Good rundown!

To clarify, in the original comics, Metamoor (or sometimes, "the Metaworld") was the world and Meridian was the capital, but in the cartoon, Meridian was the world.

Okay so, WITCH is an American (?) Magical Girl series, I get that much, but what is it actually about?

I've never watched it, even though I've heard about it enough times to recognize the name.

So it's actually originally Italian!

Anyway!

We have a team of five girls. Will, Irma, Taranee, Cornelia and Hay Lin. They're told they're the Guardians of the Veil and are given a magic artifact called the Heart of Kandrakar, which allows them to do their magical girl transformations. Will is the Keeper of the Heart, while the other four get Elemental powers.

What exactly Kandrakar is and what they're Guardians of is... a little vague at times. But essentially Kandrakar is an In between world watching over interactions of other worlds.

And, of course, there are various evil forces that are trying to do evil shit.

Summary of the two seasons with some mild spoilers!

Season 1, the Villain is Prince Phobos. Current ruler of another world. /Technically/ the 'world' is called Metamoor while the capital city is Meridian, but they're used somewhat interchangably and considering later things I'm going with Meridian.

Anyway!

There's some fuckery regarding rightful rulers and Magic nonsense. So when Phobos' newborn sister was born with said Magic, he decided to just kill his parents and her and take the power for himself. A few rebels managed to save his sister and take her to Earth.

13-ish years later, Phobos is looking to find his sister to take her powers and eventually take over other Worlds.

Our protagonists are of course just discovering their powers and being dragged into this. And are trying to both fight off his attempts to infiltrate Earth, and figure out where his sister is.

They eventually find out that the sister happens to be a friend of theirs, Elyon Brown.

Phobos is actually.... kinda really good at manipulation. He plays the 'oh so concerned' brother, telling Elyon that she was kidnapped by the rebels and he's spent all this time trying to get her back. That she's the Rightful Queen and that he's going to help her make their homeworld great again once she takes the throne. It's actually effective in turning Elyon against her adoptive parents and her friends, thinking them the villains.

Of course, eventually, the protagonists and the rebels are able to save Elyon, make her realize that Phobos is just trying to steal her Magic, and kick his ass. Elyon takes her place as Queen.

On to Season 2!

Season 2's Villain is Nerissa.

Nerissa was part of the previous generation of Guardians of the Veil (along with Hay Lin's grandmother). She eventually went mad with power, and even killed one of her teammates. She was supposed to be imprisoned, but escaped roughly 20 years ago.

Nerissa's plans have to do with the 'Hearts' of different worlds. Basically every World has some kind of magical Heart to it, a sort of energy source that is tied to its existence.

Obviously the Guardians have the Heart of Kandrakar. Elyon herself is the Heart of Meridian(which is why she's the rightful Queen instead of Phobos). Other worlds have their own Hearts as well.

Stealing these gives Nerissa more and more power.

Fanart asks are open!

I know I'll regret this but I did it last year and it was fun - also, I'd like to practice a bit more with traditional art soooo... here we go, the ask box is open for fanart requests!

But there are some rules!

What's this: these are not commissions. I do this for practicing, in my free time (which is not much), and for free, so if I don't want to do a request or I don't have time or it takes me ages, don't take it personally

How does it work: go to my ask box, and shoot a character you'd like me to draw in my style! You can also send a screencap or a panel of a comic if you would like me to redraw exactly that one

Only one character (no couples)! This round, I won't do more than one character per drawing as I'd rather focus on portraits and not on couples. Also, I won't do NSFW.

Fandoms: my preferred one is W.I.T.C.H. so if you send me an ask for one of these characters there's a higher chance I'll do it; of course I'd be thrilled to draw any of my own OCs as well, if you know them; but I'm also happy to draw anyone from Disney classics (higher chance I'll do it if it's a villain, but anyone is fine), Lord of the rings, Sailor Moon, Once upon a time, A court of thorns and roses and Star Wars

I hope you'll find a character to send me in one of these fandoms (and that I'll have the time to actually honor my plan of doing this and practicing a bit...)

i got the heart of kandrakar form w.i.t.c.h. for my latest birthday and through the whole year it helped to leave the awkward stage of "i want/need to talk to you more but where the fuck do i start" ESPECIALLY at work, cause as soon as they say "omg is that w.i.t.c.h. necklace?" we spent at least half an hour talking about our childhood interests

Preliminary interest check

I was thinking about creating a zine about W.i.t.c.h so i want to make a little interest check.

Zine would be focused on elements. Zine would be divided into sections water, air, fire, earth, quintessence. Each contributor would be assigned to one of the elements. So zine would be focused on W.i.t.c.h but i would also like to focus some attention on former guardians C.H.Y.K.N.

Zine would be sfw, can contain ships, relationship between witch, their family and so on.

Zine would be digital and free to download or with an optional donation.

It this gain some interest, i will take on this project. If not that okay, maybe in the future.
