biggest self-care move a young girl can make nowadays is going full offline for a good while. deactivating all social media, limiting messaging apps to emergencies only, limiting browsing and screen time to a minimum, and no selfies. not for a few days or weeks, but months. at least a semester, but a year would be ideal

it may seem ironic or hypocritical that I am saying this on a social media app, through a smartphone. but not only am I old enough to remember being a kid without an iphone in my hands, I have also gone through the experiment myself. and the only reason why I don't feel oppressed by social media now is because I have turned it off before. it's no longer something I can't imagine my days without: it's an accessory to everything else, and not the other way around

Atwood helped me be brave. I only wish June got to be brave too.

I read The Handmaid’s Tale long before it became a television series, at a time in my life when I was quietly crawling out of trauma. I was meeting someone new. Someone who didn’t check all the usual boxes but made me feel seen. Truly seen. Alive in ways I hadn’t felt before. The story of June and Nick hit me in the gut because it mirrored that feeling. It gave me courage. It whispered that there was power in choosing a love that wasn’t safe, but true.

Then the show came along. And Max Minghella’s performance in Season 1… I mean, I fell. Hopelessly. I’ve loved many fictional men—Damon Salvatore, Logan Echolls—but Nick Blaine? He carved out a different kind of space.

Nick wasn’t the loudest. He wasn’t the most traditionally heroic. He was quiet, restrained, morally conflicted, and often relegated to the shadows. But in those silences, in his stillness, there was devotion. There was rage. There was love. He carried guilt and grief and longing in his body like it was armor, and still, he chose her. Again and again. Even when it put him at odds with the world he was surviving in. Even when it meant sacrificing his own safety, his status, his peace.

As a woman, it might seem strange to say that I saw myself in him, but I did. I saw someone who couldn’t always say what he felt, but who loved with terrifying intensity. I saw someone who understood that survival sometimes meant compromise, but that love, real love, demanded bravery.

But what deepened my connection to this story wasn’t just the romance. It was the idea that you didn’t have to follow the path that was laid out for you. That women could choose something different. That there was dignity and liberation in building a life outside the box. That loving messily, unconventionally, could be its own act of resistance.

And that womanhood didn’t have to be defined by motherhood. That you could be whole without bearing children, or without raising them. That your love, your worth, your capacity for care and strength and identity wasn’t contingent on being a “good mother” in the traditional sense.

But in the end, the story abandoned that truth. It elevated motherhood as the only valid expression of female strength and purpose, and it did so at the expense of women who live outside that mold. It erased the woman who loves deeply but cannot be with her child. The woman who chooses love that doesn’t lead to family in the traditional sense. The woman whose story is not centered on caregiving, but on surviving, resisting, burning it all down, and loving wildly while doing it.

In doing so, the story scapegoated the childless woman. The woman who doesn’t fit. The woman who dares to define herself outside of motherhood. It punished June for being that woman, for loving a man who didn’t belong in the picture-perfect frame. For wanting more than a white-picket-fence ending. For wanting freedom, not just family.

That message, the one that first made me brave, was lost. And I’m still grieving that loss.

I chose the unconventional path. I chose the complicated love. I chose the life outside the box. And I’ve never regretted it.

So it breaks my heart that the show abandoned that message in the end. That it framed June’s deepest, most complicated love as something to let go of. That it punished her for choosing a man who didn’t “fit” the traditional mold. That it silenced the radical power of what they were together. That it refused to let her say the words we all knew were true.

I wish she had been allowed to say it out loud. To name her love. To choose it. Loudly. Proudly. Bravely.

Because sometimes being brave means not going back to what’s easy or expected. Sometimes it means loving the complicated thing. Building the messy life. Choosing the partner who sees all your darkness and stays anyway.

Atwood helped me be brave. And if you’re standing at that crossroads, I hope you will be brave too.

For the life outside the box. For the love that doesn’t make sense on paper. For the version of yourself that feels most alive.

Even if the show forgot that in the end… I won’t. And I hope you won’t either.

Wait a minue, something doesn't sit right with me here. Also this is a silverborn spoiler so steer clear those of you who haven't finished the book.

So,

Mog goes 2 weeks without contact and her unit just lightly teases her?? The other reviews I have seen for Silverborn that said people were sort of disappointed. I understand but i let it slide because we get to see Mog just being a rebellious teenager in this one.

BUT HER UNIT WHO, LED BY CADENCE AND HAWTHORN, BROKE DOWN THE STATION DOOR TO HER ROOM BECAUSE HOTEL DEUCALION CLOSED ITSELF AND THEY WERE TOO WORRIED ABOUT HER. THIS IS THE SAME UNIT!!! I cannot abide. This is the only point where i felt like the characters aren't really written in their full glory as they were in previous books. I don't think unit 919 would have been able to live through it if Mog went TWO WEEKS without contact. I just cannot.

Other than that, DETECTIVE BLACKBURN! I love Cadence being in her element.

It was a bummer that we didn't get to see Dame Chanda here AT ALL and so less of the rest of the Hotel Deucalion family. I understand it's because it was in the silver distric and this was Mog's blood relatives arc but still a bit disappointed. Also I didn't really like the whole whodunit part. Would've loved it more as a srandalone or side book. In this (the main 4th book that I waited 5 years for) it just felt unnecessary and certainly something that shouldn't have taken 600 pages. Would have been happy if the whole silver distric jazz took only a third or even half the book instead of everything.

But still, JACK 😭😭😭😭 AND THE END?? this is just breaking my heart.

I love this world Townsend has created. But i really really found myself invested in only certain section of the book. The beginning was great, and the end 😭 (obviously). And in the middle, i only was invested to know about Bertram and a bit about Mog's mum (and Jupiter's letters 😭). Other than that, I found myself just muddling through the chunk of the silver district plotline and realized i was waiting and waiting to 'get back to the story.' I forced myself to survive through the bridgertonny social scandal and everything because (I really hate to say it) I was BORED.

Also, I didn't really like most of the new characters (except Bertram and Vesta Rinaldi) or didn't care about them much to find out more, including Louis and Lottie. This is only my personal bias but I really dislike characters/people like Louis and Lottie who are soooo invested in gossip and scandal and their whole lives practically revolve around it (esp Lottie seems to squeal with delight when she gets wind of gossip on other people's misery, reminds me of Kitty Beauregard. And idk how i feel morrigan being friends with someone like that. Showing how they confronted their father about his political beliefs for morrigan does nothing to make me trust them). I guess it's concerning when seeing someone like Lottie makes me see Noelle in a better light when we collectively hated how hoity toity she was in book 1. I just found the whole aristocratic scandal and whatever really boring.

But kudos to those who enjoyed it though. For readers who prefer these tropes and enjoy it, I'm glad you found something joyful.

Now that Mog's trust and faith in her found family has been strengthened, I CAN'T WAIT FOR BOOK 5

the first thing im the most frustrated about is the way they handled inho and junho's storyline. since s1 we have seen them set up such a special, emotional relationship of two brothers, who by the end of the show have matching surgery and bullet scars, but suddenly we don't get a single scene of them? nothing?

WHY did inho send the baby off to junho? what is he supposed to do with her? inho taking care of the baby himself would've made more sense considering he joined the games for his wife and baby and it could be set up as a way to redeem himself but he sends off another burden in his little brother's life??

wdym inho who was desperate to save his little brother, who gave a kidney to him, who saved his life and wanted him far away from the games as possible, is readily allowing for his worker to 'kill them all including the detective'???? im so pissed at how they butchered the more humane aspects of his character

the vip scenes were HORRIBLE and took away from the mysterious/emotional aspects of the show. they couldve given that screentime to exploring the characters relationships, or inho and junho or inho and gihun's dynamic, but NOOOOO. the voice work was EVEN WORSE! especially with the lady's!!

inho and gihun. i dont even have words for this. they hyped up their dynamic throughout the press, through photoshoots and the 457 thing, and the most we get is a few minutes confrontation?? gihun's entire arc in s2 revolved around unmasking the frontman, asking his motivations, FIGHTING HIM, but when gihun finds out its his former teammate who he developed a friendship with, its NOTHING? it almost felt like their entire dynamic in s2 never happened, it felt like the hollow shell of the characters they'd made but without any sort of development

it's clear they were setting up american squid game's foundation through their ending (yet another show im surprised they greenlit) but WHY THE FUCK were they playing ddakji? shouldnt they be playing american children's games?? considering korean squid game was about koren children's games?? im 100% netflix's involvement and pressure regarding setting up the american sg is one of the major reasons why the writing is so poor in this version.

myunggi. what the fuck happened to him bro. its apparent his motivations were driven by money from the start, but one of the reasons he abandoned junhee also stemmed from his love for her. we saw glimpses of it in s2. and then they quite literally make him the main villain in s3? it feels a little shallow and taking the easy route. killing his own daughter is crazy. but i guess with guys like him it was the most obvious route he'd take. its still a little disheartening to see.

idgaf about namgyu. im sorry i cannot stand him. i was happy when he died 😭

no-eul was incredible. big fan of park heesoon as the masked man. i really liked their dynamic. she's one of my favourite characters. but i feel like they could've done more with his character. he was clearly meant to lead the games incase something happened to inho.

gihun was truly a very well written protagonist. at the end he did something very gihun like; and he moves me so much. what did irk me about him is the fact that he readily killed daeho with his bare hands— his teammate and someone his best friend truly cherished. but he hesitated to kill the actual bad men who were responsible for many deaths including his teams, and threatened to kill him and the baby. it was very frustrating to see. gihun does have a dark side but why was it aimed at the wrong people?

hyunju's death KILLED me. genuinely. i cried. and the old lady's. their arcs were very well written but god they devastated me.

ill be honest i was so sure the series would end with inho dead someway. preferably killing himself. i was so sure we'd see him sacrifice himself for junho, considering how emotionally charged their storyline has been so far. it was disappointing how it was handled.

and a fair bit of reworking to do for my tonis who are very explicitly connected to the irminsul - both in their default g.enshin verse but also in any interactions within the greater h.oyoverse games aka hi.3 and h.sr

—aka this is flower's wild attempt to formally connect the tonis' irminsul lore to another powerful tree-shaped concept aka the imaginary tree

also if you don't wanna read the entire insane ramble, there's a short tl;dr at the bottom lol)

—Okay, so here's a basic overview of how I've incorporated Irminsul into Tonia's and Freyja's background at the moment:

Both of them are fused with Irminsul at the cellular level, meaning that the two of them biologically identify and function like Irminsul to an extent. This fusion was initiated—and permitted, and only continues to be permitted without any signs of biological rejection symptoms—by Irminsul's will.

As is, that is a major twisting of the lore, because the Irminsul isn't really a "tree", nor has its own will, nor is even actually tangible at times. For lack of better words, it's an unthinking "system" that ferries around elemental power, memories and souls; its extremities like the leylines can become solid, but its central mass and interior has been visually depicted as pure energy.

As such, most likely, Irminsul isn't something that can be merged with, much less organic enough to even be compatible with sentient beings. It's merely an inorganic defense system and energy conduit wired across the entire world.

(So I said fuck that and wrote otherwise anyway. The joys of writing AUs.)

—Now, here's a basic idea of what the Imaginary Tree is:

The Imaginary Tree is a term used to describe the universe and is the origin of all things, including Imaginary energy. Its branches depict different timelines and its leaves depict different worlds.

Both in HI.3 and H.SR, the Imaginary Tree is not a tangible thing - it's a concept at minimum.

In the former, though the Tree is a proven existence, actually defining it in a specific sense is difficult without going into rigorous, obtuse detail. And even then, calling the Tree a "tangible object" is very much incorrect, because this thing is absolutely not an existence restrained to the third dimension.

In the latter, the concept of the Tree is still at the level of discourse - of just speculation and theory, and thus far, there doesn't seem to be solid, tangible evidence for. It's much akin to concepts within quantum physics, where some things are accepted as a baseline for understanding the overall subject and for studies, but there isn't any definite proof for it—or at least, there's a scientific acceptance that the concept could be debunked by a future experiment's results, depending.

—All of which is to say, to connect the Irminsul and the Imaginary Tree is to connect a sometimes-tangible thing to a pure concept. The Irminsul is a proven, known, physical existence vs. the Imaginary Tree being an existence that can go so beyond the norms of regular science, that it still borders the idea of just being a theory at times.

I'm still connecting them anyway. Later down this long ass post, that is.

—Now, as a quick recap, here's some notable places where Irminsul plays a significant role for Tonia and Freyja:

1.

Freyja died in the Abyss, coincidentally near a prominent branch/root of the Irminsul. Her dying consciousness was too stubborn to fade away, which impressed a sentient cluster of the tree, who thusly shared some of its tangible matter and fused a part of itself into her corpse/body. This grants her a functional immortality of sorts, as well as being able to have powers and abilities similar—if not exactly like—the Irminsul itself. In exchange for this boon however, Freyja is bound to act as the tree's representative - as a tangible vessel for its will, one that can exist and act in the physical realm. She is further bound by its personal laws of self-preservation and principles of non-intervention, though the eons of service ensure that she has some measure of favor and leeway with this.

2.

Tonia died in the Abyss, with her corpse being found by Freyja shortly after. Under Freyja's request, she was revived in the same manner as Freyja was - being granted a similar level of inhuman power, and a similar contract to serve the Irminsul and its non-interventionist decrees. Due to how recently this occurred, as well as Tonia not being directly chosen by the Irminsul - not to mention her, ah, difficult personality - she does not have as much leeway to do as she likes in regards to the tree's powers and demands. This doesn't mean she has no favour whatsoever though, only some, at least when compared to Freyja.

3.

Freyja lives in a forest filled with different Irminsuls - all of which are offshoots of the original Irminsul tree from a different cycle of history/parallel world version of Teyvat. This forest exists because Freyja desires to witness a Teyvat "where the human heart prevails over fate", and in the meantime, preserves the "failures" in the eternal form of memories. At some point in the very distant past, she had learned to manipulate the Irminsul, its connections and functions, thereby enabling the creation of this forest. Eventually, to protect the forest, she severed the forest at the spatial and temporal level, hiding the entire place in a realm between dimensions - a pocket dimension, whose existence and location is anchored to her (and Tonia) instead.

4.

Because of the above point, Freyja would be classified as a Descender if she were to enter Teyvat. While her connections to Irminsul will allow her to go undetected for a while initially, this won't last forever. Tonia is not classified as such, despite being equally capable, because she is not as trained with her powers + has no real, personal desire to "affect momentous moments and turn the wheel of fate".

I'm a lazy person, so I'm not going to completely rewrite Tonia's and Freyja's connection to Irminsul.

It would be a LOT of work to rewrite anyway, considering how central it is to them - and after writing so much on this premise, I don't want to tear out all of the foundations just to fit in the brand new canon, y'know?

But as G.enshin seems to be moving closer to HI.3 and H.SR in terms of a shared universe - or at least, shared worldbuilding principles - at this time, I'm going to need to put some ducks in order, just in case the H.onkai allusions become even more explicit, or even confirmed in the future.

So, I'm going to try and line things up here so that my lore headcanons ft. Irminsul don't clash too much with the current worldbuilding in the honkie games ww

—Currently, Tonia's HI.3 and H.SR verse is based on this idea:

The Irminsul is a local physical manifestation of the Imaginary Tree in Teyvat.

And I will be keeping this idea, actually.

And now, expanding on it:

The Irminsul is a creation of the Heavenly Principles that draws upon Imaginary energy directly from the Imaginary Tree. In a sense, it could be considered an offshoot or even an (inferior) creation mirroring and borrowing some functional aspects of the Imaginary Tree, localized to manifest within a specific range of dimensions, including that of the physical third dimension.

aka the Irminsul is a separate thing that specifically draws upon the Imaginary Tree's powers. By drawing upon its energy, a connection between the Irminsul and the Imaginary Tree exists.

—Thus, the baseline explanation and consequence of the Irminsul-Imaginary Tree connection is as follows:

To be "fused" or "connected" to Irminsul - in the manner that Tonia and Freyja are, at least - is the same as being connected to the Imaginary Tree. Which is to say, at the very least, their powers are universe-bending authorities partially borrowed from the Imaginary Tree.

With this premise as the basic foundation, this ensures that the two of them can exist in the HI.3 and H.SR settings with a comparability in concepts. This enables interactions with people from other worlds/galaxies/timelines, as well as potential traversal beyond the bounds of G.enshin's own setting of Teyvat and the Abyss if needed.

—Now, extending the logic of the premise even further:

Essentially, by being connected to the Imaginary Tree, Freyja and Tonia are connected to the (currently known) highest form of existence and power there is in the shared H.oyoverse.

The Imaginary Tree is the very universe at hand, life and everything, an existence that embodies and enables existence itself. To be connected to it is be associated with something—or at least, to have a certain level of power—beyond even what the games will define as gods like Archons, and at least on par to metaphysical beings like Aeons.

Also, if you consider what Surtalogi has said or been described as, in regards to his own power and in regards to defining the qualities of a "Descender" - at the very least, in his eyes, one must possess an immense power or at least potential, capable of shifting the outcome of pivotal events in history or the present.

A Descender can "change fate", rather than be the one affected or manipulated by fate. This also entails a level of freedom to go wherever, and thereby be able to do whatever in a sense.

As such, this premise provides an explanation for Freyja being able to manipulate the fabric of space and time to create her own pocket dimension, as she could have drawn upon the power of the literal origin of the universe (via her own Irminsul connection) to do so.

Accomplishing the above is an extremely inhuman, almost godly level of feat as is. Not to mention that the authorities of the Imaginary Tree go beyond mere manipulation of space and time, being capable of almost anything and everything. This would very much qualify someone as a "Descender" - as such a person, should they desire to affect the story of a world with such power, could likely easily do so. They just need the will to do it.

Also, this premise can support the theorized idea of Teyvat being a Bubble Universe (a world/universe/timeline that was purged from the Imaginary Tree, left to drift in the chaotic Sea of Quanta and eventually vanish without a continued link to the Tree that enables existence) - as despite being a Bubble Universe, Teyvat would maintain enough of a link to the Tree (and its energy) to continue existing on its lonesome.

—Alternatively, what Freyja encountered in the Abyss when she died wasn't the Irminsul at all, but the Imaginary Tree itself.

Whether she found some other connection to the Tree in her death, or whether her mind miraculously found its way directly into the flow of the Imaginary Tree itself - either way, perhaps Freyja encountered the Imaginary Tree itself, and was granted a portion of its own universe-defining authority.

Assuming this alternative is the case, not much changes for Freyja and Tonia—or anything mentioned thus far, everything still stands—besides them having a much more direct link to the Imaginary Tree.

The only real difference is more of an addition - should this alternative premise be followed, then the "Irminsul" within Freyja and Tonia is not actually Irminsul.

Rather, it would be Imaginary energy that was condensed, molded, and designed to look and act like Irminsul.

This disguise would serve several purposes:

As an existing concept native to Teyvat, it's a more "compatible" form for the Imaginary energy to take for Freyja and Tonia, who come from there.

Additionally, it's a form/concept that wouldn't raise any flags for any world-observing powers that don't like anything foreign within its boundaries.

Finally, Irminsul's ability to preserve memories and channel the elements are ideal properties for Freyja, who is devoted to the former and comes from a world with said elements.

—An important note, however:

Considering the Imaginary Tree harbors and facilitates all life, events and possibilities - to be connected to it and able to draw on its universe-bending powers, also means that you should be able to defy the concept of fate as well.

Theoretically, anyway.

Under this premise, both Freyja and Tonia are indeed capable of going wherever they want and doing whatever they please with zero limits whatsoever. However, neither do so for varying reasons each.

In Freyja's case, her personal ambition doesn't necessitate such excessive use of power or to wander the universe much in the first place - though, that doesn't mean she doesn't have her moments otherwise. In Tonia's case, she has no desire whatsoever to do anything so grand, much less tap into her powers that deeply - which also means her control over it can be rather rough anyway.

But most importantly, for both, their powers and connections are ultimately due to a "deal" with the Irminsul/Imaginary Tree. To maintain their powers requires honouring the deal throughout i.e. to follow the tree's decrees, and as such, they don't actually have an absolute, unchecked freedom to do as they wish with said powers.

In that sense, it could be said that neither of them are all that powerful in reality - they are merely borrowing power from something else, rather than possessing any great, innate power of their own.

Additionally, as the Imaginary Tree dictates existence, it could be said that the concept of fate is dictated by the universe itself; to defy fate is to defy the universe is to defy what enables your existence itself. And as both Freyja and Tonia directly serve the Tree, they cannot defy its commands (fate), only facilitate it.

For Tonia, this is perfectly fine - she doesn't really care anyway, and has no great ambitions. It might grate on her nerves a bit to be nothing but a "pawn" and a "servant", but at the end of the day, she has no interest in playing with the chessboard of the universe and would prefer keeping to her very microscopic (in comparison) range of interests—i.e. a normal life with friends and family.

For Freyja on the other hand, despite the arrangement she has for her powers - it could be said that she is at a higher level regardless, standing as a person who can manipulate fate all the same, if not actively trying to defy it.

As mentioned previously, Freyja's eons of dutiful service have granted a measure of favour that enables some leeway in how she applies herself and her given powers. If she so desires, she could in fact occasionally intervene in a matter or two that she otherwise isn't supposed to - as she already has with Tonia, who shouldn't have survived, much less been bestowed power that was then applied by the Fatui for their own ends in Teyvat; something that needed to be overlooked by reinterpreting the Tree's idea of "non-intervention" in the first place.

And that's the crucial part: Freyja has a desire, and corresponding willpower, to manipulate and defy the flow of fate in the universe.

As mentioned before, this desire is "to witness the human heart prevailing over fate" i.e. to encounter a Teyvat where the people define their future on their own and can witness any disasters it holds, rather than receiving a series of random events (fate) and simply reacting back to the consequences. Due to this desire, she technically harbors a wish to manipulate and defy fate for the world of Teyvat. It is only her contract with the Irminsul/Imaginary Tree that prevents her from doing anything directly—as well as the fact that her wish is an unconscious one that even she doesn't realize she has.

To an extent, she has already taken action on her desire, even if she doesn't think so - besides the situation with Tonia, the creation of her Irminsul-filled forest is another small example of her attempting to go beyond her basic duties due to a personal whim. She didn't really need to create all those memory backups, but did it anyway because she couldn't stand letting the dead stay dead and gone entirely. And she somehow figured out how to manipulate time and space for the whole thing too.

Additionally, there is also her tendency to "test" people who manage to encounter her or her forest. In a sense, she is somewhat justified, as she is not easily reachable, and it takes a great coincidence to just run into her anywhere - so a person who manages it might just harbor some great, fate-defying potential.

If they meet her high expectations of such, she will allow them free passage and access to the knowledge and wisdom that she possesses. If not, she kills them, which technically goes against the idea of non-intervention, but she has (delusionally) excused it as the person not being able to return home in one piece, and therefore, they won't have any impact in life anyway, so it would be a mercy to kill them now and maintain a mere ghostly record of their memory.

And do you ever think about how this is the case with all his Pokémon EXCEPT his Klinklang in the final battle at the league, where the second to last battle he had a Klink and this Klinklang is very likely that same Pokémon? Do you think this was a visual representation of his mindset wavering from a fixed point? How that Klink refused to leave him right away and he couldn’t bring himself to force them to leave because his mind is in so many different directions? I cannot stop thinking about Episode 5 of TADC because Ragatha is, however unintentionally, one of the best examples of how isolating and difficult it is to interact with the world as an autistic person I have ever seen. To the point it genuinely makes me sad to think about her. I need to make a post expanding on this at some point but rn just. The way everyone assumes there’s some sinister hidden meaning to everything she does and says but she’s literally just trying to be nice and she doesn’t understand why it’s not working. The way she tries so hard to make connections but it constantly falls flat, she says things that hurt without realising how or why. She follows the rules she’s been taught will make her friends — she’s kind, she’s forgiving, she’s accepting and apologetic when she messes up, but for some reason it’s just not working. She tries to mimic other people, she tries to laugh at past experiences, tries to open up about her past like everyone else is doing, but now everyone’s uncomfortable and looking at her like she’s crazy and she doesn’t get it!! She doesn’t get it!!! Jax is a jerk and he’s mean to everyone but for some reason Pomni likes him and she doesn’t get it, she doesn’t understand! Pomni tells her it’s okay to be a jerk sometimes but Ragatha doesn’t like being mean, she wants to be nice to people, but she does it anyway, she gets mean like Jax and Zooble do but now Pomni’s looking at her like she’s done something wrong but she just did what she asked her to!! She doesn’t get it!! At the end of the episode everyone goes off into their groups and Ragatha is left alone, after having tried so hard to make friends and fit in and make people like her, she’s still alone, and everyone thinks she’s weird and unapproachable and she just has to give up and accept that she is inherently unloveable. Her evil alter ego tells her she’s going to die alone and nobody loves her and the only thing she corrects her on is the fact that they can’t die here. The few that might like her when she’s around don’t miss her when she’s gone, because there’s nothing to miss. Ragatha has spent her whole life systematically stripping away everything that makes her different and unlikeable in order to make herself more palatable to others, and in the process she has made herself a personalitiless blank slate with no unique identity for others to latch onto and appreciate. She has nothing to add to any conversation because she’s too afraid of being disliked to have a memorable personality beyond being generally polite and nice. And just. God. Someone get this girl some noise cancelling headphones and a therapist on speed dial, being this good of a representation of what it’s like to be autistic, especially to be an autistic person with trauma, is not good for the soul. That final shot just destroys me right in the heart. My poor girl.
