the X factor fanfic that anon is looking for is We Met Under An Umbrella by 1DStyle but I think that the author abandoned it :( I only remember because it was my favorite fanfiction back in the day and I have some of the chapters saved on my old laptop I dont think it is posted anywhere anymore. Hi there, I’ve been trying to find a 1D fic I read years ago and I was wondering if you knew of it. It was about Harry and a girl who I’m pretty sure was called Lottie and they met because the girl auditioned for X Factor but she was really nervous and Harry helped her get through her stage fright. I remember the title had something to do with umbrellas and the girl had a friend who was in a band. I used to read it on the 1D fanfiction website about five years ago and I really want to find it!

He was a being a bit more broody than normal, settled in on his corner of the couch in his and Harry’s apartment with his sketchbook, pencil lightly stroking lines of varying textures on the paper. He seemed to be a bit lost in his own head, pencil mindlessly roaming across the page in the sketchbook like he wasn’t quite into whatever he was drawing.

I wanted to repeatedly smash my face into the desk out of frustration, but I was glad I resisted because Niall placed a gold and white ribbon wrapped box in front of me right where my nose would've connected with the wood. I flinched backwards instead, looking up at him for a second in surprise then back to the box. "From Harry." was all he grunted with a mouth full of toast before he left again. I stared at it like it was some alien object I'd never seen before, mostly because I was still in a daze from just about having put my nose into my skull, then I cautiously reached out and peeled off the little white card stuck to the side and read it. 'Motivation. - Dimps .xxx' Shuffling forward in my seat with a curious frown I delicately undid the ribbon on the box, almost reluctantly because the whole thing looked too pretty to touch. It had been made with pure love and care. I could almost feel it on my fingertips. I flipped back the top to look inside. I'd never cried over seeing a slice of cheesecake before, but there was a first for everything. __________________________________

so I think this is my second time reading this fic? I love it tons because it brings up a lot of concepts that aren't discussed a lot like an OFC that isn't thin and body issues that come with that, cheating, failing out of school, girls that love sex, etc. unfortunately this hasn't been updated since 2014, so it looks like it will never be finished...but there's still 27 chapters of lovely content to enjoy :-)

cute lil fic about Harry and Lana meeting and helping each other get better, essentially. lots of it takes place in a coffee shop!! it's a little on the short side and not a whole lot of plot, but very focused on the characters and development and such :-) really liked this one :-)
