Sorry for the lack of art lately, I’ve been fixated on finishing up this fic and look, we’re finally at the home stretch!

Chapter Summary:

The weeks leading up to Maximus' sixteenth birthday are more eventful than Achilles anticipates.

Achilles sighs longingly, “I can’t believe he’s going to be sixteen in a few months. It seems like just yesterday we were holding him in our arms for the first time and now…”

“Now I’m quite certain he could lift us both over his shoulders,” Patroclus chuckles, “He’s quite strong for his age,”

“It’s all that time spent on Pelion,” Achilles smiles, then quite sadly he says, “I wish he could’ve stayed that little forever,”

“I know, my love… But there is so much joy in watching him grow isn’t there? He’s turned out so well,”

“He has. He takes after you so much,”

“Does he? The last time I checked, he was just as stubborn as you,”

“I am not stubborn, I just like things to be done a certain way,” Achilles tells him.

“Oh, so that is what we’re calling it now. Right,” Patroclus chuckles.
