Based on my own experiences with many emotionally abusive PI's and also being groomed by one, I wanted to make a list of things to look out for. I am speaking from my own experiences, but I do think it's important. I hope this helps you, for any fellow people in stem, in academia, in research, or in university. Some of the examples I use are ones I have either experienced personally, I know people who have experienced similar, or ones I thought of based on my experience.

Professors should communicate with you over email primarily, or school/work approved channels. It can be a red flag if they use your personal number to contact you and especially if they show anger or feel threatened you try to keep the conversations over safe channels (like your school email).

Professors should not be contacting you about personal things, asking you to be their emotional support system, asking you personal questions, love bombing you, talking to you "like a friend", etc. It is important your mentor keeps a professional boundary between you and them when you are their direct employee or student. I say this because I realize some people may say "Ever since I've graduated I am close and good friends with my old PI/professor", but what I am talking about is when you are their student and the professional boundaries are blurred and crossed. For example, a professor texting you "Hello can we change our meeting to 2PM?" or "How is your data collection going?" or "Good job at the conference. I am proud of you!" are examples of likely professional statements. Examples that are not professional and are inappropriate can be "I'm at a bonfire at my friends house, you should come by next time!" and "Do you like the picture UNIVERSITY just took of me?" and something like "How are you doing tonight? I'm have a beer and a good dinner, going to be a blast."

it is never appropriate for them to yell at you or belittle you. It is never appropriate for them to degrade or embarrass you. If you make a mistake it is your mentor's responsibility to communicate that you made a mistake and be clear about their expectations of you going forward. It is also appropriate for your professor to give you constructive criticism, to give you expectations and deadlines, correct you when you are wrong about something, and express mild or professional level of disappointment when you do something irresponsible (for example, working with a chemical unsafely around another coworker, if you say something unprofessional or inappropriate that warrants correction, if you do not meet a deadline for something time sensitive like a federal grant application, etc.) It is not appropriate for them to be disappointed or guilt tripping about human errors and mistakes. You should not fear being corrected by your mentor, you should not be afraid to admit mistakes, you should not feel like they have "good days" and "bad days" when it comes to these things, you should not be held accountable for things out of your control (ie the experiment fails and needs to be redone even though you made no mistakes and your technique was fine). You should never be yelled at. You should not be given critique with no solutions (ie your professor saying "You don't work hard enough" and then giving you no reasons or constructive reasons why, ie your professor saying "Your emails annoy me" with no reasons or constructive solutions to improving your communication). Professors should also not hold you accountable for things that are their fault (ie your mentor yells at you for not submitting something on time that they never told you was due or that they wanted within in a specific time). You also should be mindful that professor's like anyone else in your life should have appropriate levels of reactions to things, even more so with a professional boundary. For example, if you miss a meeting them screaming at you and insulting you and acting like this is the ultimate betrayal is not an appropriate reaction to that mistake.

Your mentor should not joke inappropriately with you. They should not tell you jokes that obscure professional lines or are concealed belittlement. Examples: "If you don't pass your test I'll whip you!", [sexual/romantic/intimate jokes of any kind]. "I was confused by your email, must be all the beer I've been drinking!".

Your professor should not be talking about other students, coworkers, and even other professors behind their back to you. Example, "UNDERGRADUATE STUDENT is so dramatic when she makes mistakes don't you think?", "OTHER PROFESSOR doesn't deserve to get grants, I can't believe you're taking his class", "YOUR COWORKER has been going through a lot these past few months + [proceeds to tell you personal & private information about them]"

The hardest part about school/research/academia should bet he work. It can be difficult and burnout is common especially when deadlines out of your control comes up and understandable (given that you are not being overworked). What shouldn't be difficult is the mentor you have. You should not be burnt out, depressed, or exhausted because of how your mentor treats you. You should not fear going to work. You should not have to lie/people please/perform to avoid a "bad day" from your mentor. You should not be made to cry, or mentally break down weekly or even daily or even ever by your mentor.

It can be a red flag if your professor insults you to your face but to colleagues/other professors/other professionals they sing your praises and over-compliment you.

Your professor should not ask you to do things that are unsafe or illegal. They should not ask you to do things that are OSHA violations, against federal lab safety guidelines (ie via the state DOT, EPA, EHRS, etc). They should not ask you to transport things in your car that could be unsafe, especially over state lines.

Maybe stem specific, but do not work in a lab that does not follow HIPAA guidelines, that does not follow the IRB, that does not follow the iACUC. For your own safety career wise + personally, this is not a safe situation to be in.

Mentors should not ask you things that are personal or private about you without you stating it first/giving the okay. Examples: asking about family, asking about health status and medications, asking about disabilities/mental health diagnoses, asking about sex and romantic life, asking about drinking and or drug use, asking intimate details about your outside friends and family, etc. It is not to say you cannot talk about these things, but they should not ask you and boundaries and consent is important here.

Red flag could be how your professor treats other students, even if you feel like they are "treating you well."

it could be a red flag if your professor overly rewards you or gives you intimate and expensive gifts. This is very much context dependent. Here's some examples from my groomer that I have catalogued as appropriate and not appropriate: When I was close to graduating he gifted me a hardcover book of a mathematical theorem we were studying, which I saw as appropriate. What i saw as inappropriate, was him giving me chocolates/cookies + intimate notes/cards for my birthday.

It is not necessarily unprofessional to have lunch with your professor or even other meals but again this can be context dependent (+ within your own boundaries). Potentially appropraite: "Hello. I need to reschedule our meeting for Noon? Can we meet over lunch?". Likely inappropriate (example from my own groomer): over text says something like "Rolls the dice...lunch? We can then walk around PARK NEAR YOUR HOUSE together."

Red flags can be that a professor starts to blur professional lines after you leave their lab or graduate, especially as these boundaries were pushed throughout the relationship.

Professors should be open to constructive criticism as a mentor and take accountability healthily and non defensively.

Professors should not be texting or calling you "off hours". There are some very specific situations this may be appropriate (Ie you are a graduate student and your professor who also does benchwork in the lab calls you with a lab related emergency regarding your samples (ie the freezer broke) or regarding safety if you are on the emergency contact list). They should not be calling you for personal matters/chatting you up like you are a friend/dating.

It is never appropriate to be asked to do romantic or sexual favors from a professor. It is also inappropriate for them to blackmail you

Album Review: Tropical Campfire’s (1992)

No, that’s not a [sic] in the album title. The original release had “...tropical campfire’s…” on the cover, a snippet from the vivid liner notes:

Somewhere in the great desert ocean the mighty bird stretches her wings. Night is falling and the horizon slowly disappears into the stars. Now she must navigate by the southwestern tropical campfire's mambo raga songs, their sounds rising from the desert floor up with the winds lifting her higher and higher and finally giving her a dead reckon, eastward, to the oasis and her home.

In the subsequent releases of this album, the cover was redone and our beloved apostrophe removed, likely due to the misconception that there was a glaring grammatical error on the cover. 

This album marks the end of Michael’s 13 year hiatus from studio album releases, and also marks the return of Red Rhodes to the recording studio! The tour associated with this album was one of the last things Red would work on, and his presence really takes the band from good to absolutely stunning. This is especially evident in the live performances, most notably for myself this one. I think I experienced a slice of ego death while watching - up until that point I hadn’t really appreciated the album, held back by my preconceptions of music from this time period in general and to an extent my love for the sound of Michael’s early work. Seeing the band live (recorded) in action made it impossible to ignore the dedication and passion the players have for their music - Tropical Campfires is not an album, it is a lifestyle, a convergence of musical styles and spiritual beliefs which culminated into twelve pristine tracks through which we can share in a small piece of that sublime artistry. 

A poll from my wonderful readers indicated that the track-by-track review style was nicer to read than the indiscriminately divisive utilization of favorites/critiques, so that’s how I’ll approach this one. Après vous! 

“Yellow Butterfly” - Any theoretical physicists in the crowd tonight? Referring to the “butterfly effect,” this song is a perfect introduction to what Tropical Campfires has to offer: contemplative melodies, jazzy piano and soft drum evoking the feeling of a warm lounge room, and an extraordinarily skillful guitar section swirling with a tropical breeze. 

“Laugh Kills Lonesome” - Just as someone who didn’t read the CD liner won’t understand its title, if you’re not familiar with the Charlie Russell painting Laugh Kills Lonesome, you might choose to pass this song by. It has a funky swing to it and a riveting percussion section and - not to repeat myself over and over, but the band is so talented. Michael’s recounting of his own experience with loneliness makes this song all the more powerful, and recursive in its truthfulness - who, listening, can feel lonesome? 

“Moon Over Rio Grande” - Drawing on the same gentle cowboyishness that is surprisingly shown not on his early records, but on Radio Wing, this song is pristine in its quietly passionate nature. His voice here is strong and intricately varied, demonstrating his abilities without abusing them. The minor key harmonic blend is strange and fascinating, adding a dissonant depth to a song that might otherwise be too beautiful. I make a broken record of myself at this point to say that Jorgenson is a master of the classical guitar (and others of its kind); and if you ever wanted to simply hear him in action without all those vocals getting in the way…

“One…” - Aside from its being a lovely composition and a bit of an instrumental break, this song certainly foreshadows the sort of music we’d hear two years later on The Garden. It features a tasteful callback to the chorus melody of “Rio,” letting it shine in a way we haven’t seen before, in a new genre. This album as a whole shows how thin the boundaries of style and genre are, in a much classier way than some of his previous attempts.

“Juliana” - Hasn’t it been a while since we’ve heard a pure, unironic love song from him? Unencumbered by youthful pride and folly, Michael sings a confession of his “true heart’s desire” in a way that might seem trite if not for its concrete sincerity. From another artist, this might be just another song on the shelf - but for the man with an extensive history of writing songs about moving on, rolling with the flow, and letting unfulfilling love pass him by, there is something supremely satisfying about the intensity, the slow, thoughtful dedication represented by this song.

“Brazil” - I’m hardly enough of a linguist to comment on the execution of this song, but it sounds lovely, the performance is wholehearted, and he even kills it live.

“In the Still of the Night” - Michael does two Cole Porter songs on this album, and although the second one is good too, no matter how many times I listen to this one, it always blows me away. It feels silly to love so deeply a song that the artist - being a notable songwriter themselves - did not write; but as with “Wax Minute,” it feels as if this song was written intentionally for him to sing. The understated bass-and-rhythm backing does the tenderhearted lyrics well - altogether, this song could not be more perfectly done in my book, save for being a few minutes longer. 

“Rising in Love” - If there is perhaps a weak link on this album, I think it would be this one, although that isn’t to say I dislike it. I very much love the verses, and the choruses aren’t bad either - it’s together that I don’t particularly love them. I think the transition is a little awkward and doesn’t quite achieve what it sets out to do. That being said… for lyrics as strong and sappy as these, I will sit through anything - and the guitar is so sharp and moving that it’s always a must-listen.

“Begin the Beguine” - Howdy again, Cole. I have not heard the original version of this song, so this review banks on the assumption that its style was at all different from what we see here, but I think the arrangement of this song is so lovely. And the way Michael’s voice can be so strong yet betray a sense of tiredness, of longing and weakness, is amazing.

“I Am Not That” - This song reminds me of John Lennon’s “God,” during which he denounces all but his own love. Here, Michael sets the record straight, finding it easier to tell us what he is by telling us what he is not. And in his traditional fashion, it is sung in such an upbeat, tongue-in-cheek way that you can’t tell exactly whether or not he’s joking. If he even is “he”!

“...For the Island” - A continuation of “One…”, “...For the Island” finally gives us some more lyrics, simple as they are. Backing vocals are used skillfully to blend into the existing melody, and although it doesn’t stand out as a song on its own, it is a nice bit of filler, which yes - is sometimes very much appreciated, and even necessary, on an already great album.

“Twilight on the Trail” - Absolutely a perfect closer for this album - in case you’ve forgotten who we’re dealing with, amongst all the genre experimentation we’ve experienced and will continue to see in the future, this is still Michael Nesmith, certified country boy. If you can’t picture yourself riding off into the sunset to this one, you’ve probably forgotten to press play. At the conclusion of the album, Red’s pedal steel features as heavily as it ought to, followed by more guitar, and some tasteful clip-clopping percussion. Really, you couldn’t ask for more.

Conclusion: Jane Austen’s Emma said “if I loved you less, I might be able to talk about it more,” and such is how I feel about Tropical Campfires - and why this review has taken me longer than any of the others (besides my being lazy, etc). When I first listened to it, I was offended by its originality, its audacity to be something fresh and genuine. Now I see that I was only blinded by what I did not understand (now that’s a bit more Mr. Darcy of me - not to mix book references), and so I feel that it is exceptionally hard to critique in a meaningful way. While this album is not technically perfect, it deserves to be noticed and lauded in the same way that we do retrospectively for the First National Band trilogy, if not more. And it’s just so beautiful and comforting! Literally go listen - and then spread the good word!

FFXIV RP Event Calendar Downtime and Recovery

Afternoon, the calendar bot experienced some unexpected downtime this afternoon. Unfortunately this was due to a database error that had gone uncaught for about a month, involving channel settings. This required restoring the channel info from backup. Unfortunately the error persisted in the last two backup sets, so changes made to channel configuration in the last month or so may be suspect, and need to be redone. My apologies for the inconvenience, and I've put some better validation testing to prevent this from happening in the future. Erestor paused, letting those words sink in. Never once had anyone said words so kind nor generous. It always felt as if he was either invisible, and no one cared, or a curiosity and everyone cared. It was a breath of fresh air to hear those words strung together, and he found his quick wit was without the vocabulary to reply. So he nodded slowly, accepting of Elronds gracious feelings on the matter, and muttered a simple " I am as well. " which did not feel adequate, but it was all he could muster.

So instead of words, he listened, for that was what a friend would do was it not? Not that they were friends. Not yet. An acquaintance, certainly, with the hope of a friendship that at least was built upon mutual understanding. But time had ever been his enemy, and those he had trusted often did not last long. So he was cautious, though his little heart so sharp in all its ways, hoped he could one day call Elrond 'friend'.

He did not envy Gil-Galad his position. Poor ellon. He admired him, but he did not in any way wish to be him.

And as a 'friend', he found his brows shooting up in surprise at Elronds sudden leaving off of taking his resignation, and coming up with an idea he could have come up with himself. Clever, vengeful even ( which was surprising, for though clearly Elrond was a more obviously passionate creature than he, there was an angelic look about him that clearly was cloaking a much more devious mind ), Erestor pulled his hand and the paper back, pale gaze evident in how his wheels began to turn.

He stood, and moved from his desk to a stack of papers upon a cabinet, letting out a triumphant 'Aha!' when he found what he was searching for. "A seating arrangement for the next dinner that shall include our most gracious ambassador." he said with a smirk, leaning over Elrond to show him the paper. "Now, currently he is seated here, beside the rest of his delegation. However, perhaps it could be arranged that . . . due to a clerical error, or perhaps a mix up, he can instead be seated here, beside you and the High King---wait, I have an idea."

Moving back to his desk, he arranged some unimportant papers beneath the sheet and 'accidentally' knocked the bottle of ink upon them. "Oh how clumsy of me. Well, we'll have get that fixed. Pity I have the only copy. I'll have to have it redone. Stupid me, a thousand apologies, Herald Elrond. I hope I did not splatter you."

"Oh please." Elrond's voice was softer now, clearly fond in scolding. It made sense what Erestor said. It may not be easy to approach the King's herald without formal reason if one was not of equal station or above, but still..Surely Elrond was far from intimidating? Then again, everyone feared rejection and for a peredhel to reject another must be unbearable. "I care not for who you know or which family claims you. The circumstances are not the best, but I am glad that it lead to us getting acquainted."

Unfortunately, Erestor was correct in his assessment. Elrond bursting into Gil-galad's throne room to declare Lord Laegir a treasonous, hateful heap of dung would only fall back on Erestor. It was unfair, but such was the way of their society. It was easier to punish the innocent, rather than the guilty, if the consequences arising from it proved to be too detrimental.

Elrond deflated, displeasure obvious on fair features. "I could not even blame our High King for doing what may not be morally just. It befalls to him to protect our peace, especially now that is appears to be most fragile. Adding a scandal would serve neither us, nor the realm. He is right to act in favour of the masses instead of the honour of one individual."

Feeling like Erestor would surely hold his confession close to his heart, Elrond was candid with him. "I do not envy our High King. The crown is too heavy a burden for any head. He deserves our full support and he has my admiration. As have you. You are intelligent and brave, and this is why I am certain there has to be another way to solve this." Elrond had sunk his teeth into this matter and would not let it go until it was resolved in the best possible way.

For a moment Elrond pondered over their possible options, reaching for the resignation Erestor offered, but then halting his hand mid-air. "Hold on. It is just like you said. What if all we have to do is to let the lord reveal his shortcomings by himself? He is full of himself and far too arrogant to heed any caution. If he were to perform the slip of a tongue in the presence of the High King, it would become an open affront and not even King Oropher could find anything wrong in Lindon's retaliation. Measured, of course."

Elrond's starlit eyes practically sparkled at the promise of revenge, especially one that would spare Erestor the affront of being wrongfully punished and Gil-galad the uncomfortable task of doing so. "I can be very enraging if I wish to be and goad him into being most unwise."

“See thou in the dungeon, worms!“

Rouxls Kaard is finished, and if I do say so myself he’s looking pretty good🧵

He is made out of fleece and minky and stands at 14 inches, and the coat is made of cotton and various other materials. He is entirely hand sewn, from his embroidered face (my first time doing embroidery, please clap) to his hair to his coat, with wires in the arms that make him somewhat able to pose (he cannot do the shop pose, I have tried, but he can hold his cutlass just fine)! The buttons on his coat are roses, because I could not find diamonds.

He is the result of two patterns merged into one, with the body and head coming from separate patterns as a bit of an experiment, but man, these results! The hair and coat were entirely pattered from scratch by me.

I have a pirate hat coming for him in the mail and intend to take more shots once it arrives, but hoo, after a week of virtually non-stop sewing, I am exhausted. Like the real Rouxls Kaard in game he was decidedly difficult in spots- body parts had to be redone constantly (mostly due to my own errors), and his coat took nearly a whole day (over the course of two days) to finish on its own due to having to spend a while fiddling with his measurements and deciding where to add what details, all of which were approximately on the fly (though it worked out well for the both of us).

Honestly he is my best plush so far, and the most elaborate craft project i’ve ever made. I am so, so proud of this little man and I hope his existence brings folks as much joy as it does me, because I love him very much.

Game-Wise:

Blood-covered is probably the best game of the trilogy, partially due to the fact that it already had a foundation for it to be built off of which lessened the margin of errors. Though with it being redone multiple times for different consoles and additional content added, the devs really should've taken the chance they'd given themselves to add in hints for the plot of Blood Drive - so it wouldn't seem so completely out of nowhere.

The time loop idea that was introduced in one of the wrong endings of the first game and later expanded on in Book of Shadows and Blood Drive was a GREAT concept, just (like the rest of Corpse Party) really poorly executed. There was absolutely a missed opportunity on the devs part in using the time loop plot point to rearrange the pairings in the closed spaces and further delve into the different friendships that make up the main Kisaragi cast.

Blood Drive is an absolute mess of a game, but an enjoyable mess. There was some plot points that I found interesting - like the introduction of rival underground paranormal organizations interested in the students due to their association with Heavenly Host. There was other plot points I firmly hated because of how little they made sense and how badly they clashed with the setting of the story (European witchcraft? The Witch Trials????).

Character-Wise:

I don't dislike Yuka as a character, but she does make me horribly uncomfortable because I know exactly what intentions she was created with. She's basically a conduit for Kedouin and the other dev's weird fetishes. Ideally, if I got my way and could give Corpse Party a massive overhaul and rewrite it - rather than an extremely immature 14 year old with a crush on her brother, she'd be an 8 year old little girl whose a little mature for her age and looks up to her older brother.

Additionally, the time loop concept could've made such a fascinating piece of character background to Satoshi if they'd stuck with the idea of him being able to remember past loops. It'd be a great explanation as to why his reaction to Heavenly Host is relatively tame compared to the other students in the first game or why it's much easier for him to accept the death of their friends. He's already had time to get used to it.

Unlike Yuka, Kuon Niwa is a character that makes me so massively uncomfortable that I absolutely hate her for it. The devs definitely wrote her with intentions for her to be Yui's narrative foil, only with enough differences that Kuon's still her own person. I don't hate her for that, in fact I think I would've loved her had it not been for them making her a massive creep. She's a 27 year old woman in love with her 17 year old student, whose parents she basically bribes into giving her 24/7 unrestricted access to their home (and son). It's made even worse with how uncomfortable she makes Satoshi. Ugh.

As much as people can tell me otherwise, Yoshiki saving Ayumi at the end of Blood Drive was ultimately a selfish act that made her sacrifice meaningless and disrespected her final wish - and it was something completely in character for him. I don't say that to be mean or because I hate him, he's actually one of my favorites! But like any good character, he has his faults, and one of them is that he's kind of selfish in that he'll always put Ayumi above everything else - even her own wishes. I'm not going to delve into all of that here, but I'm super interested in seeing the consequences of his actions in how it may have royally fucked up his relationship with both Ayumi and Satoshi.

Ramble about PBFP

So my Pokemon Bracket Fusion Project is nearing the end of the first generation of fusions! That will officially mark the halfway point for this project, as each next generation of fusions will shrink by half as they get combined. I’m super excited and looking forward to it!

Since it’s a pretty big moment I’ve been mulling things over and wanted to ramble a bit. I’ve put in a table of contents not because I expect my rambles to be too long (edit: oops?), but if you aren’t too interested in reading all the ramblings you can just look at what interests you.

1. Alola Dex data mistakes strike again (third or fourth time now??)

So people who have been following this project from when Alola dropped might remember I had to reassign a few fusions to add the Alolan PokeDex. This was near the start of the project, so only about 10 fusions needed to be redone. But rushing to get that data in as it was being dropped proved... problematic. I mean, who could have predicted Pokemon would add evolving Legendaries!?

So part of that was me adding color data. I used whatever artwork was available at release rather than the Dream World artset I used for the rest of the project. Recently (last week or so) I rediscovered this decision and corrected all the colors, thinking it wouldn’t cause any problems.

I was wrong.

A Pokemon may have been previously entered as off-white [RGB(250,253,252)] but was corrected to pure white [RGB(255,255,255)]. A few small changes like this over ~127 Pokemon broke about 25-30% of the existing fusions. I decided I’d like to finish this project sometime before I die so I opted not to throw out a fourth of my progress and just keep moving forward.

I’m also not going to correct the stats like Score or Best Match to account for this change either, I’m just going to leave the pairings are they were last generated (else things might look a bit off).

2. What I would have changed about this project in hindsight

Stopped at Kalos, no Alola. All the data errors I’ve endured from that rush job O_O

But more, as I’ve been doing thing project for a few years now (May 2016 wow) I’ve had time to think of things I might do different if I could hop in a time machine and warn myself what journey I was about to embark on:

Individuals rather than families While I like the crazy results of fusing families, doing a bracket of individual Pokemon vs a whole family would allow me to include more data for the formula and presentation (base stats, movesets, etc) and remove wonky data due to evolution:

Color data, think of a family like Eevee, where each individual is a wildly different color. Their “average” color is a weird light brown, but that causes Espeon’s purple, Vaporeon/Glaceon’s blue, and Umbreon’s black to be “ignored”.

Same with body shape data: Cosmog’s line in my formula has 0.5 wings...because only Lunala has wings (average of 0,0,0, and 2).

Forms/stages not getting the spotlight: Sandshrew (2 stages + 2 forms each) was fused with Trapinch (3 stages). Mathmatically, this worked out to be a 2 stage line where the final stage has 2 forms. That made the resulting fusions:

Trapinch + Kantonian Sandshrew + Alolan Sandshrew

Vibrava + Flygon + Kantonian Sandslash

Vibrava + Flygon + Alolan Sandslash

This is an extreme example, but individual fusions would have let each of these evolutions/forms shine in it’s own fusion and not have to also deal with another member from it’s own line.

Region by Region instead of “all” Pokemon

Yeah, big oops here. TPC makes new Pokemon regions faster than I can complete this project, so I had to stop adding new Pokemon. If I had instead done this by region, I could have continued this project into new regions seamlessly.

It would also have the cool end result of comparing what each region’s final fusion looks like! Especially with how Pokemon has changed their design formula over the years, it would be neat to see how these regional final fusions differ.

3. Other fusion challenge ideas (please steal)

So when I eventually complete this project I’ll have drawn 420 (yes, lol) Pokemon fusion families. The final individual fusion count is unknown until the end, but it will likely be over 1000 fusions. I’ll likely not want to draw another Pokemon fusion for a long time, lol, but I’ve come up with some other fun fusion challenge ideas. If any strike your fancy (not even necessarily as a full project, but just to try for a handful of Pokemon) please go ahead and share!

As mentioned above:

Fuse individuals based on similarity rather than whole families. It would let individual Pokemon’s attributes shine through better

Fuse each region’s Pokemon and see the results. Easy to extend for new regions added and lets you see a comparison of different regions at the end.

More ideas:

Base the brackets on dex number, not similarity. Easy to extend for new regions (just add the new Pokemon at the end of your bracket).

Choose subsets based on other criteria. Region was one idea, but what the ultimate Fire Pokemon fusion? Legendary fusion? Eeveelution fusion??

Always fuse the best match. Instead of choosing all pairings at once, see who’s the most similar (ex. Plusle and Minun), fuse those two. Throw that fusion back into the pool. See who’s the next best fusion. The next best fusion could be something like Pikachu+Minusle. This would more match up with my Tree of Life/Evolutionary Tree inspiration for this project.

But yeah, feel free to steal those ideas and share with me if you end up doing any!

The Major Writing Flaw of the The Search

In my 3-part article on how to develop the central conflict of a hypothetical Season 4 of Avatar (available here), I described how the Fire Nation comics provide a cursory example of a logical continuation of Avatar. Unfortunately, the comics are marred by numerous writing flaws, one such flaw involving emotional continuity (as discussed here).

While much has been written by the fandom on the perceived “good and bad” of the comics, most of it has concerned the comics’ “ideas”: the plot, conflicts, character arcs, worldbuilding etc. In this article, I want to focus on the writing flaws, and one such flaw in particular.

“Writing” in regards to the quality of a fictional work can have a broad meaning. It can mean the quality of syntax and prose, the flow of the dialogue, the consistency and logic of the characters’ actions, and so on. Essentially, if a story has “good writing” that means there aren’t any hitches or bumps that toss you out of your seat as you read it; it remains consistent, enjoyable and logical, versus erratic, irritating and confusing.

The Search has a particularly major writing flaw that spans all three volumes. It concerns the consistency and logic of the characters’ responses to certain events and information. Keep in mind that a character not only has to sound like themselves, but their actions and feelings have to be consistent as well. This specific flaw concerns the Gaang’s reaction to repeated references to “she” and “her” by Azula during their search for their mother.

To recount, the Gaang, Zuko and Azula go on a search for the fire siblings’ long lost mother. Azula has been in an insane asylum for the past 15 months and appears to remain mentally unstable. Not only this, but due to her additional status as an adversary of the heroes, the heroes have every reason to be cautious around her and suspicious of her motivations, and they are. They all agree to watch Azula constantly, to never trust her and even doubt Zuko’s decision to have her come with them “unbound”. This is a logical, consistent response from the heroes. Unfortunately, what followed that was not logical or consistent.

Multiple times, Azula shouts paranoid and aggressive references to a “she” and a “her” that go unacknowledged. The fact that they were all looking for a woman should have been enough of a clue as to who Azula was referring to, and her aggressive, paranoid feelings to indicate what her intentions were: to cause harm to this “she” or “her”. In multiple instances of consistent dialogue and behavior from Azula, the heroes respond inconsistently to that dialogue and behavior. The following table illustrates this in detail:

Twenty times the heroes have “she” or “her” or even “mother” shouted at them by a violent and unstable Azula and twenty times they fail to ask the most obvious question: “Who is she??” Twenty times the heroes have the chance to nip the situation in the bud before it deteriorates into “taking her [Azula] down” or chasing Azula through the forest as she races off to kill her mother. Keep in mind that Zuko expressed sympathy and attentiveness toward Azula in the beginning of The Search; him having no interest in what Azula is talking about is not consistent, neither is it logical: he is smarter than this and is not deaf. Neither are the other heroes.

There is no justification for this repeated writing error, especially as it concerns The Search’s most pressing plot point: Azula wanting to kill her mother. While there is no justification, the reasons why this was done are myriad: not allowing the characters to drive the plot, having a predetermined outcome that the characters must be forced to conform to (square peg in a round hole), realizing that if the heroes ascertain Azula’s motivations too early then the predetermined outcome is moot and must be redone, and so on.

When storytellers talk about “character-driven plots”, they mean to avoid examples such as this with The Search, where the heroes were forced to act stupidly in order to force the story to a specific planned ending (as an aside, campy horror stories tend to do this). It isn’t that having a planned ending is itself bad, in fact, it is often necessary and good. It’s that the journey the characters take to that ending must be consistent with who they are and what they’re capable of.

Having Azula repeatedly shout her violent feelings for “her” and “she” and not be the subject of scrutiny or investigation is not consistent with the heroes of Avatar. The ending of The Search certainly could have been arrived at logically, but this repeated storytelling failure prevented that. What you ended up with is a stark example of the perils of plot-driven characters.

There has got to be some angry frustrated emotions regarding PA, Harry having been caught up in this mess and how things have dragged on and out! All the hacking, invasion of privacy and just generally very poor choices in life by family members.

HMTQ gave President Trump and his huge family a real Royal welcome literally! The time spent the Formal dinner, the dinner apt the U.S. Embassy that PC and Camilla attended. It sounds like she got on well with DT, We know he takes such pride and joy in his Scottish heritage from his mum. We also know that he has great respect for HMTQ, so much so he brought his entire family with him. We also know he brought some intel/evidence with him. Thank you sir! HMTQ enjoyed him and the time they spent together!

Vlad is not the vampire, it’s Vladimir Putin. I am a bit confused by this because it seems a word is missing, like l am frightening, or l like frightening, hmmm. I think l will go with, he concerns her greatly.

As a reassuring loving granny, she took his hand in hers and spoke with him. No one is perfect, yeah he screwed up a few times in life, who hasn’t? He was ensnared in a plot that had done years of planning, reconnaissance, and he had absolutely no idea what he was in, until it was too late. Kind of like quicksand, you slowly get sucked in, and the more you move and wrestle trying to get yourself out the quicker you sink and drown. God bless you, your Majesty!

This whole issue of BOJO manipulating HMTQ, now today’s paper saying he didn’t really apologize he just said regret. He is willing to squat in No. 10 if there is a non-confidence vote and he is ousted as Prime Minister. He said they will have to take him in handcuffs! They are trying to sort out who would be the new PM, Brexit deadline, and if an election it would need at least five weeks. So John Bercow, Speaker of the House of Commons could be interim PM. It’s all up in the air. The Queens speech to the House is to take place October 14,2019. This is her telling LG in no uncertain terms she is duty bound to do this and refuse to be dragged any further into swaying politics on either side. Her job in weekly meetings with PM , is to be informed what’s happening, offer advice but never ever tell what’s to be done!No one else will be giving her speech except her. In a previous riddle we had something about someone else delivering her speech due to health or stress issues, l can’t recall exactly.

Well MM ANON , This riddle looks short but very unsweeten, the usual saying is short and sweet!

We had Calipornia in a riddle the other day. Today it’s Cala pornia .It seems that alleged tape has risen like a Phoenix from the ashes, online, but lots of disagreement on who the female is. I have ABSOLUTELY NO INTENTION of exposing myself to that. Reminds me of my old Sunday school song, be careful little eyes what you see, ears what you hear, mouth what you say..does anyone else remember that song? Dreem -in, a play on the song California Dreaming by The Mamas and The Papas, it was redone by Wilson Phillips, daughter of Michelle Phillips, Carnie Wilson daughter of Brian Wilson, l cannot recall the third member. They were great, remember Hold On! Great music. Anyhow, l digressed, Dreem,from wiki , is a sleep device that monitors, analyzes, and claims to enhance quality of sleep. It’s a miniaturized and autonomous headband that monitors the quality of sleep and then uses sound to help fall asleep faster, get deeper sleep, and wake up at the optimal time through smart alarm. End wiki.

So we have Calapornia Dreem-in, note California is spelt Cala, either way, the sirens currently flashing loudly is this alleged sex tape online. As l speculated the meaning the other day, is she doing a runner to Cali or Cala?? There are definite spelling alterations to confuse, MM ANON🤨🧐🤔.

Is someone having great difficulty sleeping from hobbies, stress, being picked on by the big bad royal reporters? Might the sleep aid device Dreem being in use, hence the addition of in after the hyphen? To clarify a hyphen is the sign here. - It is used to connect words together so they combine their meanings.

Alternatively perhaps Harry is using this sleep aid to help him sleep. We know all the things we have noticed, weight loss, scruffy clothes/shoes, look very sleep deprived, l am sure he is suffering tremendously as he serves this tour of duty for HMTQ.

MM ANON is taking us back to Shakespeare, Hamlet’s soliloquy on suicide to deal with all that has happened in his life. Has there been suicidal ideation on part of madam or Harry? Madam l highly doubt, a narcissist never goes there except by accident. We have see a slow descent in our Harry over the last two years, Wright loss, hair loss, scruffy clothes, looks sleep deprived etc etc, adding to that, the pain he appeared to be in, stepping onto that stage in SA and her grinning like a Cheshire Cat, sorry Cheshire, at his agony. I have said numerous times now but l hope upon immediate return to London he was given medical assessment and care, as well as emotional assessment and care. I pray to God l am wrong on this, but l have been concerned. He has been under stress like l have never seen, for over two years!

A boob, slang wise has had different meanings over the generations. A boob can be a dopey goofy person, it can be a blunder or a boo boo, meaning error or mistake, it can be a term for breast. So who made a bit of a boob? I see the usage here being an error or mistake. I would say the first boob was a bootycall and then underestimating who the attacker was.

I think this could also be a cheeky reference to an alleged video online.

The saying the Real McCoy, goes back, at least for me, in the old western movies, not sure if McCoy was a brand of saddle, shotgun, something anyhow. So when someone says, it’s the real McCoy it means it’s 100% real or accurate. Here MM ANON has hyphenated the word McCoy, and elevated the word COY. Coys definition is, according to google, especially with reference to a woman) making a pretense of shyness or modesty that is intended to be alluring. Ok, interpretation, MM ANON is clearly telling us that any alleged sex/porn video is 109% accurate, correct and the actress in it, is her acting role, is acting very coyly. Yuck, l need a shower!🤮🤮🤮🤮

To take artistic license is a common phrase meaning , again l will use google, as l want everyone to be able to understand who may not be familiar, “Artistic license (also known as poetic license, historical license, dramatic license, narrative license, or creative license) refers to deviation from fact or form for artistic purposes. It can include alteration of the conventions of grammar or language, or the rewording of pre-existing text.”

I have had a number of comments of appreciation from anons for being more elaborative as we have readers from all around the 🌎 🌍 world.

So example, a movie about Invention of the light bulb, let’s say, they add a romance to it, or drama , l hope l am explaining this clearly.

So here MM ANON says Artistic lie-sense, another hyphenated word. So madam as we well know has exaggerated EVERYTHING about herself, some may say lies. Her age, her number of marriages, not knowing anything about the BRF, fake pregnancy etc etc etc.

So , since this alleged sex video is the hot topic, l am thinking the acting would be very fake over dramatic moaning groaning etc etc, likely a person would, to cover past sins, would be inclined to lie about it, say it never happened or the great song by Shaggy, It Wasn’t Me!

Again another commonly used phrase especially, like me, l am so self-critical about how I type my interpretations of the riddles, typing, thinking of something after l have submitted it, or just having a bad day at it , l think l might have even wrote this here, this is not my best work.

Artists, musicians, creative people, common phrase!

So if there were an alleged tape, that proved real, one might use that phrase. A tv show might have been the pinnacle or the height of greatest work!

Time to move on and restart life. Put this information out, let the chips fall where they may. I am certain, based on the FIRST riddle today, that Harry is done, he can take no more. Oh my , how will this be handled, l for one would NOT want to , after several years of being a horrible person, want to be on the receiving end of Fleet streets vengeance! How will details , hundreds of them be told or explained to the public, all the things that have been kept secret, the public will perceive being lied to and paying for that wedding, her clothes etc etc etc. Never mind that, the bigger picture of the plot, the backers!

Fab Four, the original was the Beatles. When madam came on the scene, and video of them, working on a Heads Together, the media, not sure which, dubbed them the Fab Four. As we know their offices have separated as well as their charities also.Rumours of dodgy money being missing from the charity. They are completely separate in every way now, at least publicly, this has caused an uproar because of madam spending and the varied rumours surrounding merching, and hobbies, and other things that have been on fire today! So much beloved was Harry , everyone wanted him to have the dream of family come true. His madam is loathed, that’s putting it mildly. There is so much public distress at seeing the boys, l will forever call them the boys, break up, fight and publicly sever ties.

Have unexpected security issues arisen on the upcoming tour to Pakistan of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge scheduled for October 14-18/2019?

We know security is a major issue, as in the memo it stated this is their most complex Royal tour to date. I will keep them in prayer. This tour is essential in continuing relationships building.

Remember Fleet Street, how l explained that in a riddle the other day. MM ANON, l take this as the sh** is going to hit the fan imminently, l have felt an agitation inside for several days. Will they lay bare, pun intended, EVERYTHING they have in the dossier. OH PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PULL THE HANDLE LET IT ALL SPILL OUT!! It’s time! Harry is at the end of what he can take! SO ARE WE! How this will all be done and handled l have no clue but it’s going to be earth shattering across the U.K., the Commonwealth, the EU, whilstBrexit is so precarious, and the world too. I cannot fathom how HMTQ is feeling and how and when to proceed!

So who is not to take this personally? This clue mystifies me. My head is so full, is this relating to BOJO non-apology, in that he regrets what happened with Parliament? That HMTQ being tricked, she shouldn’t take that personally because he was trying to get his own agenda through, the Courts over-ruled him. Of course she is going to take this personally! She needs to be able to trust the PM! BOJO , according to the paper, if there is a noncon vote and he is ousted as PM, he will refuse to leave No. 10 unless in handcuffs. So, yes, BOJO HMTQ is taking it bloody personally!

Two choices, go quietly or a fight will ensue. l remember professionally saying this many times. Cooperate or things will be enforced. In this case confess, plead guilty or not guilty. Is arrest imminent, are these two choices?? Oh please , make it so, to quote Captain Jean-Luc Picard! Are the choices, leave the U.K. of face charges. I can’t see that totally but then again a lot of money laundering trials have brought down mob bosses.That song should l stay or should l go now? Is blaring through my head!!

Whose got their head in the sand on this? This is definitely PP, might he be taking a stern tone with HMTQ? Action needs to be taken imminently, the press are on the precipice of unloading a ton of very very bad things. It would be easier, although none of this will be easier, but it would be easier if HMTQ gave a public video, like Christmas Day, and as she did with Diana. If they can publicly get ahead of the media, might soften the blow. Perhaps announce a separation, then the press can go hog wild. Either way it’s going to be Annus Horibilus on steroids!!!

The love and loyalty towards Harry is doing exactly that, crumbling around him. -Critical fix for Elven Farm locking up the game. -You can now unlock the Arrogance Subjugated assignment by sending anyone with corruption to Treachery Most Foul rather than having to do it yourself. -To make oozes less samey they will not get an extra trait on average, and there's a new trait package with minimal traits to reflect oozes that break out of the usual mold. This will mean it is also a bit less likely for them to start with bimbo. -Before slavers would only try to start a forced encounter if they were unscrupulous (or a Wisp). I've changed it now so if they feel they have a case for revenge so badly failed hypnotic/dominator attempts, you being possessed, or them having less than 50 morale will override that. I've also made it so there's a bonus to the attempt at less than 50 morale and an increased one at under 20 morale. -Fix for the High Elf dominatrix getting their aspect for free. -Fix for being able to remove a second-in-command due to them being a leader who dislikes the role overriding checks for being a bimbo, thug, or whatever. -Fix for not having the option to make use of slaves made into slavers. -Fix for not getting slaves or slavers on critting Goblin Village if recruitment focus is set to beginners.

New assignments: ---When Week's End Comes. A new Uncommon City of Aversol assignment with a whole bunch of special text as it's affected by the weather and two of the events in Cold Front and Ragestorm. Has commissioned artwork also used for five 'semi-unique' slaves like the city elf bride and lago'mae priestess. Anyone from this one has their own special racial and with enough of them unlocks a new encampment upgrade. ---Basic and Advanced Titfuck Training. Both have commissioned artwork. There's now a chance boosted by this training for slaves to be titfucked when normally they'd have been fucked instead. New commissions: ---A Corner of your Very Own. Also used for Amazon Bimbos. ---Most Impropa. Also used for Orc Slaves. ---Cheap and Cheerful. Also used for Neko Bimbos. ---Raid Isolated Elven Farm with two versions with the entirely naked version used for a Crit or Success. As part of this redone the intro and added a chance of the crit to get a Shadow Outcast. Added some text to the Critical and Success when you got to reflect that. ---Pillow Talk with two versions. This was contributed by a patron so my current plan is to use them for now with the first one as the intro, and the cum version for a Crit or Success unless one of the current placeholders would work better, and then in future I plan to commission a more generic one while only using these ones if the player or slaver sent is Futanari. Because the former placeholder used to be also the Wood Elves examine I've replaced that with two new more fitting placeholders for males and females. ---Not a new one specifically. However I have used closer crops of the succubi from Truly Divine female slaves. One if the slave in question has a tail, and if not, the other will be used in general. Assignment trait adjustments: ---Fel Tainted is now a Failure on the Marauding version of Spectacle of the Sacred rather than being Catastrophic. Swapped the positions of Clumsy and Magic: Corruption. ---Fel Tainted is now a Failure on Mistress of Torments rather than being Catastrophic. Follower is now a Disaster, and removed Feminine as a trait checked on that one. ---Fel Tainted is now a Success on Seduction of the Light. Very Rare Race (160+ Value) is now Critical, and Depraved has been moved from Success to Disaster. ---Added Lengthy Tongue as a Success to all Lesbian and Blowjob training. ---Replaced Submissive as a Disaster on Basic Dominance Training with Unruly and Friendly. New racials and racial adjustments: ---Made the auto Fel Tainted that Succubus, Legion, Nethemir, and Fallen get into a properly listed Racial. Now will have a reduced effect if they don't also have Fel Tainted as a trait. ---New racial for High Elves which both reduces the power and penalty of them frequently having Fel Tainted at the cost of losing access to Shadowplay. If they get the corruption Forehead Branding will lose this racial and can take that aspect as normal. ---Oozes have gained an extra save to avoid wounding/removal. ---New racial for Wrights to reflect what bonuses they had already. Also gained an improved extra save to avoid wounding/removal and will now be immune to most corruption gained on assignments. ---Added mention to racials where races don't need supplies or have resistances to biomancy and/or corruption. -Legion have now lost their auto aspect after it was turned into a Racial a while back. -Redid the placeholder composition for Shadow Outcast slavers removing the inappropriate troll design. Also redid the placeholder for Wedding Crashers as on looking at it again it's a pretty rough composition. Now broke into two using the same pieces. Left one for starting the assignment and examine for former briders with smaller chests, and right won for Crit or Success and the examine for above massive titted and above enslaved brides. -Outside of expanding the encampment other upgrades may not be purchased in the Golem scenario. -Fallen and Succubi no longer always start with Fel Tainted automatically and so should come with 1-2 extra traits on average compared to before. -Blowjob training has an increasing chance to turn feeling up into a blowjob. -Made it so the assignment profane ritual special result and others like with an increased chance of better results reduces corruption resistance. -Bimbo Shadow Outcasts now use the Expert Cumslut commission. I've also polished up that composition. -Updated Kat's new lore page with two new quotes, one from a new character. -If you're a puppet-leader you're now immune to being overthrown as well that's pretty much happened already. -Added Dancer to the Disasters caused by Hard Carry and blocked Lurg specifically from trying out as a cheerleader. -Moved the faith skill checks out from being dominated. -New assignments: ---Wayward Temptations. A new uncommon Dreadsea Coast assignment with specifically commissioned art and a hidden reward. Also used for the recruitable slaver unique Kaara de Sindero Oscuro's examine which gives you a pretty big clue of what that hidden reward might involve. Crit and Success have different descriptions on the outcomes based on your slaver's traits and aspects to reflect how they might go about accomplishing it. Specifically there's ones for Anointed One, Submissive, Depraved, mental powers like Dominator, Mind Reader, Faith: Shallya, and Seductive in that order along with the more basic approach for none of the above. All with altered/expanded versions when you go personally. ---Quicker than they Like. A new rare assignment on the Great Plains, and a follow up with some impressive rewards to the first QAYL. Only available for player characters who have run that first assignment themselves and were fortunate to return relatively unscathed. As part of this there's now a bonus to QAYL for you based on how many times you've run it yourself up to a maximum of five times which will also increase the chances of having a forced encounter. ---Spectacle of the Sacred. A new rare assignment on the Dreadsa Coast using patron provided commissioned art. Available from the second month onwards. First time you go on it has unique rewards (including an encampment buff), and text with two alternate approaches. Can be repeated after that with the two goals but with somewhat different text and rewards. -Other new commissions: ---To Hunt a Paladin. First part for the assignment and then another part for the successes. ---Raid Human Village. Also used for Human Commoner male slaves. Now should always respect the gender to enslave general order with specific traits if you get a male on the Crit. ---Raid Goblin Village. Now moved to the Dreadsea Coast, and has expanded text to reflect that. Two day version is no more and has been replaced by a five day version with improved rewards to reflect the additional time taken. Has alternate versions of the commission including one only seen if you do send an ogre futanari and succeed there. Now should always respect the gender to enslave general order. ---The Encampment. Will be used on finish day to show up randomly along with the title page, the blank background, your character's examine, and the map. It also will be replaced if there's an assignment completing or a slave is being used. Crops of it are now used for the Male Wright and Female Neko slaver examine (the old Female Neko slaver examine is used for now as the Futanari one with the old Futanari one being removed). ---The Encampment for the Golem Scenario. Crops with variants of it are now used for Kreen and Cathayan slave examines. Due to this I've added a new placeholder for Female Cathayan slavers. ---Female/Futa Human Cityborn Slaver Examine, Female/Futa Marlsune Slaver, and Female/Futa Marlsune Slave Examines depending on the version used. There's also another version to be used in a later update when a certain advanced race is added.   -Forced Encounter expansion: ---Failing to implant a trigger can now result in the target slaver returning the favour if they are Hypnotic/Dominator/Psionic and will be more likely to attempt to start a forced encounter. It's also a bit more risky to fail to use a trigger or dominate during a respect check against a Hypnotic/Dominator/Psionic slaver. ---New text with variations for forced encounters due to being subjected to Malevolence and being Possessed. ---New variations based on whether they've done it before, and new variations with improvements for being subjected to Hypnotic and Dominator. ---Possible now to gain the Puppet Leader status with enough repeated visits and if the right requirements are met. -New racials: ---Kestrae Harpies now better reflect their forest flying abilities. ---Demi-Angels boost healing both in encampment and on assignment by being present. ---Neko may ignore the first Disaster gained on Infiltration assignments. ---Kitsune now do better on Diplomacy against the easily fooled, but less so against the more cultured. ---Humans help other races work better together. ---Fallen having gotten so corrupted to fall from being demi-angels now get even more corrupted. -Two new unique starts: ---A seductive Sea Elf male using the Chained Melody commissioned art with a new aspect and lore page. ---A big Forest Goblin male using commissioned generously provided by a patron with a new aspect and lore page. -Updated the Art Sources to include all current commissions including for some future assignments. -Overhauled the text on Hard Reality. Also fixed the issue where she was not coming with Magic: Illusion. -You can now get level ups from the encampment even when you're at the max aspect slots meaning you can get a chance at getting free aspects like Dark Pact and Practitioner to Arch-Practitioner. -Jacked up the odds on the scouting upgrades for the mid level and most expensive ones. -The recruitable form of Kat is now inexperienced, has picked up a new outfit, seductive and a more specific lore page, along with pumping up her ass to the next level. -Biomancy flexibility may now be done if the target is agile but hasn't got the exceptional result and is not an elf. Also corrected the breasts to show when they've hit maximum.   -Arisin' on the Storm will only be generated now from the second month onwards. -Convent slavers and slaves will now come wearing their habits like in the Heretic scenario. -Convent rather than having their own specific skin description now track what they were before joining the sisters. Using the skin description tables from their various possible origins and will have extra description noting what they were before. This will also come with some potential extra value bonuses. Witches already worked like this before with the various human subtypes, but now have a chance to also be elves and neko like Convent can with their own set of new specific descriptions. -Expanded the Convent lore pages a bit mainly to better flesh out some of the faith's hidden places of worship. -Small expansion to the City Elf lore page. -Added a check so that Shadriel has to be a slaver for the owned relationship when her former matriarch is promoted to happen. -Added a note to the start and to the Art Sources that all non-commissioned art is now considered placeholders with the intention to replace in time with commissions. As part of this replaced the petrified examine for the Artistry in Flesh assignment art. -Reduced the bonus gold and supplies from Marauding rank ups as at max rank they could be way, way too high. Bonus is increased now on Rare/Special assignments. -Reduced the rate that the recruited ooze caller calls oozes. -Reduced the expiry length of all versions of Saving Glory by 40 days, and increased all versions of Shark of the Cards Expiry lengths by 4 days and Board the Crossbones by 2 days. -Mad Schemes due to potential inconsistencies based on how that aspect is worked out will no longer show in suggestions. -Biomancy Flexibility will no longer show as completed if the slaver hasn't got Elven Flexibility and can be attempted if they already have Agile. -Forest Goblins have some skin colour variations rather than just the one. -Added some tall male descriptions where they have dancer, sneaky or agile which would make the 'built like an orc' mention inappropriate. -Fix for an issue with Reputations where on a positive result you could still go down in an illogical manner. -Fix for the check for hates it on guard assigning was using the camp bitch one instead. -Fix for Switch not generally doing what it should do when it comes to trait checks. -Fix for formatting on Ballet of Brutality, Queen's Gaze, Private Dancer, Rules of Nature, Scourge Artiste, The Seven Veils, Dawn's Radiance, and Shallya's Mercy. -Fix for the following having the wrong short abbreviation for their Trapper trait which was preventing them from getting the Booty Snatcher aspect: One of the Forest Goblin trait packages, The Ooze Caller start, and the unique from Deluge of Oozes. -Fix for Obedient slavers not getting the Sub crit version on Decadence Like No Other. -Fix for the description for Beautiful not being shown under Full Custom. -Fix for an issue with Brief Foray where there was only a minimal amount of gold rewarded. -Fix for getting the sub version of possession despite being dom/corrupt due to running out of trait slots. -Fix for the abbreviations of Greedy being incorrect which could result in drow ex-soldiers picking up double greedy from corruption. -Fix for an issue with high value/veteran rewards such as the Asanei leader from Best Left Sealed.
