genuinely think we should have mandated computer literacy classes. it's genuinely fucking terrifying how many of my peers (gen z. who should be the tech, heneration, RIGHT??) don't know BASIC tech skills. This may be controversial but I think every single person should learn basic tech & Internet skills and etiquette. Everybody should know how to set up and access an email account. Everybody should know how to do library research. Everybody should know the basic principles of how computers work and basic tech terms. I am dead serious it scares me how my peers, who according to the world, should know everything about computers, don't even know how the difference between a browser and a search engine. They don't know how the technology they use works. They don't know how to troubleshoot if they have tech issues. They laugh it off and joke about it but it is genuinely bad, and it's not their fault. The system- adults assuming they should just know these things and schools not properly teaching tech literacy- have failed them. And I think this needs to be addressed and fixed

Cultural Capital #1: Intro + The Basics
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
One of the biggest privileges I had growing up was access to cultural capital. My parents were expat teachers, which meant that we had access to a lifestyle well above what we would've had if we had stayed in Australia. I got to travel, meet people from various cultures, go to private school, and I subconsciously absorbed that lifestyle as an expectation. This has given me a huge advantage, and since I don't believe in gatekeeping, here's how you can gain some of that knowledge.
0. A note
Some of these are things I strongly disagree with, but this is the way it is. One shouldn't have to change oneself to get ahead, but we often do. This is just a list of western upper-middle class cultural signifiers, and my listing them out doesn't diminish your own culture if it is different from this. Your own cultural capital is just as valuable as what I'm going to share. But we do live in a world where you can get benefits from knowing the dominant culture's valued information, so this is a guide to hacking that system.
1. What is cultural capital?
When people move to a certain place, be it a neighbourhood or a workplace, they need to understand the language, references, and customs of the people around them, otherwise they might be treated negatively. This is cultural capital. Your ability to fit in with the dominant class and culture can benefit you in work and social situations. Your education, who you know, how you speak and dress, which cultural references you make and understand, etc. are all class signifiers, and contribute to cultural capital.
2. Free ways to gain cultural capital
Confidence and vibe. I'm not the best at this, and there are plenty of resources out there for learning it that would probably be better than me. What I will say is that people can tell when you're used to settling for less, and that lowers your cultural capital in these spaces.
Go to a library or Google for research. Topics to research include: major religious stories and Greco-Roman myths, art and music history - especially from the 16th-19th centuries, different cultures and global geography, common idioms and expressions in French/Latin, jargon for your field as well as those of art/dance/music/business, fancy brand names (Quick, is a Ferragamo a shoe or a car?)
Read literary fiction and non fiction. Making references to classic novels shows rich people that you're well read, which in their minds translates to education and therefore intelligence (which isn't true but you know). It's also a shared experience, which gives you something to talk about. Use Libby for free audiobooks, and your local library for print books.
Expanding your vocabulary and speaking with care. The more you can articulate yourself, the more likely people will be to listen to you.
Going to public museums or galleries (if they have them where you live). They're almost always free, and are a great way to spend a weekend.
Watching videos, reading scripts, or listening to recordings of theatrical performances. These can be pretty easily found on the internet and give you material to reference when talking someone up.
Study philosophy. If you want something accessible and fun, watch The Good Place. Philosophy Tube makes excellent, thought provoking videos for free, and I'm sure there's more out there. Expanding your thought process and recognising the literature out there about 'deep' topics can help you not only seem smarter, but actually be smarter.
Learning to eat politely in multiple cultures. What do you eat with your hands vs a fork vs chopsticks? For western cuisine, you should know which fork to use, how to pour wine, what you do with your napkin, etc.
General etiquette. Handshakes, when and how to hold a door, you get the gist.
3. Ways that cost money
Cook something from a different culture every [week/month]. Expanding your palate and becoming familiar with things outside of your immediate circle will make you more 'cultured' in the eyes of people who care about that.
Special exhibitions and paid museums and galleries. Sometimes, a museum will cost money, and if it's interesting and within your budget, it's well worth it. Museums are an engaging way to learn more about history and culture, which will give you knowledge you could benefit from having.
Going to the theatre. Seeing a play, musical, opera, or ballet, especially if it references mythology or is iconic in its own right, can expand your views on universal themes like love, life, death, and revenge. It's also just really fun. You don't have to spend a huge amount either; see what's available in your area.
Dressing professionally. This means having a baseline knowledge on clothing terms and what fits you well, buying well made clothes that will outlast trends, and keeping them well maintained. Tailoring should be considered if it's in your budget; nobody likes an ill fitting suit. Some tips: second hand shops are a good place to start, avoid fast fashion, and remember that a 20 year old Chanel piece has more cultural capital than a brand new H&M piece.
Grooming. Smelling good, looking put together, and having good hygiene will help you immensely. A perfume that suits you is well worth the money, but don't be afraid of dupes if it's not in your budget.
Travelling. This is by far the most expensive thing on this list, but having those new experiences will completely change your viewpoint in a way that other people can recognise.
4. Signifiers that take a long time/effort
Accents. This matters more in some places than in others, but being able to fake a 'posher' accent gets you privilege in certain contexts. My school taught us only in RP English, but the social circles were run by the US military families, so I have a more neutral accent by default. I can also switch between the two, which gives me an advantage here in Australia, where proximity to an RP accent signifies wealth.
Learning a language. Knowing English automatically gives you a ton of cultural capital, since that's the lingua franca for most fields nowadays. But if English is your first language, knowing more than one means education. The unfortunate double standard is that if English is your second language, you need a third to be considered educated, usually a European language.
Straight teeth. This one is up to luck for some people, but having straight teeth usually means you have the money to straighten them. It also takes years and hurts. In my opinion, it's only worth it if your teeth are causing medical problems in your life, in which case you might as well straighten them while you're at it.
Getting a specialised degree in something. Don't worry about seeming silly (arts, humanities) or cold (business, sciences) when choosing a degree. Someone will be weird about it no matter what you pick, so pick one you like.
---
Remember, this is specifically for fitting in with the culture I grew up in and around (rich people). There is nothing wrong with the way you are now. This is just for people who are considering adapting to an environment where behaving like this allows for social mobility.

U18 proshipper here, so I fall under the main issue in the discourse around children.
People my age have no fucking excuse to not show basic respect and decency to other people. We should and do know better and some of us do! Like, ffs, I could understand basic etiquette when I got on the internet at 11 (I should not have been on the internet at 11). I know our brains aren’t fully developed, but that doesn’t mean we’re allowed to be a dickhead for no reason. If we are, it’s okay to call us out on it. I’d hope that most of us understand that we are immature and make sure to try and be kind and learn from our mistakes, but even if we don’t it’s STILL OKAY.
And that helps me get onto my other point - internet safety. I knew this kid once who showed photos of her face and said publicly that she was 12 on social media (against ToS. I have also been 12 on social media, but I wasn’t naïve enough to share that fact!).
I’m still grateful for being as responsible as I was when I was really young. If I wasn’t, I would have been susceptible to a lot of danger (I didn’t share my face, my real (first OR last name) or my age, among many other things). Of course, I still don’t do this. I see little kids, literally that age, sharing all these things.
Kids need to be taught better internet safety. There’s still a lot of very real danger on the internet, and we need to protect them from it as best we can. I’m not blaming the kids who do this, to be clear - they don’t know better. But it still stands that they need to learn to be more secure on the internet.

We are in the bad timeline. They’re concerned about a woman shipping her self insert with Percy in like Titan’s Curse.
Direct quotes from the comments: “literally she is pushing 20 like and doing that like whatt” “While we’re on the topic y’all know that one Jercy artist who does nothing but s*xualize them???” “Anyone who makes MHA content of the class 1A students who has 18+ in their bio” “It makes me uncomfortable when people make an oc that’s basically a self insert just so they can write smut with teenagers 🚶‍♀️‍➡️🚶‍♀️‍➡️esp teenagers from a children’s book”
Honey this is nothing new. They’re concerned are fictional characters. I highly doubt that they are getting off on the fact it’s teenagers. They just want to be in the story that is set when the characters are that age. Yes there’s sexual content. This is the internet.
Note the first comment I quoted. “Pushing 20” so 18 or 19. While in real life you should be careful about dating age gaps around that time. 18 and 19 year olds aren’t that much different than a 17 year old.
We need to kick out the normies who joined fandom in the pandemic. Or else they need to learn some damn etiquette.

i can't believe i'm breaking my "no direct engagement" rule for *this* reason but i have to admit, it feels necessary.
i've been in various fandoms throughout the years, from small ones to big ones, from friedly to toxic, but not a single one has managed to baffle me with the amount of childishness, selfishness, and temper tantrums as the slederverse fandom. i mean it genuinely, what the fuck is up with this place?
i've only started getting into the fandom about 3 years ago, and from the start i've been *blasted* with absolute buffoonery. and i came here from a long stay in the creepypasta fandom, a lot more anime fandoms known for being chock-full of drama, and a bunch of other online places that are just a fucking *pain* to engage with.
but lately i've been following drama a bit more closely, and recently it's become a bit personal. one thing i noticed, especially with the EMH fandom, is that y'all really, *really* hate not being right. and i mean *hate*.
are headcanons really bothering people *this* much? does all that warrant shittalking, harrassment, dogpiling, or whatever immature stunt people like to pull? did we just collectively forget what the essence of a *fandom* is, playing pretend? community? sound familiar?
i refused to engage with the fandom up until now because i've seen how people get treated for simply having an interpretation. how is that fair? how is that a community? i've seen people get run off, shat on, etc simply for stating opinions. for daring to be themselves.
i've seen unnecessary drama, harrassment, parasocial asshats, and i just don't know where to even start. fandom as a concept has lost its meaning in the general sense, but i haven't seen a fandom be less of a fandom than here.
a lot of people online need to learn some basics in internet etiquette, which also seems to be lost somewhere in the ether between all the infighting, but the cardinal rule of fandom is and has always been "don't like? don't engage". as well as *respecting people's opinions*, because there's no commuity without it.
don't know if i'll be posting anything ever again, especially like this, but i think people need to hear the opinions of people who prefer to operate behind the scenes. i know for a fact i am not alone in feeling like this, but even if i'm proven wrong idc. i'm putting my opinion out because i am part of a community and want to keep being here despite everything, because after all i still share the same love for the media as every one of you. but *jesus christ*.

8/20/2009 Wheel Spin: Sburb Lore Verdict: Literally The Sburb Lore Handbook :D
8/21/2009 Wheel Spin: Long Pesterlog Verdict: Dave WISHES John Would Pester Him Back
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^ I have SO much love for this sequence on p.514-517, where John is unresponsive due to being controlled by the Wayward Vagabond, but the environment around him keeps changing due to Rose’s powers. It definitely enhances the reading experience to first do a full read of the pages, and then to just flick through and look at the images in sequence – it really highlights the visual gags and parallels like the one here.
We get out fourth GameFAQs entry on p.510, following our fourth ‘Years in the future…’ and it looks like a small page, but actually has fifteen images all accompanied with Rose’s commentary. She basically puts a bunch of images of John, along with his full name and his dead/resurrected grandmother, on the internet without their permission, which is questionable, but her insights definitely leave me with a lot to think about.
The house remaining powered by electricity and internet (images: ‘power,’ ‘internet’) makes complete sense to me. They’re inside the Medium, the medium of Sburb being ‘online multiplayer video game,’ and that medium requiring both electricity to power gaming devices, and internet to maintain a connection with the co-player, to operate. It’s not a kindness that the game gives to players, it’s literally necessary for the game to run, as we’ve already seen a few times with Rose.
That fact only makes Rose’s called shot about hackers (‘internet’) even more threatening. Disrupting the internet connection could disrupt the apparatus of the entire game, cutting Rose and John off from one another more permanently and potentially stopping Dave or the fourth player from joining the game. Sburb as a game is already dangerous enough, so navigating that and the outside threat of hackers at the same time could make for an intense, fast paced story and be a great direction for the comic.
And with these Wayward Vagabond/GameFAQs pages always kept together, it raises the question: is the Vagabond a hacker? A hacker in the popular definition is somebody who gains unauthorized access to computer systems – to gain information, to spread a virus, or perhaps to influence the outcome of a game. Found covered by sand in the middle of a dormant wasteland, this bunker, and its accompanying computer system, doesn’t look like somewhere the Vagabond is supposed to be. They’ve already put John in danger by taking away his mental faculties and making him susceptible to imp attacks. If they can sever John’s connection with Rose while still controlling him, he’ll be in a lot of danger. And while the Vagabond seems silly for now in their quest for a can opener and their trial-and-error commands on p.253, they’re clearly a quick learner, having picked up the standards of human etiquette reasonably well very quickly. It’s not out of the question that they could be learning to hack the game – and could perhaps be a villain of the story.
Rose’s other big called shot is that she can’t see John’s dad’s room because John has never been in there (‘hmm’). I buy this theory – the only other explanation I can think of is that the room needs to be ‘unlocked’ in game and won’t be accessible to either player until John reaches a high enough level, perhaps because it contains clues to Dad’s whereabouts. That’s the less sinister explanation. Rose’s idea is more sinister, because it again reinforces how Sburb isn’t just connected to/able to see John’s physical location, it’s able to see inside his mind and respond to that. I genuinely think that with a different tone and art style, this could easily be a horror story.
Rose quotes Nikolai Gogol’s Dead Souls (‘steeds’) to describe John’s pogo antics, which despite its goth title, is not a horror novel but is instead about a man trying to commit tax fraud. It’s a famous 19th century Russian novel that was left unfinished when Gogol burned a large part of his own manuscript, but remains famous and widely regarded as a work of satire. I’m fifty fifty on whether Rose googled ‘quotes about horses’ and picked the smartest sounding one to caption her screencap of her friend spraying shaving cream while bopping an imp on the head, or if a ten year old Rose used to curl up on that giant living room couch and read Russian literature while listening to the waterfall flowing below. Both options are very funny to me. I am almost buying into Rose’s mysterious persona. (And then she puts a crumpled hat on John’s head and I remember that she is also a big dork).
I have been mean to Rose at times but she is really carrying the team right now, and doing an incredible job multitasking killing imps with furniture, building onto John’s house, and updating her walkthrough for other players. I totally buy that she’s someone who just throws herself into what she’s doing to distract herself from the looming meteor threat. But I think she should do some research into building safety codes, because I’m not sure those ladders and platforms held up by chimneys are going to be stable long term, or safe for John to start climbing. I guess Rose was warned about stairs but nobody got around to warning her about ladders.

one of the things that social media training aims is -
Cultivating proper social media etiquette :- social media can make or break celebraties, especially today. With the help of media training, celebraties can learn how to properly engage with people on social media.
that's what a internet says. and if you're sharing content from fans that smh implies that you're endorsing content from said fan accounts. you might not think this way but many do and the Thousands of comments on that @/taekookupdate accounts do feel the same.
about the comment on @/chikoritajjk yes it was necessary and needed cause i have ignored their comment last time to my ask i sent to someone but everytime it can't be the solution right? and if you think my tone was wrong let me tell you chikoritajjk ain't a saint where they talk with "let's have discussion" kinda thing cause i do remember when i sent an ask to someone to which they replied their tone was "what the hell people think they're? do think they have right to do this that, why do they think so Highly of themselves blah blah" and in my whole ask i never once used any curse language or accusatory tone in my that ask but chikoritajjk decided to reply with that tone so i know better. i ignored them last time and even this time i didn't say anything bad to them. i also have all the rights to comment on people who replies to my ask as chikoritajjk did so yes it was needed. they would be surprised to know how many times they have agreed to my other asks i have sent to other people where they have commented with "agreee 💯" like many times and that was the reason i ignored their comment on one of my ask i sent to other blog thinking that everyone is not gonna agree with you every single time.
idt there's further discussion needed on this topic cause atleast I'm done with this. i believe what i believe and nothing is going to change that so I'm putting this at rest from my side. this will be my last reply that's it.
⚠️WARNING⚠️ : Heavy cynicism up ahead, proceed with caution!
Hello Anon & Everyone,
As promised, the following are my points to your ask, replied under your self-declared last post for this topic. So let’s go out with a bang shall we?
"why are you here if you think you're right" because i saw you saying that "Imagine if i have to check every acct i post from......" Thing where you directly indirectly said some people who think like this ain't gonna survive if jkk turned out to be not dating so i replied cause I'm a jkkr and no i don't think they're dating and i also do think tae should have double checked the acct before reposting.
I will admit, this part had me a little confused. How did I indirectly say anything? I clearly said, and I repeat, some people will not survive if jikook turns out to not be real. Some people, such as myself, won’t if JK & JM turn out to just be friends, because we love them regardless. Some people, such as whoever person in the world to whom this may apply, will have existential crisis if JK & JM turn out to not be lovers. How am I responsible for the fact that you decided to associate yourself with the second group? If you don’t relate, don’t retaliate … I’ll keep repeating this until it sinks. If you are part of the first group of some people and being disappointed in Tae, then be part of that, or any other combination. That’s why I said some, because obviously I didn’t mean all … not sure how else to explain this but I hope it makes sense.
Tumblr media
So i thought blogs are where you have discussions even when you're not agreeing to things so i did that but just got to know that you're supposed to block and scroll down.
… We’ve already discussed this part in my previous answer. If you want to discuss, let’s discuss. If you come out gun blazing, let’s have a shoot out yadda yadda yadda.
"the problem is is that the account is shipper account and no one's ready to have that conversation" for some people it might be like that but since you replied to my ask saying this let me clear this that i don't care if he's posting from shipper acct or any kind of acct my problem is that is anti and now unintentionally it got 42k around followers space where people belive he posted it after checking the acct so now they have all the rights to continue their hate.
You see … damn … you almost had a point, but you fumbled the ball. So it is not about the fact that they are a shipper, which is the only thing that Tae could have assumed scrolling “really quickly” on a picture app, because i mean if the page is called taekook and in the first couple of pictures is only JK and Tae, not in NSFW, one could also, at the very least, think that this is a Tae and JK biased account, cus, what type of picture screams ANTI!? The pinned post, the english one. You will agree with me that it would take more than 3 seconds for a non english speaker to figure that one out, right? So if he by chance just so happened to keep opening posts with english written letters, and he has only so much time in a day in the military and all he is just not going to interact with ARMY because SOME ARMY have made it so that this fandom at the moment is a trap after trap after trap? … OH BTW, IF I EVER GET THE APPROPRIATE TIME AGAIN, I’M COMING FOR SOME OF Y’ALL IN TWITTER ARMY! 😎… Because YES, once again, it could have been the page of someone very dangerous, all the likes we listed previously, BUT as you just admitted is not even/really/primarily that, it’s more the fact that this is a JM anti hence the perpetuation of JM’s hatred for lack of Media training, which should have thought each member how to avoid situations where they cause endorsed hatred (I’m assuming you mean that for every member by the way) those are not the words you chose, but I think I summaries it quite well, which brings us to our next point:
Tumblr media
Yes he's not responsible for what people think but he's responsible for what he posts. Media training is there for a reason if he had time to check his name tag I'm sure more 10 sec wouldn't have caused much problem. You said one scroll always don't tell you about the acct which i agree and i would have been fine again if those anti posts were down the page i would have assumed he didn't scroll that down and it's fine but ths posts are up there so in this case 10 sec would have been enough.
You know who has the most effective and I’d dare say perfect Media Training? According to your internet search: Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter. Don’t interact with anyone. Don’t go for interviews. Don’t stop for nobody. Just post pictures and keep it moving. But BTS is not like that is it? BTS loves interacting with ARMY, and ARMY loves interacting with BTS. It’s just how our fandom is right? As the fandom got bigger and deranged, some things had to change them leaving Twitter, for example … but no matter the threat, the hate, the dragging, they keep coming to us because it is not all of ARMY, it is SOME ARMY which can y’all even be called ARMY at this point?
Furthermore, not tryna throw JM under the bus but, wouldn’t you agree with me that every time that JM mentjons JK, he causes so much dragging, we’d get ot the core of planet Earth? Is JM endorsing himself being dragged? Or dragging JK at that, are we getting a 2 for 1 coupon? I mean, that letter he sent, according to your definition of media training was waaaay off the mark if you ask me. I’m I implying that JM doesn’t have the right to talk about whatever the fuck he wants, whenever the fuck he wants when it is something related to himself, even if it will MOST CERTAINLY cause dragging? Many of you out there don’t realise that VMIN are actually different sides of the same coin, or ying-yang, etc. You’d think by now some of y’all would have noticed, but …
AND DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED WITH IU’S!! HOW COULD SHE!!! In her new song, the one that is going to come out on the 24th you know? Love Wins All, is presently the craze of some tkk shippers because IU is wearing a lip ring, a black hoodie and seems to be very comfy with a camera; I mean ... JK much so then ... is Tae JM? (His outfit thus far seems to match with something JM would wear, so hey! YOU NEVER KNOW 🤡🤡🤡)? That’s what they are obviously adding dots to, because you know JK is the only to have ever wore a lip ring, with a hoodie while being interested in filming 🤡🤡🤡… Media Training classes had the lowest attendance in the history of SK if you ASK ME! … Students nowadays! Honestly, no respect! We should bring back hand smacking I tell you!
Tumblr media
I hate it when people thinks that just because we're pointing out something it's gotta have something to do with "shipping" when we don't care about it that's why i replied. That's all i wanted to clear although i do have things to say but it's waste of time so it's agree to disagree situation.
If that’s how you feel, you are free to feel however you want to feel. If I could suggest something though, you could really benefit with substituting ALL/WE with SOME/I cause who is we? Some of Twitter “ARMY” we? I’ll have you know that some of the people who were disappointed in Tae did not feel how you did and there was definitely no projection on their part, so just putting that out there. Also, start caring less about what people think, I believe BTS has had to embrace this particular thought process in order to be able to carry on. It can be difficult at times, and you’ll need lots of practice, but it can be done TRUST ME, or don’t! up to you.
Tumblr media
about the comment on @/chikoritajjk yes it was necessary and needed cause i have ignored their comment last time to my ask i sent to someone but everytime it can't be the solution right? and if you think my tone was wrong let me tell you chikoritajjk ain't a saint where they talk with "let's have discussion" kinda thing cause i do remember when i sent an ask to someone to which they replied their tone was "what the hell people think they're? do think they have right to do this that, why do they think so Highly of themselves blah blah" and in my whole ask i never once used any curse language or accusatory tone in my that ask but chikoritajjk decided to reply with that tone so i know better. i ignored them last time and even this time i didn't say anything bad to them. i also have all the rights to comment on people who replies to my ask as chikoritajjk did so yes it was needed. they would be surprised to know how many times they have agreed to my other asks i have sent to other people where they have commented with "agreee 💯" like many times and that was the reason i ignored their comment on one of my ask i sent to other blog thinking that everyone is not gonna agree with you every single time.
I don’t know what you wrote, but cursing isn’t the only grammatical structure which makes a sentence offensive, people have different triggers, unfortunately you can’t know what triggers people so that hard, but for example some people might find my post highly triggering with my use of cynicism, but at least I had a disclaimer 🤡. But anyways, what is this? Are you trying to have a ah-ha! moment with them because they happened to agree with something you said, while they disagreed with something else you said? Are two people meant to agree/disagree with the same thing all the time in order to get along/ not to be considered whatever it is you think they are...? I know you can’t be implying this, so I will not do you the dishonour and keep it moving.
Aaand it seems we’ve reached the end. Glad we’ve now finally put this topic behind us as per your decision. Keep supporting, and fighting for JM. I mean it. If what you, and some of y’all, have been doing thus far hasn’t been working, I’d maybe sit down and figure out other ways to get to the root of the issue reporting accounts and a less blaming/projecting type of approach in spreading awareness do the job they are meant to, it may not seem so, but they do as long as it is done. Fighting!
Tumblr media
Always respectfully yours,
Best regards,
Marengo.

I need to get this off my chest before I blow up at somebody
But I know I did not just fucking watch someone try to say a fictional incest ship is worse than several real-life people getting groomed. Are you fucking serious. You are so lucky your ass was on anon motherfucker I would've hard blocked and reported your snide ass
I don't give a shit which 'side' you're on. I don't care what you think about whatever drama of the week is going on. I know my ass, who has actively had to report CSEM photos to National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Cyber Tipline, did not just fucking watch you compare a disgusting ship, to actual teens being sexually coerced
I can't fucking believe you. We out here really prioritizing fictional characters over real breathing human beings
Get this, I am completely against pro shipping. I am just as repulsed by people looking at siblings or parents and deciding they should fuck for the silly dynamics of it as the next guy, it's fucking despicable. But I know I did not just your ass saying it's more harmful and creepy than your friend over there diddling real people almost half his age. Are you fcuking kidding me.
And, before you start assuming shit, I again am on 'no side'. I don't give a fuck about the entire situation outside of people once again, conveniently dragging the victims of the gore anons into more bullshit.
I am not blind to the fact none of this would've went down had a stalker not went digging for shit. No one would've known about the original doc a year ago had a suspected gore anon not stirred the pot after the callout post that got sent to the VAs. That was purposeful manipulation. No doubt about it. They wanted to pull up anything and everything on one of the few people that was trying to defend those that were getting harassed because of the big blogs. You'd have to be either really young, or really stupid to not've seen that bigger picture
I also don't fucking trust ANYONE that makes a callout / awareness post for ANY REASON. I don't care who you are. As a quotev veteran of 7 years, someone who watched their friend get dogpiled on by big blogs 3 years ago in the Sonic fandom bc how dare a minor be uncomfortable with public porn of minor characters on tumblr, seen kids purposely catfish adults in the MHA quotev fandom so they could frame them for pedophilia any time their advances were put to a stop, the entire Revie and Jasper situation in the FNF vs Sonic.exe corner of twitter where one adult was partially framed once again by a kid that couldn't handle being told no, meanwhile the other had legit CP on their computer come to find out and was the Actual danger in the fandom
So imagine my reaction of trying to escape to the fnafsb fandom and to tsams. Here 👏 we 👏 fucking 👏 go 👏 again. It's like everyone was born yesterday and baby spanking new to the Internet. How has No One learned the consequences of their actions. Adults included btw, just as childish if not worse than the teens that haven't learn basic internet etiquette. What the fuck is your excuse you're in your 20s, how is your media literacy This low mf. Smh
All I can say is thank God I've decided to grow and mature as a person. And by that, coming to the conclusion that everything is ultimately ✨none of my fucking business✨
Bc guess what, it ain't. Just bc people airing out the dirty laundry does not mean I need to get involved and throw myself to the drama wolves. Sometimes, I don't need to have an opinion. Sometimes, if I do have an opinion, I know to keep it to myself unless I'm asked for it by my therapist or friends (and not anons guys I am begging you to not get baited by trolls please for the love of all things holy. Assume good faith in strangers, but never in anons. They use innocent questions all the time to pull a gotcha)
Ultimately? All sides are guilty of some level of shit, end of discussion. 1) I already had beef with with the whole 'ur pd is showing' on a personal level. I will never forgive for that. In no scenario with strangers is that ever fucking okay. 2) I ain't gonna let the little fibs slide. I've seen the screenshots in the newest doc, I've compared the posts. A liar is a liar. 3) I personally don't like nor trust em. Didn't originally, definitely don't now. But again I acknowledge that's a personal decision. 4) I did not fucking like seeing people stalk the gore anon victims once again just so they can dig up scraps to support their persecution of their past abuser. 5) I am in no way denying the abuse they did infact go through. It was horrible to see, and I can only empathize with my own trauma from abusive relationships. 6) I am also however acknowledging that trying to drive them off of social media is not a realistic solution and is infact anti-recovery. So some of you are infact a hypocrite for wanting to abolish prisons and then pulling This kind of shit. Revenge is not justice. 7) if you wanna cut someone out of your life, you have to stop talking about them and 'looking out for their potential victims' or you're just going to feed the flames of drama. Be the bigger person and put down the stick if you're tired of the burn. This goes for everyone btw. 8) for the record I would not be Nearly as on the fence as I am rn if it weren't for [redacted] having learned this behavior from also being a victim of somebody else. It is incredibly common for those that have been groomed and/or abused in the past to then continue to seek out those same types of relationships. Especially if they never learned the why or how said relationships were fucked up in the first place.
9) it is no one's place to decide if other people are allowed to give someone a second or third chance to be a better person. Idgaf if they're a victim or not. You do not have the right to dictate who talks to who. That is red flag toxic yaoi shit my dear friend. I, do not agree with a few of my mutuals chosing to befriend or forgive them. But I also know it is not my fucking place to tell them to do different. It is not my place to control who is with who for whatever reason. I don't like it, I don't agree with it, but I ain't gonna start shit talking left and right, throwing my opinions all about, and force them to do as I do.
This is where the maturity clarity thing comes in btw. I don't like it. I have a bad feeling about it. I don't agree with these decisions my mutuals have made. But you know what? ✨It's none of my fucking business✨ and I mean it. That means, after I'm done venting here I'm dropping the topic. That means, just bc I don't like them that I'm gonna start bad mouthing to my mutuals about their friend. You don't go to your bestie and shit talk about their boyfriend right to them, that's messed up af. And this is no different
Also, sidenote, fuck all y'all for using stranger's posts on the internet to drag someone else's name through the mud and reposting them to a doc without consent. Which Did happen to me with the big blogs vs confessions btw. I am still, very much not okay about that and I can't believe that's happening to other ppl too but for a different call-out.
but fucking, trying to compare a fictional ship and saying it's worse than people who got groomed?
You are on razor thin fucking ice. Pull your head out of your ass, shut up, and sit the hell down before you spout any more stupid shit for the love of God. That about pisses me off more than anything right now I'm so livid. And I've been silently seething with rage since August so that's not to be taken lightly
----
[P.S. thank you to mod for being a place ppl can go to, idk what I would've done since I don't have therapy till next week. Sorry if I don't make any sense whatsoever btw, I am tired, it is 1 am, and my bpd ass is extremely emotional rn with no viable outlet except here. I am aware that reality is not what it seems past midnight as I am prone to delusion, so I'm genuinely not allowed to *talk* talk to ppl this late at night for everyone's well being, including myself. So again: thank you. Hope you're doing well, in spite of everything going on. Drinking water, petting cats, monching bread, etc, and letting the small things in life into your heart to spread wonder. Have a good night]

I was too scared to add these thoughts to the post i saw (bc i suffer enough my illness and its stigmatization to be further attacked by people being righteous in an ignorant way, feels like it would be walking into the lion's den asking to be targeted 😔) but Honestly I hate AI art as much as the next artist, but I noticed how toxic the anti-AI art space has all gotten.
People have been (what i can only hope is fake) threatening detailed and quite specific violence and stalking in tags and notes of some of the posts, against anyone who broke their rules just made due to Tumblr's fuck up.
Which isn't our fault bc some of us are actually not born in the 00s with AI on the scene and have been making "mistakes" since the dawn of Tumblr around 2009 when we were just teens and had no idea of this unforeseen consequence of simply wanting to share and credit other artists' work. I was thinking kinda "any publicity is good publicity", "art is made to be shared" and even reposted my own stuff to WeHeartIt back in the day to boost my traffic.
Tumblr didn't used to be so text-heavy and discourse-heavy it was free and light and fun, home of the artist and art-lover alike. No-one (well, many) meant any harm, wanted to celebrate and bookmark fellow artist. We wanted so much art we traversed websites for more.
The rampant ripping off of artists for AI is definitely a new thing, and it's completely fucked up. No-one was prepared for this, and the laws around it need a lot of work to protect us.
So maybe I am learning reposting is not ok (another etiquette i should have known but apparently didn't - I thought it was ok because I made every effort to credit profusely and I and I wouldn't have minded people reposting my art with credit if it helped traffic, but apparently it's not). But like I am disabled and don't possess the spoons and mental capacity to correct/take down every post. I did that spring-cleaning like once back in 2016 and I ended up in psychosis. I will correct what I can but understand I am struggling day today to keep up with basic tasks. I am barely awake most of the day. I am only ever living off adrenaline and fake energy from coffee. I am just one of the many mentally ill not to mention abuse victims/survivors.
Don't threaten violence to random people on the internet you don't know what they've been through. Most of us know you're joking (i hope you are tho i even saw tags saying not joking) but some won't and it is kinda ableist/saneist don't be this openly hostile to strangers
Tumblr is supposed to be like the one even moderately safe space we have to just exist as ourselves and y'all are making it scary being violent to us in our space heavily populated by traumatized and isolated people (like psychotics), a demographic already quite vulnerable to and with past traumas of violence and who already suffer with "delusions" thinking the world is out to get us. Don't make those delusions real
I say this as an autistic schizospec fellow artist, don't be so quick to bully people for making mistakes they can't easily undo and they are already suffering
i get that you're mad but stop it you are being mad at the wrong people. Be mad at the bastard corporations not your fellow person/s
Lets not make the internet any more hostile to struggling folks than it already is, that's icky
Many schizospec and mentally ill are struggling artists ourselves, we are some of the most deeply passionate, authentic and purposeful artists around. And we know more than any about being exploited. Our image is stolen constantly and misrepresented to further marginalize us. Please be more considerate
I know someone eventually gonna say annoying things like "it's not that deep, don't be so triggered it's not FOR you. Stop policing our language/freedom of expression BLA BLA BLA" But people literally threatened violence at thousands of people they don't know in a space heavily populated by communities vulnerable to and traumatized by violence, stigma and delusions of being targeted etc and I'm calling people out for it

online quran classes in usa: Learning the Quran in the Digital Age
The demand for online quran classes in usa has grown rapidly in recent years. As Muslim communities continue to expand across the United States, more families are seeking flexible, high-quality Islamic education that fits into their modern lifestyles. Whether for children, teenagers, or adults, learning the Quran online has become an accessible and effective way to connect with Islamic teachings.
In this article, we will explore the benefits, structure, and options for taking online Quran classes in USA, and why they have become a popular choice for Muslim families across the country.
The Rise of Online Quran Learning in the USA
Traditionally, learning the Quran involved attending a local mosque or Islamic center. However, with the increasing use of digital technology and busy schedules, this model no longer suits everyone. Families now seek alternatives that offer both convenience and quality — and that's where online quran classes in usa come in.
These classes are designed to accommodate the unique needs of Muslims living in the U.S., providing structured Quranic education with qualified teachers, all accessible from the comfort of home.
Benefits of Online Quran Classes in USA
1. Flexible Scheduling
One of the main reasons families choose online Quran classes in USA is flexibility. Parents and students can schedule sessions at times that fit their daily routine — before or after school, in the evening, or even on weekends.
2. Certified and Native Arabic Teachers
Many online Quran schools provide access to male and female teachers who are certified in Tajweed (Quranic pronunciation) and Islamic studies. These instructors are often fluent in English, making communication easier for students in the U.S.
3. One-on-One Attention
Most online Quran platforms offer personalized, one-on-one instruction. This allows students to progress at their own pace and receive full attention from their teacher, which is especially helpful for children or new learners.
4. Safe Learning Environment
For families that prefer female teachers for daughters, or who live far from Islamic centers, online learning provides a safe and controlled environment. Parents can supervise lessons and stay involved in their child's learning process.
5. Access from Anywhere in the USA
Whether you're in a major city like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, or in a smaller town, online Quran classes in USA allow anyone with an internet connection to access quality Quranic education.
What Do Online Quran Classes Typically Include?
A good online Quran class is structured to help students gradually master the skills needed for correct Quran recitation and understanding. Here are some of the topics usually covered:
Noorani Qaida: An introductory book for learning Arabic letters and pronunciation.
Basic Arabic Reading: Understanding how to read and join letters into words.
Tajweed Rules: Learning how to pronounce each letter and word according to Quranic standards.
Surah Memorization: Students begin memorizing short chapters of the Quran.
Translation and Tafseer: Older students or adults may also learn the meaning of verses.
Islamic Etiquette and Duas: Many programs include additional content about prayer, manners, and daily duas.

I've been on this website and broader fandom sites since I was 12 and I am 19 so I might genuinely make a Tumblr orientation post with lessons in general fandom etiquette and ao3 here because I know at least some of the people following me are either new here or incredibly young and that's ok! 10,000 people learn something new every day and it is a blessing to be one of them and I can't expect people to know without telling them!!!
it's just INFURIATING because I think twitter needs it the most or like idk y'all are pretty good most days but the wider fandom and like twitter especially need it the most... but Lord knows id get my address posted trying to teach them about YKINMKATO, Ship And Let Ship, and basic ass things like don't like don't read .... like we clown on the fanfic.net era sayings but like. there's a reason they were there. now we have people going into lemonade stands getting mad there's lemons there <- unintentional pun
idk I just feel like I should put. all my internet knowledge. to use. somehow 🤔

You all get enough credit and attention with people who even bother looking at your compiled fan wikia page. That woman's uploaded video view count is minute compared to yours. Leave her alone and stop trying to get others involved. This is the internet, you are not entitled to anything.
You seem to miss the point of things and are trying to move the goalpost of things to defend the creator even after insulting/putting us down, her actions of hiding commentary or those who helped her hiding comments as well and making off comments that others are crazy and need mental help. And you seem to think that you're justified in bullying, gaslighting, intimidating or insulting others even after the creator and those who helped her did these actions after we simply asked for credit to what we've done or to what they've taken.
It's basic etiquette to credit your sources. They even teach you that in school when making research papers. Another video creator made sure to put all his links to credit every source he went to, that took basic etiquette and consideration.
Unlike what you claim, we're not getting credit or attention or else there would be more who would say something or ask the video creator to credit us properly like a decent person would do. Doing three years of research is still hard work, or creating analyzations or theories is still hard work or someone's work. Not crediting that is indecent and hiding that you're taking the work is also indecent.
And if we're such a pain to look at, then it seems like she bothered to look as well. In that case, you would be insulting her too for bothering to look at us. You also say that since this is the internet that we're not entitled to anything, then that would be towards anyone else as well. She's not entitled to our efforts or entitled to take our work, analyzations and theories. If she simply just gave credit instead of putting us down even after taking our content, then these posts wouldn't have existed. All she had to do was add our link or name. Simple as that.
Learn some basic etiquette and how to be a decent human instead of making anonymous insults to others while hiding behind an anonymous front.

Preparing Future Generations for a Tech-Driven World: Why Digital Literacy Matters
In an age where technology reigns supreme, preparing future generations for a tech-driven world has become paramount. The Significance Of Digital Literacy cannot be overstated, as it forms the bedrock upon which the success and adaptability of these generations will rest.
Digital literacy extends far beyond the surface-level understanding of gadgets and interfaces. It entails a comprehensive grasp of the digital landscape, encompassing the ability to navigate complex software, analyze data, and discern credible online information. This skill set will empower individuals to thrive in an era where Digital Fluency is synonymous with opportunity.
Tumblr media
With the rapid advancement of automation and artificial intelligence, it is estimated that up to 85 million jobs could be displaced by 2025. However, this unsettling statistic comes with a silver lining – an array of new, tech-centric roles will emerge, driving demand for digitally adept professionals.
Digital literacy not only opens doors to Future Careers but also fuels innovation. Consider the case of a teenager who developed a ground-breaking mobile app to connect farmers directly with consumers, eliminating middlemen and increasing profits. This exemplifies how digital literacy nurtures innovative thinking and encourages proactive problem-solving.
Tumblr media
Imagine a world where every child can Code. With digital literacy integrated into education, this vision is attainable. From coding basics to website design, students gain insights into the building blocks of technology, enabling them to interact with and shape the digital universe.
A poignant fact is that while 60% of all new jobs require skills possessed by only 20% of the workforce, fostering digital literacy can help bridge this gap. Future generations of technologically competent people will pave the way for Economic Advancement by fostering innovation and propelling societies into the digital era.
Yet, Comprehensive digital literacy is a journey that requires collaboration. It requires a collaborative effort between parents, educators, and policymakers. By imparting digital skills early on, parents set their children on a path to success in an increasingly digital society. Equally pivotal is the role of educators, who must embrace Technology as a tool for interactive learning, ensuring that students develop the digital competence they need.
Tumblr media
Did you know that 70% of internet users globally are active Social Media users? This statistic highlights the inescapable presence of the digital realm in our lives. Navigating this space safely and critically is a vital aspect of digital literacy. By understanding online privacy, cyber threats, and digital etiquette, individuals can safeguard themselves and contribute to a responsible digital community.
Digital literacy is essential to prepare future generations for a world driven by technology. This transformative skill set gives people the ability to take opportunities, adapt to changing environments, and participate in a technologically advanced society.
As we embrace the digital era, let us collectively invest in nurturing digital literacy – a beacon guiding us toward a prosperous future. "Digital literacy is the bridge to the future. It empowers people to create, understand, and navigate the digital world, and to responsibly and critically engage with technology for the betterment of themselves and society." - Melinda Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
