part 2 of the reunion™️ snippet- i dont normally do this in regards to larger plot points, but i cant help myself (part 1 here)

*the stranger in the gallery asks harry why he was drawn to that specific painting before them out of all the others around the large room*

Harry: “...the colours... I like the way the earthy tones are with the blue… and the sun, it makes the water like… literally glow or something, and not just because of the reflection of it.”

The man nodded slowly again and hummed in agreement, his bow-shaped lips growing into a softly pleased smirk.

The Stranger: “You know, I’ve always thought the same thing as well… I don’t hear many people make that comment abou-”

He suddenly swallowed his words as if they were stolen right from his throat. His light blue eyes, now finally settled on him directly, bore into him hard with shock, as if simply seeing his face was a sudden impact. It wasn't the same as the expressions of surprise he'd been given from all the other guests since their arrival, the man now seemed as if he was downright bewildered. 

Like he was seeing a ghost.

He quickly realized his current expression was rather off-putting and blinked a few times to collect himself before looking away from Harry and back at the painting in front of them, eyes calculated and confused like he was trying to figure out an equation of some sorts.

The Stranger: “My apologies- you just…"

He took a long pause.

"...remind me of someone I once knew long ago…”

Yeah, he got that a lot.

love that hc where james doesn’t really like being called “jamie” but goes absolute stupid when regulus calls him that. i mean, in general, he’s all so grumpy and frustrated that no one bothers to just add a fucking s to “james”, but whenever reg says it so casually like “thank you for the tea, jamie” or “no, i’m not busy, jamie” or “that’s alright, jamie” his mind just goes lalala i’m so in love hihi

okay, but every time James doesn't have his glasses on Regulus let's himself to look at him with the biggest doe eyes, and with the second they land on his nose Reg is back to a blank death stare

Regulus, very drunk, smiling: Oh, thank you Jamie. *Kisses his cheek* Everyone else in the room: Sirius: What the fu- Regulus, gasping: It smells like you!! It's your hoodie right- James, knowing everyone is staring: Er-yeah, you-um you took it. Regulus, beaming: Well, I'm gonna keep it forever. Bye!! James: Reg, wait- Regulus, shouting: No!! I'm gonna take it!! You can't stop me- James: *Sighs, knowing their friends know now* James, kissing Regulus on the lips: You're adorable, love. *Regulus, giggling and kissing back*

regulus being an absolute menace when drunk, he has never heard of personal space, not with james. there is nothing that will stand between him and his man. like clingy does not cut it, he is fully attempting to climb james every chance he gets but james loves this so much, he's happy to be a tree for reg to climb, his lap's only purpose is to be a seat for reg and he does not need his hands for anything other than touching his boyfriend all the fucking time

I love Jegulus who break up like five times a week over the pettiest stuff. Like to the point where they already know they’re gonna get back together when they’re breaking up. James has broken up with Regulus for looking at him “funnily”. Regulus has broken up with James for chewing too loud.

James loved Regulus in the most sensual fucking way possible.

James loved the way his name fell from Regulus' lips, the way his eyes closed and his mouth parted automatically when James tilted up his chin.

He loved when Regulus moaned into a kiss. Or when Regulus pulled a pillow over his face to muffle the sounds, or when he would bite James' shoulder to keep from making any noise. Or when they used a silencing charm and he made a lot of noise.

James loved everything about Regulus, his coy smile that turned soft when James placed a kiss on the tip of his nose, his always accessing eyes that turned half-lidded and unfocused whenever James touched him.

He loved the way Regulus seemed to melt into his arms, like it was physically difficult to hold himself up.

Because Merlin did James love to hold Regulus up.

He loved to hold him by his hair... by his legs wrapped around James' waist... by his throat... by his chest when James took him from behind-

James loved Regulus' hands, how long and slender his fingers were, his perfectly shaped nails that were always coated in black polish. He loved the way his hands wrapped around James. How his fingers looked pressing into the bed sheets.

He loved how his knuckles turned white from their grip on the rope that bound his wrists together. And gods would he spend hours staring at the marks his nails would leave on James' back.

James loved his scent, the way he smelled drove James feral. Sometimes it was deep and musky, the smell of sweat and dirt from quidditch practice that always meant Regulus' muscles were sore. (Which James had no problem helping him relax.)

Sometimes his scent was sweet and delicate, the smell of the perfume James had given him as a gift, it usually meant they were going someplace nice, (And James still had no problem tearing off those expensive clothes the moment they locked the door behind them)

Sometimes he smelled clean, like soap and coconut shampoo, this was usually straight after a shower, which meant James was most likely about to get very lucky.

James loved everything about him. The way he walked, hips swaying and chin held high. He loved the way he talked, no-nonsense in public but sexy and low in James' ear. He loved the way he dressed, always so fashionable and particular, leaving the more revealing clothes for James' eyes only.

James loved everything about Regulus.

And you would be greatly mislead to believe Regulus wasn't basking in every single second of his attention.

i think one of my hottest jegulus takes is that james DOES NOT get jealous. like at all. he’s just too confident for that. he thinks its hilarious when other people flirt with regulus, cus its all in good fun and he is so confident in his deepest soul that he is reg’s favorite. he and sirius watch moonwater interactions from afar and he giggles while sirius absolutely seethes

give me Regulus Black who runs the family business, iron face, not one of his workers has ever seen his expression change, the few who worked with his parents theorize it's the trauma from having people like that raise you (they're correct) those who didn't think he must be a vampire, and then, one day, in the middle of the board meeting, his phone rings, and not only does he pick it up, he SMILES

'Hey Jamie...I'm in a board meeting, could I call you back?...Yes... Sunday works, tell Amma I'll make a dessert... I'll call you back mon soleil...Alright, see you then, love you too'

and he hangs up, smiles at his phone, turns back to the room and suddenly his face could be carved from stone again
