I think I accidentally inflicted some sort of psychological terrorism onto a friend of mine lmao. Basically, she's a full on atheist, but she still heavily dislikes demonic imagery due to religious trauma.
Anyway, she came across some Amazon Prime advertisement for Hazbin Hotel and she suddenly got very spooked by the sight of Alastor. Not just because she genuinely finds his design terrifying, but rather because he looked so eerily familiar. So she starts panicking about why the fuck this spooky cartoon demon from a show she's never seen before seems so familiar to her, wondering if he's some kind of remnant left by religious introduction haunting her from the depths of her psyche until she finally realised that she knew Alastor because he's my god damn WhatsApp profile pic.

apparently I've reached a state of social anxiety and sexual frustration where I experience the same phenomenon as cute aggression but about a person, because I just ended an interaction with a cute cashier at my favorite used book store by getting in my car and going "FUCK. god he was cute. FUCK."

reality shifting isn’t hard. you’ve been told it’s hard because everyone’s too scared to admit it’s not. they cling to their 800-step methods, their must-have crystals, their perfect conditions because they think that if they let go of that control, they’ll fail. but here’s the thing: the more you try to control the process, the more you convince yourself it’s out of your control. and that’s the problem. that’s why so many people feel stuck. shifting isn’t some big, far-fetched thing. it’s just you. it’s always been you.
we’re conditioned to think we’re powerless. think about it—school, work, society, all of it drills this idea into us that everything has to be proven, earned, validated. so, when you hear about shifting, your brain freaks out and says, wait, wait, this is too easy, this can’t be real. and then you spiral. you overcomplicate it. you make yourself think you need the “perfect” script, the “right” subliminal, or that you have to meditate for three hours while the stars align perfectly. like, no… you don’t. all of that? it’s fluff. it’s noise.
at its core, shifting is belief. just belief. no, really, let that sink in. you don’t need to “do” belief perfectly. it’s not something you master through sheer willpower. it’s something you already have. you’ve believed in things your whole life. you believed in gravity without needing proof. you believe your favorite songs are beautiful without needing to explain why. belief is natural. it’s effortless when you stop overthinking it. that’s the energy you need to bring to shifting—trust. trust that your mind knows what it’s doing, and that if you let it, it will take you there. every single extra thing you pile on? the overthinking, the doubt, the need for guarantees? that’s what’s slowing you down. not the “lack of progress,” not some mythical “block”—it’s you convincing yourself it’s harder than it is.
and let’s talk about social media for a second. oh my god, the shifting community on social media… i get it. it’s comforting to see other people on this journey. but let’s be honest—how much of that content is actually helping you? like, really? 90% of the time, scrolling through shifting advice isn’t inspiring; it’s overwhelming. everyone’s got their own opinions, their own “best methods,” their own rules. one person says scripting is a must, another says it’s a waste of time. one person swears by affirmations, another says visualization is the only way. and before you know it, you’re sitting there questioning everything you thought you knew, wondering if you’ll ever get it “right.” spoiler alert: you already know how to shift. you don’t need a thousand voices telling you what to do. in fact, the more you listen to them, the harder it becomes to hear yourself.
take a break. seriously. log off the apps. give yourself space to breathe and think. ask yourself: why do i want to shift? what’s stopping me? what feels right to me? no tiktok trend, youtube guide, or reddit post can answer those questions for you. only you can. and i know that sounds scary. we’ve been conditioned to think we need external validation for everything, but shifting is a deeply personal thing. you don’t need a step-by-step tutorial. you need to trust your instincts. that’s it.
and let me be clear: i’m not saying methods or subliminals are bad. they’re fine if they help you feel aligned. but they’re not what makes shifting happen. you are. methods are just tools. if you use them, great. if you don’t, that’s great too. because the truth is, shifting isn’t about doing things “right.” it’s about letting go of the idea that you need to.
so let me break it down for you. the only things you really need to shift are:
1. a desire. you have to want to go to your desired reality. no brainer, right?
2. belief. this is the big one. you have to trust it’s possible. no “what ifs,” no “but hows.” just trust.
3. persistence. if it doesn’t happen right away, that’s okay. don’t give up. if you’ve ever learned to ride a bike, you know that falling doesn’t mean you can’t do it—it just means you’re learning. shifting is the same.
that’s it. no fancy rituals, no endless research, no “perfect” conditions. the process is simple because it’s natural. you’ve probably done it before without even realizing it— the only reason it feels hard now is because you’ve convinced yourself it has to be.
stop making it harder than it needs to be. shifting isn’t this unattainable, mystical thing reserved for “chosen ones.” it’s something anyone can do. you can do it. your mom can do it. that anti-shifter lurking in every crevice of shiftblr could do it. you’ve always been capable. but you have to stop getting in your own way. stop doubting yourself. stop relying on others to tell you what’s possible. this is your journey. own it.

skin cycling - skin cycling is basically a skincare routine that alternates between using active ingredients and resting the skin. my skin cycling routine goes like this (exfoliate -> brighten -> hydrate) with rest days where i need them.
i've found this to work really really well for me so if ur looking to try something solid def give this a try! remember, everyone is different so feel free to tailor it to ur needs and experiment to find what works for YOU.
subliminals - SUBLIMINALS are the best! i have a subliminal playlist that i play at night and i wake up looking absolutely FLAWLESS. im linking it right here. ik theres a lot of misconceptions and misinformation about subliminals so lemme give u guys a quick rundown...💬🎀
✨ a subliminal is an audio of affirmations layered with music or rain sounds. so you'd hear the rain sounds, white noise, whale noises etc but the affirmations would play and soak into ur subconscious like a sponge.
✨ subliminal work because they impress new beliefs onto your subconscious, and with the law of assumption, your reality shifts to match those beliefs. also because whatever u assume to be true is true so if u assume they work then they do and thats that.
✨ to make a subliminal work u dont have to do anything but assume. assume that it works. if ur listening to a subliminal and it says anything like "drink water to see results, only listen twice!" or anything like that u can just disregard it cuz thats bs.
"MY BODY IS SO TEAAA" ;
🌟 i workout about 3-4 times a week but on days that i dont work out i still stay active. staying active by going for a walk, jump roping, dancing or running and stretching.
🌟 my everyday workout routine ALWAYS starts by stretching. i'll either do a flexibility stretch or a mobility stretch in the morning and a stretch to relieve pain in my back before bed.
🌟 literally every workout that i do is from youtube, youtube WORKS, youtube is TEA. some days i'll do one long pilates workout and some days i'll target each part of my body with an individual workout. honestly it all depends on what i do and dont have time for.
"I HAVE HAIR TO MY ASS" ;
💕 scalp care is SO neglected and it's arguably one of the most important things to take care of. i oil my hair maybe 1-2x a week with rosemary, jamaican black castor oil, and peppermint. i’ll warm it up a little, massage it in with my fingertips (or that cute lil scalp massager thingy), and then slick it back in a loose ponytail with love.
💕 i sleep with a satin bonnet or pillowcase every night. no excuses. even if i’m tired. even if i’m sad. even if i’m sleeping over somewhere and feel awkward. i will protect the inches.
💕 also brush ur hair! its so important to increase blood flow therefore promote growth. i feel like such a princess every time i brush my hair before bed, and im so METICULOUS with this shit its really amazing.
"EVERYTHING IN MY LIFE IS PERFECT" ;
i try to meditate every singe day to kind of ground myself and just immerse myself in the end and it's great! since im not a very visual girlie i just talk to myself while i do this. even if im not consciously manifesting anything at the time just going inward and having a conversation (idk if this makes me sound crazy but it feels nice)
to ensure that everything in my life is perfect i always make sure i have an agenda for the day cuz im a very type A kind of girl so i like to know exactly what im doing when. i have goals to accomplish and things to do! so my time management is very top tier with my agenda. to keep myself on track i implement little things like :
👛 screen free mornings - i WILL get distracted and i'd just rather not
👛 social media detox every other week - lately tiktok has just been a cesspool of brain rot (and when i say brain rot im not referring to tung tung tung sahur) im referring to incessant bad news and im just NOT into that so i take a break for my mental health every other week. and i try to minimize the time i spend on social media platforms in general
"IM SO TALENTED" ;
i take my passions, and talents SO seriously. im a singer so i practice singing everyday. i'd also say im a rly multi-passionate person. i manage my girl blog, my magazine, i play piano, tennis, and i feel like im always working on a project! so i make sure to pour into myself in all aspects of my life, especially as a perfectionist. i wanna make sure every one of my passions has been poured into.

How I entered the void so easily after 1 year of trying
So after 1 year and half of trying to enter I finally did it and I am so mad because it REALLY IS SOOOOO EASY and tbh if in this post you are looking for any sort of validation or info you smart ass already know then please REMEMBER THIS : entering the void is extremely easy. You just have to do it in a way that resonates with you.
Personally for me since I had adhd I couldn’t just stay still and affirm for 1 or even a few for 10 mins. Not just because I was lazy but because just repeating “I am in the void” for so long gets me tired and makes me think of the void more and you actually don’t want to think too deeep about it. I couldn’t wake 3 hours prior and then affirm or even have the patience to do the psych k, yes I was extremely lazy back then and unpresistent but one thing that helped me even backed then was THE ALPHA STATE MEDITATION !
You just have to find what works for you, find a method technique whatever you want to do that doesn’t seem like a chore. So In a post back then I found on @gorgeouslypink acc talking about doing the alpha sate meditation and I tried it back then and I felt really relaxed and it was a good feeling but like I said back then I was realllly lazy so after a few mins I stopped. Then many months later passed and I was still looking for anything and everything on the void. Then just like two days ago I came across another post which was pretty simple and the technique I used was called the DISTRACTED TECHNIQUE.
All there was to do was the usual you get into a comfortable position and then she said to use the alpha state meditation and used the one gorgeouslypink recommended. So I used it and then what she tell you to do is to just think of anything else just get distracted basically and this WAS SO GOOD 4 ME because back then I had adhd so it made it harder to concentrate on just affirming and so yeah I just thought of random things and then at some point where I was completely distracted I felt my body like lift up 😭 if that makes sense I just can’t clearly describe it. It felt really like a shift and I was like ‘panicking’ in a way but I wasn’t actually panicking I just kinda became aware what was going and then I got scared a little but I just relaxed shortly after. Also my fan that was making like a loud noises was coming in an out and then I only hear it in one ear and then I didn’t hear anything and I just stayed there wondering if I reached the void and i actually was!!! I didn’t feel my body it felt like I had no body at all and it was pitch black just like how I imagined the void to be. For a few minutes I just stayed there feeling the most surreal peace I have ever felt. I needed that peace fr 💀.
So then I affirmed for my desires all I said was “I have all my desired results from my subliminal playlist.” Then just to be extra sure I just said “I have everything I want.”
At that point I got really excited and then I wiggled my toes to get out because I was too dam happy I needed to see all my shit the moment I wake up and then I slowly started getting out and when I tell you I cried for like a good dam minute when I woke up and saw how DIFFERENT. My room looked. I literally screamed onto my pillow. I was so dam scare and yet excited to see how I looked.

Never actually meeting my ex and all the people in my old school forget me and have actually never even met me. Like if u asked them about me they have never heard or known me before

Even if the circumstances seem to be eating you alive don’t mind that too much. Even if all seems hopeless don’t give up because you already know nothing can decide or be unless you give it power to be. So stop being goofy and take responsibility and DONT STRESS!! You don’t see God stressing do you. All he has to do is blink and whatever he wants to happen, happens. Shut Your Brain Up When It Won’t Stop Screaming “BUT HOW??”
Alright, listen up. If your brain is acting like an annoying little know-it-all, constantly throwing logic at you when you’re manifesting, it’s time to put it in its place. You didn’t sign up for a debate club—you signed up to get what the hell you want.
Your logical mind? It’s a product of conditioning, fear, and societal programming that taught you to “be realistic” and “follow the rules.” But guess what? The rules don’t apply to you anymore. You’re in a whole different league now.
Recognize That Your Brain is Just a Parrot, Not a God
Your brain doesn’t actually KNOW anything. It just repeats what it’s been fed. So when it’s throwing “BUT HOW???” at you, it’s just parroting all the limiting beliefs society, school, and your overcautious family shoved into it. That’s not wisdom, that’s just noise.
Think about it when you order food online, do you sit there panicking, wondering how the app will physically get the food to you? Do you question whether the delivery guy exists? No. You just trust it’s coming. So why the fuck would your manifestation be any different?
Talk to Your Brain Like a five year old
When your mind starts running its mouth, treat it like a kid throwing a tantrum in a grocery store. Stay unbothered. You don’t negotiate, you don’t explain yourself you just shut it down.
Brain: "But how can this even happen? It doesn't make sense!"
You: "Oh, that’s cute. Shut up."
Brain: "But what if it doesn’t work?"
You: "What if it does? Now sit down."
Stop feeding your doubts like a stray cat. The more attention you give them, the more they keep coming back.
Make the Universe Your Problem-Solver
Your job is not to figure out the “how.” Your job is to decide what you want and assume it’s yours. The universe is the one with the infinite intelligence, quantum physics, and divine connections to make it happen. So why the hell are you trying to micromanage it?
If you placed an order at a five-star restaurant, would you go into the kitchen and start yelling at the chef, demanding to know how they’re going to cook your meal? No. You’d sit your pretty little self down and wait for your food to arrive. That’s the energy you need to have with your manifestations.
Brainwash Yourself, But in a smart Way
Your brain has been programmed to doubt, so now you’re gonna reprogram it to believe. Every time doubt creeps in, flood your mind with affirmations, subliminals, and reminders of your power.
"Everything I desire is already mine." "The how is not my business." "My manifestations are inevitable." "Shut up, brain, we’re getting rich."
Listen to people who GET IT, not those who are stuck in the cycle of disbelief. Watch success stories, read about people who manifested insane things, and let that be your new reality.
Keep Manifesting Like a Delusional CEO
You think billionaires sit around questioning if their next million is gonna come? No. They assume it’s already theirs. You think people in love question whether their person loves them back? No. They just know.

I ALMOST SHIFTED - (SUCCESS STORY)
hello everyone!
my heart is still racing as i type this, but i just got the closest i’ve ever been to shifting completely. while awake! i think! so here’s what i did…
1) i laid down and listened to music.
this was the first way i was going to shift simply because i didn’t want to fall asleep, and i wanted to feel my surroundings change. this caused me to hyperfocus on the 3d, and then i got frustrated. so i gave up.
after that, i laid on my side and got on my phone LOL. i opened tumblr bc i saw that emma / @hrrtshape posted, and i was curious about it. it was a choose a pile post, and it was focused on your shifting/manifesting journey. i’ll link it here.
the pile i chose was the cake! and i don’t specifically remember what the blurb said, but it did motivate me to lay down and try again just cause. so i did!
2) i laid down (again) and listened to my shifting sub playlist.
i specifically listened to a void state subliminal (you can find that in my most recent ask! i’ll link that here) and laid on my side. my main focus this time was on my breathing. i let go of everything happening around me, any and all distractions both in my mind and outside my body. i also incorporated emma’s anti method into this as well!
at first, i just thought it was going to be the same as last time. but i kept at it! soon enough, i had moved on from simply being in my cr.
i’m not sure when the transition happened, but i was in a dream of some sort. i’m pretty sure i was me in my obx dr, and i was walking around a bedroom trying to plug in a record player. i was listening to my favorite dungeons and dragons podcast, and i remember humming / singing a specific part of dancing through life from wicked…
then i realized i was dreaming, even though i was awake. i know i didn’t shift fully at that point because while it did feel real, it felt almost like a lucid dream. but i knew i was awake because i could hear my breathing in the background of the dream.
once i realized i was “dreaming”, i thought to myself…
“am i in the void state?”
and considering how i couldn’t feel my body at all, couldn’t sense anything apart from the scene happening in front of me, and i knew i was still awake…i answered that question with a yes.
suddenly, the dream starts fading away. almost as if i was waking up. but instead of becoming aware of any reality, i was surrounded by nothingness.
so, i affirmed one time that i was in my outer banks dr.
before this, the subliminal i was listening to was the only thing i could focus on, but then that went away. it made this loud screeching sound, though i think that was because i leaned on my headphones too hard (happens when the noise cancelling feature is on, which it was).
then i hear wind blowing around my ears like i’m in the middle of a tornado, getting swept up off my feet and whisked away to another place.
i could still hear myself breathing, and i could hear how my breathing picked up out of panic. i knew what was happening, of course, but my ears are sensitive. the wind went away and came back, then it came back even louder, and i realized i wanted to get out.
it took a second, but i moved away, and suddenly i was back here. sitting like nothing just happened.
so fucking surreal dude. i can’t wait to do it again!
but it didn’t take much for me to get there, and it didn’t take much for me to almost shift the last time this exact thing happened.
sighhh i’m so close. we’re so close friends. we’re so close!!

I have been involved in the shifting community since november 2024 and throughout the months I noticed a constant issue in many of the people both on here and on tiktok that haven't been able to shift, even after trying for years.
I want to comment on the issue because I've seen how many shifters (me included) have a tendency to go through phases with shifting. First it's coming up with a dr idea and spending hours excitedly scripting and making pinterest boards. Then it's daydreaming about the dr. Finally, It's time to actually try and shift there, right?
And you try for the first time. You spend a whole hour laying down in an awfully uncomfortable position on your back, listening to subliminals on your earphones while you try to ignore your family's annoying noises from the living room. But you try anyway. You get tingles and maybe even feel your surroundings starting to change, or whatever that means. Something changes.
And you wait, and you wait, wait for something to happen. Like, come on, I've been sitting here for an hour, my legs are numb, so why am I not there yet? Still, nothing happens and you can still hear your brother yelling from his room while he plays fortnite.
So eventually, you get frustrated, curse at the universe for doing this to you, and go to sleep because "maybe if I set intention, I'll shift". But you don't.
And the next day you wake up wanting to cry, and you say "whatever, I'll try again tonight." So you do, and it's the same as yesterday. And the days go by, and desperation is starting to take over. Because you just want to shift and others are doing it on their first try and why can't I?
Eventually this loop of trial and error is just straight up error. So you continue reading through tumblr posts, and keep saving tiktoks on "shifting tips" and "motivation" which in reality are all saying the same exact thing, just worded differently. And you script for hours. And you daydream for hours. But when it's the time of truth, which is actually shifting, you can't bother doing it for more than 5 minutes because, what's the point?
And that's the issue. You're spending your whole life planning on shifting and dreaming about shifting and crying about shifting and EVERYTHING is shifting. You're treating it like it's this fanfiction. But are you shifting? Actually, actively shifting? I feel like many of the people who can't shift don't realise how real it is. By trying for 10 minutes every day and giving up each time you're just telling your mind "This is how it's supposed to be". "This is our normal".
I hate to say this, but my biggest advice is to take a break. Seriously, take. a. break. Forget about your dr for a little while. Even if it's just for a week. Do some self care, PRACTICE MEDITATION WITHOUT THE INTENTION TO SHIFT during it! Seriously, gosh I beg you guys, meditate for the sake of relaxing and learning about yourself in different meditative states. Read about manifesting (ahem, ahem, Joe Dispenza), watch videos, go learn, research, whatever. You need to realise that life, consciousness and shifting don't make sense. And they don't have to. There's so many things left to explain but you need to let go of your rational mind when shifting.
I'm sure you always hear about letting go. I never understood what that meant until I shifted. And it's real advice, let go. It's also a bit of a problematic phrase, because trying to "let go" probably does the opposite, because you start obsessing over wether you're correctly letting go or not. Sigh. What I mean by letting go is, stop looking for evidence that you shifted. Stop looking for evidence that you're close to shifting. YOU ALREADY HAVE! And stop trying to shift if you know that you're going to give up after 5 minutes because "nothing is happening".
Shifting doesn't make sense. And it doesn't have to for you to shift.

🎀Things I’ve learned about Shifting 🎀
1. Background noise doesn’t matter. I come from a Hispanic family household and let me tell you hun it’s freaking loud as hell. It’s like a zoo lol but guess what? I still shifted. At some point you will start to feel your CR kinda “fade away”. I have been in this state where I am in between my CR and DR. I can hear background noise from my CR but I still feel like I’m in a different room or I hear sounds from my DR as well. Has anyone experienced this?? Let me know, I’m curious 🤨
2. Have patience. Allow yourself to relax and naturally connect to your DR. Don’t stress about having random thoughts or having an itch or things like that. Have patience with yourself like seriously you got this babe. Sometimes for me it’s feels like it’s takes 1 or 2 hours until I feel fully connected to my DR. (It’s different for everyone btw) you may take less time than I do. Those things don’t matter if you decide that those things don’t matter.
3. Methods really aren’t needed. If you think about it all methods consist of the same thing usually. It usually consists of affirmations, visualization, subliminal audios, meditation, counting, blah blah blah. If you want to use a method, then do that but don’t force yourself to do a method that doesn’t resonate with you. If you don’t like counting, then don’t count. If you don’t like visualizing, then don’t visualize. Change things up a bit and listen to music that reminds you of your DR or do something that you think is fun.
4. Just because some people like to lie about their shifting experiences doesn’t mean that shifting is fake. Just like in every community there is going to be people that are dishonest or don’t have the best intentions but that doesn’t mean that shifting is a big inside joke. Don’t allow these people to discourage you from shifting to your DR or make you doubt in its existence. Don’t depend on other people's content to feel motivated or believe in shifting. Just KNOW it’s real and motivate yourself to shift. (even though motivation isn’t needed to shift)
5. Shifting is Real. I think we all should know this by now, but I don’t think people really fully understand just how REAL shifting is. I mean you are going to be able to use all of your senses. You will be able to taste food, see your reflection in the mirror, talk to people that may be considered as fictional in this reality, etc. The process of shifting is safe but if you are shifting somewhere that has violence or gore make sure you script your own well-being. High pain tolerance, no trauma, etc.
6. Time isn't important. Just because it's been 4 years or 5 doesn't mean you can't do it. Time doesn't apply to shifting because time is just man-made thing. We created the concept of time not the Universe. Don't blame the Universe for your "Failure". (Spoiler alert: it's not failure) You just need to realize that no matter what, it will happen. It is completely inevitable. Some people have shifted after 5 years so don't give up! It will be worth it.
7. You can't fail at shifting. When you do your method, you will shift to your DR or shift to your CR. You shift all the time. We are constantly shifting consciously or unconsciously. Manifestation and shifting are very much closely related. (But that's another discussion for another time) Just like how we are manifesting on autopilot we are also shifting on autopilot. So, when you do a sleep method, and you wake up in this reality instead of your DR you still shifted. (Just not to your DR) (Get it?)
