Woooo!!! This is the best chapter of LBL that has ever been published. I’ve been sitting on this chapter for about two years now, and I cannot WAIT for you guys to read it! And please excuse the dramatic shift in writing style from the last chapter. One day, I will edit previous chapters because I will have the time to do that... i’ve missed posting here and interacting with the community dearly, but i’m BACKKK and feeling much more grounded, replenished, and realigned 🤍 thank you for being patient and gentle with me, as well as allowing me to take some time to myself! i’m very grateful to this incredible community for being so uplifting and understanding <3 i’m really glad i took my time with things instead of rushing, i always want to be able to show up as the best version of myself!

I seen you wanting requests so what about spencer x bau!reader were reader has a bad day at work and ends up hiding and regressing in a storage cupboard or something. Spencer comes and finds them, comforts them and takes them home to have some much needed caregiver and regressor time.

I also just want to say I love your blog so far and really appreciate what you're writing as I feel there's never enough x reader age regression fics.

Little!reader x CG!Spencer (+ BAU team + precinct people)

Summary: Your day goes horribly horribly wrong and Spencer has to intervene.

Genre: Hurt/Comfort (?)

Length: Around 1k

Nothing was going right. First, you spilled your coffee all over your white cotton shirt. Then, you found out that you forgot your go bag at home. Then, you had to borrow a shirt from Morgan because none of the ladies were in yet, and nor was Spencer, which was very embarrassing. And then, you got a stern scolding from Hotch for forgetting your go bag at home when you needed to immediately leave for an urgent case where even the briefing would happen on the plane. If that wasn’t bad enough, the other detectives and police officers at the precinct were picking on you whenever you were alone.

It was no surprise that you broke down. And it was especially no surprise to Spencer because he knew that you haven’t had the chance to regress in quite a while. So when he got back from the latest crime scene and Emily told him that you were in the storage closet because you needed some space, he knew he had to intervene.

You looked up with teary eyes and called out when you heard the door to the storage closet being turned, “I’ll be out in a second!”

“Sweetheart,” Spencer spoke, seeing as the closet was locked, ”can you let me in please?”

You sniffled as you thought for a second before shuffling forward to open the lock, letting Spencer open the door as you sat back, barely able to hold in your tears and sobs.

“Oh darling…” Spencer quickly locked the door behind him, sitting next to you and pulling you into his arms.

“Daddy…” Your voice cracked as you whispered before letting go and sobbing into Spencer’s chest, clinging to him.

Spencer shushed you lightly, letting you cry, and held you close. Once you calmed down to just sniffles, he pulled back a little to look at you, gently wiping the last of the tears away.

“Better?” Spencer whispered, prompting you to nod in response, not wanting to speak. “Come on, let’s get you to the hotel.”

You whined lightly at that, standing up with him. “Still have work…”

“Baby, I’ll talk to Hotch. We are taking an LBL.” Spencer unlocked the door, ignoring your whines and protests against taking the leave.

In your entire 2 years at the BAU, you have made sure to always be prepared and make sure to take regular regression breaks so that you don’t ever have to utilize a Little Breakdown Leave. To you, they are just embarrassing. These leaves are designed to help littles and caregivers take a leave from work in case the little has a breakdown before or at work. While you always tried to be nice and helpful to those at the office who have had to use them, you never really got over how it felt embarrassing for you to be having a breakdown.

Hotch was quick to approve it, letting Spencer drag you back to the car and to the hotel against your wishes to keep working.

“Why don’t you want to just take the leave? It doesn’t have to be embarrassing sweetheart.” Spencer held your hand softly as you sniffled at your protests being ignored.

“But it is! Especially when you are already considered dumb by others!” You exclaimed angrily. You didn’t want the detectives and police officers at the precinct to think that they were right about you not being able to work because you were a little.

“Excuse me?” Spencer looked surprised. “Who said you are dumb?”

“The detectives and the officers at the precinct…” You mumbled, already feeling worse at just thinking that. You didn’t notice Spencer clenching his jaw in anger as you looked out the window.

“Listen up baby.” You looked at Spencer with wide eyes, a little surprised by the stern tone. “Nobody, and I mean nobody has the right to call you dumb. You are smart, strong, brave, and everything that those stupid men aren’t. Just because you are a little, doesn’t mean that you aren’t all those things. You hear me?”

You nodded before realizing you needed to speak up, “Yes daddy…”

“You don’t get to do that either. You don’t get to talk down to my baby. Capiche?” Spencer glanced at you, holding your hand in a tight, comforting grip, making you smile.

“Yes daddy.”

Spencer kissed your cheek once he parked the car. “I love you, sweetie. Remember that and the fact that you are better than every single officer and detective we had in the precinct today.”

You smiled a little, feeling better but still not the best. But you knew that it would take time to get over their words. You were more sensitive than most littles in the bureau, so Spencer too knew that it would take some time before you felt confident again. He remembered the amount of time it took him and the team to get you out of your shell and see your confidence.

Spencer took you back to your room, helping you get a bath. An hour later, you were both comfortably cuddling on the bed, watching a movie as Spencer fed you mac and cheese with chicken nuggets and fries.

Having had the time to regress and recharge that night, you came into the precinct feeling much better than the day before. The pep talk you got from Spencer also helped you a lot with regaining your confidence, at least around your team.

It also seemed that Hotch must have had a talk with the detectives and officers as they didn’t make any more comments around you, whether you were alone or not. It didn’t take long for you to figure out where the others had been stuck the day prior and help solve the case on the very same day, proving to the detectives and officers just how valuable you actually were.

It was safe to say that you had much of your confidence back by the time you got on the jet to get back home.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

Before I turned The Queen and the General into it's own series, the first bunch were roleplays in Lord Bridgerton's List: A Series for Kinktober and at that time, much shorter parts. In LBL as was, the part Day 16: Roleplay 6: The Queen and the General: Punishment Prologue ended in a pretty angsty spot. When it became an independent series, I combined it with the following part and expanded it to be The Queen and the General 3: Punishment and thus, changed the ending to be much more hopeful

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

I meannnnnn as a fan of happy endings of ALL KINDS, most of them end with one 🤣 But I think one of the happiest is probably my most recent, 30,000 Feet Up in the Air (Drop Down)

I think I'm pretty good at having dialogue flow pretty naturally between characters. I think I come up with some pretty fun AU ideas.

As my SUPER PATIENT beta can tell you, my punctuation is not always on point and I think I can get too into my own head and spend too much time on the unimportant details

So Tadejonas became a thing here and I didn't know. I've been waiting years and I've never thought to check the #

I'm even more confused because what the hell Tadej and Jonas are actually yapping since Le Dauphiné ?!? Almost hugging here and there what ?!?

For freaking YEARS, Jonas was ALWAYS on the phone with family after EVERY races and barely giving a handshake or a sight to that pupy Tadej.

How many time was I desperately looking for confort fics on ao3. When Tadej broke his wrist in 2023 on LBL. When "I'm gone, I'm dead" or whatever happened that day I still try to forget. Literally when Jonas almost died last year.

Actually it's so weird it's brutal but ok I love it. 💛

📊The Monuments📊

As promised in my introductory post, it's time to get Monumental...

What are they?

A mostly arbitrary classification of five of the oldest, longest, most prestigious and most difficult one-day races. It doesn't really mean anything beyond a higher UCI point earning but it's a handy starting point for the Classics (one-day races).

Milano-San Remo 🇮🇹 (mid-March)

The longest single race on the men's calendar, this gruelling ~300km outing regularly yields some of the most exciting racing of the season.

But only at the very end. It's an endurance test finishing with the final two climbs, the Cipressa and the Poggio, where the race-winning moves are often made.

Don't bother tuning in to MSR until they're at least on the Cipressa – about 20km from the finish. Outside of a favourite crashing, almost nothing that happens in the first six hours will matter toward the final result.

Expect: To be bored if you start watching early on, but fifteen minutes of absolutely electrifying racing after a long day out. Oftentimes an unexpected winner.

Ronde van Vlaanderen 🇧🇪 (late March/early April)

Spring is well and truly underway; it's time to head to Flanders!

The culmination of Belgian cycling's Holy Week, the Ronde combines cobbles with short, sharp climbs in the Flemish Ardennes for a brutal Sunday's racing. Every climb has a name and a history: the Oude Kwaremont, Paterberg, Koppenberg are some of the most iconic and decisive.

Expect: So many Vlaamse Leeuw flags the roadside looks like a daffodil field, aggressive and tactical racing, riders potentially having to dismount on the steepest of cobbled sections.

Paris-Roubaix 🇫🇷 (early April)

The only French Monument, Roubaix is affectionately known as l'Enfer du Nord/the Hell of the North. That's fitting for the conditions riders face: it's pancake-flat but the challenge lies in the bone-shaking cobbled secteurs (rated 1 to 5, 5 being the worst), usually totalling ~50km

The weather often comes into play, with wind and rain rendering the cobbles slippery and dangerous, shown on the 5-star Trouée d'Arenberg in 2021 (left). Finishing in the Velodrome André-Pétrieux (right), the winner even gets one of the cobbles as a trophy!

Liège-Bastogne-Liège 🇧🇪 (late April)

Rounding out the Ardennes end of the spring classics, LBL is the most climber-friendly of the Monuments, with enough hills to put many of the larger riders out of contention. First held in 1892, earning the race its nickname of La Doyenne, it continues to entertain to this day.

Don't let the lack of cobbles or inordinate length of the first three, LBL is still a brutal race of ~260km with 4,400m of climbing!

Expect: Hills. Hard, and plenty of them. Often better weather than the other three.

Il Lombardia 🇮🇹 (mid October)

Usually regarded as marking the end of the road cycling season proper, Lombardia favours punchy climbers as it meanders through Lombardy – another region steeped in cycling history.

It's a beautiful race, often taking in the shores of Lake Como while chasing up and down the foothills of the Alps. Autumnal conditions can affect the race with potential for slippery roads and chilly descents.

Expect: Assuming past performance predicts future results, Tadej Pogačar to win his fifth consecutive title, equalling Fausto Coppi's record. Beautiful helicopter shots of the landscape; it's not nicknamed the Race of the Falling Leaves for nothing.

As someone who is also a historical costumer, the outfits Adrienne wears are something that I take great joy in creating, so much so that I was actually still making these all day today to make sure they were perfect! Everyone who’s read LBL knows I spend half my time describing the outfits she’s wearing when I have a specific one in mind, and that’s also because Adrienne is very conscious of the clothing she wears as a part of her identity. Adrienne has a very distinct, classic, but lavish style for the period. The popularity of coquette, pastoral, and florals hasn't quite arrived yet (it's popular in the 1780s), so I wanted to be sure that I clearly defined the period of these outfits, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Linktober masterpost

Well. That was a wild ride. Fun fact- I never planned on doing Linktober this year! Because I am not the best with 2d art, I just kind of assumed I couldn't. But on the literal first. Day. Of October, my adhd brain realised that I could do an October challenge in another medium- mainly eggs. I've been doing egg carvings for years, so I figured I could just. Carve eggs.... for Linktober... and then I did it??

From there it quickly evolved into a random personal challenge to see how many different art mediums I could stuff into these prompts. I carved rocks, glass, bottles, etc... about halfway through the month I ran out of eggs and had to wait for my chickens to lay more. And then on a random whim I actually finished all thirty one days, falling behind twice. Go figure.

Here's 100 of the albums from 2024 that i''ve enjoyed the most: 50 hip hop records, and 50 albums in other genres. There's still a ton of stuff I haven't gotten to yet or need to revisit, but i'm feeling pretty good about this and don't think too much would change aside from the order. Insane year for music overall, and surely there will still be some big releases in the next two months. Biggest surprise for me was definitely The Cure making a comeback after almost two decades and putting out their best album since Wish. I'm also convinced that Robert Smith is an actual vampire. he still sounds great after all this time. Charts with album titles included Again, i'm sure there's plenty of stuff that has gone under the radar for me so as always i'm open to recommendations.
