Imagine a spy x family au of clark Kent (Superman) as yor forger and Bruce Wayne as Loid

So Bruce is still Batman in this universe, but the villain he is currently after is Ra‘s al Ghul, who never shows his face in public except for at the private school his grandson attends.

Since he is also still Bruce Wayne, getting in won‘t be a problem but well… he needs a kid for that, and unfortunately he is fresh out.

Luckily, on the day Ra‘s trail leads him to the school, he runs into reporter Clark Kent who is writing a piece on Eden College. As they talk, Clark mentions how his son Jon dreamt of getting into the school, but unfortunately he couldn’t afford it, so immediately a plan forms in Bruce‘s head. He and Clark will pretend to be married so he can use his Wayne money and influence to get Jon in. Clark of course refuses because he can’t ask that of someone he just met - though in that very moment his super senses pick up on something, Bruce has been followed (he’s not as careful in this Universe I guess, bear with me I need this for the story lol) and a sniper is about to shoot him. Clark reacts on instinct throwing himself at Bruce, pushing him out of the way, then takes his hand to run into an alleyway. Some shots hit Clark but he is unaffected and Bruce pretends not to notice. The sniper catches up to them from the roof above, so Clark knowing nothing else to do takes a pebble and throws it with just the right speed to knock him out without killing him (assume this is possible, Idk). His excuse is:

„I used to be pebble throwing champion at the eagle scouts, I have a badge to prove it“ (he actually does lol)

Bruce is not an idiot and doesn’t buy it, but he seizes the opportunity to say that now after Clark saved him he is in his debt, so he will help his son get into the school. Clark still tries to interject, but Bruce stops him by pulling a clip from his pocket (usually used for grappling lol) and grabbing his hands.

„I swear to you, for saving my life, I will do everything in my power to get your son into Eden College, and until my debt is paid, I will be your husband and this ring shall represent my promise.“ as he puts the clip on the finger of a very flustered Clark.

And so it happens that Clark and Jon move into Wayne Manor and Bruce gets Jon into Eden, where Jon meets Damian and they become immediate rivals.

Shenanigans ensue as Bruce tries to get Jon closer to Damian without being too obvious, while also trying to figure out wtf is up with his new husband and adopted son because they are clearly not human and very bad at hiding it. He gets struck by Loid Forger loveblindness though, so he never makes the connection to Superman (who he knows exists but has probably never met) and over time he starts caring less and less about it because he has always wanted a family and it feels so good after being alone all his life and he doesn’t wanna ruin it it’s just for the mission anyway and Clark is clearly too good a person to be a threat so it doesn’t matter. Or maybe he figures it out immediately and spends the rest of the story pretending to ignore the blatantly obvious ways in which Clark reveals himself and nodding at all his ridiculous excuses. (I might prefer this one tbh 😆)

There‘ll probably also be an arc where Bruce learns Damian is actually his biological son and has an emotional crisis.

Clark spends all his time badly hiding his identity, all the while never realizing his partner is actually Batman, despite him sneaking out every night and coming back with bruises (he knows that from his powers but he thinks it’s not his business what Bruce does in his private time, so he tries not to think about it)

So both still go on their superhero missions and if you want they can meet as heroes too and then you basically get Miraculous Ladybug lol

Maybe they also adopt Krypto for Jon.

Oh and I‘m imagining Lois died at some point when Jon was still very young, so him and Bruce really bond over that and Bruce remembers the reason for his mission, so that no child would ever have to lose their parents again (which gets complicated as he still fully plans to leave them once he has captured Ra‘s)

Franky is Alfred btw so Jon still gets a cool Uncle.

Maybe there is also a subplot where Clark spends his whole time fending off enemies trying to attack his completely normal civilian husband (how weird of them, right?) because the sniper managed to escape and leaked his identity. Luckily most his villains don’t believe such a ridiculous conspiracy theory (I mean spoiled billionaire Bruce Wayne as Batman? how laughable!) so only some local gangs come after him.

idk if anyone else felt this way, but in the Shapeshifter ep of Dungeon Meshi, it's treated like a joke that all the copies of Laios are super obviously not him, but isn't it kind of fucked up that Laios's closest companions don't seem to view him as... whole?

None of his companions had an accurate view of him as a person! One of the copies was a stupid, drooling mess! And on top of this, they all believed that because Laios struggles with social cues he wouldn't be observant to them as people. They just... fundamentally don't understand him.

I think the really accurate copies of the rest of the party was drawn from Laios's mind. His powers of observation and analytics are his strength, but that's not the same as being good with social cues.

Anyway. It made me really sad. I know his party cares about him, but it's so isolating to know your friends don't know you.

How many drafts should you go through before deciding your novel is ready?

There's no specific (official) number, but to create a foundation that ensures you don't burn out quickly, overwork yourself, and get tired of your work, I'll say four. It's the same number I use for my students since most of them have other engagements outside writing that take up a copious amount of their time.

1. Initial or Zero Draft:

This draft is also called the 'just write' draft. Focus on putting that idea down. As the creative juices flow, let it all out. Don't worry about perfection or coherence; the goal is to capture your raw ideas and get the story out of your head and onto the page.

2. Second Draft:

This is the plot draft. Read through what you have written to see if every detail you added was meant to be. Here, you focus on the structure of your story. Ensure that the plot makes sense, the pacing is right, and there are no major plot holes. This is where you might add, remove, or rearrange scenes to improve the overall flow of the narrative.

3. Third Draft:

Character development draft. In this stage, you look deeper into your characters. Make sure their motivations, backgrounds, and arcs are well-defined and consistent. Flesh out their personalities and relationships, ensuring they are compelling and believable. This is also a good time to refine dialogue and make sure it sounds natural and true to each character. That's for this drafting stage.

4. Fourth Draft:

Grammar and punctuation draft. This is the polishing stage. Focus on correcting grammatical errors, punctuation, and spelling mistakes. Pay attention to sentence structure, word choice, and overall readability. This draft is about making your manuscript as clean and professional as possible.

Keep in mind that the goal is to define what completion means for each draft. Once you reach the goal, take a break and return to it for the next drafting stage.

Some writers pay people to carry out some of the drafting stages for them, so if you fall into that category, you might have fewer drafting stages to handle yourself!

Yeah! Sort of. I don't follow strict sheets but I do look at my own art for reference and a few months ago when I was just starting out the mw brainrot I made pages with designs and notes that are not accurate as of the present but still have the color palettes I color pick from to speed up coloring in comics where I need to.

Here's my very first finished concepts that are more certainly outdated for me as they kept evolving:

And ty :D every time I draw I feel like I'm inconsistent with how I draw them all but I guess it's not that bad after all. I keep general important defining shapes and elements the same on every drawing and keep in mind body language and facial expression nuances I made up in my head about each of them. I do suggest drawing everything out on a canvas for personal reference as it helps a lot to concretize ideas.

when you first glanced at her you did not take her for the type to be so affectionate - dyed black hair, smudged eyeshadow, not to mention the abundance of leather she was wearing as she celebrated knocking her opponent out cold. that mixed with her playboy reputation with some of her more desperate fans? let’s say you weren’t expecting nightly shoulder rubs and playful smushing of cheeks when you got home.

but when you finally gave her a chance to worm her way into your heart you were gladly surprised to see just how much of a sweetheart the boxer could really be. she texted you every day and constantly made sure you were taking care of your physical and mental well-being.

it was one of the faster knockouts she'd gotten in her career.

as soon as the press and her team were done talking to her she gave you a look. a look that said “get your ass in the car because you are so getting messed up when we get home,,”

and so, you get your ass in the car. and not even an hour later, she makes good on her silent words.

What do you think of the boys season 4

I love it!

homelander arc is very interesting because despite his god complex he is so undeniably human, also trying to balance his absolute psychotic mindset with genuinely trying to be what he thinks is a good father is really intriguing. he also seems somewhat more… tame? like violent murder is definitely still on the table, and he enjoys torturing those who wronged him, but it’s not as arbitrary and random as before, he doesn’t torture people like deep or a-train just for the sake of it, doesn’t care about being idolized by someone like firecracker, actually wants people who are somewhat equal to him and actively seeks out sage and accepts that he could actually learn from her („smart enough to listen“ is genuinely a pretty wise quote) and don’t get me wrong, none of this is homelander apologism, dude is still psycho, but it definitely feels like an intriguing growth - like developing from a superpowered man-baby to an actual supervillain (does him getting milk again represent a step back then? time will tell)

then on the other hand you have butcher torn between literal devil and angel on his shoulder as his time is running out, I loved his decision not to give ryan the cookies (the kid really seems to bring out the best in everyone - despite being somewhat pscho himself) and excited to see where it goes and if they‘ll actually kill him off (I think not tbh)

new noir is funny, may actually become a cool character

deep is still a sad little bitch

a-train redemption was expected and doesn’t feel perfectly executed, but I do really like it in theory and was hoping for it. that moment taking mm to the hospital where his little cousin sees him was great, something about actually becoming the hero people see him as… beautiful powerful arc if they go through with it

kimiko is still awesome and cute. I love her! don’t have much to say because I don’t fully get her arc (doesn’t show subtitles for some reason) but I‘m happy whenever she’s on screen, her exasperated sigh when she has to keep explaining everything with books was the best😂

mm is similar, I still love him but poor dude needs a break

hughie arc with his dad was very meaningful, accepting his death, reconciling with his mother and forgiving a-train, he has finally actually learned from his mistakes which is so great to see (compared to people like butcher always stepping in the same shit again and again)

annie confronting her past is also great, I actually hope her and cracker can somehow reconcile too (cracker is really up in the air, giving 50% redemption vibes but might also just double down on being evil and eventually getting killed or discarded)

tek knight was underwhelming, I expected an evil batman not a weird masochist, at least not JUST a weird masochist

frenchie Idk, he was a favorite before but I heard bad things about his actor, his arc is actually great imo I just can’t fully enjoy it

did I miss anyone? oh ashley… she’s just a weird character, can’t really hate nor pity her, she is a victim, she is a villain, she’s pathetic, she’s ultimately unnecessary and doesn’t add much

but yeah overall extremely happy with the season and can’t wait for next episode
