I’ve had a wild thought.

You know how the duck was missing from the Federation video where they were explaining the Cucurucho cookies? This is a crazy theory, but after Purgatory and the Eye being ElQuackity, I wonder if the duck is Quackity-like, it’s a similar thing.

Like. Think about it.

We know that Quackity is in hell or limbo or whatever and there’s that theory floating around about how he’s in a coma (the constant beating we’ve heard in the background of his streams is totally a heart monitor) and I just- the thought hit me and wouldn’t leave me alone.

There’s too much of a coincidence for me with Quackity possibly being in a coma and the Federation duck being absent at the same time. Quackity is the duck and I don’t know how to feel about it.

Chainsaw Man has always been about power and control and a guy who has been stripped of his childhood and teenage years to then be constantly used and manipulated, forced to become hypersexual after being groomed and sexually assaulted, and losing the one bit of normalcy there's left in him.

Denji has no control over both his body and decisions and instantly becomes a vessel of what he thinks will fix him, the very same thing Asa is to Yoru, who keeps demanding war and respect and power and she knows what to do to make Denji lose his humanity.

The relationship between Denji and Asa is so genuine and human that using that against both of their wills is incredibly violating and dehumanizing. And that's why it is so good. And that's why it needs to be explicit. And that's why I am extremely surprised people are grossed out by this happening when dehumanizing and taking control of the lives of others is exactly what War would do.

I just finished the 4.2 Archon Quest and i can't help but continue to be suspicious of Zhongli for being the only version of him to ever exists in Teyvat.

There are the nameless Bard and Venti.

There are Makoto and Ei.

There are Rukkhadevata and Nahida.

and now Focalors and Furina.

Every Archon has some kind of Double or Doppelganger, or simply a Mirrorself - someone who LOOKS and acts like the first or tries to live the former dreams, goals and ideals. They aren't the only one with their face, there were at some point two of them in Teyvat (As if they were twins, but only one remained...well, in case of makoto and ei that's literally what happend but you get it) There already once was someobody conscious with the Face the current Archon wears.

Except for Zhongli. He is the only one with a face that belongs just to him. There is no counterpart or mirror, no friend or sibling, he didnt split himself into two, his face is unique and yet he is also the only one who keeps it hidden in every cutscene...

so what was the one other thing it did right before going for that french brunch? calling for ajax. getting them reunited in the primordial sea. like all the possible implications aside bc theres many different ways to speculate on the exact reasons why and the nature of that link. the point remains.

I have been having Stranger Things thoughts and I honestly think I might explode if I don't talk about it just a little.

So uh potential spoilers for season 5 after the break

(it's potential because I have no proof of any of this It was just a thing that popped into my head T_T)

So in season 1; we have Will getting kidnapped/gets stuck in the upsidedown.

In season 2; Will gets possessed. (And we get introduced to dart but idk if that could come up again. )

In season 3; yes we get a possessed Billy but we also get the flesh monster thing (and I guess the whole russian plot but I am gonna be honest I don't really understand what is going on there so I am ignoring it)

And finally in season 4: We have the whole Vecna curse.

I think it would be fun if in season 5 if the party has to face all of these at the same time. I think it would be a good full circle moment. Also they kinda like to bring back old concepts in the Stranger Things all the time so it makes sense that they might do it.

For example, we have been seeing a bunch of Holly pictures, so we know she is going to be at least more important than she has been. Which got me thinking that maybe she gets taken to the upsidedown like Will did in season 1. Which I am more on board with than her just getting killed

I am not completely convinced about the whole; Will is gonna get possessed again theory, that has been talked about. I do think that it is very plausible if this is what they plan on doing for season 5. But it could just as easily be any party members being possessed.

We might get more flesh monster, (yay..) but the mind flare could also just be its shadowy self and I think it would work just as well. I would of course add the clump of mushed together meet just so the connection to it is obvious but we also have more obvious examples before this I don't think it's strictly necessary.

Then of course, the Vecna's curse. I know this might be a bit of a hot topic, I do have thoughts on who (Mike wheeler) Vecna will target but I will leave that for a different post. I do think that it would be a waste to introduce Vecna's curse and then not utilise it in the final season, but I have heard the argument about how it might feel like repetitive story telling (which I don't think Stranger things avoids doing) but I can agree that this could be the case. I think it is likely that it won't be exactly the same. Because we have seen the whole main character Trauma reflected back at them plot. But if Stranger things Season 5 main conflict is a combination of all of the previous conflicts than I think it is fine. And again I think it's a very powerful tool and they shouldn't shy away from using it just because we have seen it before. Idk

I was talking about all of these with my siblings and they pointed out how there are the og four (Mike, Lucas, Dustin, Will), the four gate ways, the four seasons and then the four main conflicts.(There is probably more I am just not smart enough to think of it.) but maybe that is evidence in my favour for this. Idk.

I watched The Amazing Digital Circus’ pilot.

… and through my time looking at theories on character designs and meanings, I’ve noticed one particular point that nobody brings up!

Pomni is transported into the Circus resembling a jester. Many feel that this either reflects a hidden component to her personality, a role she’s destined to play, or a hint as to what she was viewed as before (perhaps not taken seriously or treated as a joke by her coworkers, as evidence is shown in the office introduction clip).

Many point out that a jester is known as an entertainer, a jokester, and a trickster. But there’s another side to this symbolism: what is another name for a Jester?

A fool.

Pomni is the fool in the digital circus, constantly searching for an exit only to be denied. She asks questions anbout how she got here and nothing gets answered. She tries convincing herself that she’s dreaming, only to instantly be denied that comfort. Her confusion and potential to descend into madness is not only entertaining to the ringleader, but to us, the audience.

Fools are usually seen as being not very bright in the eyes of the higher power they are entertaining. But fools also have the ability to directly insult that higher power and get away with it under the guise of a joke. This may be a hint as to how her and Caine’s dynamic will play out. Pomni can search for an exit under the guise of an entertaining bit or adventure, and Caine will allow it to some extent, as long as she never actually gets close to finding it.

Fools are seen in another familiar place: the major arcana in a tarot deck. Upright they represent a new beginning, hope, spontaneous behavior, adventure and innocence. Reversed they represent risk taking, as well as being naive or gullible. And I think these two meanings fit Pomni to a T. Her appearance and mention of seeing an exit will bring hope to the other circus members and start them on a great an epic quest to save themselves. But her rushing into things and naivety on how simple escape will be may sabotage her plans.
