All right, according to the tie results and round 3 results, we've reached the finale

Daisy lore established so far: It uses it/its pronouns, and is in the 16-20 age range. It's an automaton and is canonically like 10 feet tall, and is in a relationship with Cian, Kivan's older brother.

Fennel lore established so far: Belladonna's half-brother, both of them being children of Radiance's right hand man and being essentially adopted by Radiance after his death. Fennel's strength comes from the fact that he never gave up on being good and kind, even though it only brought more trouble and tragedy upon him. He helps save Lily when they get captured by Radiance, he's important to Lux's switching sides, and of course he means a lot to Belladonna. Lastly, though somewhat more of a fun fact compared to everything else, he keeps rats as pets.

Zephyr lore established so far: Despite having a prominent role in at least one book, everyone seems to have a habit of forgetting him. One of the adult characters of the cast, he was originally on Radiance's side but not out of malice; once he realizes what she's really up to, he stands up to her and switches sides.

SPOILERS FOR UP TO AROIIS BOOK 3

My headcanon design for Lily after their post-Radiance kidnap recovery arc! :) I tried to focus on practicality, so the upper cloak, armorwear, and belts are magneted to stay together; I don't remember whether it was necessarily Lily who used magnets on their outer clothing or not, but I remember someone did, so I call fair game, fjksjsjd. I also tried to focus a bit on the dissociation and intensification of the red + yellow from their light orange after their arc for the symbolism

Tempted to try and draw all the aroiis characters, major and minor, in this style. May be biting off more than I can chew

Sunrise and Sunset lore established so far: They're minor villains throughout book 4, before getting redeemed and being allies in book 5. During their time as villains, their gimmick is that both twins pretend to be one single person, thus confusing people as to how they're able to do so much in such an efficient way. However, after pretending to be one person so long, their character arcs following that are about trying to figure out how to live as their own, separate, selves.

Asphodel lore established so far: Asphodel is a character who dies before the story even begins, but haunts the narrative. It seems implied that she was Radiance's first target before Rose, and at the end of the series her ghost is one of the ones that kills Radiance

Ianthe lore established so far: One of Madame Spiceberry's love interests, though it seems like they break things off at some point in the series. In her time with Madame Spiceberry, she would tell fairy tales to kids staying at the inn. She's also described as having Southeast Asian features, and chronic headaches

In the trenches fighting all these "oh Rose is secretly evil" and "oh Kivan is the true villain" because the point is that they're SUBVERTING their prophesies? Sure the trio is meant to parallel Odin/Tyr/Loki and the prophesies in the Book about them say as much but. Every time they've been presented with a choice that would have led them down the same path of their counterpart, they didn't take it. Lily loses their arm not through tricking Fenrir into imprisonment, but helping Fennel out of it. Kivan had the chance to leave his brother's shadow by using Daisy, the mistletoe to Cian's Baldr, but he chose to stand by him instead. So no, Rose is not going to become Mechs!Odin, no matter how much I love that old war criminal

[in character] thinking about Rose and Lily. what if we met as strangers and we got along quickly and we can see ourselves becoming friends, but then we find out we're twins and it throws everything off because suddenly we don't really know how to process that information. simultaneously thinking "should we be closer?" and "this is moving too fast I barely know you". "my dad never told me I had a twin" vs "I never had any blood-related family before this". knowing the two of you should have had a childhood together and grieving for memories that never existed.

One thing I think is neat is Lily's association with pale orange (she's a tigerlily, geddit?) in comparison to Rose's dark blue, it makes sense for them to be associated with warm and cool colours respectively, given their peronalities and it gives the siblings complimentary colour schemes.

On the other hand, I hate Kivan's colour scheme, like highlighter yellow and bright cyan blue? Sorry, buddy, i love you but I have to tag you for eyestrain! And the thing is his outfits definitely in-fitting with his character, with his dumb little ear-flap hat and his habit of pulling the tassels whenever he's nevous (which is a lot of the time, let's face it) and that lumpy hand-knit sweater with nerdy grandad patterns (and a bunch of holes because he won't stop picking at it)

The point is I love his outfit but I honestly need to put sunglasses on before even taking a glance at the official art for him

Okay but I'm rereading AROIIS because of the TV series announcement and...

They're babies ??? I didn't realize the first time I read about them because I was about their age but RoKiL are so young ! Like I read the sentence about Lily feeling smug about being oldest when Rose turns fifteen and Lily's like... 6 months older maybe ???

This makes me think of this one time I saw a meme that was a text post edited onto Belladonna and it was that one "remember when you were 15 and you thought you were evil and unlovable but actually you were just 15" anyway yeah they're all the most 15 year olds ever (I know they're not 15 the whole time but You Know What I Mean)

Yk I originally read this series back in middle school and im now realizing that i totally missed a lot of stuff? For example, I thought that Rose&Lily reveal came out of nowhere, but actually now that I'm remembering it they had So Many narrative parallels with Currant&Etienne... Like how Etienne's core flaw is indifference, right, shes not evil she just doesn't care - and Rose at her worst moments also demonstrates the same flaw (like that time in book 4, yk what I mean). And then Currant and Lily, they both care So Much, but it ultimately puts them into those situations with impossible choices that break their hearts and-- oops got carried away. uh. sorry to meta in your bracket askbox! but gosh. i sure need to reread before the polls start huh

See I honestly hc Lily as nb but uses he/him bc they’re the pronouns that make him feel most comfortable

Lily is like Link in that you could argue for just about any trans headcanon/pronouns and I'd probably go "yeah sounds legit"

Honestly, half of the reason Rose seems so quiet compared to the other two is because she probably can't get a word in edgeways between Lily's constant cheery chatterboxness and Kivan's awkward rambles and word vomits, like she definitely is more naturally introverted but it feels exaggerated when you contrast her against her friends (in some fanworks, Rose doesn't talk at all unless it's necessary and that certainly isn't canon)

Plus Rose is more of a "do first explain later" kind of character when it comes to her actions- like, she thinks things through, but she doesn't wanna take the extra time to explain everything she just thought through
