updated the rpg maker iceberg I made a while ago

A year ago I made this iceberg (with another account) trying to put as many games as possible and I ended up receiving a lot of comments with suggestions, and I saw that I left a lot of things out, so here they are!

Two cats watch ominously in the corner because I was too lazy to hide them...

I added the attack animation for the main weapon (a pink plunger) (very cool)! I’m going to canonically make her ambidextrous because I was too lazy to make separate left and right attack sprites 😂... What I’m most proud of though is the tacky wallpaper which I may or may not have spent too long on because I couldn’t figure out how to make them seamless.

There are still enemy mechanics I want to add but for the life of me I can’t wrack my brain atm... back to staring at the screen.

I made a lot fewer games in VX Ace, in comparison to 2003 or MV, but this is when I started using scripts to customize the game in ways that weren't possible previously through events. I spent most of my time in VX Ace working on my college senior thesis, Detective Ragger. Additionally, the Detect IV game was the one that did the most using some of the more built-in assets.

A prick of the finger is all that takes to awaken the maiden from her fate. When she fully awakens she will see that time has changed for thee. One wonders how she will react. Will she cry, or will she just want to die? But alas her story is not over yet for you see the curse is still intact. Her days are numbered and you will see the maiden should have slumbered for all eternity. Long time no post, I am back and still working on the demo but I will be happy to announce I have two maps left and then the demo is done!

Announcement post! I've started continuing work on an old project I had started.

Just a silly lil RPG maker game, but I'm quite proud of how I got the Title screen to look!

I'll probably post small teasers here and there, until it's finished in like 40 years.

The pull of RPG Maker was too strong, the urge to open the program and attempt to create yet another ambitious project beyond my mental capabilities? Ohhh yeahhh. I’m going into this with no expectations and am curious to see how far I get... it’ll be fun... maybe...

At the moment I’m working on a proof of concept for my ideas. It’s been going okay so far! I’m back to staring at my screen, questioning my life choices, and wonder why the damn thing doesn’t work. Ah, it’s just as I remembered (affectionate). I want to attempt a more interactive project this time where the player can actively fight enemies. Very cool stuff. I’m also putting myself in a death grip to keep the scope small.

The enemy can chase the player if they enter a certain range within it’s line of sight and attack when the player is within attack range. The player can take damage if they don’t escape out of attack range. It seems to work... for now. Haha please stay that way.

Next is to let the player attack and damage the enemy......... oh boy.
