regulus still not used to sharing a bed with james waking up in the middle of the night and just throwing his arm and hitting james in the face and james doesn’t even properly wake up just grabs the arm and pulls regulus closer and squeezes him and aaah even in the middle of the night james smells sooo good and that always gets regulus sleepy again and then its just happily ever after from there

we always talk about james being obsessed with regulus’ french, but when are we going to start talking about how helplessly regulus moans the first time james speaks spanish in bed?

like, james is leaning down and murmuring something low against his ear—voice rich and smooth, rolling every r with devastating ease. and regulus has no idea what’s he’s saying, but it doesn’t even matter because he’s done for. he’s going completely slack under james, noise torn from his throat before he even knows it’s there. his pupils are blown wide, and he can’t stop himself from licking into james’ mouth, tugging at his curls as he gasps, “say it again.”

barty is the most obsessive boyfriend- but not in a bad way. more like a i need to be next to you all the time or i get anxious type way! when him and regulus are dating, he tries to control himself because regulus gets annoyed with him for being like this. wayyy later when they’ve broken up and regulus starts dating james and it’s visible how reg loves being around james and loves the attention james gives him, a little piece of barty dies because “maybe im just the problem”

regulus and james being friends with benefits and telling each other it's all casual but then james starts coming over to reg's place earlier than the usual, bringing takeout or more often than not ingredients because regulus mentioned once that he was getting into baking. regulus making a habit of putting on james' current favorite show even if he's not too invested on it himself. james lingering more and more after they're done instead of leaving as soon as his clothes were back on. regulus coming up with excuses for james to spend the night instead of going back to his place – it's raining, don't be stupid to drive in this weather while it's barely a drizzle and you're always noisy, you'd wake up the whole building on your way out and if i had to made the dough then you'll be the one putting the croissants in the oven for breakfast tomorrow and they get dumber and more careless over time, to the point his best excuse is i don't remember where i've put the keys and i'm not gonna get up just to look for them, lie down.

jealous james does something to me. him noticing every detail of how other people interact with reg, always close, making sure he has a hand on reg at all times when they are at a party so one doubts who he’s with, arm around him, bite marks on his shoulders sometimes even his wrists, grabbing him by the chin to get his face closer and then whisper something in his ear if it seems like someone is watching reg a little to much

“You’re very lucky, Mr. Black.” Madam Pomfrey tells him, adjusting the sling on Regulus’ arm. “This could have been much, much worse, were it not for Mr. Potter.”

Regulus glances to the hospital bed next to him and sees James’ smug smile.

“Right.” Regulus grumbles to Madam Pomfrey.  

“Alright, you boys get some rest.” She says, closing the curtain around their beds.

Regulus starts to settle down on his bed, but James doesn’t move. Regulus glances over again and now he has an expectant look on his face, like he’s waiting for Regulus to say something.  

“I suppose you expect me to be thankful now.” Regulus mumbles.

“I mean, a simple thanks wouldn’t hurt.” James shrugs.

“I’m not thanking you, Potter. You were a fucking idiot.” Regulus scoffs. “I was the only one that should’ve been hurt, but you had to be a hero and try to save me and now we’re both hurt.”

“Oh, yes. I broke my ankle, and you have a broken arm, how terrible.” James says sarcastically. “You almost had a broken fucking skull, Reg. Better two minor injuries than one life-threatening one—"

“It wouldn’t have been life threatening.” Regulus interrupts.

“Reg, you were unconscious, plummeting head first to the ground and Hooch wasn’t close enough.” James tells him. “You would’ve crashed, and it would’ve… it would’ve been bad, Reg.” James finishes softly, holding eye contact with Regulus.

After a moment, James sighs and shifts to finally starts settling down on his bed, moving one leg more carefully than the other.     

“How’s your ankle feel?” Regulus asks quietly after a minute of awkward silence.

“Kind of numb and tingly at the same time.” James shrugs. “I can’t put weight on it, so I’m stuck here for at least a day to give the skele-gro time to work. How’s your arm feel?” He asks.

“Feels alright. It’s in a sling for a day or two, so not bad. Could’ve been worse, I guess.” Regulus shrugs  

“Hmmm…” James hums. “Yes. It could’ve been much, much worse.” He mimics what Madam Pomfrey said earlier.   

Regulus sighs dramatically and huffs. “Fine. Thanks… I guess.” He mumbles under his breath.     

“I’ll take it.” James smiles brightly.

im doing this again because ive become increasingly obsessed w how all of us can easilly have entirely different ideas of these charachters bc of the nature of the marauders fandom. so here's some variants and why i think they're similar!

ferris bueller (ferris bueller's day off) - cocky, larger than life, popular and beloved by younger kids at the school, thinks he can get away with anything, manages to be charming through all this

peter parker (the amazing spider man) - goofy, willing to fight for what's right, has a sunny vibe despite anything negative going on

anthony bridgerton (bridgerton) - protective of his family, charasmatic, kind of a playboy but also an intense loveryboy at the same time

sirius black

rachel green (friends) - kind of spoiled but wants to grwo, self-absorbed and confident in himself, loyal friend who loves his people

jamie tartt (ted lasso) - egotistical, emotionally stunted, but at the core of all that kind of emotionally stunted and hopeful to learn

daring charming (ever after high) - bit of a shithead, flirts with anything that moves, doesn't realize that he's kind of a dick to his younger sibling

chandler bing (friends) - uses humor as a self-defence, self depricating, charismatic

steve rogers (captain america: the first avenger) - brave and loyal to the point of self-sacrafice, generally really nice but has a wicked temper you'd never guess

annabeth chase (percy jasonson and the olympians) - competitive, needs to prove herseld, can NOT turn down a challenge, architecture nerd

monica gellar (friends) - absolutely will break down if she doesn't win literally everything, compulsive need to keep things clean, will absolutely beat a bitch up if she's angry, insecure

christina yang (grey's anatomy) - fiercely ambitious, will not be swayed, dark and twisty, crazy competitive, knows he's better than all these bitches around him

paris gellar (gilmore girls) - hot headed, loyal friend even if his friendship is hard to earn, has no problem with quick and calculated revenge

michelle jones (mcu spidern-man) - quiet, pessimist but is more of a disappointed optimist that doesn't want to be disappointed again, always spectating those around and keeping stock of everything he sees

jason mendoza (the good place) - sweet, excitable, kind of dumb but extremely lovable

joey tribbiani (friends) - playboy, very comfortable in his sexuality, goofball

jake peralta (brooklyn nine-nine) - always joking, like to the point that he can't take shit seriously, but is also the most supportive friend, investigative as hell, can put things together quick

luna lovegood (harry potter) - this is kind of a copout ik but i really feels like luna and xeno are so similar, spacey, kind fo an outsider, oddball, believes weird thigns no one else has heard of

alice (alice in wonderland) - gullible, easy to convince of anything, loves exploring, hard to get to focus

enjolras (les miserables) - fierce believer, gets offended when other people don't believe what he does

patricia johnson (nerdy prudes must die) - not tactille, has a hard time talking about her emotions

eleven hopper (stranger things) - sweet, well-meaninf, staunchly lawful neutral, will stick to her rules to the end of time but its so hard to figure out what her rules even are

rapunzel (tangled) - natural explorer, constantly wandering, loves nature and art, constantly learning new hobbies

katniss everdeen (the hunger games) - will never change her first assumption unless she absolutely has to, very quick to distrust you if you even kind of slight one of her friends

abed nadir (community) - can slip into different masks really well but generally doesn't because she's pretty comfortable with herself
