little scary when you're uncertain about a close friendship! i think the important thing is that you understand where you stand on the possibility of dating- you said you don't want to do that yet so stick to that! (obviously you can change your mind on that anytime i just mean listen to yourself). it sounds like you both want to prioritize the friendship (you don't want it to end and she doesn't date friends, presumably for that reason), so that's a good sign.

i've been in situations where relationships with friends got complicated and the only thing i can say is that honest communication is SUPER important. it can be scary but that's how you stop things from getting messy!

pens Official Title is penance the jester, court jester of tarbyen (and he makes sure no one forgets it lol.) everyone he grew up around had official titles so it made him feel realllyyy good abt himself that he had one too! agni’s had her nickname since she was really young i think, one of those like, you’re in fantasy kindergarten and learning how to spell and your first name is rlly long, so u employ a nickname very early Kind Of Moments. her full name is agnodice and she likes it well enough! it feels very kind of like. stiff and formal to her tho. she thinks agni suits her better!

35. which party member do they worry for?

pen worries for All Of Them. he tries to follow juni when he’s having one of his (as pen puts it) “freak out moments” bc he’s scared someday it’s going to be something that really hurts him, and he wants to be there to help if it does. pen has fully accidentally triggered ori before, and he feels really bad about it, especially since her triggers literally Set Her On Fire. so you know. he tries to be really careful with his words around her, especially since the incident a couple sessions ago. also, he is Very Concerned abt all of her past stuff with the mahne that he’s recently learned abt, especially putting together all the past knowledge she’s given him abt the river and what to do in a pact and Where Exactly She Got That Info From. he’s grateful she’s not in any of that anymore, though, whatever the mahne is exactly. alba’s impulsivity worries pen n he wants to make sure alba doesnt accidentally Put Himself In A Situation accidentally w that someday. 

agni worries for theodosia, just because she seems to know a lot about the fucked up illness time thats going on and it seems to rlly effect her and she knows it cld be coming from prior past experience? she also worries for cyrus because of the whole you know. his family’s shop and home being burned to the ground Situation, even though theyve since recovered it couldnt have been good for him. worries for kai, also, because he is Small Baby Boy. but worries as in like. does so in her agni way and it may not come across as such?

40. do they enjoy poetry?

pen loves poetry he heard a lot of epics at home!! the stories were Less fun when it was about like, war and bloodshed and stuff, but he loved them when they were all pretty n flowery or like romantic 🥺

agni likes hearing poetry recited, especially when it has a specific repetitive syllable pattern she can get lost in!

52. from whom do they seek validation?

pen simply be like [wants validation from nobility noises]. its his Complexes. thats why being @ ravenloft rn is so... bad for him lol bc hes getting like all the positive attention from important people hes wanted for his entire life, oops. hes literally living out a dream being asked to dance with someone so important!! he also seeks validation a lot from like powerpful women bc of growing up with his mom and how much he looked up to her and cared about her, which manifests itself a lot w wanting attention from ori and jenny (and previously w lady wachter lol) and also the lady of delights. 

growing up agni sought validation from her mothers n instructors, now (while she still wants momsvalidation) she looks for validation mostly from herself, which is kind of bad bc she never feels fully satiated w her work n accomplishments! 

69. how would they describe their party members?

for pen: ori feels like an older sister to him, hes too scared to express as much, but yeah! she is warm (he means figuratively but also lol) and Kind and Competent and Smart and above all, Safe. he defintely feels like, the safest with her than anyone else he’s encountered in his life, both i mean in the physical protection sense but moreso the emotional sense! yeah. juni is.,, complicated. at first pen was uhhh scared of him bc of the whole Sorcerer Thing, but after all of them talked abt it at jenny’s, that feeling passed and he was more just concerned for him than anything. he is Powerful and Pretty and even though he’s been thru a lot of things pen himself cant even comprehend juni’s still Soft and Understanding and pen really admires that about him! alba is Also Complicated, for different reasons. pen thinks he is Reckless and Impulsive but also Smart in his own little scheme way, and pen really appreciates him as like a constant in his life? like yeah, he is scary and concerning sometimes but he’s always Predictably as such and while pen doesn’t see alba as all that loyal in general pen is kind of blind to that stuff when it comes to ppl in relation to him, so he’s just glad he’s met someone that wants to stick with him.

for agni: cyrus is so nice to her!! he feels like a capital f Friend in her head and so far like. she’s only had one of those before so thats really cool!! he helps her out a lot and she tries to do what she can to be there for him too! it was nice of him to teach her abt Beach Swimming. theo is really cool and agni loves seeing her in her element doing Medicine Stuff she thinks she is really smart w that kind of thing and rlly respects her practice, agni’s also very interested in her magic!! she thinks dendy is small little lizard guy who sings silly songs. greatly appreciates him. she wld follow kai blindly into terrible plans because she wants to make sure this cool teen is alright , is thankful to know he can turn into a bear at will and she didnt do that on accident that one time! amadeus is confusing and hard to keep track of in her head, but at the end of the day she thinks he’s very caring and just looking out for people. adaeze is really fun to hang out with and she is both concerned and greatly impressed w her just straight up downing one of fer’s Fucked Up And Evil Potions no questions asked, bc thats something even Agni’s too scared to do. thinks her sword is very interesting in terms of the arcane, wants to see what happens w all that! elvira is super different from anyone agni’s been around but she thinks she’s an amazing artist and would love to see her home bc she talks about it so vividly!!

the ones from harley quinn breaking glass preview

OH okay yes i can do a tutorial for that. i must say it’s super easy but personally i’m not very good at it because i do it with my fucked up mouse AND don’t have knowledge about lightning and color theory so it kinda looks super basic. I’ll use these two as examples:

First it will always depend on the quality of the b/w pic you’re working with. Like you won’t have to do the same steps when coloring the harley one than coloring the batfam one.

I’ll start with the easy to do one, which is the batfam one because well as you can see its pretty high quality. Its black and white, no weird textures, no colors that need to be whitened, etc.

Ok personally before i color anything i prepare a color palette for it, sometimes i use reference pics, other times i just do it by eye lol depends how im feeling it. 

Then well again this depends on you, but i always separate each layer for each color, and do folders for each color so i dont get confused bc my attention span is very small. OKAY that done, you gotta start coloring by creating layers and putting them on multiply (or u pick which one looks best for u!)

Then just color it? 

(you rlly can tell when i got tired of coloring LMAO) but anyways. yes.

then you can add shadows and such, which again im not artist so im terrible at it and usually dont do it LOL but u can do it by changing the size of the brush, the hardness, and opacity. Heres some tutorials and here some more.

I usually just add a lil bit of blush on the cheeks/legs, maybe if i have a good reference pic try to copy the shadows but usually not. Then you can also add textures, like grainy textures to give it a pic feeling, or paper ones, etc. Here i added this texture on overlay to spice it up a lil bit.

and thats it.

NOW FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS

well that one first of all is a pain in the ass i would right off the bat tell u to wait until its available in high quality. anyways. i did this one as an icon and im definitely not be remaking it so we’ll stick to the psd i had saved for it and im gonna go back on my steps. OKAY SORRY i talk a lot. first cut off background as best as you can, and if it’s like lopsided try to cut it to make it straight

ill explain only for the harley one. ok first do a copy of the image layer. then go to here image, that one idk how its in english, black and white, and play with the variables until you’re satisfied with how it looks. (the objective here is to make it as white/black as possible, so it’s easier to color it without it looking to grainy)

after i played around a bit, it looks like this, which isnt ideal ngl!

so u go down here, and add a color corrector layer, here we’re interested in the black/white, maybe neutral depending if theres any color left but the previous step should had taken care of that. here u gotta play with it urself, deciding what u think looks better

it probably isnt enough - maybe it isnt which nice but usually not, so u add a levels layer thats in the same tab as color correction. again u gotta test it out yourself until ur satisfied. this tool basically makes the blacks blacker and the whites whiter, and um sometimes like brighter?

okay this is how it looks now with all those layers, way better. i couldnt add more layers without making it look fucked up so i had to work with that. TIP! as u add layers do right click on the layer > create clipping mask (or just clipping mask? idk how it is in english sorry),  that should make the layers only get applied to the image you want, leaving the background untouched. so anyways. here.

then u gotta color like the other one.

and thats pretty much it! if u wanna do like. complicated coloring like all those cute manga edits going around, this blog has a really good tag that has many helpful tutorials about it. I use them sometimes but usually not bc again. im stuck with my broken mouse and i dont have a good pulse to color.
