Literally shut up. How about she does that ANY OTHER TIME! We were all excited to see Cait and Vi get it on but the set up is awful, im so sorry what the actual.

It’s just so blatantly out of character for Vi. Her sister needs her, she’s there. Vi knew what Jinx was going to do and she was distraught but then just switched?? Because it wasn’t really Vi making that decision it was Amanda and Alex.

I got spoiled about the Ekko and Jinx scene and my first thought was. What did they do to Vi? Why did Vi leave Jinx’s side? She would know what she’s thinking. Did Jinx get away from her somehow? Yes… about that.

Vi choosing something for herself would have been a crucial part of her arc and a necessary part but certainly don’t do that when Jinx has made it clear to both Vi and the audience that she’s going to hurt herself.

I’m not mad at Vi because she would never but I am upset that was the set up they went for. It’s ok to like the caitvi bit (I guess…) but just don’t try to defend the set up, for both of our sanities.

I always wondered why Katniss factored marriage and children into the equation when it came to reciprocating Peeta’s feelings for her. It’s a rather large leap, especially when Peeta himself never expresses wanting children at any point in the story. He uses children as a tool to persuade Katniss and the Capital to save her life, but the only time we see him express any desire/feelings of having one of his own is when he’s crying after the baby bomb. But we never hear his real thoughts.

But you wanna know who does express wanting children? Gale.

It’s one of the first thing he mentions in chapter one. And it pisses her off so much.

(I also want to add that Gale reframes/establishes the dynamic of Katniss and him caring for their siblings from something that is sibling-sibling to parent-sibling. And he is not wrong. Katniss doesn’t refute him. Both Katniss and Gale are surrogate parents to their siblings. Which is also why Katniss love and affection of Prim, is not just sisterly. I’ve seen people say Katniss is only sisterly to Prim- but she’s not. She’s parentified their relationship to the point she subconsciously see Prim as her child, which makes this a tragedy because she’ll loose her first child no matter what she does by the end of the story.)

But Gale’s phrasing here elevates himself as a potential suitor to Katniss by placing them both as the parental roles to these children. (Which irritates her a lot ). Which is why she brings the topic up with her relationship with Peeta. Because she’s subconsciously aware of Gale’s efforts and knows it will be a point of contention between them. It hangs over her head in a way.

With Gale, children are extra mouths to feed. (But Gale will do fine. He can work. He can hunt.) It’s all framed with calculated survival in mind. But it’s also not something she had planned in the future at any point.

But Peeta’s children? Oh they deserve to be born because Peeta deserves to be a father. He would be such a good father. They deserve to exist in a world where they can be safe and happy. (Even if it’s not with her.)

This is also why I think she subconsciously sees Peeta’s baby as her own. And I don’t think of it as a cruel/heartless thing, it’s just you’d be more protective of your own child compared to someone else’s. Katniss sees Gale as a reliable person who’s equipped to look after a kid. She doesn’t express the same kind of maternal instinct/yearning for the Baby Hawthrone’s safety as she does with the idea of Baby Mellark, because she doesn’t think of Gale’s child as her own. She never hopes for a better future for them, but she does with Peeta because he and that baby gives her hope. And she loves him that much.

I can't remember where I saw it, I think it was Clayface from Batman, but I distinctly remember seeing a show where a person was drowned with clay/mud/dough. It was shoved down their throat in a torrent and the choking sounds they made were awful. They didn't do anything over the top like explode they just... drowned. Horribly.

Wonderful, absolutely wonderful stuff (genuine!!!) That definitely sounds like Clayface, he was ruthless in the animated shows. Everyone on here is so lucky I am incapable of drawing things that are genuinely scary or threatening or intimidating (trust me TwT I’ve tried) because the angst I could draw OOOGH just imagining it

When Doey goes on that killing spree after Bella and Lucas die it is ruthless, genuinely ruthless. He is desperate to feel in control, to feel powerful, and to make these people cower and be scared in the way he has both felt and seen his friends feel. Violent thoughts and dreams are normal for everyone, but they lived in an environment of violence which used violence to keep people in line, the killing barely even feels real as he is doing it.

It doesn’t make him feel better, he can’t even hold the remains of his friends without sullying them with blood. In the time he spent rampaging the lower levels have been properly locked down (these measures break down pretty quickly with no one to maintain them, but it is the reason Doey never made a run for it before Safe Haven was established) and he entirely squandered any chance to escape. He couldn’t even live for his friends who died because he was too busy crushing everything in sight. He didn’t try and keep doors open for toys to escape out of, didn’t help other smaller toys who were suffering the same fate as Bella and Lucas during the chaos, didn’t even consider the kids just a level up, the ones who hadn’t been hurt like they he had.

But also like. daemon au where every secunit automatically comes with a minimum of one (1) drone, and at least one drone is essential to functioning. why? folks don’t know, maybe it’s storage or something. If units have multiple it’s usually as decoys for the important one

anyway obviously this drone is a daemon by another name. they don’t change shape partially bc they don’t know they can, partially bc the gov module will zap em dead if they change

It is making me think that after murderbot goes on the run it discovers its beloved drone has like. Idk. Multiple settings? Little spider drone that can skitter. Little lizard drone that can stick to walls. It can even do things like, lil cat drone that can claw up someone’s face real good (:

The Ginny and Georgia fandom can often feel representative of the real world, specifically how certain parent/child relationships end up with the excusing of a parent's sacrifices being hung over the child's head, but never really allowing the child themselves to have their own problems because of it, otherwise they're being "ungrateful". And this rhetoric continuously shines through with how some Georgia fans talk about Ginny. They constantly belittle her and her problems (especially her self harm), call her dramatic for wanting answers from her mother, but never call out Georgia for overstepping Ginny's boundaries and reading her private diary, defending it by saying "Well, she partakes in reckless behavior and she keeps secrets too." Who do you think she learned it from? Like these specific fans will find ways to defend every act Georgia does under the guise of it being a "sacrifice", but can't even do the same for Ginny, a teenager who spent most of her life being uprooted before she could even make a place her home? Who had to deal with her parents' financial struggles (which caused her to be bullied mind you) on top of their tumultuous relationship?

It's also not lost on me how, during that episode where Georgia came to Ginny's therapy session, in which the whole point was to address why Ginny is the way she is, these particular fans sought every opportunity they could to villainize, not only, Ginny but her therapist as well. Especially when the therapist brought up how Georgia, as a white woman, might not be able to fully understand the struggles that her, biracial, daughter might experience/go through (like, what made her think dressing up as Scarlett O'Hara would not sit some type of way with Ginny?). Again, this session was to help Ginny, but these fans, not only, dismiss the very valid racial conversation taking place but fed into Georgia making the situation about herself. This is a big reason why I don't take people seriously when they say that they hate Ginny and criticize everything she does, but love Georgia and are ready to defend everything she does.

btw I really do genuinely want mel and santos to hook up soooooo bad. I don’t think they should date (frankly I don’t think either of them could handle that and they’d be too aware of that to try I think) but like. one night where they both make what they think is an out of character bad decision (ooc for santos bc she usually goes for women more willing to bully her) and have alarmingly enjoyable sex that they agree to never speak of again afterwards. santos goes into it kinda trying to piss mel off for fun but mel ends up being very earnestly invested in making sure santos is having a good time, and it turns out they’re the kind of hookup partners you can kinda laugh with during sex, and overall it’s just. nice??? to the point that it’s honestly worse than if it sucked ass (at least then nobody would’ve been emotionally vulnerable!! much less embarrassing). santos is resigned to having another weird ex fling at her workplace but they actually end up being sort of friends after this and they’re both still kinda unsure how to feel about it.
