How to manage life
I recently rekindled a friendship with a dear friend from my past. She is thriving in her career, excelling at something no one in my town could have ever thought of. On her instagram stories, she was asked how on Earth she managed to do so many things... she said the secret was to not have more than 5 things on your to-do list every day.
I will give it a try today, even though sometimes I can't seem to even achieve one thing - but that is because the to-do list in my mind has way more than 5 items and most "due dates" were years ago... which unfortunately makes even simple things, like taking a shower or eating, big tasks that take up most of my energy for the day.
Let's see if her advice works today.

What have you been putting off doing? Why? Introduction: We all have that one thing weโve been meaning to do but somehow never get around to. Whether itโs a personal goal, a long-overdue project, or even a life-changing decision, it lingers in the back of our minds, waiting for โthe right time.โ But why do we keep putting it off? What is it about certain tasks that makes them so hard to start?โฆ

Tips to stop procrastinating!!
So put all your tasks on one of these little spinners, right?
Add a little section called "Five more minutes" to take a break (you can just skip it if you get into the zone, but don't take it off. It gives the illusion of free will)
And then spin it everytime you wanna do a task
This for some reason helps me a lot??? Like, I sucked at doing things but now I have a little wheel who tells me what to do
Example:
And now, I'm gonna go do my laundry :]]]]]

how to have motivation to workout โก

you're reading this blog to stop procrastinating whenever you want to workout , or just get back on track in general. you are not alone as many others go through it too , but here I'll give you tips to avoid procrastination.
our plan : :
001 , push through
- in my eyes , procrastination is not a curse that randomly shows up in your life or something that pops up and runs away , it is something you bring up on yourself. let me explain it this way : :
imagine you are Sabrina , you love hanging out with your friends and playing with them. You stretch and study and read books in the morning everyday. One day , your best friend wakes you up early to go somewhere , meaning you forget to do your productive routine that day. Soon , one day of missing out of your productive deeds turns into a destructive habit. Eventually , you miss out on your routine and feel a sudden dread whenever you want to. That is procrastination.
It's okay to play with friends or watch a movie but don't let that get caught up in your life ! your routine should be like a ritual that you practise everyday , no matter the circumstances ! starting to do something once a day can slowly lead up to a repetitive habit whether that is lounging or being productive ! procrastination is just a re - embodiment of your actions.
002 , plan it all out
- don't workout or stretch or practise pilates by waking up and doing it at any time of day , depending on your mood. creating a repetitive habit means you need to do it at the same time of day for a scheduled time period. make sure to plan rest days to prevent burnouts !
003 , rest
- make sure to rest at least once a week to prevent burning out. remember that your muscles need to rest !!
004 , romanticize it
- romanticize moving your body to make it enjoyable ! listen to music , wear comfortable clothes , cute accessories , add candles - anything to make working out fun !
005 , find great workout channels // excercises
- find great workouts that aren't too // not intense enough for you ! find ones that work and are not just popular on tiktok !
โก I extremely recommend hinafit for pilates , stretches and workouts !!
thank you for reading !

Psssst! Hey! Yes, you! We need to talk about clubs:
Using the Clubs for Immersive Gameplay
Of all the systems that Sims 4 has, the club feature is probably one of my favourites (Restaurants are a close second, but they're not why we're here today!) Clubs are one of the easiest ways to increase your immersion when you play and make the random townies that show up on community lots just a tiny bit less random.
The Basics
Often, people are mostly concerned with the groups their active sims are in. You might already have a club to keep track of your sims' closest friends, study group, or baby daddies, we don't judge here.
Clubs are also a great way to automate what you want your sim to be doing with less micromanaging, but for immersion, we're actually more interested in clubs for the sims you don't (or rarely) play.
WTF are the neighbours doing?
Most of the pre-made clubs are kinda meh. I prefer to add my own so I can make my community lots just a bit more lively and make sure people's activities make just a tiny bit of sense because the autonomy in this game is not great. These are just for inspiration based on clubs I often add to my own game:
A group of teens who meet at the retail clothing store to try on clothes and gossip about Nancy's nose job or whatever.
A local bowling league (complete with uniforms) who meet and bowl - just don't fuck with The Jesus.
An HOA of Karens who meet at the park to clean, raise property values, and be mean to people.
Geeks and gamers who meet at the local arcade to awkwardly flirt over pizza.
Comedians who meet at the local comedy club - you can even use the club doors to make a VIP backroom only for the performers.
Sports teams - such as a basket team who meets at a local basket court, or a swim team who meets at the local pool (you can even give them tiny matching speedos!)
Scouts! The scout feature is cute but it's a rabbit hole, boo! But you can make a Scouts club, complete with uniforms, and have them show up in parks where they can do various activities and work on their badges. Add a teen or two to supervise the younglings, their parents will be so proud, aww.
A sorority or fraternity in university who meet up at the local bar in matching varsity jackets to make all the other students feel inferior.
A group of old ladies who meet at the park to knit or cross-stitch and brag about the accomplishments of their descendants.
A "business" club, usually CEOs, lawyers and such, who meet in fancy bars to hold important business meetings and probably commit white-collar crimes, so predictable.
If you have a sim with an office/work from home job and you'd like to pretend they actually go to work, you can make an office building and a group of "coworkers" who'll show up to drink coffee, chat, and work on computers next to them in the office. It'll even simulate rotating desk assignments for an instant capitalist hellscape!
The possibilities are endless, and I find the club feature really useful to add little interesting scenarios to the background of my gameplay.
Thanks to SQOTD for inspiring this!

โงใปใ: summer study tips for when motivation is low :ใปใโง:ใปใโง

hey lovelies! โจ
can we just acknowledge how hard it is to focus on studying when the sun is shining, everyone's posting beach pics, and your brain is basically melting from the heat? summer studying feels almost criminal sometimes (like, isn't this when we're supposed to be recharging?), but even if you're taking summer classes, prepping for fall semester, or studying for standardized tests, i've got some helpful tips to help you stay on track without missing out on summer magic.
โ.เณเฟ:๏ฝฅ why summer motivation hits different ๏ฝฅ:เฟเณ.โ
let's be honest about why summer studying feels so much harder:
your body literally craves sunlight and outdoor time
everyone else seems to be living their best vacation life
the heat makes focusing genuinely more difficult
your brain is trained to associate summer with freedom
seasonal rhythms are real, and summer is naturally more active and social
knowing this isn't just you being "lazy" is the first step! your brain isn't broken, it's just responding to both biological and social cues that say "put down the textbook and go outside!"
โ.เณเฟ:๏ฝฅ create a summer-friendly study schedule ๏ฝฅ:เฟเณ.โ
the key is working with summer energy, not against it:
๐ด๐ต๐ถ๐ฅ๐บ ๐ฅ๐ถ๐ณ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฌ ๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ข๐ต ๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ณ๐ด: use the hottest part of the day (usually 12-3pm) when you'd be inside anyway for your deepest focus work
๐ฆ๐ข๐ณ๐ญ๐บ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฏ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ฎ๐ข๐จ๐ช๐ค: if possible, wake up earlier and study when it's cooler and quieter, bonus points for studying outside with birds chirping!
๐ด๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ต๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ด๐ฆ๐ด๐ด๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ด: aim for 45-minute focused blocks instead of marathon 3-hour sessions (your summer brain will thank you)
๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ 2:1 ๐ณ๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ: for every hour of studying, give yourself 30 minutes of true summer enjoyment as a reward
๐ธ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฌ๐ญ๐บ ๐ง๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฆ ๐ฅ๐ข๐บ: designate one day each week as completely study-free to recharge
โ.เณเฟ:๏ฝฅ summer-proof your study environment ๏ฝฅ:เฟเณ.โ
your environment makes all the difference:
๐ค๐ณ๐ฆ๐ข๐ต๐ฆ ๐ข ๐ค๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ญ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ด๐ช๐ด: study near a fan or air conditioning with a cold drink nearby
๐ฐ๐ถ๐ต๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ณ ๐ด๐ต๐ถ๐ฅ๐บ ๐ด๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ต๐ด: find a shaded patio, park bench, or beach setup where you can enjoy nature while studying
๐ด๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ด๐ต๐ถ๐ฅ๐บ ๐ข๐ฆ๐ด๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ต๐ช๐ค: bring summer into your study space with fresh flowers, lemon water, and natural light
๐ค๐ฐ๐ง๐ง๐ฆ๐ฆ ๐ด๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ฑ ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ต๐ข๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ: try different iced coffee spots to keep your environment fresh and interesting
๐ด๐ค๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฏ ๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ด๐ช๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ: face away from windows showing beautiful weather when you need deep focus
โ.เณเฟ:๏ฝฅ motivation hacks that actually work ๏ฝฅ:เฟเณ.โ
when your motivation is hiding under a beach umbrella:
๐ด๐ต๐ถ๐ฅ๐บ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ต๐ฆ๐ด: everything's more fun with friends! find a study buddy and make it social
๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ด๐ต๐ถ๐ฅ๐บ ๐ฅ๐ข๐บ๐ด: "tropical tuesday" or "fruity friday" with matching snacks and music
๐ด๐ถ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ณ ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ธ๐ข๐ณ๐ฅ๐ด: ice cream after finishing a chapter, swimming after completing practice problems
๐ท๐ช๐ด๐ถ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฐ๐จ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ด๐ด: create a summer-themed progress tracker (fill in a popsicle for each completed study session)
๐ด๐ต๐ถ๐ฅ๐บ ๐ธ๐ช๐ต๐ฉ ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ท๐ช๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ด: find summer study ambience videos that make you feel less alone
โ.เณเฟ:๏ฝฅ summer-specific study methods ๏ฝฅ:เฟเณ.โ
adapt your approach to match the season:
๐ธ๐ข๐ญ๐ฌ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ ๐ญ๐ฆ๐ค๐ต๐ถ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ด: listen to recorded lectures or educational podcasts while walking outside
๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ญ๐ด๐ช๐ฅ๐ฆ ๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ด: 25 minutes of study, 5 minutes of dangling feet in water (or any summer treat)
๐ค๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ๐ฑ๐ต ๐ด๐ถ๐ฏ๐ด๐ค๐ณ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ฏ: apply a layer of understanding before exposing yourself to exam questions
๐ท๐ช๐ด๐ถ๐ข๐ญ ๐ด๐ต๐ถ๐ฅ๐บ ๐ฑ๐ช๐ค๐ฏ๐ช๐ค๐ด: spread out colorful mind maps on a blanket instead of linear notes
โ.เณเฟ:๏ฝฅ be gentle with yourself ๏ฝฅ:เฟเณ.โ
most importantly, release the guilt:
summer studying doesn't have to be all-or-nothing
progress > perfection (especially during summer)
your brain literally works differently in hot weather
memories matter too, make sure you're creating some
rest is productive, it's preparing you for future focus
remember that balance looks different in each season. summer might be when you study a little less but live a little more, and that's completely okay. your worth isn't tied to your productivity, especially when the sun is shining and calling your name.
xoxo, mindy ๐ค

15 Productivity Hacks ๐ป๐ญ๐๐ก
Use the Pomodoro Method. Work in focused intervals (typically 25 minutes) followed by a short break. This helps you maintain high levels of focus and gives regular breaks to rest.
If a something takes less than two minutes, do it immediately.
Schedule specific blocks of time for specific activities. This helps in dedicating focus to one task at a time.
Group similar tasks together and tackle them in one go. For example, respond to all emails at once rather than sporadically throughout the day.
Contrary to popular belief, multitasking can reduce productivity. Focus on one task at a time for better efficiency.
Use apps and tools like Trello, Asana, or Notion to manage tasks and projects.
Use the Eisenhower Box or the ABCD method to categorize tasks based on their urgency and importance.
Keep your workspace tidy. A clean workspace can enhance focus and reduce distractions.
Even if one doesnโt exist, setting a deadline can create a sense of urgency.
Large tasks can be overwhelming. Break them into smaller steps to make them more manageable.
Aim for excellence, not perfection. Sometimes waiting for something to be perfect can lead to procrastination.
If someone else can do a task, delegate it. This allows you to focus on tasks that only you can do.
Working for long hours without a break can lead to burnout. Short, regular breaks can help maintain high levels of focus.
Use apps to play background music/noise that enhances concentration or block all notifications to prevent you from checking your phone.
At the end of the week, review what youโve accomplished and what needs to be adjusted for the coming days.

here's the reason you procrastinate
based on Fuschia Sirois' research
everyone procrastinate at some point. research suggests that almost 1 in 4 people procrastinate on a fairly regular basis, and the rates are even higher among college and university students ( 50% of them procrastinate regularly and about 85-90% do so occasionally ).
because procrastination is so common we tend not to put too much thought into it, in the end what is the problem? it's just delay.
well, it's not. actually procrastination is harmful delay ( so defined by the researchers ); it is a form of delay which is:
voluntary
unnecessary
involves important tasks which you intended to do
people often underestimate the consequences of procrastination and how debilitating and harmful it can be. if you delay dealing with ( for example ) your academic works, of course you can expect some negative results in that area, but what about the collateral consequences of it?
research has shown that people who have problems with procrastination have low physical and mental health and practice less healthy behaviors. they deal with depression, stress and anxiety.
just think about the enormous amount of stress that procrastination brings: first of all, constantly chasing deadlines. deadlines can nag anyone, even those who don't struggle with delaying, but then it ends, the job is turned in, and everything goes back to normal. for procastinators this is not the case, they will keep putting off important things and will constantly end up with an imminent deadline.
so, if it's so harmful for your health, why do people do it? some people think it's about laziness or poor time managment, but actually:
laziness isn't procrastination. if you're lazy you don't have the energy to do anything, instead procrastinators are always busy with a thousand non-essential tasks to do, in fact they avoid doing one specific task, not every task ( for example if i need to study, but i'm procrastinating it, i end up cleaning my room )
poor time managment it's actually a symptom of procrastination, not a cause.
from a psychological perspective the origins of procrastination are rooted in negative emotions and the urge to cope with them through avoidance. so actually procrastination is about poor mood managment, not poor time managment.
procrastination starts when we have a task that's unpleasant, but we have to do it. and we use procrastination then as a way to get relief from those negative emotions associated with the task, so basically it's not even about avoiding the task, but it's about avoid the negative emotions that we associate with the task.
we need to avoid stress and aversive feeling that come with the task, especially when we don't feel like we can manage those negative emotions at the moment. so we take the task, we put it aside, and it's instant relief. it's fast, it's easy and it works for a little while, then that sense of shame, guilt and self-blame starts to kick in.
so why do we keep procrastinating? for that sense of relief, because that made us feel rewarded and we tend to repeat behaviors that rewarded us. this can easily lead to a cycle of procrastination.
however, the negative thoughts that we have ( "why didn't i start earlier?", "i'm letting myself down" etc. ) don't actually make us take action. they just add layers of layers on pre-existing negativity.
so how do you get out of the procastination cycle?
go back to valuing your task, if it's so important that you do it, remind yourself why you are doing it
remember that we tend to overestimate the discomfort that a given challenge will bring us. probably your task isn't even that time-consuming, unpleasant and frustrating
be compassionate and and forgive yourself, it's an effective strategy to reduce the negative emotions associated with the task. you are not the first nor the last person to procrastinate, we are all human and we all make mistakes. research has shown that doing so reduces the risk of procastination.
hope you enjoyed this little explanation, here's my sources: https://youtu.be/xTEPNxx0MsA

หโโง เญจ feeling uncomfy in ur own skin
ok so this is something ive been struggling with for years. like i wake up some days and just feel Eugh way more than id like to. SO i decided i'd make a little guide on this! for me and for you ๐ฉทโจ
โโโ
ห ฬ๐ reasons why we could be feeling uncomfortable with ourselves and who we are
โก having a shitty mental diet and consuming media and things that make you feel bad abt urself
โก being in an environment where we're constantly being judged or put down, even over the most basic things
โก hanging around negative people or negative places
โก not giving urself enough credit for ur own achievements and accomplishments
โก changing urself constantly for others and not having a clear sense of self to hold on to
โก not having boundaries on how you and others treat you
โก staying stagnant in the same place in your life and not changing (๐๐๏ธalso read: get comfy being uncomfy โก)
โก not paying enough attention to yourself and avoiding your genuine thoughts, feelings and emotions
๐งธ๐ เฃชห 1. be gentle with yourself!
pleasepleaseplease its ok to have bad days its ok to not feel great every day. treat yourself as you would someone you love. if you just aren't feeling good today, then you aren't feeling good! honour that and respect that and deal with that accordingly. even if you are uncomfortable with yourself right now or you don't like yourself right now, please try and treat yourself with care regardless, because no matter what stage you are in in your life right now you are and always will be the most important person in ur life, so TREAT URSELF LIKE IT๐ซถ๐
๐งธ๐ เฃชห 2. inspiration, not comparison!
i know its often told not to go looking at people who are ahead of you in these times but hear me out. i think looking at and observing people you admire who are further ahead of you is very motivating to build yourself up and *become more like them* in your own way. you look up to them because of ___? what can you do to become your own version of that? thinking like this gets me more inspired to just get out of bed because i want to be more like them.
two words for this one - NO. COMPARISON. gaining inspiration from others to better yourself and comparing yourself to others are two completely different things. ๐ซถ (shameless self promo, but i have a post on this here! ๐ฉทโจ)
๐งธ๐ เฃชห 3. analysis: detective work chapter!
journal and think and think to urself why u might feel like this or what caused this. when did it start? has anything happened lately that may have caused this? how does it feel, in depth? what can you do to combat this? how can you make it through the day & make it so you do even better tomorrow?
๐งธ๐ เฃชห 4. channeling the mindset!
back to my point on our idols, thinking like them & thinking what they'd do in this situation helps me a lot. personally one of my idols is ada lovelace so whenever im really tired and unmotivated or insecure on my abilities or appearance or anything else i think to myself "what would she do?" and 9 times out of 10 im up at my desk in my cutest outfit hard at work. this is def one of my favourite points and something i use on the daily for like literally everything and 100% recommend ๐ฉทโจ
๐งธ๐ เฃชห 5. what would i do?
similarly, ask urself what the best version of yourself or the version of urself youre working towards would do in this situation. be your own inspiration. be ur own muse. would they stay in bed and rot all day? if the answer is no then ur up. out. immediately. ask urself what they would do. if ur feeling drained, would they take a day off to do some self care and recharge? if ur feeling sad, would they be gentle with themselves and let themselves feel sad for a little while & try to work to the root of the problem?
๐งธ๐ เฃชห 6. understanding yourself!
make a list of the things that make you the happiest and most comfortable & productive and the things that make you the unhappiest and the opposite of those things. i mentioned this in my recharge day post, but figuring out these will help you find out which negative behaviours or habits are lowering ur vibrations and making u feel like this, and help u to engage more in the things that make you happy with yourself and everything around you ๐โจ
๐งธ๐ เฃชห 7. pay attention!
pay close attention to ur internal landscape and your self talk throughout the day. note down every little thing you notice, even if you think it won't be helpful; for example, do you find yourself indulging in negative talk abt urself, negative talk abt others, constantly being pessimistic and expecting the worst, indulging in judgement and criticism of urself and everyone around you, getting distracted easily, and so on.
๐งธ๐ เฃชห 8. what would i do, part 2
like i mentioned earlier, you should be your own inspiration. you should be your own muse. as much as it's nice to have idols, when ur trying to change something about urself and adjust and improve ur own behaviours, you should be mainly focusing on what you want to achieve by changing said behaviours. do you know who you're working towards being? do you know how you want to feel? do you know what you are changing these things you feel into? think about whether or not the person you are now lines up with the person you want to be in all aspects of ur life. if you feel like you aren't even trying to meet these standards then of course ur gonna feel bad about urself. of course don't be too hard on urself, but keep this in mind. ๐โจ
finally, remember that these things are temporary and it wont be like this forever. ur beautiful and perfect no matter what and in these times u gotta show up for yourself even more and never give up! i believe in u ๐ซถ๐ฉท
all my love ๐๐ฌโจ๐
#finally updated and revamped this who's proud of me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#im very proud of me actually i've been procrastinating this for ages#i loved this post when i was first starting out so i am very pleased that i've revamped it in my new style <3#it girlism เญจ๐นญเญง#wonyoungism#it girl#self concept#thewizardliz#self care#pink pilates princess#glow up era#that girl#girblogging#this is a girlblog#girlblogging#this is what makes us girls#im just a girl#girlcore#girlworld#becoming that girl#glow up#it girl energy#girl therapy#girl code#pink girl#girly girl#pink pink pink#mental health support#mental health awareness#mental health tips

habits i should try to avoid burnout ๐ต
to varying degrees, every semester i burn out. this one may become the worst i've had in recent years if i'm not careful bc of the way i'm trying to pack my schedule. anxiety has been unexpectedly high this week and it's only week 1! ๐
๐ข self-care:
get 8-10 hours of sleep daily
daily exercise - enough to get me physically tired enough to sleep
meditate AND journal daily
give myself at least one day a week to chill (probably will be a "reset" day bc i can't just vegetable and expect my brain to not self-destruct. for now, let's try saturdays.)
more quality time with the people i love throughout the week
fresh air + sunlight when the weather isn't too inhospitable
no phone mornings (i quickly fell out of the habit but it did wonders for my mental health ๐ญ)
๐ฐ time management:
set reasonable goals. don't kid yourself into thinking you can complete everything on a to-do list you doubt you can finish even half of - if you doubt, you're probably right.
take plenty of breaks throughout the day
don't procrastinate bc procrastination's consequences will definitely lead to burnout. on the days you just don't feel it, give yourself a reason to study that speaks to you. what is demotivating you? give yourself the encouragement you need to not give up.
vary the order in which you do things so your days feel like they have more variety (e.g. vary the order in which you work on different subjects every day)
study based on energy level (i.e. try to study high-energy subjects when you have high energy and low-energy subjects when you have low energy. stop for the day when you're just not there anymore, don't try to push it.) this doesn't have to be contradictory to the point above cuz i still have lots of choices for what to do and my energy sometimes fluctuates like crazy throughout a single day.
