Facts about the dark sides you probably already know:
-They each have an association with a certain animal
Virgil: cat (scaredy cat)
Janus: snake (liars are often referred to as snakes)
Remus: octopus (no clue)
-They each have an ability to make Thomas listen to them
Virgil: voice gets louder
Janus: can shut the other sides up
Remus: can muffle the other sides and be the only one Thomas can fully hear
-They all have makeup included in their looks
-They appear instead of rise up
-They all have seemingly ‘grown up’ together. Similarly as the light sides seem to have hung out with and known each other the most before the show began, it’s clear that Virgil, Janus, and Remus were all (once, in Virgil’s case) extremely close.
-They all wear black
Little side note/theory, Logan is the only light side to also wear black. Given that he has some connection to the unknown orange dark side, whether it be because he becomes him or the side splits off of him, it’s interesting to note this.
-Before DWIT, Virgil was unsettled and scared of Remus
-Janus and Virgil both share a job of self preservation, but Janus goes about it in a way Virgil is deeply against
-Remus is the only side in an official episode to have had a solo (his song was entirely sung by him)
-Remus canonically whispers ideas into Roman’ ear while he’s sleeping
-Unlike the other two, Remus has not undergone character development to better fit in with the group. Instead, Thomas and the sides have developed around him since you can’t reason with intrusive thoughts. All you can do is accept them and move forward.
-Janus and Virgil were the only sides in Selfishness vs. Selflessness to not swear to tell the truth.
-Remus is the only side to have revealed his name in the first episode he was in
-All of the dark sides have been bested by Logan
Virgil was beaten by him in their debate
Janus was shut down by Logan emphasizing the importance of knowledge and how it’s our greatest defense
All of the distress Remus was causing was explained away by Logan’s words and methods to help Thomas move forward

Orange Side Theory
So I’ve been trying to think about what this Side can represent that no other Side has quite embodied. I knew it couldn’t be Anger; a, that’s more of a feeling than a personality aspect, and b, we’ve seen plenty of other Sides get angry (i.e. Roman, Janus, obv Logan)!
Then I thought it could relate to Thomas’ feelings for Nico, since that arc and the Orange buildup arc have been quite intertwined thus far! So I tried to think of aspects that could relate to those things: Desire, Jealousy, Lust. But none of these quite fit either, since Roman has been a common source for such feelings for Thomas in the past! Someone on YouTube even suggested that this new Side might be Irrationality, but that is also a part of Roman’s package as the ego!
Then it hit me. Out of everything we seen from the Sides thus far, we never really seen a Side that blames others. Most of the Light Sides blame either Thomas himself for issues (Logan reprimanding him for not making a schedule, Patton and Virgil accusing him of wanting to do Remus’ ideas) or blame some other Side(s) (Roman is especially guilty of this habit). Even Janus and Remus, who act like they don’t care about other people, are sooner to point fingers at the other Sides for their repression than at external factors! The closest we get is Janus criticizing the concept of society, but he seemed more like he was attacking the system rather than the individuals participating in it!
The other closest to blaming others could be found in LOGAN of all people! In DWIT, while he concluded Virgil and Patton as the source of Thomas’ anguish, he also emphasized how Thomas’ childhood upbringing and religious education as the original reason why the split between the Creativitwins and the repression of Intrusive Thoughts happened in the first place! While this could arguably be critiquing a system rather than people, this felt more personal and specific compared to Janus’ “W E L I V E I N A S O C I E T Y” speech in SvS!
With all of this in mind, I wouldn’t be surprised if this Orange Side will embody this “blaming others” aspect Thomas has been missing. After all, no matter how kind we think we are or try to be, every human feels angry with others every now and then. And it doesn’t help that Orange surfaced from Logan when Thomas started looking upset that Nico hasn’t texted back!
So what would be the name of this Side, if this is the case? My best guess is it would be Resentment. Other possible names are Judgement, Blame, Wrath, Temper, Vengeance, or Bitterness. If anyone else can think of other words that would fit this Side, by all means share down below!
I’m not sure if I’m even close to deducing what this Side would represent, but I just wanted to throw my two cents in before who knows when the finale will drop! That, and I’m low key tired of seeing the Anger theory.
Edit: I’m not saying Sides can’t encompass feelings! I’m aware Virgil embodies fear, and Patton is the core of many feelings! I just mean the feeling isn’t standardly the concept TITLE given to a Side! The closest we get is Virgil being called Anxiety, and even that seems more like a state of mind than just feeling anxious. Same with my Resentment Theory. I didn’t mean to antagonize anyone, emphasis on the “low key” part of my dislike for the Anger Theory. It just feels too on the nose for me, that’s all. I’m sorry for offending people.

The "Each side has a different animal trait" theory is a Fandom classic, and I have my own theories about what the remaining threes are, but it's got me wondering what actually causes them to get said traits? The only side we've seen actively show said trait throughout the series is Janus, since half his face is literally snake scales, and the only side we've seen get said trait on screen is Patton when he snaps in POF and becomes LilyPadton, so it makes me curious. It's also confirmed that Remus's animal is a octopus even if we never see it in screen its in his symbol and in DWITs thumbnail and WTITs title card ,the Fandom pretty unanimously agrees that Virgils is a spider, with the webs around his room, having a spider pet, the weird hissing, and the stitching on his clothes.
My guess is that it shows up when they snap or breakdown, or adjacent. Mainly based off the fact that that's the exact situation Patton was under. That it's something buried within them and that it shows up the first time they truly snap. I also have a theory that Janus's snake scales are a massive tone down and that he's much more snake than he lets on. Like fangs, forked tongue, the whole shabang, he just doesn't show that because it'd be impractical.
Now my question is when did the dark sides all get theirs, running with the Virgils animal is a spider theory.
If I had to guess a time for Remus, I'd say probably right around when he and Roman spilt. If you think about it, it'd be rough to have been one person for a solid decade give or take and then to just become a singular person who's already shunned and hated even though when you were one person you were liked. Anyone would snap under those conditions.
As for Virgil, you could say anytime before AA and anyone would probably agree, but I think it'd be interesting if it was right before AA. He clearly felt alone and hated, he's split from the dark sides at this point, and he's just hiding out in his room thinking that everyone's better off if he's not around. Yet again, I think anyone could snap under those circumstances. We also see massive webs around his room during AAP2 which could be a product of said snapping and subsequent spider related freak out.
Idk just thinking bout the sasi animal traits theory again because I love it very much.

Hello and welcome to my little autism space (I have never used tumblr before this.) TODAYS TOPIC IS; If the Sides were as human lives, how old would they be realistically?
To put it simply, I’ll go in the order of oldest to youngest based off when Thomas was 33 since I refuse to do any math past then, you can add it all up. Virgil would be the same age as Thomas, 33; Anxiety does not form in a child until at least 6 months, and fear can show in a child from 0 - 2 years old, either way it’d only be a 6 month difference. This makes Virgil the eldest side out of everyone! HOWEVER!!! If we’re adding the Orange side into the mix (as Anger/Rage based off that theory) then technically, the Orange side would be the eldest, Anger shows in a child at only 4 months old.
Patton would be 2 - 5 years younger, we’ll go off the youngest of when their trait appears in a child; so, he’s 2 years younger, making him 31! So he’d be the second youngest, Morality appears in a child youngest of 2 years old — And Janus wouldn’t be much younger, just by one year; Deceit shows in a child youngest of 3, but lie most 4 - 6. Making Janus 30 years old!
Roman and Remus would realistically have to be the same age, Creativity shows in a child before the ages of 6, so I’d say king creativity would be 28 (5 years younger than Thomas), however; Intrusive thoughts don’t appear in a child until they’re 8 - 10 years old, so the split happened youngest of 8 years old however due to king creativity’s age, the twins would both stay the same, they just split when king/Thomas was 8! Roman and Remus are both 28 years old. (If that makes sense)
And finally, Logan would be the youngest (HURRAY) at a whopping 26 years old, Logic appears in a child youngest of 7 years old through 12, making Logan 7 years younger than Thomas! — and… if we’re adding Remy/Sleep as a side, he’d be the exact same age as Thomas because what baby doesn’t like to sleep?

Alright,
so there's been an Orange Side™ teased for a long time now in Sanders Sides, right? And the common theory is that Orange will be some form of Rage or Wrath, and will either take over or split from Logan, right? Well, I want to voice my opinion on this, because I believe it's extremely accurate, and could also provide an amazing character to the mix to oppose all of the sides (yes, INCLUDING LOGAN.)
So, first point:
This point is very minor, but Logan was the first side to have his name revealed. If Orange is the last side to be revealed, that would mean he'll also be the last one to have his name revealed, which is an interesting parallel.
Second point:
Logan rarely shows any emotions. Yes, he gets excited about Crofter's, he has some small amount of pride whenever he's right, and earlier in the series he feels small amounts of remorse whenever he does something that hurts one of the other sides. But, most of the time, Logan doesn't show any emotions (and in "Alone on VALENTINE'S DAY!" he even says "Call me when you have something a little less feelingsy"). He shows nothing, except for one emotion (which is fairly obvious given the intro to this post, but I'll still save it for later).
Third point:
Logan has had excellent character development since the beginning of the series. In the beginning, Logan only cared about the logical solutions for any of Thomas' problems. He would constantly fight one of the other sides about a problem until one of the remaining sides or even Thomas himself forced him to see what he was doing wrong and concede or compromise. But as the series kept going on, Logan started becoming not just more academically intelligent, but very importantly, more emotionally intelligent. He understands the other sides more, and he eventually comes to realize that every side has their merit, even Janus and Remus.
Fourth point:
Logan often gets ignored or dismissed by the other sides and Thomas himself. Yes, Thomas calls on him for help for several situations, and Logan often saves the day, but even so, he doesn't always get the full credit he deserves. The most notable examples of him being dismissed or ignored are in "Moving On," and "Working Through Intrusive Thoughts." In Moving On, Logan makes a mistake and suggests they go to Patton's room, but once he realizes what Patton's room is actually doing (especially to Virgil), he immediately tries to get Thomas and the other sides to leave. Thomas, Roman and Patton ignore him, and Logan gets frustrated enough to leave. In Working Through Intrusive Thoughts, Logan constantly tries to get Thomas to follow his schedule for the day, but Remus keeps breaking Thomas' focus on his chores. Then, once Thomas finally gets called by Nico, the final thread of Thomas' focus on his chores is broken and he instead decides to go meet Nico to look at art. Despite all of this, Logan still tries to listen to everybody, including Janus and Remus.
Fifth point:
There seems to be a pattern with the sides and whether they're associated with more positive or negative traits. Logan, Patton, and Roman are all positive. Janus and Remus are both negative. Virgil is both positive and negative. If Orange is Wrath or Rage, this creates symmetry on both sides, with Orange joining Janus and Remus as a negative trait. This is also supported in the Sanders Sides Anime Intro (which I'm sure everybody already noticed but it's still worth it to me to bring up).
Now, to bring it all together:
If Orange is indeed going to be Rage or Wrath, it absolutely makes sense for him to either take over or split from Logan, because the one emotion that Logan shows consistently and often is anger. His frustrations whenever he makes mistakes, or when he gets ignored or dismissed, and especially his "FALSEHOOD" are all examples of how he commonly has outbursts (or at the very least, visible) bouts of anger. Logan's eyes glowing orange when he yells at Remus in Working Through Intrusive Thoughts only add to this. If Orange is meant to be a reflection/the opposite of Logan, then he'll likely show emotions constantly, with the only thing that stays the same being the outbursts of anger, just severely intensified for Orange. This also opens the door for the character development that Logan has had being completely reversed (no matter whether Logan is taken over or if Orange just splits from him). All of a sudden, the rest of the sides have somebody that simply does not care about their opinions or feelings. Orange likely will ignore all of the rest of the sides, or even lash out at them constantly, never giving them the time of day. Orange will refuse to see the merit in any of the sides' functions, which is the exact opposite of Logan, who tries to see everybody's merit. The new biggest problem becomes avoiding Wrath, but to no avail, as he keeps coming back angrier every time, until eventually they all realize that, just like with Virgil, they need to try to understand him. The only problem with that is that it's harder to understand and accept Wrath than it was to understand Virgil.
No matter what, though:
I am SO hyped for these teasers to pay off, no matter what Orange ends up being. I have no doubts at all about Thomas' ability to create an amazing and compelling character for all of us to love just as much as the other six sides.

I’m so glad people are talking about the orange is Patton’s family theory I have believed in it for like a year
Propaganda time:
So let’s follow the logic of orange being rage or wrath or whatever word for anger, this is usually an extension of that theory. Patton is Thomas’ feelings. Anger is a feeling. So maybe there was a split. Some people think Patton is his dad other people think orange is his twin/younger brother.
Not only does this make sense but giving the man who tries to be a father figure for everyone family issues will do something to me, and depending on Patton’s role in orange’s situation this could lead to Patton being the cause of or the receiver of some crazy angst. Also also if they’re siblings parallels between them and the creativity twins? Trauma bonding or alternatively one of them tries to relate to one of the twins but they snap that they can’t relate because Orange and Patton represent different things while Roman and Remus are halves of the same things and therefore are constantly compared to eachother.
And a fun spoiler for the small amount of very cool people who like my side OC au:
A split between anger and the rest of the emotions happened with my sides! However instead of my orange splitting off of [redacted] the original side split into two the same way the creativity did, so basically they died. This death actually is a big plot point that affects the narrative even before the dark sides are introduced. Annnd TCM character’s are young teens at the start so [redacted]’s split would be wayyyy more recent for them than it would be for the canon cast, I’m sure everyone’s fine :)

Okay, so this has been in my head for a while now, but Virgil is Pattons kid.
Yes, I know, he's fight or flight, blah, blah, blah-
Hear me out.
Fear is an emotion and usually its in small controlled doses in minor situations.
Fight or flight is a latent primal response that humans only really experience in extremely stressful situations.
Typically, for the "average human", it wouldn't be necessary to have a trait dedicated to just fight or flight.
Unless you went through being the one of the "odd ones out".
Let's see, for Thomas that would be theater kid, gay, and nerdy. Which used to be a death sentence in school.
Now that I've a a premise, let me get to the good part.
Fear is an emotion. Patton obviously still experiences it as we've seen before with creepy crawly death dealers. However, other than that, he doesn't react in fear often. Even with Remus, Patton seems more uncomfortable than afraid, whereas Virgil is constantly on guard the entire time.
Thomas has mentioned before that Virgil came in around junior high and high school, which means that his fight or flight wasn't personified until he started figuring himself out.
Now this is an extremely scary time for any preteen and teenager, which brings up my concept. (Not really a theory cause i don't think that's how it worked out, but nevertheless)
I think that fear as an emotion may have gotten to strong for Patton during this time and as a result he had a split of his own. Like Roman and Remus. Except he didn't split completely in half, he just got rid of what was causing him issues as a way to repress.
Like creating a kid from one of his emotions.
It does sound kinda screwed up, but stick with me.
At first, that split was just a little extra fear that slowly became a problem over time, eventually evolving into who we know today as anxiety.
Obviously, something happened where Virgil went to the dark sides and everything happened, but it would either make Pattons father son insistence sweet or sad. Or both
The effort to include Virgil in their FamILY, the son themed nicknames, the forceful declaration that Virgil isn't a bad guy and he's just misunderstood. They all sound like a dad who screwed up and-
FUCK IM GOING TO CRY
ENJOY THE ACCIDENTAL ANGST

Okay, does anyone want to hear some Sander Sides theories I have?
If you do, press the read more button, if not keep scrolling on your feed!
So I think Patton split up the mindscape, but not with malicious intent.
I think, depending on how C!Thomas was raised, or even the adults in his life that weren't his parents, Patton thought that he had to be perfect and make the mindscape perfect in order to please everyone that he could. He did not mean to hurt the dark sides, I want to make this very clear, that I don't think that was his intent. But because of how people reacted to Thomas lying, to Thomas having anxiety, to Thomas's creativity not always being 'acceptable'(in their eyes), Patton started to see it that way too. But I don't think he ever wanted to hurt the others, just hide them from view so Thomas would be accepted by everyone else. And that warped his view on a lot of things, that he's slowly trying to relearn and change his views on. But because it had been established when Thomas was young that certain traits were 'bad' and 'evil' Roman, the princely side, ended up taking Patton's views too, which is why he has trouble with so many of them. When a trait is perceived as a villain, or bad, by Patton, Roman tends to trust that view, because of how Patton took over the mindscape when Thomas was just a kid. And now he needs to learn that, Patton's views are warped and he needs to come to his own conclusion about the different traits.
I say this because, Roman was the last to accept Virgil, and that had been because the others had accepted him, he based most of his thoughts on Janus off of Patton's(and Virgil's) reactions to the side.
I think the only dark side that he has his 'own'(I have more theories for this, based on what was prev said, but too tired to get into it rn) views on in a sense, is Remus. And most of those views are based off the fear that Remus could replace him at any moment, after all, Remus is creativity without boundaries.

ALRIGHT GANG I HAVE A THEORY
okay we talk about the split theory with king creativity, roman and remus, right? what if they aren't the only sides who split?
if we go with the headcanon that patton caused the split, what if patton - feeling guilt and regret for having to go to that dark place - ended up splitting himself into three parts? (basically some strange form of self-mutilation due to his frustration with himself)
the mysterious orange side represents the fight response, virgil represents the flight response, and patton himself represents the freeze response!

SANDER SIDES IS TAKING OVER MY BRAIN !
so basically, This Orange Side is so mysterious, and has been cultivating itself and existence for SO many years.
Thomas has stated that the orange side exists, and is related somehow.
based on how ts characters typically work, fans have speculated that the Orange side will be somehow related to Logan (Logic) or Patton (Emotion). Both implying the new side will be Anger, Rage, Irrationality, or Impulsivity. Some even mentioning the possibility of it representing a mental illness/disorder he has (other than anxiety lmao).
The most common hypothesis about what the Orange side represents is Anger or Irrationality. this being said, all sides are more than just 1 ‘thing’ you can’t fully describe the sides using just one word, just as we humans can’t be described in only 5 words, especially 1.
The most debated part about the Orange side is whether he will come from Logan or Patton, or rather be the opposite. Fans have mentioned (and i love this idea) that maybe the orange side is actively coming to existence now, like he is quite literally coming to life as we watch much like how remus and roman split in a way. Thomas did state in an interview that Logan and Orange are not ‘exactly brothers’, the odd wording here indicates that they are some how related but orange doesn’t/didn’t come to fruition the same way remus & roman did. Which leaves much to be desired regarding Patton, the Dark Sides, and really all of them.
I am not the biggest fan of the ‘mental illness’ theory as, ADHD being the biggest illness to potentionally be Orange, and ADHD is inherently to much for 1 side to in compass. ADHD involves to much of everything to be made into merely 1 side. much like how his Anxiety isn’t JUST caused by Virgil our anxious man himself. Yes, it’s mainly caused by him, but all the other sides play a part aswell. So personally if this would be real I feel it would mean Orange is Irrationality & Impulsivity, which leads ADHD to be what it is (kinda). But in full honesty, I am LOVING & THRIVING with the thought of Orange being Rage. (which is also something i feel due to my adhd lmao)
My personal favorite fan theories are the following:
1. Orange is the ‘Puppet Master’ of the sides
2. Orange is coming into existence as we watch, he is being created as thomas goes through life now.
3. Orange has been suppressed by the other sides and thomas for so long that they have all forgotten about him and only logan remembers (and maybe janus)
4. The power dynamic. IVE SAID IT B4 AND ILL SAY IT AGAIN: WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THE POWER DYNAMICS AND HOW THEY SHIFT WHEN IT COMES TO THE SIDES‼️‼️
5. the Orange side is just 5am thomas…

The Split
Morality couldn’t stand the thoughts spewing from the Kings mouth. Sometimes the Kings ideas were beautiful and enchanting and other times they were vulgar and gorey. It was the horrific thoughts that he couldn’t handle. Hurting butterflies and pushing other children off the swing set. That was wrong! And those kids had done nothing to Thomas. And if The King was talking about things that were wrong... wasn’t he himself wrong?
Self-Preservation enjoyed his time with The King, even laughing at some of the more taboo thoughts that spewed from his mouth sometime without thinking. They had there ups and downs, with both of there egos having plenty fuel. However they got along for the most part. The King was interesting... And the duality of The King made him so intriguingly Charming.
However, over time The King became difficult to manage. His ego swelled too high and he wouldn’t listen to anyone, sometimes resorting to violence to shut anyone up who dared to question him. He was becoming a detriment to Thomas. The young child spewing things from his mouth without thinking and thinking far too highly of himself.
Morality was appalled by how Thomas was acting, and knew he had to do something! He had been far too lenient, he would have to be stricter. For the greater good of Thomas
Self-preservation could see how this was effecting Thomas, how his once good friend had lost control of himself. How it was causing chaos in the mind palace. He knew that he had to do something to keep the peace. No matter the cost, He had to protect Thomas.
Morality and Self-preservation met in the common area. Self-preservation had been pacing a hole in the carpet, trying to figure out a way to manipulate The King into hacking down. Morality run into him on accident. He had been heading to Logics room to ask him for ideas. (Though he wouldn’t tell him what exactly for, to protect him.) When Self-preservation asked Morality directly what he was doing Morality couldn’t lie to him, and he told him what he was doing. Self-preservation told him that he had been having similar thoughts. And the two hatched a plan.
They would take the good part of King and separate the bad. Though, neither could decide which was truly bad. Morality disliked the unfiltered part of the King, while Self-preservation hated the egotistical, selfish part of the King.
Self-preservation was at his wits end. And so was Morality. They couldn’t decide what part of the King to be rid of, but they couldn’t destroy all of him! In the middle of there argument the King came back from the imagination and demanded to know what was going on. Self-preservation kept his mouth shut, while Morality fought to explain. The King was enraged, and drew his sword at Morality.
Though before he could harm the moral side, Self-preservation struck at him, telling him off for all the things he’d done. The King seeing this as a sign of betrayal cursed his old friend for if he wished to slither around his emotions and lie through his teeth, Than he could do so permanently, as a snake! Self-preservation almost had no time to dodge the magic and he wasn’t able to dodge it completely. It hit one side of his body, making the skin fester and boil until scales took its place.
Morality, seeing this as his opportunity started the process of removing the “evil” part of the King. Self-preservation though blind in one eye and in searing pain was not going to let the “detrimental“ part of his friend be put in the spotlight and so he did the same.
With both of there goals different and conflicting interests all around, neither part of the King was destroyed. But he was torn apart.
Most of the values Self-preservation despised and the characteristics Morality adored were put into the side that had a red outfit.
While most of the values Morality Despised and some that Self-preservation adored were put into the side with a Green outfit. However, this new side wasn’t breathing.
Self-preservation made his way over there and tried to save him, he ended up using the last of his energy to do so, however he lost a part of himself as he did and Morality watched with tear filled eyes as a section of the Green King’s hair turned silver. Then he started breathing again.
Morality tried not to show his fear of the side of the face that Self-preservation was cursed on, but it was hard, however Self-preservation showed no filters on how disappointed he was in Morality. They were supposed to work together! And all morality had been was Selfish!
Morality, with tears streaming down his face took the Red side of King to the the common area and Self-preservation took the Green side of King, and took him deeper into the mind where neither of them could be hurt again.
Self-preservation lost most of his ability to speak the truth, and was only able to do so if he focused, but it left him drained and his throat sore if he did it for too long.
Morality lost his confidence, choosing to bottle up his emotions and fears so that he wouldn’t be selfish and tear apart something again.
The Red side didn’t remember much, only to not trust the words of a Slimey Snake.
The Green side remembered Most of it, and knew never to trust Morality, he tried to kill him after all!
The “Twins” met for a few months when they could get away. But overtime the Red side declared that the Green was bad for him, he was too unfiltered and had horrible ideas, while The Green side thought his brother was far to egotistical and his ideas were cliché. The two went there separate ways.
Overtime it became noticeable that the two still had traits of the other, The Green having a large Ego at times, and The Red having ideas that were taboo in someway.
You can never shatter a mirror directly down the middle.
Several things were lost that day, all for the good and wellbeing of Thomas.
-
This is just an idea that popped in my head of how several things happened in Sanders Sides, all occurring from the split. I hope you enjoyed! Have a wonderful night/day! And remember to be the You that You want to be!

Fan theory: Patton and Janus used to be one, before they split like Remus and Roman
Disclaimer: don’t interpret too much into this, it’s just a vent, but you’re more than welcome to either support or disprove my theory
Even tho I am a big supporter of the "janus and virgil used to be one before they split like Roman and remus" theory, I offer a new theory of "Janus and Patton used to be one before they split" but before you judge, hear me out
So janus and patton are supposed to be polar opposites with Patton representing Morality and Janus Deceit (and supposedly dislike each other)
Sound a bit like Roman and Remus if you ask me, but bear with me I have some actual arguments as well;
Now janus is also half snake (or at least got snake like features: a few scales, one slit eye and a lisp causing him to “sssssss”) , and I personally took it away as a reference to his snake like behavior (backhanded compliments etc)
But while Janus was having his redemption ark (in SvS Redux), Patton basically turned into a frog, you know the cool animated fight scene. Now, you will realize that Snakes and Frogs are both amphibious creatures
Which therefore leaves the room for interpretation that Patton and Janus may not be so different from each other
This also plays along that Patton and Janus where “build” (?) / “created” at the same time, causing them to both having those amphibious features…
Now I ask you, what seems more logical, Deceit and Morality both coming into existence at the same exact time, or a different side came to existence featuring both their character traits, which then later on, split into Deceit and Morality
Or as a third option, and probably the likeliest, I’m just overthinking this whole situation, bending over backwards to somehow make this theory

the idea of patton like, actively causing remus and roman to become separate sides- in line with the King Creativity theory- is so funny to me because like. this happened when they were all very young, in show we have confirmation that remus and roman would have formed separately/become separate at a very young age. so like. Patton would also be a small child??? like?? why would he be a Grown and Fully Responsible Adult while Thomas and the rest of them were children. What. So like even if there was a King, and Morality was the cause of his separation, like... sir that is a Toddler. That is a 9 year old at most i don’t think we should keep him too accountable for this /lh
#tacking the /lh on at the end cuz im not trying to start discourse i just find this. funny.#and in case u couldnt tell i dont personally like the king theory.#haha watch me desperately trying to avoid using the term split in this paragraph.....#anyway uh#sanders sides#tss#roman sanders#remus sanders#patton sanders

I've gotchu!! my friend sent me this post just now, and I love reccing fics so here are some fics I've read and loved with the creativitwins having a nice relationship. We deserve nice moments with these brothers QwQ I tried to pick fics that mainly feature the two of them instead of ones with just a scene or two out of the entire thing, (though I've read many where they aren't directly interacting but trying to find one another the entire time):
[A Parent Trap AU that is really well-done, featuring Remus and Roman and Moceit X3 highly rec, it's sweet]
[Roman gets turned into a kid, and is taken care of my Remus]
[Post Split Theory, Remus finds King Creativity's old weapon]
[I just finished reading this one this week, I really liked it a lot-- it's a soulmates AU with a twist]
[Remus is going through it and his family being there for him]
[Remus needs help to not freeze to death]
[the twins try to work together to defeat the villain!]
I def have more, I have scoured their tags extensively, angst is just really hard to dodge with them XD so I tried at the very least for hurt/comfort when the angst was angsting-- I hope these are good reads for you too!! <3
Can someone @ me in the comments of cat photos and wholesome creativitwins fanfics so I can hate myself for being attached too easily less

the real question is:
in the human au's (or even just in fanon idk) do we think Roman or Remus is slightly older?
#pls dont tag as r/mr/m#rambling#p e r s o n a l l y: i think its neat when roman is younger#like it could work both ways#but remus being the annoying older brother who just wants to embarrass roman at any time by just being extra™???? yes pls#and roman just 'i promise i dont know him-'#i know they're probably the exact same age (if we go with the split theory) but i like the idea of one of them being older#sanders sides#roman sanders#remus sanders#creativitwins
