“well now, it was the championship game my senior year.  The feeling on the field was... almost indescribable. It was a home game. The cheering form the crowd--you know, that was the biggest turn out we’d had all year, all four years in fact.  My school wasn’t much one for school pride, but the weather was a perfect autumn day and this was the first time in... it must have been at least a decade, since any of our sports teams got to any sort  of level, let alone championships. So everyone showed up. And you could feel it out on the field during warms up.  Everyone was there, they showed up, and they cared. And then that feeling carried into the game as well. The coach gave an amazing speech right out of some movie.  Talking about how its all or nothing and that this is was our tea dumping moment-- he was our US history teacher, everything was always like some other even with him-- but you know? this time we felt it.  We weren’t going to be the ones getting tarred and feathered out there. We were gonna make them regret that they every thought they could get away with trying to block our harbors, that they ever thought they could steal our trophy.
“The game itself was... well, it was. The first half was nothing short of a small massacre. 0-3 them.  By half time it felt like rain should start falling.  The crowd had... they had some energy, but not nearly as much.  the designated cheering squad stayed strong, but only just, you could hear them growing softer.  This time the captains gave a speech.  You know Jesse? They were one of the captains and by god did they try and give a hell raising speech: ‘Play smart, they’re fast, but they have no technicality, no foot work.  WE DO.  Go out there and kick some ass’ and all that. And you know what? We did.  We brought it right back up and 20 minutes into the second half we had scored 2 goals back on them.  Like the real pro’s we were all hoping to be.  The one I hoped to become.  It came down to the final 10 minutes of the game.  We were all tied up at 4-4, it was going to be next goal wins.  I was put in forward.  the whistle blew and they started the ball from half and as soon as they passed we were all on them, working smarter, not harder.  I was first on the ball, their mid-fielder had tried to just speed on by me and all i had to do was place my foot out and snag the ball and Dribble. And dribble i did. fake left, going right, i even pulled a Maradona.  I was being scouted, you know? Anyways, I make it all the way up the field and then its just me, the tender, and the final defender.  I see one of my linemen a little behind me, but center.  I ended off too far to the left anyways and they were unguarded and so i let the other team’s defender get right up close to me, maybe a foot away and then I step to pass and... The pass connects but I fall to the ground.  I don’t think I passed out, but next thing I really remember is that I was being taken off the field.
“I remember the triainer came to check me out and when they asked me to rotate my leg it hurt, it hurt so bad.  I remember ice, and being taken to the ER, and I remember the doctors saying that I tore my ACL. And well, we won the game, in the end.  Becker pulled though on the pass I gave, so there’s that.  But, what can I say?  That was the end of that for me. No more scouts, surgery, graduation.
“So, that’s how I got this scar.  Now, I think I hear your mother calling us for dinner.  What do you say, wanna give me a hand up?”

this is an all dialogue attempt that had more editing than most of the stuff up, but not a lot more, so don’t hold your breath.  It was based off a prompt by @fancytreatment. I don’t quite think I did it justice but oh well. Sorry in advance my guy. (prompt listed at the end)
“Hello?”
“Hi hi! Whats up? Did you leave something at my house or-”
“Yeah, um, no.  actually, so, remember that church we went to?”
“Which one? When was that?”
“You know. The one we went to last Easter? A few towns over?”
“Yeah…? What about it?”
“Okay, so after I left your house i may have stopped by the store on the way home where I may have run into those weird kids-”
“The ones that wear the cat ears?” “No, the ones with the piercings and flannels and combat boots… you know, the ones with that one kid you’re always on about... with the purple hair, the one who’s always repping some band shirt and smoking or something?”
“Oh”
“God, what’s her name? Its a J name… i think it has an i in it...  jess, jim, jackie, ja-”
“Gina?”
“HA! I knew you liked her!”
“What? No! I can’t help that im just better at names than you are”
“Right right, of course. My bad”
“Oh, shut up... Did you call for something or what?”
“Oh yeah, right. So like i said, left your house, store, see the kids, and me being the good friend that i am, i go up and make contact with the group. You know,  see if i can’t put in a good word for you with Gina and all that.”
“And?”
“AND, i got you her number!”
“You did!?” “You know it! How awesome am I?”
“Yeah, you’re alright i guess…. Wait, what does this have to do with that church from Easter?”
“Oh yeah, so. In order to get you her number I had to go help the whole gang out with something. They said they just needed a driver? I guess none of them have a car. Anyways, I take them to the church and they tell me to wait for them and that it’ll only take 15 minutes.I say ‘sure, fine, whatever’. At this point they know I’m only here for Gina’s number so i guess they were cool with giving it? I mean Gina seemed more than willing for me to pass on her number if you catch my drift.”
“Focus”
“Right. So they scurry around a tree to the far side of the church so I can’t see nothing, but I hear this chanting...Then, all of the sudden I feel this surge of heat and the group is running back to the car yelling at me to ‘open the doors’ and then ‘go go go’. And so as I pull out of the parking lot like a mad man I look back into the rear-view mirror and I see the whole freaking church is up in flames! And so-”
“Wait, wait wait...YOU COMMITTED ARSON!?”
“No I only-”
“I can’t believe i’m friends with a arsonist”
“Dude I-”
“My best friend just committed arson”
“Wait no-”
“OH MY GOD! Does you telling me an accomplice!?!?!”
“Dude”
“What if my mom finds out?”
“Dude”
“What if the school board finds out!?”
“Dude”
“What if this goes on my permanent record and i cant get into college!!?”
“Dude”
“What!?”
“I didn’t just commit arson”
“oh yeah?”
“yeah, i was only...maybe an… unwilling accomplice in it”
“DUDE!”
“AND! Don’t even worry about it, its not like your name will ever come up, you really think I’d drag you into this?”
“...no”
“Good. so, like I was saying, I dropped those punk-satanist-freaks off like if was hot as soon as i passed the school and so now im just driving and around and I was wondering...”
“No.”
“Dude! I didn’t even get a chance to ask!”
“No, you cannot come over”
“Please? I never got a chance to pick up food at the store and you know my mom works the late shift and I know tonight is lasagna night”
“No”
“Common, I’m in emotional distress, pretty please?”
“No”
“Common, i got you psychopaths number”
“Okay, fine, but-”
“Yes! Thanks man! I’ll see you in 5.”
“Wait donthangup-
Prompt:  “Wait, wait, wait- What do you mean you just committed arson?”
(so you see, I went a little rampant, but its fine (maybe))
if you got this far tell me honestly how you think it went? Im not sure how personable the characters actually came out to be and im not sure how follow-able the dialogue actually is? Thanks in advance :)

(this one is also from the emo doc, but is considerably less pseudo edgy, mostly dumb humor) Jan and Rik wandered into the park at around mid-day.  Jan relized briefly that they’ve never heard their name pronounced aloud (they did pop into existence only a sentence ago).  They decided they didn’t care and that they would still try to live life to the fullest.
“Hey Rik?”
“Yeah, Jan?”
“Oh, so that’s how you say it”.
“What?”
“Nothing.”
They both sat on the swingsets for a while.  Basking in the late afternoon sun and basking in the breeze.  Time there felt languid.  Just as they had really started to get their daze on, they heard a little cat mew.  They glanced to each other in confirmation, cats are all well and good but they’re not worth getting up for
A few more minutes lulled by until they heard the cat mew again.  The two shared one more look, heaved a collective sigh, and stood up.  They spread out to comb the park.  Rik found her at the top of the play set, near the slide.  He called out to Jan.  Rik brought the cat down to the park bench where Jan was.  They started at each other in silence.
“Ole Miss.”
“No, Jellybean.”
“No, Jeff.”
“No, Yiff.”
A shared look lead to collective understanding.  The cat would name itself when it was good and ready.  The Cat seemed to sigh in relief. The cat stared at them for another couple minutes, until it layed down head on paws.  Rik and Jan followed suit.
They had laid on the park bench until dusk, when Rik got a text from his mother telling him to get home for dinner.  Rik stood up and told Jan it was time to go.
“Can we keep the cat Rik?”
“I don’t think so Jan”
“Please?” “I don’t know, it’s not really up to me, cat probably has an owner anyways”.
Jan turned to face the cat.  They stared for a hot second.  Jan then turned and started to walk home, a gentle understanding of what will come to be in their mind.  Rik husleted a bit to catch-up, and the cat lazily trailed along.

(this was from a doc I titled “from that one day I was feeling emo”.  I have since returned to that doc for general things, but this was the first entry)
A sudden flash of an image crossed her mind. Brain matter smeared against the wall, a majority of it centering upon the initial point of impact. Blood dripping, slinking, oozing down from that initial spot the most. And there she is, still standing with her forehead leaned up against the wall.  Eyes as glossed over like a fish left out for days, just staring out into the middle distance.
And, for a brief moment, she wondered why not? What would be the difference?  I can’t think now and I wouldn’t think then.  She shook her head, chugged the rest of her energy drink, and kept typing.

(wrote this a while ago, havent re-read it, idk what it is. I about a million % sure i stopped bc I didn’t know what action to have next)
The girl stood tall, shoulders back, staring into the mirror. Today was going to be the day.  She turned, eyes sweeping over the room for the final time.
“Jessica!  Come down here this instant!”
“Coming!”  Taking a final breath she collected the last of her belongings and dashed dashed down the stairs.  Her mother was still dashing around tending to Jess’s little brothers for a few more minutes before she noticed Jess.
“Good heavens girl!  Announce yourself when you enter a room.  Nobody likes a meek brat.”
“Yes mother.”
“Well, out the door!  Out the door!  Time to finally get rid of you,” she beamed (sneered?). “Oh, and boys, do try not to burn the house down while I’m out.  The sitter will be ‘round in about an hour.  Bedtime is still at 9 and do at least pretend to be asleep when I get back. Love you.  Kiss kiss.”
With that Jess and her mother got into the car and drove away.  The hours were spent in relative silence, time seeming languid in its fluidity.  At least silence is better than tearing at each-others throats like last time.  I wonder if she will miss me at all.  Her, Dad, or the boys for that matter.  Nobody even said goodbye.
When they pulled up to the castle that would be her home for at least the next few years it finally dawned on Jess.  This was it. This is what she had been working her whole life for.  Through the ridicule, the pain, the mental effort. It was all for this and she was finally here.
The castle really was something to behold.  Standing at the base of it the towers just seemed to stretch up and up and up, causing jess to lean so far back she almost fell backwards.  The stone was marvelous, seeming to have a slight seen of purple when the light hit it just right.  There were little gaps in the bricking where archers and warlocks used to shoot down from 100 years ago.
