It had been a few months since you and Leo had started dating, and you were, addmitadly kinda worried about it. Don't get me wrong, you were so happy about it, Leo was the best boyfriend you could ever ask for, but he was extremely a bit touchy. You loved leo, butt you just didn't like touch that much. Like, a high five, a kiss on the cheek, and maybe a hug every now and then, but you weren't an all around PDA person. Leo, on the other hand, loved it. He always had a hand on you, on your shoulder, your thigh, your ass. And even though you weren't exactly shy when you wanted something, you really didn't want to insult Leo, so you just went with it. But you eventually got tired of it. So you went to the best person you could think of; Percy.

" Yo, Seaweed Brain!" You called out "Percy c'mere" Percy turned around, and you walked over to him.

"What's up y/n/n" he said patting your head. You swatted his hand away.

"Hey! No touchie." You said.

"Right," he said lowering his hand. "What's up" you sighed

"So you know how I'm dating Leo right?" Percy rolled his eyes.

"Yeah"

"And you know how he loves... PDA?" Percy nodded.

"And you know how, I... don't?" Percy finally seemed to understand.

"Is he not listening?" He asked. "Because if he's not respecting you I can drown him." Percy warned.

"Dam y/n! What do you want me to do about that?" He asked

"I don't know! Give me older brotherly advice maybe?" Percy considered this.

"Tell him." You looked at him exasperated.

"Oh my gods thank you that's never came to mind." You said sarcastically.

You walked away and sat in your cabin. You didn't know what to do. You were a fucking big 3 kid, a child of poseidon! You had fought millions of monsters. But you couldn't tell your boyfriend how you feel.

Leo was nervous. He didn't show it, but he was. And it was because of y/n. He loves his s/o, he really does, but lately he has noticed that you didn't respond to his affection like you used to. When he put an arm around your waist, you didn't squeeze back like you used to. Oh my gods did I do something wrong? DO THEY WANT TO BREAK UP?

Leo was frantic. So he did the best thing he could think of. He went to Percy.

"Yo seaweed brain!" Leo whisper yelled as he broke into cabin 3 at 3:00 in the morning. "Wake up!" Percy squirmed.

"What the fuck do you want?!" Percy replied.

"Shhhh, don't wake up y/n" Leo said. Percy grumbled some colorful words that would impress even Arion. "Um, is y/n okay, because I noticed that they aren't as touchy as they used to be and-" Percy cut leo off.

"Leo I swear did you come in here to tell me about your lovers quarrel because I DON'T KNOW!"

Leo emerged from there very wet.

Dam, Leo thought. Leo was scared, and he had been scared his whole life. He list other people, and he most definitely did not want to lose you. So he did something that was the worst decision he could make. He stopped being so touchy.

Reader POV

"Percy? Percy?" You called.

"What the fuck do you want this time." Percy said not even saying hi.

'Damn, I must have annoyed him.' You thought to yourself.

"Dam Perce I just wanted to ask a question.'" Percy looked unconvinced. You continued "has Leo said anything about me, because he seems less touchy and-" you get cut off

"Get the fuck away from me."

i’m so excited because some pages are darkly decorated and its so cool. still don’t vibe with the title though (the sun IS a star and its peeving me)

maybe i’m too old but the jokes are not funny 😭

i know i’m being dramatic but if they do nico dirty in this book i’m going to end it all

oh my god i don’t think i’ve thought about the words “significant annoyance” in so long. bringing back good memories for sure.

i can tell which parts were written by riordan and which parts were written by oshiro. i don’t think their voices are blending very well together…

also, maybe it’s because it’s the start of the book and they’re trying to familiarise new readers quickly with the characters but it feels like they’re making nico the caricature of ‘emo and shadow and ebony darkness dementia raven way 🥀⛓️🖤’ and will the caricature of ‘happy and sunshine and blonde and flower gleam and glow ☀️🌈🫧’ and i usually like this dynamic when it’s not blatantly pointed out every other page. i have faith they’ll show more complexity than this later on though. future yan will let me know by the end. (future yan here, im not at the end but the characterisation def does get more complex thank gods)

“what was one straight boy when you spent your whole life longing for the impossible?” <- i’m reminded of that time a few years back where everyone made ‘having an unrequited crush on percy’ nico’s whole fanon personality, so i’m glad they addressed this somewhat. this boy has been through so much and people really thought crushing on percy was the biggest thing to focus on about ‘nico angst.’

“we made a mistake. you have to fix it.” <- call me a red flag but if i was nico i would do anything and everything to not go. i would medicate myself so highly on sleeping pills that i can’t dream (doctor bf can go kick rocks). i would track percy and annabeth down and haul their asses into tartarus instead to do it. and if i had to go i would only go in to kill bob myself for sending me those traumatic ass nightmares. no thx. bro willingly jumped in himself and now wants me to save him. nuh uh.

First of all, the chaos with what happened in the Arch was expected, but Annabeth seeing the Fates was not expected.

Annabeth insisting that Percy is alive, and went to find him near the water.

Percy casually greeting them hi. Like he wasn’t stung by the Chimera and fell off the St. Louis Arch. This will never be not funny.

Annabeth rushing to hug Percy and didn’t even care that he was soaked.

Me, internally: PERCABETH! PERCABETH! PERCABETH! 😍🎉

Percy just now realizing that a god could not have stolen the master bolt and might have been helped by someone. Grover and Annabeth looking at him like, seriously?

This convo:

Percy: Why are you being weird with me again? I thought we’re not doing that anymore.

Annabeth: I’m not being weird.

Percy: Yes, you are. You’ve been weird since we left the Arch.

Again, that’s their relationship.

finally here it is!

he regresses usually to ages 10/11-14 typically. he can regress younger but its not often

he tends to be very quiet when little quiet like he's got his mind busy and hes focused however he'll talk and talk when he gets excited and enthusiastic about something

we all know he likes to read but when hes little its the #1 activity for him best way to keep him busy probably better to give him a book with pictures or thats not too hard to read

will fall asleep reading with his glasses on needs to be tucked in for naps and glasses taken off for him

has fallen asleep sitting with trinket loves petting trinket because her fur is soft

will play with his pocket watch a lot shiny pretty thing making nice tik sound

shy about asking for attention will make grabby hand gestures, mumble and whine until he gets cuddles

please take his weapons away when he's little he'll hate it but you gotta keep it out of his reach. no pepperbox and no bad news no matter what he tries dont give in.

subconciously bundles up will snitch someones coat and make himself a lil warm nest to read in probably why he likes sitting with trinket

will build a fort no scanlan allowed.

will play with best buddy grog and pike pike comes up with play date ideas

any questions? ask cass actually one of the best people who knows how to handle him is his sister the party only managed to handle calming him down thanks to her he's happy to see her anytime and loves hanging out with her when little

as long as hes not busy with a task like reading, you can pick him up anytime will lean against you if you sit next to him when hes reading absent mided touch or just general physical affection wont admit it but loves being held

be careful and watch him when he takes naps he does have nightmares and will cry

remind him he cant chew his nails or bite his sleeve need to find him a paci but hes very hesitant to use one.

he does get very pouty and grumpy attention tends to help with that, not upset a lot kind of grumpy but often needs snuggles

keep him in sight at all times hes curious he will wander off and he will get lost

he's still a very responsable little will tidy up and keep things tidy if you drop something he'll tug on your sleeve and put it in your hand or if you trip he'll go "uh oh" and give you hugs so you feel better he's a big brother and he grew up doing that sorta thing for his younger siblings so he'll do it then too

OO OO ALSO STORM MAGIC !! I love the lil tidbits of percy bonding with his siblings!! I'm regards to the storm thing, is percy also like, uh weaving his magic?Power? Into the clouds, atmosphere etc etc to make a storm since there's alot going around nature to make a storm

Yeah! Storms are so fun! The storms are gonna show up more later, rn he's still only got basically a party trick of a storm in his palm. But he's gonna get good at those one day :P

And for it he's weaving his power through the air and forming clouds to start, when he gets good enough to reach his power into the actual clouds he'll be able to influence them and stuff to build them into storms, but to start he's learning to make clouds and how to manipulate the small ones for mini weather systems.

It's like those tornados in a bottle from school, he's making a storm in his hand.

Okay, I've been in various fiction fandom spaces since I was like 12, and while I'm not as much of a shipper as I used to be, I still have a fair few. So here's a medley of various favourites off the top of my head.

- Lumity (Luz Noceda and Amity Blight) from the Owl House.

Because. Obviously. They're adorable. No matter what part of the show you're watching (except maybe the very beginning when Amity was still Generic Mean Girl), they're a great ship. Yeah it's an obvious pick, but they're popular for a reason, dammit! And to be honest, I miss the Little Miss Perfect era (iykyk).

- Dipcifica (Dipper Pines and Pacifica Northwest) from Gravity Falls.

Mostly if not entirely because of nostalgia. also I rewatched the show over summer so I have it on my mind rn. Even though it's only teased in one episode (and a few canon tie-in material like the journal and Lost Legends), it's still cute. They were probably one of my first ever ships, so Kid Me was right about at least one thing!

- Paulkins (Paul Matthews and Emma Perkins) from the Hatchetfield musicals, specifically The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals.

God, these two give me life. They have so much bi4bi energy it's not even funny. They pick up each others' vocal stims ("okay. okay. okay.") Neither of them are particularly happy or nice people but something about them just SPARKS. They're so perfect for each other that even their evil doppelgangers end up together in another universe. You grow to love them so much that the ending of TGWDLM, while being an absolute banger, never stops hurting no matter how many times you rewatch it.

- Bispearl (Bismuth and Pearl) from Steven Universe.

Another nostalgic ship! I gravitated towards these two the SECOND they were on screen together, and continued to ship them all the way to the end of SU and beyond. (I still remember right after Bismuth Casual aired and everyone lost their minds, and all us Bispearl OGs were just. so happy. we were RIGHT AND NOW IT'S AT LEAST SEMI-CANON, HELL YEAH)

- Percabeth (Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase) from the Riordanverse

And another nostalgic ship. Need I give a reason for the absolute ship paragon that is Percabeth? "The world was collapsing and all that mattered was that she was alive"? The underwater kiss? Them going to Literal Actual Hell and back together? These two are perfect for each other and I will hear no arguments. Also PJO TV SERIES COMES OUT IN DECEMBER IM SO EXCITED

so technically (aside from catboy ot3) all ships are rotating in my brain at all times, and it kind of depends on what thing i've become re-obsessed with at any given moment. i am on a duo of fire emblem and ace attorney eras all over again, so chrobin (both robins), ike/soren and klapollo are all on the brain. also ryukita for persona 5 since we started replaying that one recently. also flynn/yuri from tales of vesperia bc they're a very fun dynamic i like chewing on. rowan/graha/estinien just. lurks at the back of my mind at all times klhgkjh

first ship ever: percy/annabeth from the pjo books, i think? thats the oldest i can remember, bc i got into the series in middle school. for other not-first ships, i think roughly around then i was also just dabbling in ds games of all kinds. i definitely read the pokemon special/pokemon adventures manga and shipped red/yellow, and then protag/keith in the second pokemon ranger game. i wrote....so much fanfiction back then...

last song: if we're being technical it's a lofi mix i have on for work (link to my work playlist here if you want it) but otherwise, it's been XIV/genshin/star rail OSTs and a mix of ok goodnight/casey lee williams the edge and fall out boy's so much for stardust album, though really it's the first two songs

last movie: UHHHHH i think the most recent indiana jones movie? my dad took me for my birthday last month, hehe. NO WAIT IT WAS BARBIE the barbie movie was good

currently reading: unfortunately i dont read books all that much any more, and mostly the same for fics. i guess this is the time to give me book recs?

currently watching: well, nothing really TV show wise, though i was hoping to maybe start a rewatch of the first few arcs of fairy tail. we'll see. i mostly watch youtube nowadays, and usually it's a combination of channels. playframe happens to be my favorite (nice and varied playthrough content, but also just a really nice husband/wife duo that plays things together and with their friends). i also enjoy studson studio since i want to do more diorama building and he's the one that got me interested in it :)

currently consuming: ough sweet tarts and a ginger ale technically speaking, im like a zombie at work today and hoping the sour and bubbly will keep me awake @_@ but i did have a nice yoghurt and croissant for breakfast (i promise i eat normal meals and i just happen to be snacking rn fldkjgh)

ok so the one from the calamity trio who goes the Boiling Isles in this is Marcy

Marcy's parents tries to send her to the camp because of how she acts in canon and sees this as a good opportunity to try to shape her into what they want

yeah they aren't entirely good people basically

Marcy says fuck that

she follows this pair of newts who tried to steal her switch

she meets Yunan and Olivia who live together in the Newt House who are witches! ooOOOoooO

they're on the run from the Emperor's Coven and their leader, Head Witch Andrias, for betrayal and stealing the portal door

Marcy who doesn't wanna go back home tries to convince them to let her stay and learn magic

when they inevitably come around, Marcy attends Hexside and eventually meets Anne and Sasha

so here, Sasha and Anne are the Mean Girls (not really Anne, she's more like Skara but she gets screen time and development like in canon. same goes for Sasha)

Anne and Marcy hit it off while her and Sasha don't

overtime, there's a falling out between them, with Anne and Marcy go together and Sasha is left alone with... uh, army of students she gathered on social hierarchy??

oh yeah did i mention Grime is her adopted father, with Percy and Braddock being honorary uncle and aunt

Anne is with her parents but can be regularly seen with the Plantars

Ivy and Maddie are the detention track kids

Amphibia!The Owl House

Luz, Amity, and Hunter are the humans in this one

however they didn't know each other beforehand

Luz's 15th birthday is coming up when Camila announces that they're moving away from Gravesfield

and Luz is... ok with that

Luz doesn't really have anything or anyone in Gravesfield besides her mom and it's always been her mom's dream to open her own veterinary clinic

so if it makes her happy, she's happy

Camila gives her money to at least find some kind of gift to herself since her birthday is coming up

Luz eventually finds the music box at some antique store

but before she can return home with it, she's runs into Amity Blight

Amity Blight, the top of her class, student role model, and definition of bitch /hj

her gang as well, consisting of others and Boscha (Luz: the hell kinda name is Boscha

Boscha: shut the fuck)

she steals the music box

BUT THEN A FUCKING WHITE BOY STEALS IT AND RUNS AWAY

so now you might be wondering: what the fuck

so Hunter Wittebane is this homeless 16 year old who ran away from an orphanage and is now stealing to survive - within reason of course

and the one place who wouldn't kick him out immediately is probably the public library

there he learns of the music box and what it does

he obviously doesn't believe that it actually takes people to other worlds but it could cost a lot of money which, you know, he needs

so using his pathetic white wet cat energy, he manages to take the book with him and see if he could find it

he of course wasn't expecting someone else with it much less fighting over it

so he does the most rational Big BrotherTM thing ever and goes

well if you can't share, you can't have it

and fucking steals it

they go on this goose chase, Luz because she paid for it, Amity because Hunter knocked over Boscha and she can't go because she hit her knee Amity!! she is in pain!!

eventually, Hunter gets cornered and Luz, being herself, tackles him

the music box gets thrown and hits Amity who in frustration kicks it away and accidentally activates it

they get sent to Amphibia

Luz is in Wartwood, Amity at Toad Tower, and Hunter at Newtopia

Luz eventually runs into the frogs, Willow Park and Gus Porter who near immediately take her in

Amity ends up with Raine Whispers who is staging a rebellion with the BATTs. they're obviously not called that in this setting but whatever

Hunter stays in with Lilith Clawthorne, the supposed ruler of Amphibia

and yeah that's about what I have
