This 1968 AMC AMX was modified under previous ownership during a refurbishment that is said to have been conducted over the course of 10 years and was completed in 2013. Refinished in black over red vinyl upholstery, the car is powered by a 408ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Refurbishment work reportedly involved resurfacing the cylinder heads as well as installing an Edelbrock intake manifold, a performance camshaft, Hooker long-tube exhaust headers, billet pulleys, an aluminum radiator, cross-drilled front brake rotors, and lowering springs. Additional equipment includes 15″ Vision wheels, aftermarket headlights, chrome bumpers, a Hurst shifter, tilt steering, and a push-button AM radio. The seller acquired the vehicle in 2015. This modified AMX is now offered with a service manual, books, a model kit, unused Go Package–style stripe decals, spare and removed parts, and a Nevada title in the seller’s name.

Red flags in a relationship - consist of early warnings your potential partner is pretending to be someone they are not.

While nobody is perfect, there are certain key qualities necessary for someone to be a good partner.

Red flags indicate they don’t possess these essential character traits.

In the honeymoon phase of a relationship, it’s common to want to ignore these sorts of signals.

You might want to believe they’re outliers rather than worthwhile insights into your new partner’s overall character.

Still, early red flags indicate increasing levels of emotional abuse might be down the line as you settle into your relationship.

Some Relationship Red Flags

The Trump administration has ordered the closure of 25 scientific centers that monitor US waters for flooding and drought, and manage supply levels to ensure communities around the country don’t run out of water.

The United States Geological Service (USGS) water science centers’ employees and equipment track levels and quality in ground and surface water with thousands of gauges. The data it produces plays a critical role across the economy to protect human life, protect property, maintain water supplies and help clean up chemical or oil spills.

The targeted centers are part of a larger network, and the Trump administration based its decision to make cuts on leases near expiration, not scientific reasoning, said Kyla Bennett, director of science policy with the Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility non-profit that is tracking the issue.

The administration has not indicated a plan to fill the holes left by those that closed.

“It’s not being done with any thought about human life, it was just ‘this seems so woke so let’s get rid of it,’” Bennett said. “People think water is free and comes out of your tap whenever you want, but it’s not that simple.”

The Trump administration has made few details available, but the leases were ordered cancelled by the General Services Administration, said a water center employee who requested anonymity to speak freely without retribution. They learned about the closure from their landlord, and centers from Alaska to Massachusetts will begin shuttering within four months.

“We’re doing everything we can to make the argument that we need these facilities to complete our mission,” the employee said, but added that the groups were in a difficult position to push back.

Among the centers’ most important functions is their role in flood warnings. USGS monitors water levels in a river and shares that data with the National Weather Service (NWS). The NWS determines if the precipitation levels in a coming storm combined with water levels in a river will result in flooding or top a dam. If there’s a risk, flood warnings are issued.

It’s also critical to state emergency response agencies and the Federal Emergency Management (Fema) responses to floods. Among the centers on the chopping block is that in Charlotte, North Carolina, which managed the fallout from widespread and deadly Hurricane Helene flooding in Asheville in late 2024.

The centers also measure water levels in aquifers to ensure utilities and industry are not overdrawing them, which could cause communities to not have water. The monitors and data also inform states’ droughts declarations, which triggers limits on withdrawals, and water conservation requirements.

I’ve been thinking about the power levels Agatha absorbs and the different levels she gets.

Agatha absorbing Witches, a minimum of 4 takes a few seconds to a minute before she gets “full”.

Poor Alice only took a few seconds to drain, and was not enough to even get past the first level of Agatha’s power gauge.

It took Agatha a while to steal Wanda’s powers but that’s because initially Wanda's blasts were sporadic. Until the last when Agatha hooked Wanda's energy beam in a sustained blast.

It’s hard to tell with Wanda when Agatha got a foothold. It took Agatha less than 20 seconds of sustained absorption before feeling full.

But really it’s hard to tell because Agatha’s been getting little sips of Wanda’s power. And just like Billy, she has a bottomless well of power. Agatha was full, but Wanda was still flying around.

Speaking of Billy:

It took a minute for Agatha to go from Empty to Full. Not just full- but FULL.

It's funny that Rio was standing, out of sight of not only the audience but Agatha and Billy. Rio, as she told Agatha, is always watching her. Letting Agatha do the Magical Girl transformation and power-up.

This proves Agatha was right, Rio wanted Agatha at her most powerful and her best. Their classic dance and foreplay through the centuries.

If Rio really wanted Agatha dead, she could have attacked Agatha in the middle of her Magical Girl transformation (Rio can only make people wish they were dead, but she can't actually kill them).

Rio loves all versions of Agatha, but one of her favorite Agatha is the Agatha in her full power.

I’m almost sure this was Rio’s expression as she waited for Agatha to regain her full purple.

And then we arrive at the point of the post-- when Agatha starts kissing Rio to siphon her powers, it takes less than 10 seconds to get her fill from Rio. She's suffused and embraced in Rio's power, all in a matter of seconds. And it's enough to kill Agatha.

It took a few seconds for Agatha to siphon and kill Alice but Alice's power was not enough to sustain power. It took several tries to gain Wanda's power (which was a trick the whole time).

Not only that, but it took a minute for Agatha to go from empty to full when she took Billy's powers.

You can see Agatha siphon Rio's powers via touch-- Word of God claims that this siphon via touch is a new evolution to Agatha's siphon powers. (I wish there was room to breathe to indicate that this is a new variation to Agatha's siphon powers).

But this whole thing only took a few seconds, and it's enough to kill Agatha. It tells me how powerful Rio is and how she's constantly holding back.

If we watch the kiss slowly (a hardship, I know).

We can trace the pattern of Agatha siphoning Rio's powers from her lips and spreading up her skull. Tendrils of Rio's power slowly embrace Agatha.

And, Agatha is filled with Rio's powers.

Agatha is rising-- ascending to new heights.

And then, Agatha escapes Rio's grasp again, even as Death's powers suffuse Agatha.

Agatha falls to her (temporary) death. (Smaller 'd' death).

A thimble of Death's powers is enough to kill Agatha. This is the fire Agatha danced with for three centuries.

Later taken to Oa, “Spade” is trained alongside other Green Lantern recruits, the organization secretly hopes to tap into her powers, and Jon becomes her trainer. When The Batman Who Laughs begins his terror on another planet, Jon and Spade must work together. Prologue: The Xanshian Yael

Arkham. 7:52 PM. Intensive Treatment Center. 

Jon was escorted to the ITC room where Inmate 36YC78 was being held. He was flanked by J'onn J'onzz, though many knew him as Martian Manhunter. Together they were here to transport the last living Xanshian to Oa where she'll reside in a less gloomy place. Jon was disinterested beyond righting his wrong. The planet of Xanshi had been destroyed and because of his arrogance, the entire planet had flung itself into it's own sun after a Blink Bomb denotated. Not only that, he could have stopped that, but it was encased in a yellow glow, protecting it from Green Lanterns. 

They came to a stop outside of a glass enclosure. The room was in the middle of the hall with no windows or natural lighting. The Xanshian rested on the only furniture in the room, a exam bed. Covered at the waist in a thin blanket, John and J'onn watched as she shivered and curled into a ball to keep warm. 

"Any particular reason the room is cold,' Manhunter asked, his own breath creating a fog as he spoke. "Dr. Quinzel?" 

Jon stood half a step behind J'onn, his eyes on the young woman in the bed. She was connected to a few IV drips and a monitor keeping track of her breathing and heartbeat. 

"Torture." Jon answered. "The Xanshian atmosphere was warm. There was no cold weather on the planet. No seasonal changes." 

"Well,' Dr. Quinzel stammered, 'it's standard here at Arkham. The rooms are cold because,' 

"You don't want them to fight back," Manhunter finished.

Jon looked to the 'Dr.' with a terse expression. "Hm." 

"The Xanshians possess some really intense powers if the history of her people serve as any indication. Keeping the room cold puts her under stress and we can pro-'

"Release her into our custody." Jon says, turning his back as he walks back down the hall they had come down. "By order of the Guardians of the Universe." 

J'onn gave Dr. Quinzel a nod and followed behind him, both opting to wait outside the facility. 

When J'onn caught up to Jon outside the facility, he approached him slowly. Jon stood rigid and J'onn knew he had to tread lightly. 

"This is-'

"Just an assignment. As all my orders are. The Xanshian is just another one of them." 

J'onn breathed deeply before he spoke. Yes, this was an assignment, however, it was one for Jon only. 

"She is to be your charge,' J'onn said slowly, gauging Jon's reaction before continuing. "She's been bounced between here and Blackgate Prison in hopes of triggering her abilities. We do not know her threat level." 

"I am meant to uncover that I assume." 

Green eyes slid to J'onn slowly, Jon's expression was pinched. 

"I also assume this is due to what happened on Xanshi." 

"Correct." 

"Hm." 

"Oa will give her a place to thrive free from the torture she endured in Arkham and Blackgate." 

"I've read her dossier." Jon stated. 

"Then you know that young woman has nothing left and the last thing we want to do it break her spirit further." 

"You want me to give her hope? While trying to get her to show us what she can do?" Jon asked. "That is not practical. Nor will I d-" 

"The organization wants you to get her guard down enough we can assess her abilities properly." J'onn interjected, much to Jon's distaste. "Nothing about this is practical and will require a different approach then what you typically do." 

Jon had been well aware of the organizations wants and desires since joining the Green Lantern team. So much that he could anticipate when an order would come through. This time he wasn't fond of the plans for the Xanshian. She hag gone though enough already. 

"I will do what I can. I make no promises." 

"Very well." J'onn replied. 

They shifted the conversation to something less sensitive. Arkham had ears everywhere and the last thing the needed was a target planted on them. They were waiting for ten minutes when the gates to Arkham buzzed and opened. The had given the Xanshian a grey, overly large, jobbing suit to wear. Barefooted, the mud seeped between her toes and covered her feet in mush. Her hair was wild, the curls sticking out everywhere.

"Go on you freak!" One of the guards shouted with a laugh, his baton twirling in his hands.

Embolden by his 'power' the guard stepped forward and pushed her forward. Weak from lack of food and necessary nutrients, she fell into the mud, a small cry leaving her lips as she tried pushing up to her feet. She was tried and hungry, but the lighting and food was terrible. 

J'onn stalked over, his green hand wrapping around her upper arm to help her stand. 

"Come now little one,' he says, soothingly speaking to her as she stares up at him in fear. 

J’onn threw a look to Jon who stood stoic as his green eyes landed on the woman now covered in mud. The sleek black SUV was warm on the inside and her teeth chattered from the sudden change in temperature. Her clothes clung to her in spots where the mud had wet them. She had no personal belongings except for a bag she kept clutched in her hands to her chest. 

“We will be taking the scenic route.” 

She stared at the being in front of her as they smiled at her. 

“Pardon,’ he clears his throat, ‘I’m J’onn J’onzz, Martian Manhunter to most.” 

She instead looked to the man behind him. His piercing green eyes cut her way and she looked down. He stood there in all black, except for the grey coat he wore. He hadn’t spoken a word to her and she had seen him through the view glass from the intensive treatment room. 

“This is Jon Stewart.” 

“If introductions are over,’ Jon drawls out slowly, ‘the muck of this place has a foul odor.”

In book 1, he sniffed Yuu in the Botanical Garden and noted that they don't have any magic at all; then in 5-70, Leona notes that he detects faint traces of magic (post-OB battle and post-stadium fix); neither Ruggie nor Jack noticed it, ONLY Leona.

Now in Stage in Playful Land, Leona reveals that he doesn't smell magic on Gidel. So????? He has the ability to sense if someone has magic or not based on smell alone?? (The same seems to go for the environment; he can smell when magic has been cast.) Does that mean he can also gauge a mage's power level based on how strong the scent is?????? (He doesn't comment on Ferro's smell, though it has been indicated by other characters that Ferro has very little magic himself.) Leona seems to be the only one capable of doing this; I don't recall an instance of another beastman (that naturally have heightened senses of smell) doing something similar. Did Leona specifically train to gain this ability (maybe some kind of special royal privilege of the Kingscholar household)??? Did he train himself???? Or is it just a gift he was born with????

When he finally confessed, it was bittersweet - you were elated, but equally dreading a confession of your own.

Because it had the potential to change everything. Not only between you and Deacon, but also between you and your team if word got out (and word always spread like wildfire in SWAT).

It was hot.

you were sweaty, eddie was sweaty, the two of you were in little to nothing. him more so than you. and if it weren't for the way you were literally suffering, it would've been something you looked forward to seeing.

but it wasn't.

your sweat had sweat for god sakes. the only thing on your mind was how to end your obvious misery.

the two of you were on the floor in front of a battery powered fan because the ac decided to go out at the same time the temperatures were at their highest. and neither of you had got up from your spots to get out because it seemed to be hotter outside than it was in your place. and it's not like you could go to the pool either because neither of you had admissions for it. the little of what was left of your paycheck was spent on this supposed top rated fan that was limited edition.

it was not.

the thing barely rotating as you and eddie took turns to get in front of the hot air it blew. it was money out the window with how it turned out but it was something.

“this is pointless! and this fan is shit!” eddie exclaimed as he swatted the item.

“that’s limited edition your hitting!” you raised, pulling the fan closer to you and away from the hands of your boyfriend, who seems to have had enough of it.

“hey! what happened to sharing-” eddie voiced as he pulled it over to himself.

it's why an hour later you guys were lying wet on the floor, trying to catch your breaths from running around spraying each other.

With the “random table” (I’m not sure of the actual name) cards from AFR and CLB, the ones that get you to roll a D20 and you get a different effect depending on which of the indicated ranges the result falls into, I notice that there are only three templates that have been used so far for the ranges. We have ([1-9], [10-20]), ([1-9], [10-19], [20]), and ([1-14], [15-20]).

Normally when an open ended number mechanic is consolidated like this, I expect it’s to help with memory and tracking, such as is the case with Descend only getting 4 and 8 in LCI. But I don’t really see this being the reason with the die rolling cards, since it’s a discreet event that (typically) only one card cares about the outcome of.

Was there a different reason such a small selection of ranges were used for such an open-ended mechanic?

Yes, it greatly simplified our ability to balance it. Having less templates makes it easier for us to better gauge power level. These cards are trickier than most because outcomes have percentages.
