Pegasus is the only spirit who is more dangerous in his human form than in his own. Spirits can't physically die, so he does not hold back when Griffin pisses him off.

Pegasus could basically kill anything in 1 hit, which is unprecedented, and doesn't really check out either. Very few spirits can do things no other spirit can explain or replicate; this happens when one gains some specific insight into reality's nature. Most spirits don't develop any ability like this, largely because most of them are not nearly as obsessed with anything.

i will never forgive totk for giving us 5 minutes of zelda being excited and confident about her actual interests right at the start only to yank her away for the rest of the game and into the scared puppy eyed little maiden role standing uncomfortably besides the cool new guy™️

i was more emotionally invested trying to get a chicken out of a well than i was with totks story or new characters (if you take the yiga out of the equation)

I suppose for an obvious answer to start, Reginald would be a porcupine instead of a pufferfish. Not quite poisonous but very spiky!

I have once pondered before what Mary and Reginald would be as land animals, and I think Mary miiiiight be a black bear? Helps keep her bigness factor and also her scarycuteness.

The other three are a bit harder, I think...

There's a breed of fish called the Sea Raven, but I don't know if that really hits Crowven...maybe a black betta fish?

Twyla might be a piranha? Got that orange coloring and just as vicious

Vasilis is a bit hard too, since their species is more fantastical. Maybe something like a fantastical jellyfish....especially with if they glow!

Actually, I feel like... Ganon(dorf) doesn't kidnap Zelda that often? He certainly has his moments of holding her hostage temporarily/wanting to sacrifice her in gnarly rituals/putting her in the crystal (just for one week man!!!), but I feel like a lot of Zelda games are not about Zelda being in a "kidnapped" state. She might be stuck in a stone (or swallowing one) or something, or confined to a castle due to her country being invaded/warding off an evil force, but I feel like "kidnapped" is pretty infrequent as far as their interactions go, and it doesn't last that long when it does happen. Like it's rarely your motive to go adventuring, at worst it's the final incentive to raise the stakes in the final act, but she isn't being held by the bad guy that frequently

The difference between wind waker and most other Loz games is that the hero has always lived the world that has to die. Most Zelda games are about new worlds, new beginnings, new chapters.

In skyward, they create Hyrule together. They leave behind the sky and the clouds. In the ruined timeline, they start rebuilding. They leave behind the ruins and the violence and the hunting of the hero.

Botw is closer to wind waker in the sense that they leave a world behind, start a new one. But botw has a tenderness, a care for the world 100 years ago that wind waker doesn’t lack, per se, but differs. Botw link did live in that world once.

But wind waker. There’s a reverence for the old world, a respect, but not a relevance. The old world is not embedded and entwined with the new like in botw.

The castle under the ocean, unveiled at long last. See it with a milky haze, a frozen air, a tone of voice that demands respect.

Link stands under the statue of his predecessor and has to feel small, lesser, weaker.

He has to feel that smallness more and more each time an elder compares him to the hero of time. He has to feel the pressure to be great as he was, to live up to his name, to be the Hero of Time Reborn.

Am I making sense. Do you understand.

I’m saying all of this crap about angsty, angry goodbyes, but wind waker is also about hope.

Also about the worlds that spread after the death, about a young hero that loves to smile, to laugh, to help people and get in trouble and play silly games like sploosh-kaboom.

He dosent have to feel small at the end. Tetra doesn’t have to wear the dress, doesn’t have to sit in the time-out cube. They can be silly and happy, they can make their own story.

i think i know how you feel about this one. but ganon having the power to kill tetra the whole time and saying that it is his objective but he doesnt do it makes me so sick in the head

literally turned into an animal five times and shredded my skin and started to walk on all fours

cause no it drives me nuts its drives me sooooo nuts cause after his whole speech he beats Link up right? and he says he doesn't want to kill him and just wants his piece of the triforce and succeeds so right? and then he fails and it breaks him and he has one final battle with Link and Zelda........he knew from the beginning he wasn't going to win he's just putting up a show as a last ditch effort BUT EVEN THAT when Zelda joins the fight and is shooting arrows at him he flies to her mind you Ganondorf is wielding both of his swords....

he puts back his swords and just "pushes" her away....he could've killed her but then again there was no point on killing her...just like the first time he just wanted the triforce, but even then she had no triforce piece at this point either

what drives me more nuts is everything before the final fight where Zelda is nicely tucked into a bed and Ganondorf is talking about her dreams. Everything about Tetra/Zelda and Ganondorf drives me up a wall in a good way, every other Zelda and Ganondorf iteration Ganondorf never acts this way as far as I remember. OoT Ganondorf sealed her in a crystal, TP Ganondorf uses Zelda as a puppet, TotK Ganondorf........................... and with Wind Waker he never seals her like in OoT, never controls her like in TP, he captures her....and he doesn't really do much further then that. Like she's not held back in some barrier you can tell in the final fight she's there ready to fight along with Link.

Like what did Ganondorf see in Tetra/Zelda? Did he see himself? Did he see a child who never knew that she was destined to wield a piece of the triforce? Did he reflect on his actions....what
